Satoni. It's been a while since we have talked about an MCU movie.

It has been a while. It's been the pro what, maybe two years? 'Cause I thought it was Iron Man.

Yeah, it was Iron Man. And yeah, for those uninitiated, MCU stands for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And when we talked about Iron Man, it wasn't even formally I mean, well, when Iron Man itself was released, it wasn't even formally the MCU. It was just Iron Man.

It was just Iron Man. It was their testing ground for the MCE. It was. So

But I you know, it has been a few years and you know, if we're trying to talk about some of our blockbusters in the last, you know, fifteen, sixteen years. It's hard not to talk about an MCU movement.

Yeah.

Yes. Because they littered the summer landscape for a good decade. You know, for a while there it was largely what the summer was was MCU movies and other franchises like the Fast and the Furious movies, the you know, Hunger Games and so forth.

Yeah.

to escape a summer without an MCU.

movie. By the way, technically the last MCU movie that we talked about was Deadpool and Wolverine.

That's a Deadpool and Rovering, yes, thank you.

But still that was a while ago.

That was like a year and a half.

Yeah, a year and a half ago. So Uh yeah.

So

One was in May, one was in November when we talked about them. So Yep. But yeah, I think it's time to do it again.

Let's talk about another one and rather than spoil every MCU movie, you know, while talking about a particular MCU movie, we're gonna go back to the beginning of the MCU. Yes. So that we don't have the ability to spoil the rest of them.

Because there are bigger blockbuster hits than this particular one. Mm-hmm. But you know, we don't want to spoil the other ones. I think it it's better that we go closer to the chronology of the

Yeah. So sorry if you're looking for us to talk about Avengers Endgame. Yes. Uh we may eventually get to that one, but it's not going to be for a little while.

See, not for a while. So there'd be a lot to fill in to do that. Yeah. We can go with a one that stands alone by itself better than the later ones. Yep. Where you don't need as much background information to get into it.

Exactly. And so the best place to start for that is back in phase one when all of the movies were pretty much standalone movies.

Yes.

I mean except Iron Man two because you kind of had to

Iron Man two was in phase one. Yes. But even then, like there's you need Iron Man one, but you don't need the entire complicated history of the MCU to know it. Yeah.

And though they are standalone more or less movies in uh the in phase one, they still are connected. There are still things that are interwoven between them.

They are building towards something, they're introducing characters that will be part of something larger.

Mm-hmm.

Not then there's the whole end credits, obviously. Yeah. But that's we can get to that.

Yeah. But anyway, that early MCU movie that we're talking about is gonna be the third MCU movie to ever be released. No, I guess fourth. Four fourth MCU movie to ever be released because the third one was a sequel.

was Iron Man's show.

The third one was Iron Man too. So we're going to be talking about the fourth one, which is Thor.

Thor. Twenty eleven? It it feels weird. It feels like it's an older movie than twenty eleven. That but then you think about that's still fifteen years old at this point. Yeah. It feels like it was released feels like it should not be in the twenty tens and the twenty teens. Like it should be feels like it should be an older movie than that. Mm-hmm. But it's not. It's yeah from twenty eleven. Yeah. Uh Kenneth Branoff.

I know. I that was that was a shock when when they announced that. Yes. You know, because Kenneth Branaugh is known for, you know, the Shakespearean type Yes. Henry the stage to screen type movies. Hamlet. Yeah.

Right. But he bring he brings his Shakespearean prowess to this. And in many ways it's appropriate. You got high kind of court intrigue. of a you know, the this king of Asgard and his sons, right? And their rivalry between each other and He actually fits well within kind of the story.

Yes he does. Yes, he does.

So and I I think he did well. It's his only MCU MCU movie.

Mm-hmm. All right.

But I I thought he did a great job. I I think, you know, uh especially'cause it's it's a movie that definitely has set studio cl um sheen to it, we could tell they they are building this larger universe tent. Yeah. And so he has to kind of play within certain parameters. So he doesn't have total freedom. No.

No, but he did hey, I'm sure he did have more freedom than the directors did.

Than later directors. Yes. Right. And that's the thing. I mean

even see that.

Uh post. Um not even post end game, even before that.

Yeah,'cause even then they didn't know if it was gonna go past that.

Yeah, they did it. So, and you know, this was in some ways maybe a uh more of an on sure thing, right? You know, um Iron yeah, you know, we talked about this in the first Iron Man when we covered that one a couple of years ago, but you know, it still had Robert Downey Jr. in it. Mm-hmm. Who's just starting to kind of make a comeback. Yeah. And you know, Iron Man's not he's not an A-less hero, but you know, he's kind of that next tier down.

Especially since Marvel had sold all of its top tier characters by that point. Yeah. So they were stuck with their B list ones. And yeah, back before the Iron Man movie came out, Iron Man was not a big name in comics. Nope.

And then they went with then yeah, well same with Thor, right?'Cause after Iron Man they had Hawk, right? And um Hawks uh Character, right? You know, we have the classic the Incredible Hulk series, which kind of has kept kind of kept him within

Yeah.

the pop cultural pop culture kind of mindset. Yeah. But the pop the the Hulk of the comics is not as well known, right? Uh And so, you know, and then we had the Aang Lee Hawk several years before that, you know, the Incredible Hawk movie, which uh Um that was m that was met with mixed reviews and mixed reactions.

But I always I always thought it was an underrated movie.

Uh but then the Incredible Hawk, you know, that came after Iron Man. Again, that was that was met with mixed kind of reactions too. Mm-hmm. Right. And now they had the post credit sequence of that that kind of teased doing more, right? But you still didn't know. And Iron Man two really only happened because the first Iron Man movie was so successful.

Yeah.

Um and so now all of a sudden we're they're gonna do Thor. Which was teased at the end of Iron Man two in the post credit sequence. But again, Thor, like he is a major part of the Marvel comics. But again, he's not a Spider Man. He's not Rolverine.

The the majority of Thor's movie You know i hi his appearance in movies was uh he was I believe in the Made for TV movie trial of the Incredible Hulk.

Yeah.

In the seventies. And then he was heavily referenced in Adventures in Babysitting. Vincent D'Anofrio played the guy that uh the little sister thought was Thor.

Bye-bye. Great. And so, you know, and I know that the didn't You know, certain writers and producers that you know throughout, you know, the eighties and nineties, like, should we do a thorough movie? Right? But it never really got off the ground until they started thinking about doing this MCEL.

Yeah.

And this is really the movie that in some ways became the tech. Yeah.

Cause this was the first one that wasn't Iron Man. Yeah.

'Cause and you know, this is a c you know, this goes in the c the cosmos also. Like how how do you ground this? How do you make this interesting? And And it's funny. They w they went ahead and basically cast an unknown Australian actor.

Yeah. I mean, his... His major film credit before this was he played Kirk's dad in the uh Star Trek.

Yeah.

The reboot.

He get he gets killed off in the first five minutes. Ha ha ha ha.

But yeah, so I mean other than Yeah,'cause we had Iron Man and we had Hulk Incredible Hulk, which, like we said, Incredible Hulk is a more established character than the others, but So it was kind of a safe a safe bet on that one. But Then Iron Man two, so this is the first movie that wasn't The first of the true like B level characters that wasn't Iron Man.

And you know, it did well. It was tenth at the box office in twenty eleven. Mm-hmm. Right. It it ended up doing really well. uh because it was marketed well and again like they took a chance on Chris Hemsworth and he really

Really?

Yeah.

But he embodied Thor.

And you know, it's really a great little cat you know, cast overall, right? You're probably the most popular the two most popular people in this movie were Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins. And I love Anthony Hopkins in this.

He is brutal.

He brings he is perfect for what Kenneth Branall wants to do with us. He brings all his Shakespearean broadcasts.

It is yeah, he is amazing in this role.

It's also you know it's also got Renee Rousseau, you know, by the actress who hadn't really been in a whole lot for a while prior to this um

This role.

Um and it's funny, like after this, she mostly had this this role in uh the this whole series, and then like Nightcrawler, uh a few years later with uh Jake Gyllenhaal. Uh but yeah, Natalie Portman, who um pretty s she's fine in this role, I think. For me it's odd in some ways because like Chris Hemsworth is such an unknown

Yeah.

I mean, like her she's almost too recognizable.

Yeah, I mean, she plays a character.

Nelly Portman. No.

She plays a c you mean she she plays the character well, but she plays a character that Several other people could have played, but

She's a good actress.

Yes.

This is right after she won the Oscar for Black Swan. Yeah. Um which I think was a better role for her. Uh I I think they could have gone with someone a little bit else uh a little bit more less knowing than her. For the role.

Yeah.

At least for this movie. That that's you know, but again, it's a it's a kind of a small

Yeah, I mean there she doesn't there's nothing wrong with her in the role. She does a great job. She's Natalie Portman. She she's a good actress. She's you know, she does well with the role. But yeah, I I could see I could search.

When you have

Yeah, you know.

Someone she doesn't actually sc share screen time with is Tom Hiddleston. And he was also basically an all-known actor at this point. Mm-hmm.

Yeah. I mean this is the first thing I ever saw him in.

Amazing in this.

Yeah. Yeah, he stopped.

Like it's funny, like yeah. Like him, he you know, it's be thinking about NCU villains, like it you know, not to spoil it too much, but he he does play Loki. Mm-hmm. I mean we know that you know the Marvel comics know that Loki is a villain. Yeah. Um but you know he he's so complicated in this and he it's because it also is so so perfect in the

He's so convincing.

And it that's but I think for a while there, um, before you know Thanos, like people say like, Oh yeah, he's the the best Marvel villain. Even though I think Jeff Time has been kind of Jeff Bridges role. In the first time.

With Oberai stain. Yeah.

So

I mean it's also Jeff Bridges though.

Yeah, I mean it's Jeff It's Jeff Bridges, exactly. Uh but you know, Idris Elba is also in this movie and he is fantastic in his role. Uh this movie also kinda put cat dennings on the map for me, for better or for worse.

Yeah. I mean before this, the main thing that I had seen her in was forty year old virgin.

Yes.

Or she sounded like a tea kettle.

Uh I actually I like Sue's really good. She was perfect for four-year-old versions.

Yeah, sure.

I actually kind of like her in this. This is not a bad role for her.

No, it's not.

I don't like her character kind of as progresses in the whole series, but she's fine here. I did not like two broke girls. But that has nothing to do with her role.

It has nothing to with yeah. It has nothing to do with this movie.

Uh but then the the other person that's in this that I mean he is just always brilliant is Stellan Skarsgard. Yes.

Snell and Skarsgard was perfectly cast for this movie. Yeah. I mean all the scar dots are just great.

Yeah.

That's just the

It's the it's the pewter SARS Guard, SARS Guard. Mm-hmm. Yeah.

But they elevate it. They elevate this movie so much. Like I every time I watch this movie. I forget how good it is.

Yes, I agree with you.

It's like I've seen it a ton of times, but every time I watch it, I find myself thinking, This movie is a lot better than I remembered it being.

I and for me, I mean it's actually been a while since I've seen it. And that that was exactly the thought I had to say, Oh yeah. I've got like this is actually like really good. Mm-hmm. Like this this is actually this is held up. Yeah.

Like I would put this movie Up in the upper echelons of MCU movies. I mean it's not like in the top probably five, but I'd put it up

Refreshing about the simplicity of it. Yeah. Before the get everything kinda gets interwoven and convoluted and complicated. But yeah, this is this is good. I mean this is it's a it's a it's a solid movie and it's really, really enjoyable movie.

yeah it is

I know that we'll hit some of the other Characters and actors that um were important within uh The film or the movie and also like later in the series, without spoiling too much their roles later in the series.

But then I mean we've also got you know, of in the supporting cast, we've got Ray Stevenson. He's just great. We've got Jamie Alexander. Who she was another one of those somewhat unknown, but she'd done a bunch of TV stuff. And so I mean her name was out there, but not necessarily, you know, a huge name.

So we have Josh Dallas in this. Who uh that role was almost exactly Levi.

Yes. It was I think it w it was originally supposed to be Zachary Levi, but he had to cancel or You can turn it down or something.

Scheduling conflict. Yeah. And then it was gonna be Stuart Townsend. But he had created differences, I think, and then it became Josh Dallas.

And of course in the sequels, in the Thor sequels, then it is uh Zachary Levi.

Kind of one of those under the radar, like uh under the radar casting switches. Yeah. we have the person responsible for taking The Nicholas Cage's faces. Oh.

Yes, we do.

Colin Fiore's in this movie.

He is.

I keep I kept expecting him I kept expecting John Divolder to show up. Yeah. As really John Tavolta as, you know, Castro Troy. Not John Tavolta, actually, no. It's Castro Troy. Mm-hmm. Asking him, why'd he take my face?

Why didn't Loki go to him and be like, hey? I want you to take his face.

Off. Do we think he you know, he's given his powers of uh cryogenics and freezing, you think he might actually be able to pull that off?

Yeah, he might be able to. He might be able to.

Clark Greg is in this movie, right? You know, this

We probably have to do that.

He's actually substantially in the movie?

Yeah, he's he's one of those recurring characters throughout the early stages of the MCU. But

I think this is probably the most screen time he's had he had so far.

Yeah.

In the series.

He was in a few scenes in Iron Man and we talked about him back then, but

But he gets a good three or four scenes in this movie. And he's part of a major kind of um set sequence. Yeah. We are we got Joseph Gat. Yeah. Maximiliano Hernandez, who becomes kind of uh uh he is gonna be show up a little bit later.

Yeah. is recurring throughout the the MCU.

Isaac Cappy is in this. And I think we'll I think we'll save a couple of the others, at least one of them for later.

Yeah, so...

Stan Lee makes his usual cameo appearance. We'll get to where that is later. Yep. Yep. When that happens.

Awesome. Yeah, Tadanova Asano.

Uh if we're gonna be uh talking about the Warriors three. We should we cannot forget him.

We cannot. He is one of the Warriors three that runs around with Lady Sif.

That's right. That sounds like a cool band.

And that's... It really does.

Ha ha ha. Well yeah, it's it's the movie that Mala like we said, Malaways, this is the movie that proved that we can make the MCU m actually maybe warned. Mm-hmm. It it's funny looking back at it now because like yeah, this almost like this innocent time before we had like really like a five year stretch of just like being bombarded with a MCU movies that was adding on to each other towards, you know, what, three really four movies, right? The Avengers, Age of Ultron,

Yep. But yeah, this is still back in the early days when

Exactly.

When they were making them known,

Yeah. And it's funny. Then then you probably had someone like Anthony Hopkins like, Okay, yeah, I'll I'll do that. I haven't done them A big Hollywood movie in a while.

Yeah.

Okay. He was wasn't thinking of like, oh, I get to be in an MCU movie. Like Later on, like Michael Douglas probably thought, Oh, I get to do MCU. Michelle Piper, I get to do MCU. Anthony Hopkins, Renee Roos are like uh

They probably did it because Kenneth Branhow was directing.

Yes. That's actually it's probably that's probably true. So

But evidently, uh from what I remember hearing about back when this movie first came out, Kenneth Brannot All his laugh has been a huge fan of Thor.

I I could I can see why. It comes out on the screen. Yeah.

So I guess he jumped at the chance to direct this one.

Yeah, that makes sense. I g I see it. I see it.

Spoiler alert, we're gonna be talking about this entire movie, beginning, middle, and end. So if you have not seen it, you don't wanna be spoiled, pause the podcast, watch the movie and come back and listen. If you have seen it or you just don't mind being spoiled, keep on listening. But we are going to be spoiling this movie, and we will try our very best not to spoil other movies from the MCU while we talk about this one.

So we start out. Let's see how many centuries ago was it?

No, we don't have a century. I guess I guess first we start out in the desert.

That's right.

Yeah. Yeah.

Like at night.

Mm-hmm.

And we're like a little R V that's out in the desert. It's like a research you know, it's an R V but's clearly equipped to do research.

Yes. And there's lights in the sky behind the clouds. And we get Stellan Skarsgard, Natalie Portman, and Kat Dennings and they're

Exciting. That there's this Mean they they believe it to be like an Aurora Borealis kind of thing.

say it seems like a solar type of storm. It's definitely not the Aurora. No. Because otherwise Dennis Quaid and Jim Cavizel would be there.

Yes, they would. Not at the same time though. They would be there in different times.

Yes. Mm-hmm.

But yeah, so they're all excited and they're racing their RV toward it. And all of a sudden, this man falls from the sky. Right into the front of the RV.

Yeah. And at first they're kinda blinded by as he falls, like he just the the light from the storm just gets bigger and it kinda creates a little bit of a sandstorm where You know, they they're right in front, but they kinda lose control of the the R V.

And After they hit him then it flashes back to like fifteen hundred years ago or something like that.

Yeah, it's about fifteen, you know, it's still a bit pri you know, kind of uh Early the early like dark ages, right? It's Like maybe eight hundred, nine hundred, and it's in like Scandinavia.

Yeah. It's in Tonsburg, Norway.

And we get Anthony Hopkins' narration. Yes. So now you know we're gonna get serious with Anthony Hopkins.

When Anthony Hopkins starts narrating your movie, you know it's it's Yeah, you you know you know this shit just got real. No.

All of a sudden Martin Lawrence is in Norway in the eight hundreds and yeah you're like

One moving in slow motion as a helicopter flies over him. And Will Smith's there too. But I'm sorry

Sixty five AD.

Yeah. in Tonsburg, Norway.

Right. And you know, and the gist of what Anthony Hopkins is saying is that You know, before modern times, you know. They you know, they did the ah the people did not see these stories of giants and gods and all these as being mythical. They saw them as being real. Yeah. Right.

Yeah.

Right? Attacking this village. Destroying it, freezing people.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And then This beam comes out of the sky. This rainbow colored beam. And when it disappears you have Anthony Hopkins.

Thank you.

With an army.

You know, and the voiceover goes to say, you know, Odin came to fight the ice giants and Yeah, we see this battle go on between these as guardians and the Ice Jump.

The way um Hopkins puts it, right, is that Van Kind accepted the simple truth that they were not alone in the universe. Some worlds they believe to be home to their to their gods. And they knew that feel the others. Is the what that's the gist of how he starts it. Right. And obviously these ice giants are the ones that they fear. Yeah. But now they're gods of coming to save.

Yes, their gods are coming to save them. And so we see little s snippets of this battle going around and eventually Uh Odin. Anthony Hopkins. has the Ice Giant leader at his mercy, and Odin is now missing an eye from this battle.

His right eye is missing. He had it when he came out. Yes. But he had the he had his eye when he came down. He did not have his eye at the end. So that just goes to show how difficult these ice giants were to defeat. Yeah.

Out.

He will bring me Nicholas Cage's eye.

Yeah.

But anyway, so they defeated the the frost giant.

Yeah, they they help bring peace to the universe. Mm-hmm. Right? And then we switch from this narration and we see that he's not speaking to us, the audience. He's speaking to his sons.

Yes, he's speaking to his son.

Two young boys about eight, ten years old. Ha ha ha. And it says like one day one of you will have to defend the people. Mm-hmm.

One day one of you will be king.

And then the brunette's like, oh, do the ice giants still live? Or the frost giants still live? And then the blondes, like when Um King uh hunt them down and slay them all. Just like you, father.

Yeah.

But then father, who this is now we can easily we can say it easily, it's is Odin. Hopkins plays Odin. Take a wise king does not seek out war. They must be ready for it. And they're both like the both yeah, we're ready, father. You know, like they're eight, they're not they're not ready for war. What are you talking about?

Yeah.

And then comes the clincher of the line though, right? One of you only one will ascend to the throne. Both were born to be kings. Mm-hmm.

Right, but then you know we kind of cut to years later, these boys are growing up.

Yep. With long hair? And the brunette has grown up to be Tom Hiddleston with long hair.

Ha ha ha.

And

really likes red, the other really likes green.

And Chris Hemsworth is riding into Into the city on a chariot. Victorious in battle. And he is Going to his coronation. He's going to be crowned King of Asgard.

He became king of Asgard. His dad's not dead, but his his dad's gonna have to kick the

No, but his dad's gonna that she hates on the crown to his son.

I am gonna pass a crown to my son. I am gonna live my retirement nicely. Mm-hmm. 'Cause I don't need the wear that heavy wears the crown.

Yeah, yep, heavy is the head that wears the crown. And so As as he's getting ready, he's gonna say the words to pass the the crown on to his son Thor.

We cut to another room in this the kingdom here of Asgard. And it's this heavily guarded room.

Basically like a trophy room.

Like a trophy room, yes, but there's this one particular trophy that we saw earlier when they defeated the ice

Giants that Odin had taken from the frost giants. Back in the day. It's this box it's uh they call it the casket. It's uh basically it it it allows the it fires a frost beam out and it freezes stuff. Yeah. Essentially. But it is basically where the frost giants are. Where their main power lies.

And now it's in safekeeping in Asgard. Or so we think.

Because we have these guards that are guarding this room. And all of a sudden They start to freeze. Then we get a couple of frost giants that come in.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger comes in behind them. Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm. And Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris rises from the ice.

No. If only, if only, no. Odin senses something is wrong right before he's able to put the the crown on the Thor's head. The frost giants.

Yep, and so the coronation ends right there, before Thor is crowned.

And we come back into this trophy room, this layer, right? And behind where they kind of holding the things. It's like this almost like almost kinda like a giant kind of chain leak checkerboard type.

Yeah. So I mean it it sort of the sections of it sort of start disappearing, and this giant robot looking thing comes walking out.

It's called it he's called it well, I should say he. It's called the show.

Sure.

They don't call it a destroyer yet, but the destroyer.

Destroyer. But it's this giant, you know Humanoid robot.

that no, that the king can control. Yeah.

And so its face opens up. It takes its face off. And it fires a blast of fire at these frost giants and kills them.

Yeah.

Right.

And then it just kind of retreats and it kind of like melds back into that wall. Mm-hmm. Because I think it's almost like there's a giant it's almost like there's this this beam of light kind of coming behind the wall.

And Thor's upset. He is pissed.

He's upset. He's pissed.

That these frost giants somehow snuck into the city.

befuddled about what happened. He wants to be calm and reasonable about How they got it. And Loki's just kind of being quiet about all of it while Thor's having a temper tantrum about this, like this will not stand, this aggression will not stand.

This aggression will not stand. If you want a toe, I'll get you a fucking toe. With nail polish.

I demanded to excite that trampoline guy at my coordination and he was not here. Yeah, it's like no, like they will pay for this. The frost giants will pay for messing up my party.

Yeah. It's my party and I'll cry. So he is determined to he he you know, he tells he tells his father that they need to go to Jodenheim, which is the realm where the frost giants are from, and they need to wipe them all out. 'Cause they broke the truce.

Right. And it it should be important to note too, like one of the things that Odin asked Thor before he crowns him and before this happens is like Do you promise to cast aside all your selfish ambitions? Right now he's obviously not casting aside the selfish ambitions.

He said he does. He said I do.

Yeah.

But obviously he doesn't. You know, and Odin keeps on telling him, No, we're gonna let this slide, we're not gonna go attack them. I'll meet with Loffy, the frost giant the king of the frost giants, and

We'll find the breach and defenses. Well seal that I'll seal this over I'll I will smooth this over the cross giants. And this is not good enough for Thor, right? We see him now, and he is just having a conversation with Loki. And, you know, also the uh the Warriors three are there, right? Yes. And Loki actually you can tell Loki does a good job here, right? He's um He's like, no, I I no, I agree with you, brother, right? But you know. Loki seems lost the emotional sort, at least outwardly.

He seems to be the cooler head.

Yes. He's just saying like but he can't do anything without the fine father. Right. Those like, well, that's the only way to ensure the safety of our borders. It's like, door, it's madness. And then that's when the Warriors three come in, like what's madness?

We love madness.

We're going to Junheim! And they're like, Let's go! Ha ha ha.

So Volstag.

It's like no, we're not doing this.

She's trying to be the voice of reason.

She's the woman. She's gonna try to be reasonable. Mm-hmm.

She's trying to be the voice of reason. Meanwhile, Volstag is like really excited about going. He reminds me of Gimli. Bolstag Ray Stevenson has always reminded me of Gimli.

Certainty of death? What are you waiting for? So they don't need the the the Warrior Three do not need

They don't need convincing. You know, they're they're Thor's best friends. Right? They are his Battle companions, you know, they they follow his every will. They are proud to fight by his side.

If this being can bring people between worlds, like this seems like a pretty important thing. Right. So it seems like, you know, you'd want someone guarding this, right?

That's what they thought about this.

Who better to guard it? The Interselba. Heimdall. Yeah. Now Idris Elba in this movie, he so Heimdall is a character that he can see everything. like everything in all nine realms

Already you're you're thinking like, okay, what is Loki Begins to make you think, what's Loki's motives? They they they start playing at C

So he lets them into the into the Biofrost and he activates it and you know sends them to Yodonai.

Yep. And they get there and it's a cold, barren wasteland. That's mm-hmm. No the deep midnight blue Icy Brawl.

Now Real quick, so we've got Thor, Loki, Lady Sif and the Warriors three.

We've we've already talked about we've already talked about Thor and Loki uh quite a bit. You know, Thor, he's armed with a hammer. He's our own. It's made of Uru, it was forged in the heart of a dying star. And this is his signature weapon. His name is Mulnir. Lady Sith is like a Xena type warrior woman.

She's got armor and whatnot, and she's just this warrior this warrior. Volstag is like we said earlier, he reminds us of of Gimli, because he's kind of dwarf like. He's you know got this big long beard, he's got an axe. Yeah. Has a very dwarf like fighting.

Fandral, Josh Dallas, and Yeah.

Spockler Robin Hood type.

Mm-hmm. And then you've got Hogan, who is Tatonobu Asano. He's more of a samurai type. Samurai type. Samurai archer type.

So they go and storm the gates, basically. They walk up and they are met by Loffy.

And he just he gives them the choice, like, hey, like I You you're really violating us right now.

Yeah, it's like you are violating the truce.

Let you just go home now, right?

And Doris like I just want to know how did your people get into Asgard? Right? And Loffy's is like, Well, the house of O Odin is full of traitors. And it cuts to Loki's face. Mm-hmm. Not saying that means anything.

Loki's a a a perfect little angel.

He's a delightful son. Yeah, yeah.

He has he has no nefarious, you know, thoughts in his head. There I mean he's He may be the god of mischief, but he's not mischievous.

And Thor was like, don't dishonor my father's name. And Loffy's like, hey, your father is a murderer and a thief. And all of a sudden he just turns into goblin. We want something. But you know, Lo Loffy's a smart smart guy. He's like, you know, like Yeah, like why why'd he come here? He didn't come out and make peace. Like, no, you came for battle. You long for it. You're craving it. But you're just a boy. Trying to prove yourself a man.

So right.

Yeah.

And Loki and Lady Sif and the Warriors three too. Turn around and

You know, they're gonna turn around like you know what, we're just they they're gonna walk back. They're gonna they're they're gonna be Loki tries to cool things down with it and Again, Lothie's like, I like he says, like, yeah, he'll I'll give you a chance to turn around now. Like nothing ever happened. But Loffy knows that he's a hot head fan.

Yep, so he says one more thing.

He calls them

And I love Loki's like damn.

I love that look on Loki's face.

And he's got his hammer.

And then he turns around and And he attacks and

And now it's a big fight.

There's this big battle going on. All of the frost giants are coming out and they're fighting these five people. There are six people. They're fighting these six people.

Yeah, yeah. And so, you know, and they're they're they're doing well and they get you know, uh

Yeah, they're holding their own.

No, and we get to see some of Loki's powers, right? So one you know, he is, you know, not just, you know, kind of uh the Lord of mischief, but he can kind of

Yeah, he can sort of copy himself and Same projections over.

He's able to fool some of these frost giants. And then he attacks him, kills him. Mm-hmm. Right. But they all end up getting kind of pushed the edge of this cliff. And there's this uh this giant um Yeah. Almost like a massive massive Wolf dog type of uh.

Uh yeah.

ice creature, right? Uh more than like a giant like polar bear type creature. And it kind of climbs up the face of this cliff and looks like it's about to attack them. Again, Thor has his his his hammer, which has special properties, which he can spin this thing at incredible speeds and he will

Why would that be a good thing? He spins it like a like a propeller.

He launches himself.

Throws it, but holds onto it and just lets it carry him.

And this thing is like roaring at them. And he just goes through the open mouth of this thing. and out the other side. Mm-hmm. And it drops dead. Yep. And he comes back. Yes. He's not looking to come in and just tear up everybody. He's wanting to solve it diplomatically.

And Doors thinking like he's he's thinking that his father's there to fight with him. Father, we can kill everybody together. Silence. Right. And you know, and Laffey's just like, oh father, you look weary. Mm-hmm. Right. And then it was just like look look like the loppy like let end this now. He's like your boy sought this out. Like, yes. But it's the actions of a boy. Mm-hmm.

Not a king. But it's his father who's saying so he has to kind of accept it.

Like treat them as such, and we can end this now before there's further bloodshed. He's like, No, we'll be on diplomacy, I'll father. He'll get what he came for. And it's like, okay. And then they all get caught back up. Mm-hmm the Bifrosts. Well not all, because the the Six plus Odin. Yeah. The Frost Giants.

Yet. You know, take them back up in the byfrost.

They go back to they go back to Asgard. Obviously Odin is still none too happy with

I wanna say it was Volstag also. But anyway, so He gets there and Odin tells the Warriors Lady Sif and the other two of the Warriors three to get Volstag to the healing house. To the healing house.

Healing house, yeah. And you know, he's the worst like, you know I was just protecting my

In other words, like you can't protect your friends. Right? Yeah. Like how can he protect a kingdom?

And then we find out that the Th that uh the reason why Odin knows is because Loki is the one that told on Thor. Yes. Loki Tattle.

So before they leave the Bifrost. So yeah, so Thor's trying to explain his actions to his father, but Odin's not happy.

So basically this beam this this light surrounds Thor and is just his Yeah. So he starts ripping the his armor off, rips his cape off, and then

Just starts.

The name of my boss.

Chainmail type. Like under armor.

And his yeah. He's like, and he says in the name of my father and his father, I owe an all father to cast you out. He gets just Like force hit.

Yes.

Into the pie frog.

Into the bifrost.

Right, and then Odin picks up the hammer and he starts speaking into it.

Pulls it up to his mouth like a microphone and he starts just whispering into it. He says He who holds his hand holds.

What's this here?

Hold his hammer. Shall have all the powers of Thor. Or shall possess the powers of Thor. And then he throws it to

Door landing right in the desert and kind of getting up stunned and then getting hit by that RV.

But yeah as R right after he puts this enchantment on the on the hammer, he throws the hammer into the bifrost. So into the beam.

So it's also gone into the beam device. And so, you know, he, you know, like I said, we've seen now how the connection of the that small opening prologue with this, right?

And they go down and they they find Chris Emsworth. Yeah, laying on the ground, unconscious.

And you know, and he gets up like right away and like you know, um Natalie Portman or Jane, Jane Foster. And Darcy, right? James is like, get the per se kid, right? It's like just I hope he's not dead. Right. He doesn't want anything to do with them, right? He is just like worried about his hammer. And he just starts saying, hammer, hammer. It draws like, yeah, you're pretty hard.

Yeah.

Right. But he just still keeps stumbling around like he's a drunk man. Thank you. And Eric's still back there. So uh Sun Skarsgard plays Eric, right? Uh and you know, he's like, uh I think we need to get him to the hospital, right? Before we get there, Darcy just gets a little too jumpy around this guy. She's got a taser.

Taze is the god of thunder.

Ha ha ha. Eric Selvig, by the way.

Oh, and we also didn't mention before that um he doesn't just have a hammer. He's also the god of thunder and he uses his hammer to basically focus his power to cast lightning and stuff like that.

And thunder and the such.

And then we cut to them and like Eric's like, next time you decide to taser somebody. Make sure he's already in the car. So we don't have to drag this g the god of thunder into the Ha ha.

The back of the army.

And he looks like you're two little scrawny ladies and human overweight, middle aged Norwegian. Well sweet, sweet. Anyway, Scandinavian guy.

Scandinavian, yeah. So yeah, his name is Eric Selvig.

So they cut to the hospital on the the the DR. And nurse's like, uh, so what's his name? And Jane's like, uh, he said it was Thor. It's like uh in relationship like uh we've never met him today. Josh is like, uh well she hit him with the car tonight. Like, but you changed it, man.

Yep.

And lay it with a thud on earth, and it got tasered. He's gonna be confused. Right. And so he starts fighting the hospital staff as they're just trying to get they're just trying to triage triage him. Right. And then they call security and security tases him.

Again. Yep.

Right. Right as you say, you're no match for the mighty

Yep. Then he gets tasty. And so then they strap him down to the bed.

Yep. And then so, you know, these strapped down and you know, the the other three are they they're having a conversation and you know, Eric's like You know, I you don't think this is magnetic, do you? And then Jane's like, no, I think it might be an Einstein Rosenberg. And Josh's like what? And there's like I thought you were a science major. She's like a political science.

Ha ha. And yeah. Eric looks at Jane. He's like the only applicant.

And so Eric just does a quick debrief for not just Darcy, but for the entire audience in case they don't know. It's like it's a theoretical connection between two different points of space-time.

And then Eric cuts her off. He's like, It's a wormhole.

Yeah.

And it's they're showing, you know, they have these like um these readouts and Jane's like, look at these, like show trying to show Eric, like look at these stars that I recorded in this storm I took pictures of, like The these constellations should not be in our sky at this time of year. Right.

In fact, I mean these constellations shouldn't even be in our sky. Regardless of what time of year it is. So Then she starts wondering if you know, maybe some of this stuff that the guy was saying is true.

Yeah, what's the sky? What's going on with the sky? Maybe we should find out about that.

Eric is very skeptical. He thinks a crazy job.

We uh we should say also, um Before as they are driving off to the hospital after they got him into the van, we see another beam of light come down in the distance. And then you could see it it hit the earth you know, the earth and

Just didn't fall out of the sky.

Yeah. Right. So that's important because obviously, you know, it's it's the hammer. Right? Because that went through two as we saw. So And so they realize they need to go back to the hospital. Right as they're talking about this, because they've left after they tased them and to do them again. Right.

So they think at the very least. And he has answers that they need.

Yep. So but what we don't so we see the scene is they're starting to go back to the hospital. He has escaped from his restraints again.

Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

And he gets out uh one of the loading bays, loading docks.

And it runs right in front of their RV and they hit him again.

the car they they hit him again.

So they get him up into the RV and they drive off.

And they say, you know, we should probably owe this guy breakfast.

So they're taking a little diner.

And he discovers his favorite drink. He is with Grant Heslov on this.

Loves coffee.

He's like, I want some more.

He takes it he he he downs his coffee. He's like, I like this drink. Another and he slams the the mug down on the ground and breaks it.

Chris Hemsworth, this scene is terrific. 'Cause he still is acting like his as guarding himself, but like yeah, you could tell like he knows he's not at home, he's in a different realm, but He's still just gonna act like the lore. This isn't amnesia.

Nope.

He knows who he is.

Yep.

Right. And so while they're having this kind starting this conversation, we kind of cut two. A whole bunch of people have discovered In the middle of the desert, in this rock.

Yes, in the middle of this crater.

And they keep trying to pull, yeah, it's just you know, because it made this impact crater and then it's stuck into a rock in the center of that impact crater, right? And people are just trying to just pull it out. And they can't do it. Right. And so now that th there were people are going, there's people from all around that are coming that they've heard about this hammer being in there. They're just gonna try to pull this hammer out of the ground. Yep. Out of this rock. And they can't do it.

Or it's basically like the sword and the stone. The sword and the stone. It's all these all these big strong men are lining up to try to lift this hammer. And nobody's able to do that.

Oh get a uh wench and put it to the back of a pickup truck. And they tell the driver uh all right.

For it.

Tears off the the whole bed of the truck. The entire part of the truck and then then you see the driver of the truck, he puts his head out and it's Stan Lee. He's like, Did we get it?

No Stan. No. No. I'm so sorry.

So yeah, th that is Stanley's came on.

He is worthy in our hearts though. Yes.

Yes, if anyone is worthy to lift Muelenere, it's Stanley. He created Muelnair.

Yes. So, but off in the distance, kind of at the top of the ridge, looking out over the crater, you got Clark Gregg. And it tells us like I think we got it.

And we go back into that cafe where all of a sudden you know he's just he's eating away and they're they're talking. Mm-hmm.

And Jane seems very interested in the conversation.

And he just starts telling saying all these things about Asgard and Odin and Thor. And Eric just listening to all this, he's like, I know all these stories.

I was told these stories as a child.

Ha ha ha.

And then these two guys walk into the bar or into the Cafe, the diner. And they go sit up at the counter. And they're talking about This satellite that fell out of the sky. And Thor hears this. And so he gets up and he goes and asks them about this satellite. Okay, that looks really weird. It looks like he's like a hammer?

And so now he wants to be a

So he asked them where it is and they're like It's about fifty miles due west of here. So Thor decides he's gonna walk it.

And they're like, you can't walk that. And he you know, he just looks at Jane's like, Hey, you've been very polite and very hospitable. Right? But you know, I I you know, I I need to go get my uh hand I need to go get this somehow. I could do it. And Eric's like don't you might Eric's like tries to pull us out like don't have anything to do with

Yeah. Because Eric is still very, very skeptical.

But she still could give him a ride. Right now, here's maybe my other Potentially about

Well she's not gonna give a red because he leaves. He goes and walks away.

That's right. He walks away. That's right. Um So this takes place in New Mexico. I don't think we mentioned that yet. No until we said it was a desert earlier, but it's been established since then that this is in New Mexico, a town in New Mexico around tr a small town However, one of my little complaints about this, like we could tell this was a set built for the movie. Yes. And there's a lot of um like product placement in this town.

Yeah.

Which would not be twenty five hundred people. And would be it'd be one thing if like it was Definitely close to another town that was larger where people might live or work, but it does not look like twenty five hundred people live in this town. And it's definitely too definitely too perfect in a lot of ways. So I mean th this is where I kinda talk where I kinda like you can see the the studio stuff kind of uh Seeping too far into it, maybe.

Yeah.

Sm small little thing. Not big. But you know, it's obviously designs.

And so what also what we had uh No, I guess uh yeah, I guess that doesn't come yet. Never mind.

So we have a scene with both Sif and the Warriors. We see we have a scene scene two scenes.

Where Bell Stag is healing.

And And they're back down kind of like in that um that trophy room. Right. And the the they begin to talk. This conversation so it's different.

Here so there's something that we didn't mention in the f in the battle at Jodenheim earlier. Right that's very important for here. So

That's right. Yes, yes, yes.

While Volstag was fighting one of the frost giants, it grabbed his arm. And he ended up with frostbite on his arm. Just like from a touch. Shortly after that, one of the frost giants grabbed Loki's arm. And his arm just started to turn blue. It didn't freeze him, it didn't give him frostbite, it just started blue.

Hello, little man.

And then...

The frost giant and Loki are kind of surprised by this.

So

You know, that that started getting low key thinking. Which then leads us to the scene. Where they're in that trophy room and Loki's talking to Odin. And

Yeah.

If the casket was all that he took all those years ago. From Jörnheim.

He's like, Yeah, is and so you know, he wants like, What am I? And it's just like you're my son.

You're my son.

I was like, well, in the aftermath of battle, I went to the temple and I found

A baby. A baby. A baby frost giant.

For a f

Yeah.

And it was abandoned and suffering left to die. Ploppy son. Very Spartan.

Mm-hmm. Mm. Yeah. All right. And so he picks up this baby. It it I mean, while he's describing it, it shows this flashback. Yep. And there's this blue baby. It's crying and he picks him up and as he picks him up. the blue on his skin turns to a Caucasian.

And Loki said, Well, why? You were knee deep in the blood. Why would he take me? And I was like You were an innocent child. But looky looks like, no, there's more. There's more, right? And this is you know, this is like most some of the most biggest emotions you're gonna get out of like Loki in this entire

Movie, right? Yeah.

And then finally, well, I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day. Bring about an alliance, bring about peace. But it doesn't matter now. And Loki's like Sir I'm just a stolen relic, locked up until you might have use.

My son.

I love you. It's like I didn't tell you'cause I wanted to protect you. Because I'm the monster, people parents tell their children about light. It's like no. And now Loki now Loki is more he's not upset about that he's taken That Thor is the favorite son.

And now he's realizing why he will never be the king of Asgard, because he is a frost giant.

But as he's doing this, Odin collapses.

Yeah, it's all it's too much for Odin and he and he collapses. Yep.

And so I think this scene actually happens before the coffee scene at the uh

Yeah. So

Yeah, because this is where before he leaves, like he tells he's like he's like, Oh yeah, I gotta go to my hair, you know, he names it and then I I love Tarzan's like Mew Mew. Ha ha ha.

But so after so yeah, so after Thor leaves to go find his hammer.

They go back to there's like this gas station that they have with the the the staging area and there's all these black cars and that got a Agent Colson. Mm-hmm. His black suit is there and they're they're loading all their stuff up. Their computers, their boxes, their files, everything. And Jane's like, You can't do this. And the Air's like, What are you doing? He's like, Oh, I'm with Shield. Like we're we're taking a

Like on the shield, we're taking research and she's like, You can't do this. I can't just go to r and and so yeah, so it's like I can't you can't take this. He's like, Yes, I can.

I made some of this stuff.

and I can't just Yeah. And he gives her a check. He hands her a check and

I can't just go buy this stuff. I can go can't go to Radio Shack and buy this stuff. I built most of this stuff myself.

Uh

You mean like she's like everything here and everything that's in this notebook and she holds up her notebook. It's like this is all of my research into this. And then one of the other shield agents comes up and takes a notebook from her hand.

And so now we cut back to Asgard and the Warriors three and six, they want to talk with Odin. They want to plead with him to bring Thor. But when they get to the throne room, who's on the throne? Not Oda.

Loki is on the throne.

Loki. And Loki is now in his classic green suit.

With his helmet with the big horns.

Yeah.

And they realize that they need a bow they have. And they want and that Sif is gonna be talking because she's you know, she's this sensible woman. Like we ask that you end door's banishment. And Loki says something pretty sensible. He's like, My first command cannot be the undo.

My father's last command. And so he's like, I'm sorry, but Log but uh Thor is still in exile.

And Vorseh's like, well, can we still reconsider? And I look at it, we're done. Right. And so you know, we cut back to the town and Thor goes in this pet shop and it's like I need a horse And he's like, uh, we just have birds and dogs.

But I need a horse to show me the meaning of hasty.

All of a sudden, Shadow Facts shows up.

And it pulls out a dictionary.

H H H L H N H P Oh H A S. They they're So I actually like when he's like, well, give me one of those large enough to ride on. But this is when Jane's like, well, hey, hey, you still need that left. Now she's gonna help because they took all my research. Yep. And then they have this nice ride where they start connecting. And it becomes clear that they might, you know, if it's not careful, they might make it m meet emotional catharsis. They might.

They might.

But they don't they they don't go there. Right, and she's just saying, like, you know, throw looks at us, like, you think I'm strange? It's like, yeah, yeah, well, good or bad. It's like, well, I don't know yet. And Jane's like, okay. It's like Thor's like, I can give you the answers you're really looking for. Right? Like you stick a bridge. And she calls it the Einstein Rosenprint. She's like, oh no. It's more like a rainbow bridge.

More like a rainbow bridge.

Right? And now you know we you know we cut back to Asgard and now Loki is talking with his mother Frigga, played by Rivene Russo. Right?

And now that now he's. Yeah, he's not you know, um Thor I mean though Odin's not dead, right? But he's definitely in the coma. Yeah. They kinda have him in this like protective

Peace. Almost like a suspended a suspended animation kind of thing.

I just said suspend animation kind of pop. And the figure's like, no, your father kept the truth from you. So you would not feel different. Like you are our son. We're family. And you must not lose hope that your father returned to us. And And Loki's like, What hope is there for Thor? He's on Earth. He doesn't have his hammer. He doesn't have his powers. And then Briga, because she's the wise lady here. The woman in this movie the woman in these movies that this movie are really wise.

Yes.

The men do some stupid things. Yes. Darcy does some stupid things.

Yes.

But a lot of the other women in this movie are wise. Right. It's like there's always a purpose at everything your father does.

And Loki's left there stunned. It's like, uh, this might be more complicated than I thought.

So you know, I think at this point it's it's you know it's obvious that Loki's intention was to try to make some of this happen.

Yeah.

And that he has left he let the frost giants in. We don't know how. And then he was unaware that he actually was a frost giant himself. Yep. And that his intention for all this was really just to spoil his brother's big day. Yeah. He did not realize the entire ripples of his consequences. Nope. Just like Nedgery, just wanted to get paid because John Hammond did not spare no expense. Nope.

He only put one IT guy in the entire part.

And that one IT guy, he did not pay appropriately. And so he went to a rival company.

I guess he also had Sam Jackson. So there were two IT guys, but only one of'em was really in charge of the fences.

Yeah. And so Nedry thought, hey, I'm just gonna get what's owed to me. Yeah. And I I'm just gonna shut down the power briefly so I can get these embryos out of here.

And get paid.

Not don't realize I'm gonna get eaten by the Dilophosaurus. Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah. And then so they're they're out there now, but Jane and Dor, they're out there, and they're looking at this crash site or this creator site.

And Shield has moved in and they've created basically this lab. On top of this site. On top of this crater.

They got multiple buildings in there, they're all kind of connected with the classic kind of like lab tubes. Mm-hmm. You know, they got all these lights and there's a fenced perimeter.

And in the center of it is Mulner. Still sitting in in the middle of the crater. Nobody's been able to lift it. And so Thor decides he's gonna bust in there and get his hammer back.

Yep, it's like once I have I will return the items that they've stolen from your lab. And and then Jade's like, so you think you just go down there, grab our stuff and walk out? Like, no, I'm gonna fly out.

Once I get my hammer I'll be able to fly out. And so he Busts in there, he starts beating everybody up that gets in his way. Yeah.

And now

Mowing everybody down.

And we have a little security lab, they're seeing this happen and they're talking to other people and try to bring in the reinforcements. But he is just taking again, he is taking Everybody out.

And so then we get Colson, and he's aware of the situation. So he calls out, he says he wants a sniper and Up high on a perch. Someone with a rifle. And we see this guy. We see Jeremy running running over. Yep.

Where do we better come from?

He starts to reach for a rifle, but then he stops, and he reaches just above it and grabs a bow.

Yep. And you're thinking, Oh, we thought he was gonna go for some bomb diffusion kit.

Nope, nope, nope

This is not the hurt lock.

Nope.

And so, but then we get, you know, we cut we cut back to Jane, right? And she calls Eric and he goes goes to his voicemail and it's like, hey, uh, Eric, you know uh thing you told me not to do? Well, I kinda did it. Right. And now it started raining. Right. And Jeremy Renner, like, you know, he gets to his perch. Right. And he's got his he's got his view, he's got his eye. Fixed on where his target's gonna be.

Mm.

Mm-hmm. And he's like, hey, you gotta give me the signal. Like, the longer you wait, the more I root for this guy.

Yep.

Right. And Colson's like, wait. Right?'Cause now Thor has reached the center of the s no the tent.

Well he's about to reach the center and this big guard comes in.

That's right, yes.

And actually puts up a good fight against Thor.

Yes, someone actually puts up a good fight against someone.

But Thor ends up beating him, and he goes to down to the uh he sees the hammer and he goes down to it. And you know Jeremy Runner's sitting up staring in in the crane and he's he's asking he's like

Like

I'm waiting for your signal. And Colson's like, hold on, I want to see this. And Thor walks up and

I I kinda like how they play that a little bit.

Yeah.

Yeah, like they kind of put Colson in like a semi negative light, but then he realized like, yeah, he he does mean well in this and like So I like that how he can't contain himself. Like he needs to see if this can actually happen.

And it's pouring. It's pouring right now. Yeah. Muddy.

Total downpour.

Just fighting with this guy, rolling around in the mud.

His luscious lettuce is just Completely soaked and he's just flinging it.

Yep.

Yep.

He's flying.

Sudden all the men in the audience are getting a little tingle in their chest and like, Oh, that's a man craft Chris Hemsworth I have.

Little breeze comes in and hits his luscious locks and You know, blows his hair like Nick Cage and Conair. He walks up to that hammer and the music swells. And he triumphantly reaches down and grabs that hammer, grabs the handle of it. And pull it to pull. And nothing happens. Except he farts.

No, nothing happens on the

Nothing happens. Yeah, the hammer stays on the ground. So he repositions his grip and he pulls as hard as he can and he cannot lift this hammer.

You can't do it.

He's not worthy

Jeremy Renner's sad. Jane is sad.

And so The mission was to get his hammer, and now he can't even do that. He's not worthy of his own hammer.

It's not worthy of his hammer.

He's not one. And so he drops to his knees.

Yeah.

Yeah. And he lets Shield take him out.

And we don't really cut this father. We cut the helm down. Yeah. He's stairing he's still there on that rainbow bridge. He's holding his sword like the the Austro statue. Mm-hmm. Right. And we just kind of cut in on this pupil. And you can see he is just staring straight at the

Watching all this happen.

He's watching all this happen. And he's sad because Thor's his friend. He's not like to see his friend be at odds with his father, Odin. Yep. And he wants peace for this realm of Asgard.

Uh-huh.

And he realizes that until Thor can realize who he is, Asgard cannot know peace.

So Thor is taken in for questioning.

And meanwhile it uh thorough stayed in for questioning and it Cuts to Who Is that a bookstore or a library? One of the two. Yeah. And he finds this children's book about Norse mythology.

He almost just sees it accidentally. Like he's just kind of like thumbing through different things and he sees like, oh, hmm.

And so he takes that back to to Jane and Darcy.

Like, yeah, these are all myths.

And he's talking about this.

And Dart. The dark is like

Good. Yeah, he's like all of this is what you know Thor's talking about.

He's just a deranged guy that read all this and thinks it's real.

And Darcy's like uh where did you find all this? It's like in a children's book. And he's flipping through and there's a page with Muelnir and Darcy's like Mew Mew

Right? And then she's like, Well, you know, the ancient people like you know they they might just saw them and mistak mistook them for God. Mm-hmm.

At this point Jane is Jane is more or less convinced that Thor is who he says he is.

Yeah. And Eric's just like So he's still skeptical. He's like, well no, like everything oh no, all was fiction before it became science facts. Mm-hmm. And it's like, ah!

All right.

And he he doesn't he doesn't want to agree, but he's reluctantly kind of go along with all this.

So Right. Thor is being questioned. Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

And he's not telling'em what they want to know. They're they're not satisfied with his answers to their questions. Mm-hmm. And so Colson decides he's gonna take a break. So he leaves the room.

Nowhere low key shows up and he is in a nice jacket and

Scarf suit and

Yeah. Right. I don't get why he's got dressed like this. Well the skies off.

Well,'cause he's gotta be dressed like a human. Otherwise he's gonna draw too much attention to himself.

He can disguise himself under the human.

Yeah. But he so he starts talking to Thor and You know, Thor asked him if he can please come back. Back to Asgard, and Loki's like, I'm sorry, you you can't, you have to stay in exile. And the key Like, well can you speak with father and Loki? Father's dead. Your exile was too much for him. And he died.

And mother is still too grieved right now.

And then he leaves and Thor's just he's at a loss for all of us. And while Loki's leaving, he stops by.

Stops by the hammer and he reaches down and he grabs it and he tries to pick it up but it doesn't budge.

No.

Not worried. And he's like, ah shucks.

Ha ha. That's exactly what he was like. Mm-hmm.

So then he goes back to Asgard and when he's walking past Heimdahl He stops and he tells Heimdahl Do not let anyone through here. Without my say so.

Funny thing here though is that this is not the next scene, this is somewhere later in it, it's that we will get a scene where he goes back and visits the frost giants.

Yep.

And say, hey, I'll let you in and kill my father. Mm-hmm. Ne you know, and like, you know, you'll need to take Asgard or stuff Asgard, but you you'll have your revenge. No, you can get what you want and I'm not gonna stop you as you mess with the other realms.

I I will conceal you just like I concealed your buddies.

Well well okay before you take that deal, I do have door number door number two. You want to see what's behind door number two? Now you can get in and kill my my father, and then I'll allow you to destroy all the other realms, or you can take door number two.

Well, I mean...

Number two is even better. What what if door number two has a jet ski?

I could have a jet ski. I might have a jet ski. And he could just we'll just drive it through the bike for just drive it through the frost. The yoga high, right? Woohoo! He thinks he picks door number two, and it's just a year supply of potatoes. Wow. And it's like, what am I going to do with a year supply of potatoes?

Anyway, so that anyway, that scene does happen later, but We're back on Earth. And Eric is convinced he's convinced the government people in Colson. Like, hey, no, no, he's just a colleague of mine. You know, he got drunk last night. He didn't know what he was saying. Like, you know, we can we can let him go. Right?

So they leave him.

reluctantly agreed he McCalls is like w you got the tail. Right. Thorough. Donald Blake, by the way.

Yes, Donald Blake, which is the name of Jane's ex boyfriend, who was a doctor, an MD. Yes.

And there's a scene later in the movie, the a a after this where like he gives her he gives her she gives him a t shirt that still has a Hello my name.

Earlier in the movie. That was'cause he's wearing that T shirt. He'cause she took the name tag off of it.

That's right.

Yes you do. You do have that T shirt.

I I I actually had

You received it at San Diego Comic Con.

I went skydiving um about a year after that, two years after that. And I'm I'm waiting on the ground um while other groups are going through. And there's this one guy. He was probably in in his fifties at the time. He's coming down. And he faints. Right,'cause you know, this is all people that you know, well novice skydivers, right? So we got sky dive with a bro and He's attached to the guy. He's he clearly passed out somewhere from the plane to the ground.

Cover up the fake name tag on your shirt. Yeah, because you got that shirt from didn't you go to the Thor panel?

I went to the Thor Panel.

Yes. At Comic Con and They did. They handed him out.

Anyway, so

I would have been at that panel with you had I been able to go.

I went to the Thor panel at Comic Con.

But yeah, I had to miss that Comic Con for reasons I won't go into right now.

So Eric and Thor decide to go drinking together. Mm-hmm.

So they're at a bar and Eric is talking to Thor and he's like I don't know if you are who you say you are. I'm not sure. I'm still skeptical. You know, I'm not gonna say either way that you are or you aren't who you say you are. The only thing that I'm concerned about is Jane.

He cares about Jane.

And

So I need you to promise me. That I I I don't want any harm to come to her. So I need you to promise me that you will leave tonight and you will never see her again. And You know, he doesn't want anything to happen to Jane. You know, he understands where Eric's coming from with this. Throughout the movie, especially after the whole Muelnir incident in the crater, the You see that Thor is beginning to soften up a little bit from how he was at the beginning of the movie. Well

and one of the things

Not as arrogant. He's not as arrog you know.

In this scene, I really don't know who I am anymore. Right? It's like I I had everything wrong and all backwards, right? He's like, you know, he's like, yeah, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. And Eric's you know, and then Eric's saying And he says like, yeah, well, I was no colleagues with Jane's father. We taught at the same university together. Right?

Yeah, so he basically helped raise her.

And you know, finally it's like, you know I swear I mean her no harm. And that is good enough. For Eric. So all right, that's good. That case, I'll buy another round. You leave town to

Tonight.

Say two boiler makers.

Right.

They're boiling.

And then the next scene it cuts to Jane and Darcy and Thor is carrying Eric back to them. He's Eric is drunk off his ass.

Thor, he's still Thor. He he will he he knows how to drink. He did not get that taken away.

Yes. Stalin Skarsgard is fantastic in this scene.

And so they put good old drunk Stellan Skarsgard to bed, sleep it all. And then they decide they're gonna leave the trailer and this is Jane and Thor sitting in these little lawn chairs outside the trailer, looking up at the night sky, New Mexico with the stars. Right.

And Thor starts describing the nine realms. Yep. So he you know, has there's a pad of paper and he starts drawing you know, these

Because he wants to convince her, like she is still discouraged that she does not have any of the research. He was able to get one small notebook that she.

Yeah. So when yeah, we didn't mention that. When when uh Selvig was able to get Thor released from Shield, from the lab. As they were walking by one of the tables, Thor saw her notebook and he grabbed it. And so when he brought it back to her, he you know apologized that he couldn't get the rest of the thing. This is all I could grab on the way out and she's like, No, this is brilliant, this is this is all my research.

And it's like it's like and he just tells like you shouldn't give up. Like you you're on the right track. You're close to getting what you need. And he just says, like, yeah, no, what what you call um magic and science are really all

I come from a... From a place.

The ancestors called it magic. Our place

Yeah, I come from a place where they're one and the same. And then he starts telling her about Amazon.

explains the nine realms and Asgard and how his father Odin explained it to him.

And so he draws this picture of Yggdrasil, the world tree. Basically can it it contains all nine realms.

And he's like look at these images that came you know, that you that come from your what, your your Hubble telescope.

Telescope?

Telescope. Ha ha ha. But

Right. And so then they end their nice little, you know, conversation there, and we we cut back to Asgard. And now fan rolls like you know what I'm not gonna take I'm not taking kindly to that guy Loki on that throne.

Nope, we have gotta go and get Thor back. And Volstag, of course.

I like how SIF is SIF is still like, hey, wait. Let's think about it

Still trying to be reasonable.

Ha ha ha.

But the Warriors three are all for it.

And then Vandrel's like, well, you know, it's this is this is treason. Yeah, and then you know, just just remember this. and also you know it's you know what no it's it's also suicide Dor would do the same for us, wouldn't he? And then like, you know, like what what what if Helmdell's watching? And this guard comes in. And it's like

I don't know what demands your presence in whole stagger.

And then they get there and Tom's like, You would defy the commands of Mookie? Every oath you have taken as warriors and commit treason to bring Thor back?

And Step's like Yes. Yes. He's like, okay. Good. And he steps aside. He's like, good. Steps aside and listen through. He's like, but he's like, but he's like, I cannot, I cannot activate the Bifrost.

So I'm gonna go take a poop.

So yeah.

and just, you know...

Yeah, so he's like I I cannot activate the Bifrost, so I'm just gonna walk over here. And as he turns to walk away, he drops his sword. Because the sword is basically the key that operates the bifrost. Yes.

Ha ha

And so he just drops his sword on the on the rainbow bridge and walks away.

Ha ha ha.

And so they uh next thing you know. Bye Frost.

Interview readings.

They're like they're getting massive energy readings and you we see the the beam come down and then when it disappears, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three are standing on Earth. In New Mexico.

And then they start walking into town. And this scene is almost like Superman two, except they they mean

Yep. Very much so. But I love it. They're walking this there's this woman dressed in armor, there's a guy dressed like a samurai guy like a dwarf and another Gotta dress like a pirate. Like Robin Hood type. Like a swashbuckler. And They were just walking down the street. And there's these two snipers up on the roof, these two shield snipers. Up on the roof of one of the buildings.

They're trying to explain it to Colson.

Like i is there a renaissance fairy tale? Like I don't know, and calls them like what's going on? And like, well we have Xina Jackie Chan!

Ha ha ha. Yeah.

So And then we have a scene with the yet Eric, Darcy, and Jane and they're they're talking the little gas station lab that they have and

And Thor's there.

Yeah, that's it, Doris.

And they look over and Volstag is look trying to look in through the glass w door.

Sure.

So the door comes out and he greets his friends.

Everybody's happy.

And he's like, What are you doing here? I why why are you here? Like, we're here to bring you home. It's like, but I can't go home. Yeah, you shouldn't have come.

Ik verbede. Like the father lives.

And then Thor's like, oh Loki, you little rascal You lied to me.

Right. And then so Loki has discovered this betrayal. And so he goes down and he now communicates with destroyer. Mm-hmm. And now we got rec speaking with shield. And they're like, oh, we did discover the disturbance. So we cut to Colson and you get about six or seven shield vehicles. in middle of the desert. They said about fifteen miles like no southwest of town, something like that. And it's just again, the destroyer was just this massive suit of armor.

I don't think that's one of Starks.

I mean, he that guy never tells me anything.

I don't think it's what it starts with. That guy never tells me anything.

So the Shield agents, you know, go up and they're confronting it and then it just shoots these beams, this beam out out of its face, it takes its face and shoots a beam of fire at them.

And it just destroys all the vehicles. And it makes its way to town. as the SIP and the Warriors three and then the Thor and everybody else is discussing things. And then they s see it start to come into time.

So Lady

Doors like James.

Jump into action. Yeah, he tells Jane to leave. And yeah, Lady Sif and the Warriors three, go to face the destroyer. And they of course

It's like, oh Doris gonna fight with us. Like, no, I I can't.

I can't fight right.

I'm just a man.

Yeah, I can help get these.

People in safety, though.

So Thor and Jane and Eric and Darcy are trying to evacuate the town. Yep. They're trying to help load people up into trucks and so they can drive.

They don't wanna leave they don't wanna leave Thor alone though. Like it's like we're gonna stay. He's like, okay, well, we need time to call distractions, right? While we get everybody else out. And so the sip of the war say, all right, you have it.

Yep, so they go. To distract the destroyer.

Evacuate people, but the destroyer he is just the this it's just destroying buildings and cars in this town. Like this again, it's a small town and it's just getting decimated.

Yeah. And the Warriors three And Lady Sith, you know, they get taken down pretty quickly. didn't mean they are killed or anything, but they you know, get

I mean this this strong voice

They they get somewhat incapacitated pretty quickly. But this is a giant robot that shoots fire out of its face. So. That was built by the Asgardians. So

And then finally he's able, you know, they're all kind of retreated off. They've gotten and now Thor now is looking at them like, all right. Toro gets an idea finally. It's like get them step get away. And Thor steps, you know, he just goes out in the middle of the street. And everyone's like, What's what what's Thor doing?

He just walks out in the middle of the street. In slow motion, the The wind blowing his luscious locks again.

It just there it is. Reminiscent of Nicholas Cage once again.

And he walks right up to the destroyer and Right in front of him and he starts talking to it. He starts talking to him.

Whatever I did to you, whether however I wronged you. Whatever I've done that leads you to this. Right here, right?

I am sorry.

Sorry.

Truly. I am truly sorry.

But these people were innocent. Making their lives gains you nothing. To take mine. and end this.

And so

Yeah.

Nope, he is no longer concerned about his selfish ambition. And so it looks as though the destroyer it starts to turn around. Looks like it's gonna walk away.

See w we're seeing as he's talking about this like yeah. Back to Loki's face.

And look yeah, and and he's got this look on his face.

Like he's actually Yeah.

And so the destroyer starts to turn around and then it just swings its hand and just backhands Thor. Sends him flying across the town.

And Jane's like

And so Thor is laying on the ground.

So it just walks away. Yeah. He is done. Destroy or destroy the rest of the town.

He bitch slap Thor and walks away. And Thor's laying on the ground all bloody. You know, basically dying.

They see dying and Jane comes over because she has felt something towards him.

Yes.

And he just looks in the eyes like it's

Over. It's over. You're safe.

And Selvig sees what Thor's just done for Jane.

And he's moved. My name is... Yes. But we cut back to this tent with these agents. And these energy levels all of a sudden just start. Spiking, it's going up and down and right and But everyone's so they're so sad. that Thor has died. He's been with them not even you know, barely twenty four hours. Maybe thirty-six hours. And they felt this connection then. Yep. And we can't cut we got back though again to the the shield tent and they're getting these huge readings.

Yep.

From that.

Coming from the hammer. And then we cut back and then we'll see.

Anthony Hopkins. Well we forgot. So when this happens after Thor gets hit by the destroyer, we cut to

Oh yeah.

Odin, Nathan Hopkins.

And this tear in his bed, like s in his coma, and this tear this single tear falls from his eye. Yes.

But so after we after so as you're starting to see the spiking we cut back to Odin, back to that scene where he's whispering in to Like whoever holds his hand.

Sure. Yeah.

And all of a sudden we cut to the rock. That crater.

Mm-hmm, yeah, yeah.

Let's join us. Okay.

Shoot straight up into the air.

Yeah.

Like a rock. Shoot straight up in the air.

It makes a beelive.

And you see it breaks the sound barrier. And it flies straight into Thor's outstretched hand. Yep. And as soon as it hits his hand, this bolt of lightning shoots down from the sky.

He's got us Kate.

Thor has a

He's still just got his luscious locks and lettuce is flowing in the window.

And he's not all bloody anymore. He died.

to the hero's death.

Yeah.

The hero's journey. The hero has to die and rise again.

Like a phoenix. And so he walks right up to that destroyer and he calls out to Loki. And The destroyer stops and turns. And it's about to blast him. You know, it it it takes its face off.

This exact thought during the movie like we even get this talk about the story getting its face taken.

So it's it you see the fire welling up inside it. It's about to blast him with his his face flame. And His face beamed. And uh Thor just throws his hammer. Throws Mule near. And it goes right into that faceless

Yep.

Destroyer. Knocks it off its feet.

And so he's one door is one, and he gets back down, he walks the streets, and Natalie Portman's like.

It's like, whoa. Is this how you always dress?

That's how you always look.

Look more or less.

A hammer in your pocket? You just happy to see me.

That's boo. Yeah, he's like is this she's like, is this how you always look? And he's like, more or less. And she's like, it's a good look.

So

I must have words with my brother.

But then before it does that, I was like, excuse me, Donald. I don't think you've been completely honest with me.

Yeah.

I don't know the response. Like know this son of call.

Uh-huh.

Yeah.

Right now, we are allies. You have my pr you are under my protection. On one condition. You give Jane her stuff back. And he's like, Oh of course she can have her equipment back.

He's gonna need it for her research. Ha ha ha.

And so Thor and Jane and Eric and Darcy and Lady Sif and the Warriors three. They go to the Bifrost Bifrost site where Lady Sif and the Warriors III had come in before. And you know, anytime that the Biofrost Anytime that the bifrost uh comes in, then it leaves these Nordic sigils. This like Nordic pattern. And uh so Yeah, Thor goes and stands in the middle of that, and he calls for Heimdahl.

But Heimdall's not answering. Loki froze Hamdel.

Yeah. He came'cause he learned that Hamdal had let the Lady Sif and the Warriors three through through. And so he froze he used that casket. To freeze. I'm Doll.'Cause he so Loki. He had a he had a plan. Right. He you we we mentioned earlier that he went to meet with Loffy and the Frost Giants. So he was going to conceal them. So that they can get past time doll and get the casket back. And so when they did that, Loki double crossed them. Mm-hmm. And when Laffey, when he had Laffey on the ground

Before Loffy can kill Odin.

Mm-hmm. So then Yeah, before Laffey can kill Odin, that's right, because Laffey went into

Is right.

Chamber. Yeah.

The chamber, yes.

And so then Loki went he he he took the casket and he Used it to freeze Heimdall. So that Loki could use the Bifrost to destroy Jodenheim because the Bifrost is so powerful that if you leave it on You know, it's fine for, you know, quick, you know, beaming people to different realms.

Yeah it's

But if you leave it turned on on a particular realm.

I mean that that's gotta be a massive level of energy.

It acts like the Death Star. And it will eventually tear that realm apart. We'll tear that planet apart. So he uses the the Bifrost to he fires it at at Jodenheim and he just leaves it on. And so we get you know frost giant giants running trying to trying to get out of the way while things are crumbling. All these mountains are crumbling. Oh wait, there's that No, that doesn't happen just yet.'Cause yeah, this is yeah,'cause One hand all is frozen, yeah.'Cause time's all frozen.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah.

He's able to like he bursts himself out of his frozen state.

Because he can hear Thor calling for him and

Yeah.

Meanwhile, uh before they go, then Thor tells Jane that he will return. But he will be back.

I will be back for you.

Yeah, so they so they get beam back to to Asgard and they go straight for Loki.

Yeah they go. Yep. And this is like right after Loki is Lokius um killed um Loppy, right?

Or is this so or are they fighting yeah, they're fighting frost giants. Yes. They gotta get through the frost giant giants before they get to Loki. And

But it they they get through the some of the frost giants. And reconnect with Loki. Well the store reconnects with Loki.

reconnects with Loki back on the rainbow road.

I thought they were able to do it back in in Odin's room. Because Frigga's there.

Yes, yes, you're right.

Yeah. He sent a destroyer to kill me and my friends. I'm gonna tell their mothers too.

You just pissed off five mothers.

They're gonna get a spanking. Loki's gonna get a spankin'. And yeah, so they uh so um

And that's when Loki's like, Well, you know, it's good to have you back, but I gotta go uh I gotta

Take care. So Loki goes back to the Bifrost and he sets it to destroy Jodenheim. So this is when we get all the Yeah.

Yeah, and then Thor and Loki get back at the Rainbow Bridge talking about this. Like Thor like Thor's like, What'd it be done, brother? It's like I'm just trying to prove that I'm a worthy son. Mm-hmm. When he wakes, I will have saved his life and destroyed the

Destroy his enemies.

His enemies, something that you never could do, and he's gonna be like, I'm Loki's my favorite son now.

And Thor was like, you can't commit genocide. Look, he's like, what's he do? Why do you love the frost giant? You could have killed all of them with your bare hands. Thor was like, I've changed. It's like, oh that woman. Yeah.

I'm not gonna fight you, brother. Look who's like I'm not your brother, never was

What are you talking about?I'm adopted

Throw it like I do. Ha ha ha.

So He he get so Thor's trying to go and stop the Bifrost, right?

And Loki is not having it.

No, Loki's not having it, so he's trying to get in Thor's way and Thor knocks him to the ground.

I love this. I love this.

He just very gently lays his hammer on Loki's chest.

And Loki's like, he's trying. He can he could lift his head. Yeah that's it.

But he can't get up, he can't lift the hammer, he can't move it off of himself because he's not worth it.

He can move his arms. He can move his arms.

He's

He's like a turtle that's been turned over on its shelf.

Yes, exactly. So

He's

Thor just leaps the hammer on Loki's chest and makes his way back over the biofrost. But because it's been on for so long, all this energy is surrounding it like a force field. And he can't get through it. No he can't get through it to stop it.

He realizes he really only has one option here. Yeah.

So he turns around, walks back over to Logie, picks up his hammer. And then he just starts beating the ground with it, beating the rainbow road with it.

And then he stops. He's like, um sorry.

Jane's like I'm sorry, Jane. And he hits it one more time. And The Rainbow Bridge shatters. Right there. The Bifrost goes falling into The nether world of the of space.

Uh Asgard in space, yeah.

Because the Biafrost is their only connection to the other realms. So without the Biafrost, he can't go back to Earth and see he can't go back to Midyard. So the explosion that happens sends Thor and Loki flying. They goes tumbling.

Off the reverb.

The side of the rainbow bridge. And Loki has Thor's er sorry uh Loki has has Odin's scepter. And so Thor grabs that. And so he's holding on to a lot of key.

with the scepter one he's holding on the bridge with one hand, the scepter with the other.

Well no he's so Thor he starts To fall over two. So he's going headfirst. Yes. Loki is holding on to one end of the scepter. Thor Thor's holding on to the other end. And as Thor goes tumbling over the side, we see Odin. He's awake now, and he shows up and he grabs Thor's ankle. And he's standing over.

Right, right.

He's holding Thor's ankle. And he's trying to pull his sons up.

He's trying to save both of them.

And he's and so th Loki is like, Father, I tried. I try to do what you couldn't I tried to to destroy. And Odin is like, that's not what I wanted. That's not what I wanted. I was trying to find peace with them.

And then Loki realizes that he's never gonna be the son that his father hoped he would be.

'Cause he doesn't want peace, he just wants to pool, manipulate, mm-hmm, and cause pain.

So Loki lets go of the scepter.

And Thor's like no. وووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووو

Loki drifts off into space. He falls.

It passes Allison Duty. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

And the grail.

There's probably a few of the people from Typal Doom that go flying off the carts. Is there anything else? Because that's that's deep in the world too.

Yep, yep, yep. So

Угу. I'm all wrong. He's got you.

Yeah. That were dancing on his corpse. So then we're back to the throne room. In Asgard. Odin is not passing the crown onto Thor. He is continuing to be king.

Yep. Wise choice for right now for right now.

He is commending his son. for changing his ways And You know, bringing it to the floor. You know, defeating the frost giants. who were coming to kill him.

It's almost like it was just his plan the entire long entire point. Like he was never actually the crowd on him earlier in the movie. No, he knew Loki was gonna do some dumb shit.

Getting rid of his douchebaggery.

Yeah, he was a good son earlier. He met well, but he was hot headed and a bit of a dish bag. Yeah. He learned his lesson. Yeah.

Um so d during the celebration, you know, then then we cut to So after the celebration, then Thor goes out to talk to Heimdall. And Heimdall's just standing at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge. The broken edge. You know, because you can't go to the Biafrost because the Biofrost isn't there anymore.

They don't let the byfrost anymore.

Yeah.

That's it.

Thor goes in, he's talking to Heimdall and He's like, Can you see her? And he says, Yes. Uh She searches for you. And then it cuts to Jane and uh Jane and Selvig and Darcy. You know, and they're sc they're scurrying around. You know, trying to find these readings to to try to locate Asgard, to try to find Thor.

And so as Thor and uh Heimdahl are standing at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge You know, Hamdol's telling her that that you're telling Thor that uh Jane is searching for him and that someday You know they're not going to be able to do Hope to be together again.

And then the credits. Credits start to roll.

Yeah, as Jane's

As Jane smiles. Seems like she's made it.

In the next step in the the progress and in the credits roll. Yep. And you get typical swelling Marvel music that would be kinda you know. Very similar to what kind of would become common for model credits.

Right? Yep.

But then you know we you know we uh we only have a mid credits.

No, we do not have a mid credit sequence. This was still the early stages of the MCU where there were any mid credit.

So

Well yeah the post credit scene.

We cut to this big ba this basement, deep basement, deep, deep, deep down.

And we see Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Fury.

Nick Fury is showing up. We have waited this long to utter the name Samuel L. Jackson.

And he's talking. And we see that the person he's talking to is Eric Selvin.

And it's like we have this thing.

We need you to give us answers. We need you to study it and give us some answers. And Then we look it it shows he he's standing next to some glass. And we see in the glass a reflection.

And so well Eric's like, Oh well that that that sounds good. And then we see the reflection and we see

Loki, and he's saying the same words that Selvig is saying before Selvik says them.

And we cut to black.

Mm-hmm.

It comes up Thor will return in the Avengers.

And that is Fun movie, shake very Shakespearean a lot of ways, as we talked about.

Very fun, very I I don't know why I keep forgetting how much I actually like this movie.

This is a very easy one to come back to because it is a lot of fun and it's good. It's good. Yeah. It's not long. It's breezy. It does what it wants. It does what it sets out to do. It's always enjoyable. Yeah. It is a very good. It is a solid summer aside from being part of the MCU. This is a solid fun summer blockbuster movie.

Yes, yes it is.

You don't need to be connected in with the entire thing. If you just watch it by yourself, and like with the intention like I don't need to see, I'm not interested in the rest of the MCU. I'm just gonna sit down and watch this movie.

It's an excellent standalone movie.

would s would watch it yeah, it would stand alone just fine. And yeah, and again, it made a star out of Chris Hemsworth. Thomas Holston, right? Mm-hmm. You know, it's part of Natalie Portman's career and selling Scarless Grove's career. Kind of a nice end-of-the-career movie for Anthony Hopkins. Kinda brought Renee Russo back or something?

Yep.

There's been a lot to commend to this movie. And so yeah. That's what you think about for a good summer movie. It's not a perfect summer it's not a perfect movie. But it's a fun summer movie.

Yeah, it's extremely fun.

So I I yeah, I enjoy coming back to it whenever I do.
