JD Simo

JD is a stellar musician with deep roots in blues and psychedelic rock -- combining genres and styles to create a unique mixture which has been lauded by Rolling Stone and Guitar Player magazine, among others. He is a true road dog, playing 100s of gigs annually and has collaborated with the likes of Jack White, Luther Dickenson, Blackberry Smoke, and Phil Lesh and Friends. JD's latest album, Mind Control, is his Covid-era album and a striking one at that; a forced hiatus from road life enabled him to dig into his deep musical reserves to create a gorgeous album revealing for JD the healing powers of musical creation. A highly in-demand session player, JD has added his masterful playing on tons of albums, and even recently contributed to the movie soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann's upcoming Elvis biopic.
