S4 E9: A Moment to Breathe

Trix leads Rou and Eight to their hideout, a dilapidated building that they may be dwelling in less than legal circumstances. Upon entering the building, they remove their face mask and it is revealed that they’re an Adar-Kai. 

Rou and Eight reveal they’ve come to Baukora to find a group of children they’ve been searching for, and offer some details about their travels so far. As they do so, the pair reminisce about how their approaches to traveling and adventuring have changed since they started. Trix then shares a bit about some of their past jobs, though the specific details are left vague, including one particular story of their cargo being stolen and never recovered. 

Eight takes some time to heal Rou’s injuries as the conversation turns to whether or not the creatures Eight summons live in another realm or if they’re drawn from nothingness. As Rou drifts off to sleep, Eight and Trix share a cup of tea before the night’s rest is disrupted by a noise in the streets.
