We discussed unique job search challenges facing STEM professionals – from those looking to make a big leap from academia to industry – to those looking to make a more minor pivot and who could take their skills into a few different directions. 

We also discussed challenges facing those underrepresented in STEM – including women and minority populations. 

 ABOUT KATE

 Kate is a former chemist and product development engineer who today is the owner of Scientech Resumes, a career consulting and marketing firm that works exclusively with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) professionals worldwide.

Her experiences working in the US and the Netherlands gave her a unique appreciation for the challenges of finding a job both in the US and abroad. 

Today STEM professionals seek her thanks to her industry background, her Master’s degree in applied chemistry, and her technical writing skills, all of which lend themselves well to working and conversing with technical professionals.
