One Another: Carry (Week 9)
To be the community Jesus intends, we come alongside one another and carry each other's burdens.
One Another: Bear With (Week 8)
Being in community with one another can be challenging. There are times when we feel hurt, neglected, or simply annoyed by each other. What God wants is for us to bear with one another by being patient and persevering through the shortcomings of the people weâre called to love.
One Another: Pray For (Week 7)
Frequently, our prayers include requests such as better health and job security. While those are good prayers, the example Paul set for the church was to pray for others to know God, feel his love, become like him, and be successful in carrying out his mission.
One Another: Forgive (Week 6)
We will see how to share the kind of compassion that Jesus first showed to us. We'll learn together how to let go of our complaints against others and forgive, just as God forgives us.
One Another: Admonish (Week 5)
In the community which Jesus built, the disciples were responsible for thoughtfully correcting one another. We will learn how to maintain health and peace in the church through tactful confrontation. We need one another to point out when we are going the wrong way.
One Another: Build Up (Week 4)
Like a structure built from stones, a church is built by the people who support its mission. When we join together and take responsibility for the spiritual development of others, we build one another up. We do this through encouragement, teaching, and caring for each other. This kind of building enables us to accomplish Godâs mission.
One Another: Serve (Week 3)
Jesus told his disciples that when we serve the least important, we actually serve God. Those who humble themselves the most will be regarded as the greatest. Jesus set us free, so that we can serve others with the gifts he has given us.
One Another: Welcome (Week 2)
When we learn what it means to welcome one another, we can gain a better understanding of God's grace for ourselves and for others in the kind of community that Jesus intends.
One Another: Intro (Week 1)
Jesus said that the world will know we are his followers by the way we love one another. We do this in practical ways when we welcome someone into our home, pray for a friend, or forgive someone who hurt us.
