Hi there. Welcome to the Research Culture Uncovered podcast, our weekly conversation exploring all the different aspects of research culture with a variety of co-hosting guest speakers. We're going to be uncovering the challenges, asking some of those nitty gritty questions, coming up with ideas and suggestions, and learning from all the great work that's already going. Now research culture is a huge topic that describes the environment in which research happens.
This includes the ways we collaborate, communicate, and interact with each other, but also the behaviors, expectations, attitudes and values that shape how research is developed, how it's conducted, and how it's disseminated. It also includes the mechanisms by which our work is recognized and reward. And on that note, let's not forget about all the people, the individuals in all variety of roles that we need to work together to enable conduct or even participate in research.
In our seasons, we're going to be covering career development, research leadership, open research, research impact, and uncovering some of those tricky issues that many of us are. This podcast focuses on our ideas, approaches, and learning to create a research culture that enables everyone to thrive. It doesn't matter whether you are undertaking, leading, funding, or benefiting from research.
This is the podcast to listen to if you want to explore what a positive research culture is and why it really matters.
