Pouch resets have long been touted as an internet solution to obtaining the restriction that you once had immediately after bariatric surgery. It is a diet that often follows the post-operative diet of fluid --> puree --> soft foods then solid foods.

Some people find that it helps them get 'back on track' however for the most part, it tends to slip you back into the diet mentality, increases the risk of weight regain and reduces your confidence in picking foods that support your body.

Today I go through what the pouch reset is, why I don't believe it is a helpful way to 'get back on track' and five aspects to consider to improve your health and lifestyle without a 'fad' diet.
