Chronic Pain To A Nine-And-A-Half-Hour Guinness World Record Plank: Dan Scali
Episode description
He broke the world record for the longest plank with a staggering nine hours, 30 minutes and one second, all while living with a chronic pain disorder.
Imagine having a lighter, held up to your arm constantly, with the flames licking your skin for days.
That’s the feeling that Daniel Scali experiences through his chronic regional pain syndrome (which he was diagnosed with after breaking his arm at 12 years old) and it's a disorder that he battles with daily.
It's also what drove him to break the Guinness World Record for longest time doing a plank.
On this week’s episode, we speak to Daniel about the realities of living with CRPS for the past 16 years, how he overcame it to break a world record and how he prepared for this huge achievement.
