The Way-Maker
Episode description
Title: The Way-Maker
Speaker: Rob Berreth
Scripture: Hebrews 10:1-23
Episode Overview:
Hebrews 10:1–23 draws a bold contrast between the old covenant system of sacrifices and the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ. While the law served as a shadow of what was to come, it could never fully cleanse or perfect the worshiper. But through Christ’s incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection, we are sanctified, forgiven, and granted full access to the presence of God. This message unpacks the richness of the Gospel — how it fulfills the law, removes every barrier, and invites us to draw near to God with confidence. Jesus is the true and better high priest, and because of His finished work, we are free to approach the throne of grace without fear or shame.
Key Highlights:
• The law as a shadow, not the substance
• Why no sacrifice — no matter how frequent or sincere — could remove sin
• Christ’s once-for-all offering that perfects and sanctifies believers
• The torn curtain and the invitation to draw near to God
• The assurance and confidence we have through Christ as our high priest
• A call to hold fast to our confession because He who promised is faithful
Call to Action:
Come boldly. Hebrews reminds us that we have continual, confident access to God because of Christ’s finished work. Don’t shrink back—draw near. Rest in His grace. Hold fast in hope.
