Self-Control

Oftentimes the idea of self-control can contradict the way we want to live our lives because it goes against our primary goal of comfort. Pastor Tony Pyle asks if pleasure and comfort are the core values that we are called to pursue with our lives. Although it can feel like we're depriving ourselves of our desires, growing in self-control can move us toward a greater joy in God than any earthly comfort could provide.
