The coup continues in Myanmar with even more suppression of democracy than ever before, we witness the darkest day in the coup on the 28th of February when police opened fire at numerous protestors across the nation killing at least 18 people in plain sight and wounding numerous others, deaths have been reported in cities like Yangon, dawei, mandalay as the anti-coup rallies rage on. 


The US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that the Biden administration is preparing for additional actions against those responsible for this violent crackdown on the people who are merely fighting for their rights, sparking speculation that the US might deploy overseas operations for the first time in a long time under the public limelight to help protestors by restoring their faith of international efforts to aid their movement. 


The united nations human rights office condemned the violence's against protestors stating it had credible info that at least 18 people had been killed on the 28th more than 30 being injured, further stating that the people of Myanmar have the right to assemble peacefully and demand restoration of democracy, use of lethal force against nonviolent protestors is never justified under international human right norms.Yangon the largest city saw at least 4 people being fatally shot while numerous others were injured by stun grenades and tear gas, protestors chanted if they push us , we'll rise, if they attack us we'll defend, we'll never kneel down to the military's boots. numerous eyewitness statements suggest that the police did not warn the protestors and started to open fire as soon as they converged.


In the city of dawei security forces moved to break up rallies with live rounds further killing 4 people.The UN also said that deaths had been reported in myeik, bago and pokokkuThe total number of arrests since the coup began is still unconfirmed but the assistance association for political prisoners monitoring group puts the figure at 850, but hundreds more have been detained this very week since the protests raged on.
