Hey, fam, I'm Jada Pinkett Smith and this is the Red Tabletop podcast, all your favorite episodes from the Facebook Watch show in audio produced by Westbrook Audio and I Heart Radio. Please don't forget to rate and review on Apple Podcasts. Willow one on one with Ireland, How did you cope with your anxiety and your panic attacks? What would you say would be a good first step? Talk about if you don't have anyone, there's always someone, even

if it's on the internet. Acknowledging it out loud is stop number one to me, Like being like I think I have anxiety, that moment is huge. And also it's the littlest things that I changed in my life that helped me manage this, not drinking coffee anymore, eating right, and treating my body well because a lot of it had to do with what I was eating. But the one that's really hard for a lot of people is cutting bad people out of your life. And I'm naturally

an empathetic person. I want to help people, but it's a blessing and a curse. It's like I will do anything for the people I love to the point of it destroying me, and people around me were giving me anxiety. The people I dated up until who I'm dating now gave me horrible anxiety. Anything else I'd say, really learning how to breathe. I know that that sounds kind of silly, does not to me. I don't think I've ever breathed

properly up until like two years ago. Really learning how to breathe, like into your gut, into your entire body. Breath work is so huge. Breath work is like my medication, Like it really is something where I'll breathe, come out of it and be like, oh my god. I'm like, you know. But I think the most important one, though, is just dropping the expectation that people have. Everybody has their own version of that. Whatever expectations your teachers, your professors,

your boyfriend, girlfriend, whoever puts on you, drop it. Love that. To join the Red Table Talk family and become a part of the conversation, follow us at facebook dot com slash red table to Talk.
