Episode description

Women in the workplace are facing a difficult reality. There are tremendous forces working against you. Too often the blame is placed on women to improve and get over their imposterism, there is backlash when you show up authentically, or women risk burning out due to unpaid labor responsibilities.

This might be our reality but it doesn't have to be our fate.

Today I'm joined by Dr. Kimberly DeSimone, an expert on gender equality in the workplace. Kimberly shares her story and shares powerful insights and research to empower professional women to tackle the inequalities they face in the professional workplace.

She holds a Masters in Organizational Psychology and a PhD in Leadership in Policy. She is a tenured professor at St. Bonaventure University where she serves as the the  Co-chair of the University President's Commission on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Director of the Masters in Leadership Program. Kimberly is the host for Advancing Women podcast, where ambitious women come together to challenge the status quo, advance in their careers, and up-level their lives. And she is an Executive Coach focused on helping ambitious individuals achieve results using her 4P Advancement Model.
