Episode description

In the previous episode #351, Kim exposes one of Satan's most deceptive lies - that you can be "like" God. The truth is you will never BE God or like God.  All or most Christians today would admit that they are NOT God. Many would also confess that have NO desire to be like God.  SO YOU THINK!?

Well… THINK AGAIN.

Today's episode reviews eight (8) ways where WE try or act in a manner that is consistent with the desire to be like God. As you review the list below, consider which (if any) of these items pertain to you.

Eight (8) Ways We Have Tried To Be "Like" God

  1. We work hard to be righteous, moral, ethical. We try to "do the right thing"… righteous works.
  2. We pursue and desire hidden, forbidden knowledge. Think secret societies, alternative religions, the occult, meta-physics, yoga, etc.
  3. We seek to create like God, rather than making something out of what God has created. Think art, writing, music, science, engineering, medicine, pharmacology, biotechnology… to name a few examples of our God-like creations.
  4. We accumulate and consolidate power over nature, circumstances, and people.
  5. We try to preserve our lives. Think cryogenics, nano & biotechnology, transhumanism, etc.
  6. We become legalistic about submission to God. Think religion, marriage.
  7. We exult and preach faith over love.
  8. All ill-motivated forms for SELF (self-preservation, help, righteousness, taught, made, etc.) are efforts to be like God.

Consider these for yourself. If one or more apply to you, remember that you must be delivered from this internal desire to be like God. Repent and seek His forgiveness.

Stay with us to the end when Kim describes how three (3) scripture verses (taken out of context) encourage Christians in thinking they can be like God.

  • Genesis 1:26
  • Proverbs 23:7
  • 1 John 4:17
  •

Gen 2:15-17; 2:25; Gen 3:1-7; James 1:13-15; Matt 4; 1 Cor 4:7; Gal 5:6; Gal 2:20; Phil 9:8; Matt 24:21-22; Gen 1:26; Prov 23:7; 1 John 4:17
