Here on Earth, appearances matter. Charades, facades and pretenses are commonplace –all meant to make things seem better than they really are. While these little acts of deception might help to maintain an image, they’re burdensome and they distract us from our true purpose. If our daily pursuit was to please God, rather than gain acceptance in social circles, how different might things be?
