The invitation to abide in Christ is an invitation for a life that is “out of this world.” There’s joy and peace that the world can’t give – and there is also persecution for not being of this world. If you abide in Christ – if you are lovingly, affectionately, securely attached to the Son of God – you will experience His joy and His peace, and, you will experience the hatred of the world.
