Episode description
The Guantánamo Bay detention center is a 45-mile stretch of land the U.S. has leased from Cuba since the Spanish-American War. After 9/11, President Bush needed a place where Due Process, the courts, and lawyers couldn't reach 780 men and boys, many of whom were sold to the U.S. military for a $5,000 bounty. Who and what have we kept at Guantánamo Bay for the last 22 years? Terrorists? No. A legal blackhole? Yes.
