Episode description

Horrors of the fishing industry

The Finishing industry is by far the epitome of everything wrong with the world when it comes to contamination of the oceans more than 50% of the waste in the ocean is fishing nets and other equipment, The worst of the worst comes to mind when we realize that the world as we know it is drastically changing and if industrial fishing does not stop today by the year 2048 all the fish in the oceans will be gone, bycatch meaning that when industrial fishing vessels try to focus on one particular species to catch but the methods they use end up catching a lot of other species as well which are then just tossed back into the ocean as dead fish is bycatch and is the reason for numerous fish species first becoming endangered and eventually going extinct.

There are a few hot spots around the world that are still holding on for dear life when it comes to natural habitat for numerous species of marine life, with industrial fishing enclosing on these parts of the ocean as well, it's only a matter of time till everything is lost, people talk about the amazon rain forest and how it is so essential to the earth well, more than 90% of the earth C02 is contained in the ocean-dwelling fauna, the ocean is the worlds largest carbon basin and without the ocean life it will be the worst geological catastrophe ever,

Trawling: it is when a huge net with heavy weights attached to the bottom of it is used to sweep the ocean floor for any and all fish the size of these nets can be big enough to sweep in entire buildings  or even numerous jumbo jets at the same time, The money: just like everything in this world it all revolves around the money, the people who are supposedly responsible for the safe to eat tags or ethically sourced tags on any and all fisheries products are in the pockets of these industrial fishery firms to begin with or even worse are a subsidiary company created by one of these firms to save face,
