Episode description

On today's episode I sit down with Carmen Honacker to discuss her experience as woman in the male dominated tech world as a fraud and cybercrime leader. Carmen has worked for some of the largest tech brands including Yahoo!, Ebay, and Playstation just to name a few. Her passion for connection, building diverse and high performing teams, and her strong moral center made her a highly sought out leader in the fraud industry. Despite her tremendous success and contributions in fraud, she found herself in conflict with her values trying to navigate the politics and accept the use of casuistry to explain toxic behavior by male counterparts. She ultimately chose to honor her values and speak up but that choice would cost her nearly everything.

On today's episode we discuss:

  • Opting to "yes, I can figure that out" as kindling for career growth
  • Realizing a work environment is not as advertised
  • Questioning if she is cut out for corporate
  • The power of building strong relationships
  • And so much more

Enjoy!

Carmen Honacker is a passionate fraud and cybercrime fighter, people leader, DEI champion and brand protector. She is an International Fraud Consultant with RISK IDENT. She is also an active member of the Merchant Risk Council
