Episode description

On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, host Dcn. Mike Beauvais welcomed Robert Mixa, the Word on Fire Institute's St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Fellow of Catholic Education. Robert talked with Dcn. Mike about the movements in the Church and modern life that gave rise to the Second Vatican Council, such as the liturgical movement and ressourcement, as well as modernism. They also had some engaging discussions about the proper way to interpret the four constitutions and use them to understand some of the other documents produced by the council. Starting on February 18, if you live in the Brazos Valley, don't miss out on your chance to read the documents of Vatican II by joining our RED-C book study of the four constitutions.
