Episode description

Did I Use Reason to Discover That Christianity Grounds Reason Itself?

A critic recently asked.

In this episode Eli answers the question and explains why the answer is both yes and no—and why that’s not a contradiction. From a presuppositional apologetics standpoint, reasoning doesn't happen in a vacuum. While reason is used, it should not be treated as autonomous or neutral. Instead, he reasons within the framework of the Christian worldview, which alone provides the necessary preconditions for logic, knowledge, and moral obligation.

This isn’t about finding God through neutral logic—it’s about recognizing that reason itself depends on the Triune God of Scripture.
