DJ Shissla RIPEcast Fire In The Hole

On this weeks episode of the RIPEcast we are bringing you a rare treat from Space Cowboys veteran and legend DJ Shissla. Here are a few words from Shissla about this mix: “Happy 4th of July! About this mix and the associated image… when Brad asked me to do a mix for the 4th of July, I was deeply honored. The 4th of July is a special holiday in my family, as we have served in the Civil War (Union), WW I, WW II, Korea, and Afghanistan. My Pop in particular did underwater bomb disposal in the Solomon Islands back when divers wore those big ass copper helmets. The image associated with this mix is an original art piece by William Immer titled Elaine. It’s the Arthurian legend of a woman who fell tragically in love with Lancelot and died of heartache when her love was unrequited. The artist added the bomb gear hoping for a happier ending. Unlike Elaine, this mix is about happy endings (get your minds out of the gutter) on a special holiday. It’s a 2 hour payload of tasty house and breaks bombs safely diffused for your enjoyment.
