At 27, Kristin made a decision that would change the course of her life. She launched her first tech company. With no knowledge of how to build a software platform or support network, Kristin relied on her passion, resourcefulness, and ability to learn what she needed to know. Over the next 6 years Kristin poured everything into the success of her company. She raised $2.5M in venture funding and lead her company to an acquisition. On paper, she was a huge success. In reality, she found herself lost, de-valued and marginalized as a female founder, and questioning who she was without her company.
Kristin takes us through the journey to re-discovering who she had always been and separating her identity from her job. Today Kristin is the Founder of Tech AF, a company that’s fueling a movement to make the tech world more diverse by providing tools, resources, coaching to minority entrepreneurs.
