The Anointed King

Today is the third Sunday of Advent season, and our Old Testament reading comes from Isaiah 61. Advent is about the expectation of God’s coming kingdom. And Isaiah is an Old Testament prophet who gives us one of the most vivid visions of that  future reality in all of Scripture.
