The parable of the Great Banquet was a story Jesus told in order to communicate a central truth to the reality of His Kingdom; that the invitation to His Kingdom is not just for those one would expect, the religious and influential, but for everyone across the earth. What's more, He has called His servants, those who have accepted the invitation, to go out and invite others and announce the good news that all are welcome.
