Caring for staff of the local church – Jeff Gokee

The local church cares for the community. But who helps the pastors and staff of the local church be the best they can be?

Jeff Gokee is the executive director of PHOENIX/ONE, an organization he helped form to unify the local church through care and connection. The goal is to help church staff and their spouses be healthier through a wide range of innovative services.

There’s the LOVEWELL app that tracks personal and organization health metrics. In just 90 seconds once a week, team members answer a brief anonymous questionnaire to track issues like personal burnout, average nightly sleep, connection with vision and mission and other factors to assess how the team is really doing. Then that data is used to create an Active Care Plan.

PHOENIX/ONE also provides mentoring and mental health professional references, and event support for conferences, team retreats, training and consulting.
