Set in the fictional town of Woodsboro, California, Scream follows Sydney Prescott as she confronts a derranged killer in a Halloween costume determined to end her life.
This horror classic manages to poke fun at the genre as a whole with self referential dark humor while still maintaining a suspensful tone throughout.
