Episode description

On May 23, 2018, host Judy Comeaux interviewed local Catholic musician Kyle Sinkule. Kyle is originally from West, TX and is currently located in Waco, where he is an avid listener of RED-C Catholic Radio, KYAR 98.3 FM. During the show, he talked about how he began writing music in high school and how he later led worship teams at his home parish in West. His songwriting and performing drew him into the orbit of Protestant musicians. This began an interest in Protestant worship styles that led him to be a musical director at a Baptist church in Waco and period of deep questioning about the liturgical forms of the Catholic Church and its evanglelistic posture. Hear Kyle explain how getting these questions answered (in part through Catholic radio) led him back to an invigorated practice of his Catholic Faith.  A common topic that was discussed was the effectiveness of praise and worship as a way to pray and to evangelize no matter how old a person is. Listeners had a chance to hear clips of tracks from his album Walk With Me. Find his music on Apple Music, Google Play, or Amazon and follow Kyle on his Instagram account @kylesofficial. Enjoy the show, like RED-C Catholic Radio on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter at @REDCRadio. And remember, when choosing between the values of heaven and the values of earth, always round up!
