Getting Fed in the End Times

We expose false doctrine , reveal fulfilled prophecy and shine light on the demonic deception of these last days , but we also stand firm on the hope of Christ's return , the call to holiness and the urgency of true salvation . It's time to renew your mind , for the time is now . Let's go , boys .

Hey , welcome back to Renewed Mindsets , where we refuse to be conformed to this world and are transformed by the renewing of our minds through God's Word . I'm Rick and I'm so glad you're here . Today's episode is a sober warning and a clear call to wisdom .

Be careful who you allow to feed you , because what you feed on isn't just shaping your opinions , it's shaping your destiny . It's either making you stronger in Christ or weaker to the world . And in these days of confusion , deception , spiritual famine , the end times , you and I can't afford to eat anything but pure truth .

We're going to go deep today , because a casual mindset won't survive a time of shaking .

Now , just like the name of this episode says , be careful who you allow to feed you . Not everyone speaking into your life was sent by God . Some were sent by the enemy and some were sent by their own brokenness . Matthew 7.15 says Beware of false prophets who've come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves .

It's easy to spot a wolf when they snarl at you , but it's a lot harder when they smile at you . The real danger comes from voices that seem harmless or even helpful . People who mean well are still feeding you from their pride or their wounds or their rebellion . Some speak from pride , not wisdom . They'll tell you what sounds impressive , not what's true .

They'll tell you to chase your dreams , but they won't tell you to die to yourself . And prideful advice always ends in downfall Proverbs 16 , 18 . Now some speak from wounds not healing . They tell you to protect yourself so much that you never trust again . They'll teach you to live guarded , suspicious , defensive , and they call it wisdom .

But James 3.17 says true wisdom is pure , peace-loving gentle at all times . And others will speak from rebellion , not righteousness . They'll tell you you don't need the church , you don't need spiritual authority , you can do Christianity your way . They'll sell you a personalized religion with no accountability , basically the Americanized church .

But God's word is clear we're a body , not solo acts . 1 Corinthians , 12 , 12-27 . The wrong voices don't just distract you , they deform you . They shape you into something that looks less like Christ and more like culture and eventually , if you keep feeding on the wrong things , you won't even recognize the real thing when it shows up .

Now you don't stay neutral in this life . What you allow to feed you forms you . Galatians 5 and 9 says this false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough . One bad belief spreads into every corner of your life . If you don't catch it , it'll shape how you pray . It'll shape how you see yourself . It'll shape how you pray .

It'll shape how you see yourself . It'll shape how you react to correction . It'll even shape how you hear God's voice .

I've seen people start off passionate for Jesus , but they start listening to finger quote influencers who call sin a mistake and repentance legalism , and then , six months later , they're defending lifestyles that God clearly condemned , all in the name of love . It's a slow infection . You won't notice it at first .

It'll feel freeing , it'll feel mature , but it's really the yeast working its way through your soul . Yeah , hebrews 12 , 15 says Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God . Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you , corrupting many .

Wrong teaching doesn't just mess you up , it corrupts others through you . Your compromise is going to ripple out to everybody that you're connected to . This is why discernment isn't optional . It's life or death . The stakes are too high to be casual about who you listen to .

So how do you know when the wrong voices are shaping you ? I've got eight clear signs that you've been eating spiritual junk food . First , you start justifying sin instead of fleeing from it . You say things like God understands instead of God . Help me overcome the next one . You become defensive when corrected , even if the correction is biblical .

You crave emotions over scripture . You chase these powerful moments , but you neglect God's unchanging word . Four you prioritize being accepted over being obedient . Pleasing people feels more urgent than pleasing God . Fifth one you resist authority . You see pastors , leaders , parents as obstacles instead of protection . The next is you become casual about holiness .

Sin feels less serious . The next you grow skeptical of real spiritual power . Healings , miracles , deliverance Well , that all sounds extreme to you . And finally you stop growing in Christlikeness . And finally you stop growing in Christlikeness . You stay busy , but you stop becoming more holy , more loving , more patient , more faithful .

Hebrews 5.14 says Solid food is for those who are mature , who , through training , have the skills to recognize the difference between right and wrong People . Discernment is a skill you have to train for it . You can't afford to take every sermon , every YouTube clip , every piece of advice , every piece of advice at face value . You've got to test everything .

You got to hold it up to the light of scripture and if it doesn't match the word of God , throw it out , no matter how good it sounds .

Listen to me If you want to stay strong in these last days , you have to guard your spirit , like your life depends on it , because it does . Here's the battle plan Feed daily on the word of God . Not motivational quotes , not feel-good devotionals , even ones that might come from wisdom for the day every day .

Ones that might come from wisdom for the day every day . The word Daily bread , not Sunday snacks . Jeremiah 15 , 16 says when I discovered your words , I devoured them . They're my joy and my heart's delight . Two pray for discernment daily . Discernment isn't paranoia . Discernment is clarity . Discernment is the Holy Spirit whispering . That's not from me .

James 1.5 promises if you need wisdom , ask our generous God and he will give it to you . Next , this is a tough one for people Walk in humility . Pride makes you deaf to correction . Humility keeps your ears open to truth , even when it stings . Proverbs 11.2 says Pride leads to disgrace , but with humility comes wisdom . Next , stay planted among godly believers .

You lone wolf Christians are easy prey . We are a body , not scattered parts . Hebrews 10.25 says and let us not neglect our meeting together , as some people do , but encourage one another , especially now that the day of his return is drawing near . Yeah , that means a lot more today . Test every voice by the word .

Measure every sermon , every conversation , every opinion by scripture . Be a Berean . Acts 17 11 says they searched the scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth . If Paul himself welcomed being tested by the word , so should every preacher , every influencer , every friend ,

every friend . Every day , whether you realize it or not , you sit at a table . You feast on someone's words , you drink someone's spirit . The question is not am I being fed ? The question is by who ?

God prepares a table for his people full of strength , wisdom , holiness and truth , but the world prepares its own table too , full of pride , compromise , emotionalism , rebellion . You can't eat from both . You can't be fed by God and the world at the same time . 1 Corinthians 10.21 . You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too .

You cannot eat at the Lord's table and at the table of demons too . People , it's decision time . Whose table are you going to sit at ? Whose voice will shape you ? Whose truth will you build your life on ? Be careful who you allow to feed you , because what fills you will form you and what forms you will decide your eternity .
