Episode description

Jonathan Pie is the stage name of hack comedian Tom Walker - whose shtick involves pretending to be angry, generally about feminism, anti-racism, or some other basically benevolent force - and his writing partner, right-wing extremist Andrew Doyle, a columnist for the Charles Koch Foundation-funded hub of reactionary contrarianism, Spiked Online. In this episode, we review Jonathan Pie's American Pie, his one-off special for the BBC, while his latest stand-up show (which also aired on the BBC) plays muted on the TV in front of us. Given Jonathan Pie's unwavering anti-no-platforming stance, we have elected to replace all Jonathan Pie material we would have featured to illustrate our points with equally apposite clips from the films of Clint Eastwood.
