Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of the Black Effect Podcast Network and I Heart Radio. Welcome to another episode of Reasonably Shady. I am Jazelle Ryant. What's up? What's up? Everyone? This is Robin Dixon. I am so happy that you are here with us once. Okay, yes, okay, So before we get into our reasonably Shady moment of the week, UM, I have a little confession for you all. So last week, last Monday's episode, we talked about how our live show

was a huge success and we were so excited. Yeah, we pre recorded that show, so we really so the live show had not happened when we actually said it happened last week and we were so excited about it. But you know, we just knew that the by the time you would have heard that episode, it would have passed. So we can now officially talk about our live show and how amazing it was, everything that happened, everything we missed.

And I just want to say there, I was floored by the number of people who traveled from out of state in the town to come see us. I mean we had Ohio, we had Kentucky, we had Jersey, we Hadburg, Pittsburgh. I mean the people, many people from like North Carolina. Oh yeah, a lot of North Carolina. Like that blew me away. Yeah, we said yes, like it was amazing

on a Wednesday, on a Wednesday Wednesday. So that makes me feel like they don't have jobs, not the point, but like so it so made me feel like, Wow, they really love us. I know they love us. And the energy was amazing. Everyone was so happy, so excited. Um, we did a meet and greet, an hour and a

half of a meet and greet. When we met, everyone took pictures and and you know, got to meet people face to face and it was just like, to me, that was almost like my favorite part of the night because we really got to like be super up close and personal to our listeners, which is so awesome. My name is Ali, I'm from I came here just to see Romen and Giselle. They're the Green Eye Bandits and they're my favorite housewife hot teeny. But the show was

so fun, I know. Okay, So I had told some of my friends like cal and Erica about the show like four or five times, and they were they legitimately were like, we don't know what that was. And now that they've seen the videos. They're pissed that they that they missed it. I heard that a lot of people. I didn't really know what to expect from a live podcast show. What does that mean? We're we just going to be kind of chilling talking like were you do?

And you know, yes, we covered a lot of our normal segments, but the energy was just what was like so different? And then we had some more interactive um segments where the crowd could give us, you know, their responses or answers, they could ask us questions or even like when we were going over our reasonably shady moment of the of the week, like the crowd was giving us feedback on it, you know what I mean. So it was just so cool for us to like sit

there and be like, what do y'all think? Because Gazelle's um my reasons the shady moment? Yes about Grace? Oh yes, people were mad. People were mad that I actually paid these speeding tickets. They were like, no, they were hot. She had so Grace had four speeding tickets and Gazelle was like, I'm going to pay them and you know, just whatever, hopefully she'll be you know, our lesson. And they were like, no, she needs to pay them. They were like, okay, what can she can we pay to?

Like what? Yeah, it was it was really fun. That was actually interesting to me because I thought eybody was gonna like gonna be give cut us some slacks. She's a teenager. Yes, we had you know, special Ki, Yeah we do. We do need to give a little special shout out to our m v P Ashley Darby because we had a dance section of the show and we did all these like old school dance moves and Ashley came on stage and tore it down. Well some of them she tore down. Others she looked like um Elaine

from the Signfeld Show, like she looked insane. But we love Ashley as she's just like as she's a type of person. If she's your friend, she's down for whatever. And then we had one Antonio on stage. He was a trooper. He came up, he said, what's up to the people. We put him in a little hot scene, yes, yes, and he took it like a chance. My dad was in town, so he came through. So you know, I just all of that was amazing. However, there was a full soccer moment for me which I which I didn't

realize until last night. I was talking to my sister. My sister came to the show, and she told me and my sister don't kill on me. You know, my sister hates want to talk about her PubL But she stood outside. Now, this theater that we use had a marquee, and outside it was scrolling you know, tonight reasonably shady Giselle Bryant, Robin Dixon. So my sister says she saw it and she just stood there and started crying because for several reasons. Why, I'm a little sister and she's

proud of me. Number two, that street that we used in Silver Spring, So my elementary school was around the corner, my high school was around the corner. So I've walked up and down that street a million times. And she was like, Giselle, to think, you know when we were kids walking down this street that one day your name would be on the marquee. It's like the person who is going to be taking over for the night. She was like, I couldn't take it. I just started crying.

Oh super sweet. So you know, long story short, people, we are hitting the road. We will be coming to your city. Sell yes, and we definitely are like, Okay, we need to visit other cities. We've definitely heard our feedback because a lot of times, you know, people like I can't come, but can you come to New York? Can you come right Atlanta? Can you come to l A. So we're definitely putting the wheels in motions to make

that happen in the fall. Y, Yeah, in the fall, we we're going to be coming to a city near you. So just like, stay tuned, stay tuned, all right, So we gotta get down to the business. Reasonably shady. Moment of the week, Robin, what is yours? Okay? Mine is, unfortunately, um, a horrible moment of the week. And I just you know, want to pay my respects to my hair Stylus, Shirley's sister and brother in law, who were both tragically killed

in a car accident on Saturday night. Um. It has been the shocker of you know, our whole community, because um, surely my hair Styles has a huge family. I have been close with them for almost twenty years, and it's like, you know, she's not only my hair stylus, she's like family to me, and so her family is like family to me, and so I've spent a lot, a lot of time around their family, her sisters, she has, you know,

tons of sisters and brothers, UM. And just to hear that her sister and brother in law passed in a car accident has just been so devastating. And it's so cruel because they leave behind to UM young sons. So they have a son that's graduating high school UM pretty much this week from Damatha, and he's going to Hampton University in the fall. And they have another son that is going to be entering the ninth grade. UM. And the mom, Charlie was just so proud of her sons.

Like if you look on her Instagram page, that's all she ever talked about that they were her pride and joy. Um. They were really really really close family unit, taking you know, always taking lots of trips and having fun and so UM. I mean, it's still a huge shocker for us, and I hate that this happened, but UM, it's definitely rocked everyone's world, so what I mean, and rocked everyone's world on so many levels. Like you you obviously, UM, prayers

go out to the family. It's a reminder that sometimes things just don't make sense, Like this makes absolutely no sense, like so hard because you know, they're very spiritual family, you know, and they're just asking, like God, please tell us what is the reason. You know, what is why? And right now it's like there's nothing that any anyone can do to comfort them at all because you know, they lost you know, like I said, We've got sons that lost their parents. You've got you know, mother that

lost her her child. You have sisters and brothers that lost their sister, and nieces and nephews and so many people that are affected by this and friends. And Charlie and Kyle's house was always like the party house, so like they always had like you know, I mean they were always always always entertaining and it was always just people in and out, open door policy, you know, everyone was welcome. So it's it's a huge, huge loss for this family. And I just, um, you know, I I'm

really really sad about it. So that's you know, I'm sorry. I wish I had something lighter to talk about, but you know, well, um, someone started a Facebook fundraiser for boys, yes, which is fantastic, yes, And the goal you know, because he's going to college in the fall with someone who we know that the money is going to go to them, right, yes, yes, So I made sure. I was like, because when I

saw it, I was like, is this legit? And they said, yes, he's a family friend and communicated with him and so they're you know, they're fully aware of this fundraiser. So they had a goal of like forty dollars and actually it's probably past two. Yes, I think it's like around two fifty, right, Oh is it? I don't know. At last I looked like yesterday or it was like one eighties,

so it's probably let me see. But like, that's amazing because you know, the reality of it is, we still want the boys to go to get a great education. We still want to be able to you know, they should be able to have a life that their parents would have provided. Right, So everyone who has given like that is completely and utterly amazing. It's amazing. Okay, So they raised I'm looking at it. They've raised two d and two as of right now, and there's some other

ones going on that. So this is like for their college, their educational expenses, and then I know one of their cousins started one just for like their everyday expenses, you know, and then there's like a meal training. I mean there's but I mean that's that's two we can use that for like every day in college. Like that's a lot

of money. Yeah yeah, so that'll definitely be college and what but um, the youngest is going to private school in high school, so you know, so you have his you have his private school, and then you also have his his college or whatever. You know, so it's like you lost, you know, two incomes that would have been paying for college. And listen, tomorrow is not promised. You gotta hug everyone that you love and let them know that you love them, because tomorrow is not promised. It

is not. It's it's I mean, we hear this all the time, you know, and it's just but when it's like really close to you and it hits home and it's just like it's it's I almost feel like we think that like you hear things, but it's like not going to affect you, you know what I mean. But when it's like this close, it's just terrible. Yeah, alright, we're gonna switch gears a little bit. Guys. Yes, I hope you have a funny yes, well minus not funny minus just my child again is shady. So Grace just

recently went to her proms. I was so pretty and beautiful she was. She was so like she thought she was the bee's knees, and I mean we had to give it to her. She looked amazing. So we were those highlights. Real her highlights were this is funny. Actually her highlights were clippings. Okay, cow, my hairstyles came and did her hair. He put blonde clippings in her hair, and Grace thought the clippians was just gonna stay in forever. So like three days later, the clippings was still in there.

Mind you. They were like jack, they were all jacked up, like one was hanging low, one was hanging high. It was the mass and Grace take the damn things out. So she loved the clipping. Okay, So this is the shady parts. Two things. One y'all y'all people out here on these social media Okay, so everybody's like, why is grace is dress short? And it's a short dress, and my god, it looks like she's going up you know,

a homecoming? Is this is? I mean, it's supposed to be prim and Okay, her school and I normally don't address but y'all be saying in the social media world. Because I hate y'all, y'all negative people. I like. I like the nice people, right, Okay, So at her school, the Junior's graces, the junior they wear short dresses. Okay, they reserved the right for the seniors only to wear long dresses. Oh that's nice. Okay, So that's why her dress was short. So they so their promised together, their

promised together, prom little little private school. And so next year Grace will have on a long dress. Haters, haters, Okay, but that's actually not the Maybe you should have like put that just a little. No, it's not y'all's business, mind your business. Well it's not. But I can see where people would be confused. You know what I mean because I went I went to plenty of junior and senior problems, and I want a long dress every time. Okay,

Well this is so, this is paying respect to the seniors. Yes, I get that, Okay, I get that, But who but who's ever heard of that? Okay? I wish we had an audience in front of us and I can ask them how many people I've heard of wearing short to the junior Okay? This is actually the real part of Okay. So the boy gets there to put Grace out, and he has like this beautiful cossage for her wrist and he puts it on, and then I'm like hald on Grace,

where is like the boot near? Grace did not get him or mentioned to me that I needed to get like the flower for his and I didn't really think about it that much. I mean I didn't in the moment. It was fine, right because he didn't really care. But then I started seeing the pictures of like Grace's friends in their days, and all the boys had like a little flower on their little pal and my shady daughter did not make sure that we got that handled. Okay,

is it the shady daughter or the shady mom? Look, look I got a lot on my plate. Okay, she say nothing about the damp flower, so it's her fault. I mean nothing. Is that part has not changed since? Okay? Whatever? I mean? I think that was a mother? Are you going to put that on grade bro? Okay? Whatever? Were We're gonna make sure moving forward we have all said flowers purchase oa. Okay, first and foremost, unfortunately, we have

a sad moment. Okay, because I'm sick of people going to school, dropping off their kids and then the kids don't return on Okay, this latest situation in Texas, now I think the I think the total the count is twenty one people, so it's two teachers, teachers and the rest of kids. Like, first of all, this is what I don't like. The reports on the news are like gunman blah blah blah. No, this he was eighteen, This is a boy, This was a boy. So how does an eighteen year old have the ability to go out

and purchase all these guys? I know? And right here in Maryland if you if you're eighteen, you can't even buy bottle of liquor. You can't buy a beer, nothing, so nothing can cigarette until you're So I'm just feeling like, how do we fix this problem? I know, I know,

it's so you know, what's the worst part. When I heard about it, my heart dropped, But it wasn't the same reaction as when Sandy hook had right, because we're like disint attack, we're so yes, we're so like numb to it and used to it, and it's just like, oh my god, it's another shooting, and it's like I remember Sandy Hook like literally crawling, like crawling in my bed and just crying. We boo hooing this one. It's like, oh my god, this is horrible. But it's like it's

not stopping me in my track. No, it's not because we this is this is We're now up to like thirty people that have died via a gunman, a crazy mass shooting. Yes, and it's it's horrible. I was so angry that I'm have that reaction that I'm like, I'm pissed off used to this. Well, I'm pissed because why haven't we fixed this? I am sick and tired of it. We have to act and don't tell me we can't have an impact on this carnage. The idea that an eighteen year old kid can walk into a gun store

and buy two assault weapons, it's just wrong. What in God's name do you need to solve for except to kill someone? And then it's so embarrassing as the United States of America because when you look at like the statistics of how we compare to other countries, they don't do this. They don't do it. No, they might they might be a mass shooting, but it ain't Kids right, Well, there was one. I remember there was once. I can't

remember where it was. It was over in Europe and it was it was horrendous and it was elementary school kids. But it was like one you know what I mean, it was just like happened like one time. Like the mass shootings don't happen like this because people don't have access to guns like this. I think you can't. I think in this country, obviously we need to change the laws. But like I feel adamant, like you should not be able to get your hands on the gun until you're

like thirty. Yeah, I mean that's just the hard part, like how do you determine and then But it's it's not even the gun itself, it's the types of guns, Like how are you getting these types of guns rights? How? I know automatic weapons, these automatic weapons. The n r A clearly y'all gots y'all are the most powerful like organization out here because the fact that these laws have not changed and all these people are dead, it's absurd. It is they have so much blood on their hands. Yeah,

and I saw an old tweet. I think it was like the I guess he's the governor of Texas right now is an old tweet from where he like tweeted something like, oh um, it's reported that California has the most gun own owners in Texas is number two Texas. You need to do better. We need oh my god, yeah, like what what do you what do people need these guns for? Right right? I don't understand it, so like,

so what okay? And it's clearly the lawmakers that are holding this up, Like I can I just cannot believe that there that the n r A and the gun you know, the gun owners or whoever have so much power over our lawmakers. They can't cross party lines and just do something for the good of the country. Right, this is discussed. This is this is horrible. Definitely praying for the people of val Yeah you Valda. Yeah yeah, okay,

Definitely praying for them. The families. I cannot imagine. Cannot imagine you I'm not coming home from school because they were shot. I can't imagine. We have we have an announcement. We have an announcement. We have announcement. Yes, what is it. Well, we're excited that re Re had the baby. Okay, we are pumped over here. I'm kind of mad. I thought she was having a girl. Yeah, we didn't know what

she was having. She was she's been in some stores, spotted in some stories holding up girl clothes, and then I think that was to throw us home. Yeah, okay, So what do we think the name of the baby is? Because she has not announced it as of right now? Okay, So what's ASAP's real name? I don't know. Okay, it could be Resap or Anna? What do we think asa? Okay, okay, let's just make this prediction. Is the name going to be something uh normal and traditional or is it going

to be something that like we've never heard of? I think it's never like a north stormy apple. Yeah, I think it's someone else we've never heard of. You think so, yes, it's like red, I could see her. What about like diesel or something? I like diesel, but we've heard of diesel, we have. But it's still off, a little off the a little a little different. And will she give the right red? Will she give the baby her last name or his? Is the question because they're not married, and

rihanna cash flow is bigger than his. Not that it has to do a cash flow, they're not I know. I mean that's a good question for anyone that's having a baby and you're not married, right, Like, I think if one and I had Corey and Carter or Corey before we were married, like Corey's name would be Corey Bragg's name, yes, and one is like, oh, hell no, one would not let that go down. I don't know

what you're talking about. Well, I would be like hell no, no, and I would be like, we'll put it, let's get married. I don't know. I just feel like I'm the one that has to go to the school, you know, for the most part with the teachers, like I want them to connect me to my son and instantly. So Corey, I'm sure he's happy he's not named Corey Brad. I'm sure. I'm sure my last name growing up Now, I sent a m what do you call those things? A gift

basket theoretical to Scott Disick. Okay, so if y'all don't know who Scott Disick is, he is the baby. Yeah, he's the baby daddy to Courtney Kardashian, who just got married and Scott forever has thought he was gonna be the one that this woman. They were together forever. They have three kids together, and she said after you, okay, with a big stick. Because she married Travis Barker. Travis Barker and are over the moon over the hills. They I mean they are the p d A is on tent.

Oh my god, and it's beautiful. It's like she looks beautiful, the family looks beautiful. They're over in Italy living their best life. And Scott Disick is somewhere crying or punching the air. He's doing something. He definitely is or finding another little young girl because he started after they broke up. He started dating like really young girl yeah, like like twenty year olds like Lisa Rena's daughter and stuff. That was insane. Yeah, I just I really feel bad for him.

I mean I feel more bad for Scott than I'm happy for Courtney. Like I'm really a little bit, a little bit how he really feels, you know, how he really feels. I want to hear it from him. Okay, Scott, call us or Texas or do something, okay, because you know we understand you're going through right, no question, so hard. I'm sure it is. But Courtney is like smiling and living her best life. She is she is on cloud nine. Yes, I mean it's really cute to say it very much is.

And she's she has always been the girl that says she would never get married based off of the divorce of her mom and her dad. She said she would never get married. No, she would just never marry Scott. Right. Okay, there's this June tenth I screen at Walmart. Oh my god, that people have brought to my attention, but I really didn't like. Okay, okay, let's just start off by saying Walmart has ripped it off the shelves because it was convincive. But I didn't. I thought that they were trying to

give light to Juneteenth. The problem is it's the people who who are behind this product. They're white people. So Juneteenth clearly is a celebration you know in black history, right, um, and that is when the slaves were freed. Yes, yes, yes, and we really honestly, um never really publicly. I would

say it got more attention recently. Um, after like you know, the George Floyd what happened with George Floyd in the protests, and like the reckoning and the social justice reckoning that recently happened, And so all of a sudden everyone started talking about juneteent and celebrating Juneteenth, and now it's officially a holiday. Yes, it's official it yes, correct, it's an officialiday. So some of your white people ain't going to recognize it.

And we already know haters. I mean that's okay, because what I don't really recognize some holidays that we get off for, like what robin um, like Columbus Day, that type of stuff. Robin, you're off, you're not working. But that's the same thing. So no meaning they're going to be some companies that make you still work on Okay, yes, yes, yes, true, true, but so in this case, yeah, so Juneteenth, after you know, hundreds of years, is finally recognized as a as a

public holiday. Um so anyway, so the problem is that Walmart, the brand that is making this ice cream is like Walmart brand ice cream, and we all know who kind of owns Walmart, and it's white people, and they actually trademarked the term, so if you look up the trademark, it goes back to this white owner company. They trademarked stuffy. The Juneteenth ice cream features a message to sell a bright African American culture, but critics called it a tone

deaf effort to cash in on the federal holiday. Walmart is also selling party favors and clothing with June tenth branding. Walmart released a statement apologizing and says it's going to remove the items as appropriate right on this one. So it's like, so it's like you have to like dig deeper to see, you know, like who's behind this product. So it's like you're selling this product. And then it's like the flavor is like red velvet vanilla cheesecake or something,

and I was like, it's red velvet black thing. It might it might be. Okay, all of it is wrong, And I just want to say, right now, no one purchased any Juneteenth anything right unless they can somehow. Maybe The other thing they could have said is like all proceeds from this stream are going to a particular cause. How how much? How much of the proceeds? Right? We don't know. So now I say, now, don't don't participate. Now, okay, we got to talk about our girl. She she has

become our new hero. Who's that? So back when Joe Biden was running for office, it was a badass woman in Georgia and she was getting everybody under the sun to make sure that they went to the polls and voted. Okay, Georgia was key for Biden winning. So now this badass woman called Stacy Abrams has won the Democratic nomination for governor governor again, right again woman she wanted before? Yes, so this is the second time. You don't remember, that's right,

that's right, that's right. You know how fast time flies. I cannot believe that it's already come background. But you remember, it was a really, really, really tight race. It was a tight race between her and the current governor. But we're gonna we're gonna make sure that this time she wins the whole because I think it was some funny business that went for the reason why she didn't win, because it was super tight. So yes, definitely, I think, you know, people all over the country, we need to

be backing Stacy Abrams for ovenor in Georgia. My point is that I want more for Georgia. I believe in our greatness. I moved here the first time because my parents brought me. I came back the second time because this is where I want to live. And I think there's a phrase in the Black Church that I love. It's like charge it to my head and not my heart. My heart is in Georgia. She's smart, she's she's the woman for the job. I have have an Abram's shirt I was going to wear today but I forgot. But

I will be wearing it in support. Even though we don't live in Georgia. We're going to support yes. So we're starting now by supporting everybody's support Stacy Abrams. Stacy is in the in the general election whenever. What is that? Is that this November? I guess that would be in everybody's general elections the same day. Right, it's in, it's in November. But what's so crazy is this little prime?

This is this a primary? Okay? It came up so fast that I think I think I didn't notice it because we don't live in Georgia and we in right now, we don't have that right right, But what are there? So I'm just wanting, okay, what was it? Maybe they just have two year terms, because when they have four year terms here knows, I think everybody has four so I don't that just seems like yesterday and I think

it's running for governor. I think here you can only do two consecutive terms back to back and then you gotta go, so like Hogan has to go. Yeah. Yeah, but even though I kind of like Hogan a little bit, I do. Yeah, I'm not mad at Hope. I'm not mad at it either, because he's moderate. Yes, all right, So Time one hundred put out this year their covers for the most Influential People of two. Once again, Robin,

they forgot us once again? How dare they don't they know we were We are in double a CP Image Award and apparently they did not get the memo. How dare they don't they know we just had a live show and it was amazing. Don't they know we are influential out here in the streets. How do you go out? They hate us, they're hayting. So I saw that one of the people was in Dea. Okay, fine, I'll give it to you know, she came from, you know, the Disney world. She hasn't lived life long enough, That's what

I'm saying. She's a teeny bob. She has. She started on Disney when my kids, I remember they was watching her. She you have to at least be in your thirdies to be influenced. That is what I'm thinking. It's our time. It's our time. People listen, y'all, d M or send some messages over the time. One hundreds of me and round get on the cover. Okay, So I think Elon Musky. Okay, we'll give it to him. We have a boy, some sort of some boy. Um yeah, who is this boy? Orion?

He's an ambassador for I take it back, he's an ambassador for kindness. This is very important. His name is Orion Geen. He's eleven. Oh that's very sweet. Yes, okay. So we have this woman who I really like. I don't want to mess up her name. And y'all, Kalen, you like her. It would be nice if I knew how to really Emaul Clooney. I like her. She's doing she's doing things, and you know, from what I understand, she raises a lot of money, she's over a lot

of charities. She's all about um, you know, making the world a better place. But she locked that thing called George Clooney and they've been locked down for a minute. Yeah, she should get that award just for that, just for that, just could do that. I mean, so we ain't seen them since we have No, we haven't seen Clooney since he married that woman, and it's like he's fine with it.

He's over there happy as a as a lark. Okay, And we have a little Joe Biden, and of course I'm thinking, you know, Joe Biden clearly is very influential. So I don't know if those were part of the top one hundred, but they were part of who has been on the cover this year? And god damn it, next year, Robin not gonna be on the cover. So y'all, I get a not does anybody even buy magazines anymore? But they go online digital? Okay, we're gonna be on

the digital. We're gonna be Yeah, we'll take to digital. Yeah that's fine, I'll take that. Okay, all right, So we've got something important to talk about people, because you know, my kids are gonna be going to college soon, and that college bill is expensive, I mean super expensive. It's a good thing their father has a job. Okay, So it it bears the question, Yes, it's student loan debt worth it is it worth it to go to college? Spend? So Hampton University is like twenty seven I'm gonna thirty

thousand dollars a year. Um, So that means if you stayed there for four years, um, that would be a hundred twenty dollars if you become a super senior, which my father said he had. My father told me when I went to Hampton, you have four years of my money. What you do with that is on you, sweetie pie. So in other words, do not make this a five year program, um, and I did not. If you go to an ivy league, it's around who's got that kind

of money? Right. So if you decide, Okay, I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna have student loans pay for this, your asked is in debt. So you know I, Um, first of all, I want to shout out to my parents because I did not ever have any student debt, you know, student loan debt entire college education. And you know, I didn't really realize it until afterwards that that wasn't normal, that most of my friends had student loans, and that they are, you know, shoot, forty three today and they're

still paying their student loans. That's pathetic. Yes, like that's really bad. That's said that, that's that's kind of you know that you have to bear the burden of that forever. So yeah, the question is like, is it worth it, especially in today's age where I feel like entrepreneurship so

much more accessible and attainable. Um, then you have all the people you know making money off of YouTube and TikTok and Instagram, and so you know, some of these students are you know, probably thinking they can forego college because you know, I'm making thousands of dollars a week on Instagram, right. So I mean, but you know, if you look at statistics and research and reports and stuff, they say, um that the average person with a bachelor's degree will make pretty much twice as more then the

person without in life the in life. Yeah, so they say, Okay, So this is a Forbes dot com article and it says the media salary for workers with high school diplomas is thirty eight thousand seven, and they have an average employment rate of three point seven versus the median salary for people with bachelor's degrees sixty four thousand eight, and their unemployment unemployment rate is two point two on average, So that itself every year is almost you know, thirty

eight and sixty four. I mean that that's almost twice as much per year average median. But but then you have all this debt to pay, so it does it average out? Well, I'm thinking so if you think about okay, let's just say over the course of so if your debt is so, if you have a hundred and twenty dollars a debt, right, yeah, and then you gotta you gotta put that interest on it. They smack on it,

so you're probably gonna be paying back I don't know two. Okay, So let's say you're paying Let's say you're paying that over twenty years. Right, that's just costing you six thousand dollars a year. Just so it's calling you costing you six thousand, you know, plus the interest or whatever, six thousand dollars a year um. Where you're making you know, so if you're so, if you're in this median range, so instead of making thirty eight thousand, you're making sixty

four thousand. So in the in the end, yes, that's worth it. Let me tell you, let me tell you something robbing and these numbers and her how her math be math in it's amazing to me. She just whipped all that up in her head like the words and so yes, in in with with Robin's math, you're always up if you decide to get the college education, right, it'll, it'll, it'll level out, and then yeah you'll be fine. You Yeah,

you always be. If you decided to pay over twenty years and you're paying six thousand dollars per year towards your dollar college loan debt, then yes, you will steal me, be off, be better off than the person with the high school education like that in an average situation. Right, And and yes, there are other means of of income. You know, these influencers, these Instagram TikTok people and just entrepreneur ism write the word um, which is cool, but

for me personally, like college for me was more. I mean, obviously I got an education in education is power. However, the experience, experience was just everything. Yes, I agree, and I agree with and I feel like I can tell if a person went to college right now that I'm in I'm much older, I can tell the people that went to college and people that didn't like based on

their like yes, or their social how they socialized. Maybe, I mean I think, yes, I think the experience is everything, um, even if you go like some people who have only gone for one year to college. I have a good friend she went to Maryland. You know, we're all like, actually think she was a freshman when I was a sophomore. So she went to Maryland for one year, and she's still our really like, she's still part of our crew,

you know what I'm saying. So even though she didn't finish Maryland, that one year of relationships that she built is um you know, lasting the rest of her life. No, it matters, It matters. So the other thing to point out is, um, you know, a lot of jobs require college education, so that you know you're up against that. And then I also want to point out that a lot of jobs that people with at least a bachelor's degree can get will at least provide some sort of

health insurance aspect. So if you don't, if you're you know, if you have a high school diploma, you might be paying more for your health insurance because the type of job that you get doesn't cover your health insurance. So it's those types of things that you have to like add into it, you know. Okay, so get your everybody go to college. Long story short, Yeah that's my one. Okay, go ahead, Yeah, let me see. So then there's other this article talks about, you know, the drawbacks of of

you know why college isn't worth it? Of course, it's the student loan debt, and that says you can be in debt for ten to thirty years. But you know, like I said, if many more benefits, yeah, if you wear the benefits and then but so on. Another side to that is when we speak funding and people out here making choices in life, and you have before you make a choice, we're gonna recommend that you do the

math behind that choice. For instance, you live in d C, but your boyfriend lives in l A. Y'all gonna have to see each other? Who was paying for all these plane tickets? That costs money? Right? You decide you want to live a healthy life, well, whole foods is very expensive. But but but okay, whole foods is expensive. You want to live a healthy life, but you know it's more

expensive medical bills. True, true, So it's hard. It's like, okay, even with that whole Like, okay, at this long term relationship, my boyfriend's in l A, I'm in I'm in Maryland. Do I want to spend the money going back and forth? Well? What if that that turns out to y'all got married and your boyfriend has become like a high power agent and making you know, ten million dollars a year. Yes, that's what that's the good scenario. I'm saying, hays Off,

you really don't. It's hard. It's like it's really hard to say, oh is this worth it because you don't know. You don't. And I think there's people who have like different personalities. Like some people are like, you know what, I'm going for it, I'm taking the gamble. You know, you don't know until you try or whatever. And then there's other people that are like, I'm keeping my coins.

That's Robin. Robin is a coin keeper, Okay. And then it's like, okay, Robin, you have boys, you buy them one pair of air Force one that goes down that that then said, they didn't say I need a million pairs. Yeah, you gotta think about the choices that you make. It has you bought them some sketchers for the first pair of shoes, then you just be buying cheaper sketchers. That's true, right, If it's sketchers are new, valid, they be good. Yeah. No,

my that one. We definitely created some monsters with that. Yeah. And if I see Robin's kids all the time. And let me tell them them feed are fresh. Okay, they have a fresh pair on on all the time. Those feet grow too, yes. Other part it's like, damn, you get these you know, I think you're doing good and get them all these shoes for their birthday and then you know they wear them and dog him and then two weeks later they be like, oh my feet her

right because they don't fit because their feet grew. Yes, insane, insane, all right? So with with with y'all making these choices out in life. Do the math behind your choices, because you might do something else right or take a risk and see what happened. I mean, that wasn't really helpful. Oh my god. Them tickets across the country are expensive, y'all. I'm just going to tell you, but he might be a million name. He's going big places. Okay. Anyway, that
