Episode description

Kamini recently spoke to a client that thought it was selfish to practice self-care. Kamini wants to take a step back and recognize that self-care is so much greater than that. Self-care can mean just taking a conscious pause in your day to practice gratefulness, and to stop yourself from ‘running on autopilot’.

What does self-care look like? It can show up in different forms, and it doesn’t have to be big things either. Some people might feel selfish taking a full day off to go to the spa, but self-care can basically just look like taking a 15-minute walk in the middle of your day to reward your body. It can mean just doing a quick 5-minute check-in with yourself to see how you’re feeling.

The purpose of self-care and the purpose of self-compassion is to show up for yourself and take care of yourself so that you can take care of your loved ones in a much more effective way!
