Oh,
and we're gonna have some special guests there. And when I say special guests, okay, fine, my dad's coming. Um, is he really he's really coming? Yes, he's coming just for the show. No, he also wants to see his daughter and his grands But he was also like, he called me. He was like, you and Robin are doing something something right. They don't know what. Right. He was like, I'm gonna come and see you guys. And I was like, okay. Then he says, can you save me a ticket? What? Yeah, yeah,
of course, of course. You know what, I should tell my father to come so they can meet. Yes, that would be great, both of your parents should come. Yeah, I'm sure my mom would be already told her she's working. Oh, yeah, you're great, she's going to be working great. And so like I'm gonna be all up in the audience and in y'all space and stuff. So we're gonna have a good old time, absolutely, yes, okay, so reasonably shady moment of the week. What you got you all Right? So
y'all know, I got this trainer named Tyrone. Will's up thar Ron, who, by the way, has a crush on Robert. That's the Hometel story. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna embarrass you, Tyrone, but yeah, anyway, so but he embarrassed me. Okay, So a couple of weeks back, I was talking about a trainer at the gym called Timbo, right, and Timbo acted like I couldn't do a little jump ro class,
and he was and I talked about that whole story. Well, Timbo doesn't listen to this podcast, and actually that's why I was talking about it, because I knew he would never hear it. So what does Tyrone do. Tyrone sees tim in the gym and says, Timbo, did you hear what said on the podcast? She was talking about you on the podcast? And so Timbo was like, what what do you mean? What's the name of the podcast. So Tyrone, mind your business. Do not go around telling people what
I say on this freaking podcast. Okay, Tyrone, you're shady. That is hilarious. It's the worst, right because we think we can talk about anyone and everyone and nobody will hear us. But if you are in our living room, guys, right, but if you're in the inner circle, you can't be going to people and telling them that we're trashing them. Tyrone. Yes, Tyrone, know the rules of the roads, sir, and you cross the line, you're shady. Yeah, that's like like violating bro code. Yes,
you violated trainer women's a trainer trainee privilege. It's kind of like, yes, you violated time violated. I still love you though, but you violated Okay, what you got? That is funny? Okay, So you know I have, um, I'm putting some built in's in my office. Okay. By the way, guys, Robin's house looks fantastic. Okay, it's fabulous. She's done all these like different um decorations and all this interior design nonsense, which I love. And I just want to say this
and I'm telling your business. Okay. So her she painted all of her doors black and it's just like change the whole ambiance of the house. So I'm you know, I'm about to buy some blacks, right, Okay, it's going down. I'm about I'm about the black door it up. Okay, we'll do it in an open area though, because it will make your rooms dark. So like I know you have like, um, a hallway where your girl's rooms are, I wouldn't do it down there. Well there's no door there.
Oh down in that hallway where they're just like to their bedroom doors. Ok So just just be be careful where you paint the Yeah. But but yes, every time Dozelle and Carl come, they're like, oh that's different. Yes, So we're working through. We're working through. So I'm doing built in shelving cabinets in my office. So one day one was in the in our workout room, which is an unfinished part of our basement. Right, so we have
an unfinished room where we have our weight equipment. Fortunately he was in there at that time because the kids were upstairs getting ready for school, like brushing their teeth, us in the bathroom. He's in there, he's like, rap, rap, come here, and the water's leaking. There's like a pipe and it's just dripping, drip drip, drip, trip trip and I'm like, what, like, this is a new house, Like why are the pipes dripping for no reason? It wasn't
like a burst. So unfortunately he saw it because if he didn't, this thing would be going on for for months, right, So you know, we had to call the plumber and they literally had to kind of like open walls up, and they discovered that my guy who was doing my built in's shot a nail into a pipe. Oh he's fired, fire him now, but you know what, so he felt
really bad. The guy felt really bad, and I was telling him listening, like there's no way for you to know that that pipe was behind there, right, like, so you know, don't feel bad. At least we figured it out now versus like like imagine if one didn't see that drip, right, so my I mean I would have so much molde imagine. Unfortunately he's not finished with the built in yet, like he was just half like he's almost done, but like imagine if that went on for months,
like my whole horrible Yah. Yeah, so you know I'm the I'm the nice person. I was like, don't feel bad because he felt horrible, So like did he fix it? Did he? So he came over. He had to cut a panel off, like you know, he had like a wall up and everything. He had to cut that off. And then my plumbers actually came today and repaired the
hole in the pipe. But I mean that happens though, and it's kind of like it's a kind of a lesson, like when you are doing stuff in the house, like to make sure you know what's on the other side of the wall. But there would have been no way for us to really know that that pipe was where it was right right right. Yeah, So it's a good thing. Whine was downstairs, what work? Yeah, thank god he's athletes.
But it's like it just tells you it's like always something, you know, something you got a lot as if we don't have enough stuff to take care of and do in life, and then I gotta deal with a leaky pipe, right because and then get people coming back and delaying my project even more. So, Okay, when do you think you'll be done? So I got worried that might so what I'm so, there's a few things I'm waiting on the rest of my sofa, which I actually heard is like on the way, you know what I mean, Like,
so I'll be getting that soon. And then my curtains, my drapes, okay, yes, Florida ceiling, Florida ceiling. I believe my office. I think he should be able to finish hopefully just weekend and then after that it's like like, so that's all like the major things outstanding, and then and then my designer will come in and do like her accessorizing and finishing touches. So I'm hoping that sounds
like a good six months. No, it's so crazy because I think about back to the timelines that like we're given to me, Like my built ins in my office should have been done by February. It was like that will be finished by in February. Yeah, yeah, so whatever, Yeah, it's coming, it's coming together. Yes. Patience is a virtue. It is, it is, and you have to be patient,
whether you like it or not. Now everybody's gonna need to be patient with me and these airports because I know the mask man date is lifted, but does that will have on a mask, especially on the plane in there. Well you know what, though, I heard that the airport is the place that's a little more risky than the plane because the planes, the planes have a uh, intense filtration system that like filters the air out of head.
I don't know. People were explaining it that the man sitting next to me coughing, How is that I was filtered? That's immediately that's a good point. Yes, that's a good point. Yeah, And I don't like, like, you know what I mean.
I know the mass mandate has been lifted for a little bit, but like, I don't like when I see the videos of like people shaming people wearing masks, or like the flight attendants going around like take your mask off, take your mask off, Because honestly, I feel like that's we're protecting ourselves not only against COVID, but now we're protecting ourselves against the common cold and flu and all
that stuff. Like I have not been you know, I I'm you know, knock on wood, Like I don't really get very sick, but like, I don't remember the last time I had like a major cold. Right, there was a time back in the day where there was not a plane that I took that I didn't get off feeling like like yeah, so yeah, I'm going back to I'm staying with the masks. Yeah, and I'm gonna take it down to eat, drink my little wine and first class.
Then I'm putting it back on. Yeah, like no, I know, but I definitely other places I have not been wearing my mask. You haven't yours to the store and stuff. Oh, sometimes when I go to a grocery store, I'll put it on because because like, I look crazy and I just don't want to. I know that I did like that about the mask. It's like, it don't matter what you look like. Put this mask on and no one's going to ask any questions. Yes, yes, yes, okay, a
mask and a hat. They don't even know who you are, right, but somehow they figured out Wait a minute, wait a minute, my dad. Okay, so my dad's My dad thinks he's an international superstar. I just want you to know that. Now. He's been on the Real Housewives and Potomac four times and he thinks he's the international superstar. So he was in he was he was either at the he was at a funeral. He's sitting there at the funeral. And this lady was like, she was on her phone, right,
so she was I guess she was googling Google. And then she looks up and she was like, he was like gis oh. I saw her look down at her phone and then she looked up at me, and then she looked down and then she looked up and then she says to me, so are you Curtis And my father was like yeah, and she was like, I just want to make sure that was you. And he was baffled because he had on a mask and he was like, you know, how could you know that's going? And I'm like,
daddy or an international superstar, what do you? Of course they know what you You've been on the tomy four times. That is hilarious. He was kind of excited. That's so cute. I love that our parents get tickled by that stuff, like, I mean, it'll be funny. My mom would be like, yeah, I was out and so and so sim you know, somebody said they knew who I was. I was like, okay, congratulation. They have fame. My father is famous at a D three right, Yes you made it, Daddy. I do want
to talk about this. This this particular subject is it was out there a while ago, and so I'm bringing it back because we didn't talk about it. Okay, So d j Envy, you have to say his name like that right, d j envy, I think. So this is Charlemagne, the god in d j envy right wing. Everybody is d j Envy. I don't know. Okay. So he's married and to Gia and they have a book out um about relationships and all that. In the book she talks about faking orgasms right with her husband for ten years.
For ten years. For ten years, you decided to let this man think that he was satisfying you and he wasn't. That's insane to me. That is insane. So did you read like I feel like I need more backstory here? Like, so have they did they have a moment where they got it together? Or is she just kind of like I'm not even faking it's just not happening, Like what? Okay? So,
and I'm sorry, I have so many questions. Now he's okay with her saying this, Well, if I was saying I wouldn't be because that's embarrassing, Like you can't satisfy not your not your side piece or whatever. This is your wife, right, Okay? How are y'all even getting married and we don't have conversations and communication about what's going on in the bedroom, Like, dude, you suck right, like, and this is what you can do to make it better.
So that's problematic, yes, um yeah, like like I need answers to this because that's that is that is very interesting, like that she would put that out there, I think out there and feel the need to fake and not tell him and that he didn't realize she was faking. No, she she said she was faking because she wanted him to be happy. She wanted to write him to feel like he was doing something good. Girl, Bob, what are you talking about? You gotta let him know you have failed.
This is what we're gonna do to make it better. But I do know that there were some like infidel they in their relationship and then they work through it. And maybe with all of that, she was like, hey, you suck. I need to read this. See see that's what the like these little headlines afford and then like you know, because you want to know more. I need to know more. I need to know where are they
today today? They're fine? They have six kids, right, true, but some people don't orgasm all the time, which is okay, right, So why was she feeling need to fake because she wanted him to be happy? For ten years. How I couldn't do it for ten minutes, I could do it for ten days. What are you doing? But I do appreciate the fact that they're at least getting out there and talking about real issues in the marriages and relationships. They do have that book. I don't know what it's called.
Carl's gonna tell me, but jump out there and get the book. I mean, if they're talking about some embarrassing raw stuff like that, like what they they're probably talking about a lot of stuff. I mean, I want to call it embarrassing, but it is very That's that's a little bit. That's sortline emasculating a little bit. What's it all?
Real life, real love? That's that's a good title. Yes, And and by the way, DJ Envy went to Hampton, so I can never, like, you know, play my Hampton, my fellow grand because you know I went to Hampton. But it's not even let me just say this, Envy, don't let your wife say that again. Okay, just f y clearly is okay with it. Yeah, it's not funny, is he? I have a feeling there's like a happy ending somewhere. Well, yeah, she's obviously now like I don't
do that. Yeah, six years and they've been married for how long they've been married twenty years? Twenty years, that's a long time. And then ten years you were faking it, So them ten years in the in the in the front end don't count. Now did she say okay? Even though she was faking it was she not satisfied. She didn't know her own body. So it was really not her fault, his fault, his fault. Okay, that's what I thought.
That's what I thought. I didn't want to because I was saying a whole lot of things went through my mind, like he was working with two inches. It was a whole lot of what I'm saying. If they're still together, like and he's okay with her putting it out, it has to be like something else to it, you know what I'm saying. So that makes sense. Yeah, But there's a whole lot of wives, celebrity wives out here, that are just like telling just too much information, like the
Red Table talk. Does that need to go away, Jada because you've given up too much information about your your husband, I think? But hasn't she kind of stopped? Well, well, I'm interested. You know, you saw that announcement where they released like the trailer for the new season of Red Table Talk, but there was no mention of um like Will Smith and the slap. But then she posted something that said that they will be addressing it. Right, they're in India healing, right, you gotta go all the way
to India. Why can't you just healing badly? Because the people in India don't know about the slab. Oh, okay, because they don't have any TVs and don't have the old wife. She doesn't mean that, that's what. No, because they're in an okay, Okay, people in India have WiFi. But I believe that where they are the Smiths are in a a monk resort or something where there is clearly no WiFi and they don't. So they're not They don't they're not aware of the slab. Yes, but wait
a minute, I do appreciate Chris's mother. Oh yeah, you talk about that. Chris's mama said, how dare you? Yes, you slapped every single LA's one of us. Yes, that slap was just not on Christ's space, It was on my face. Who do you think you are? Will Smith? I D double dare you to do it again? Oh, I loved it. She was. It was that felt like old school mama for you, you know what I mean, Like she she had her son's back. I love that. Yes, and and and will. I'm just I'm here to tell you.
If you see Chris Rock's mama walking down the street, bro, you bet across that street because she coming for you. Okay, let's let's be clear. Oh we forgot to talk about Bravo Con. Oh yes, yes, okay, So maybe three years ago was the first Bravo Con, and Gazelle thought it was like a little convention for tounch of people like I literally did Bravo call was like sending your Bravo can.
I was like, okay, I clearly had no idea what was happening, but it was they shut New York down, Like Bravo had like five or six different locations going at the same time. Um, people are able to buy tickets and come and be up close and personal with all the Bravo liberties. So it was canceled because of the hand Except for me, I wasn't invited that source subject here we're gonna I was okay on my couch.
So so at the time, you know, you have to keep in mind Potomac is one of the newer Housewives shows, newer franchises, and sometimes Bravo forgets about us a little bit, and they only sent two of us as opposed to like the whole cast, which I didn't. Again, had I know when I was getting myself into I would have been like, no, we all need to be there because
all the other franchises were there. They had everybody there. Yes, So anyway, moving on, we're all going to be there this time, and it's October fourteen through the sixteenth in New York, so get your ticket. But like we it is it is Bravo on steroids and we want to see y'all. We want to be up close and personal and have a good old time. But all of our viewers, yes, did you mention? Like last they were supposed to do it last last year, but they canceled it because of COVID. Well,
so clearly has been canceled twice. Well yeah, COVID. Yeah, I guess it was canceled twice because of COVID. Yeah, but it's it's going down, okay, me robbing and Andy Cohen, Yeah, be excited. That'll be fun, super fun. Also, we also want to oh robbing. So okay, we're gonna talk about Mike Tyson because Mike Tyson somebody and I think that that's like against the law, like straight up, like I think to punch someone, I think him in like professional boxers.
It's like, oh, is it I think Floyd Northern? Yeah, I think so, I'm pretty sure. Okay, what happened? So apparently he was on a plane on a Jet Blue flight not Jet Blue, yes, going from like San Francisco to Florida, and the guy behind him was just like an annoying asshole and he was just you know, it started off him just you know, hey, Mike talking to him,
and he just wouldn't stop. And so at some point Mike turned around and punched him, and literally like everyone understood why, Like, I don't even think they press charges. The man didn't press charges because he was like I think the man was drunk. Come to find out, that man has a record and you know, had been arrested a few times, so he was just antagonizing him. I think it's only so much that people can take. But can you imagine getting punched my listen is your face? Okay? Right?
I mean he definitely had a scratch mark, you know, blood all his face, and he like he's one of those the guy that got punched. He's like one of those people that are excited that they got punched by Mike. Yeah, he's probably telling people like I got and I survived. It's Jeff Little like Southwest like there's no first class. It looked like there was a first Like the seats looked like bigger, like those Barold type seats. Okay, okay, yeah, Mike,
I'm with you on that one. So Mike type, anybody who's a professional boxer like so Floyd, Mike and all the rest of them busted Douglas. Their fists are considered lethal weapons and they, you know, it's a law saying that they can't hit people. But I wonder if since, like Mike has been retired for how long, does that still apply to him? I think so, I'm sure, do
you want to get hit by Mike? Well, he's hell no. What Just look if Chris Rock got hit by Mike Tyson would okay, listen, that would not be a slap, Okay, that would be a full punch and Chris would still be on the floor. But even if he gotta slapped by Mike Tyson. He'd be on the floor like that big old Paul. Not a Paul Paul, you got a big old Paul. But but I am curious, so I need to, like, I feel like I need to follow up on this story and see, like, is are the
police going to press charges? Because the man was not? Probably not? Probably not, And and there's probably so many witnesses. I mean, it's a plane, so everybody's in it that can say that this man needed to get punched in the face. Yeah, yeah, I'm with that. Listen, I've worked with some people that need to get punched in the face. Moving on, Okay, so speaking of violence, there, somebody died. Somebody died at a nightclub. No, no, no, okay, nobody died.
That was something happened. Okay, this this story is a few weeks old, but we never talked about I realized we've never talked about this. So there's a rapper from Prince George's County, Maryland named Gunu. Okay, he's like a young guy, probably like twenty four ish, um, and he was murdered. He was shot in a supposed robbery in PG County, Right, Gunu um had his homegoing celebration of life at the club. He had his funeral at the club at Bliss. You lot, No, at Bliss, people paid
forty dollars to celebrate Gunu's life. Gunu's real name is Mark Hill Morrow. Okay, let's pause, right, Okay, just so that the people know Bliss is a nightclub in the DC area. Okay, That's where the conversation starts and stops, right like, So, so we have been to Bliss, we actually held our season two premiere party at and we actually know the owners of Bliss. So why were they charging forty the door? I mean maybe to go to
the scholarship fund. I don't know the memorial fund. But so so so he's literally standing up like on the stage holding a cell phone. He's dead, he's still okay with sun glasses. I don't know. I don't know if the sunglasses are regular glasses with glasses on. A crown on his head and people are literally in the club partying with a corpse. I lies you down. No, I think have propped him. Oh, let me show you the let me show you the immage. Can't let me for
the image. I need I need the image okay, and everybody has paid for And the word on the curb is that it got hot in there and face started melting and his mouth came, mouth dropped open. Now we're sorry to be talking about you. Oh my gosh. Okay, So wait a minute. I did, okay, Robin showing me the picture. Now, I did see this picture, and I didn't know what the hell it was, so I paid I paid no attention to it. You didn't realize it was a dead rapper in the club holding his cell
phone with like a rolex on his this. Let me tell you all something. This is not not I feel like you cannot do that to the dead right. So of course the people, like people who saw this on social media or whoever, they were like, oh, hell no, his his mama wantn't want that. Why his mama let that happen? Or you know how y'all do that. His mama went with that. His mother went on the news, the local news, and said, this is what my son would have wanted. That's how he wanted to go out.
He wanted to celebrate his life, turning up having a party. I don't want people to be sad and crying. He always wants people to be happy having fun. So she got the money from the door. I'm sure so. And my thought was, like, you know, people are like thinking his mother wouldn't have want that. Well, there's no way a funeral home is going to release this man's body to a club and prop it up without someone from the family saying, yes, let's do this. That okay, that
is is that sacrilegious? That's a whole lot of stuff. It probably is. I mean, y'all look up now. Yes, he's literally holding a cell phone with his with his rolex and he has on a sweatshirt, a sweatshirt, a hoodie, some jeans, some ripped up gene crown, and some glasses. And everybody thought this Who thought this was a good idea? His mama and the people to pay forty dollars to go? They said it was packed and then it gets hot and his and his mouth chopped over. So who embombed him? Okay,
because that funeral home, right, because they need to stitch it. Okay, listen that funeral home. Listen, y'all will not get repeat people coming in there because y'all can't even embalm me the dead. No, I don't know if that's true. That was just like, so I don't have a picture of his mouth hanging open, but that's that's what they said. I just that was like the most mind boding story. Okay,
we're never going back to Bliss. Bliss is over. They have probably staged it, right, And of course so people were like mad and Bliss and so Bliss put out a statement like we didn't know. They claimed they didn't know. They didn't know what that the people who party were bringing a dead body. And if you didn't know when the dead body got there it was propped up, you
were informed because this is strange. Get out. Yes, And there was literally like it looked like it was like a security guard like standing right next to him because people were rolling up on the dead body. This is if I went to the club that night, I'm turning
around going home. I'm not feeling comfortable with this. And paid forty dollars, You know, I wonder if I wonder if the people who came who showed up and paid forty dollars, if they thought they were just showing up to a celebration, they probably did not know that the body was being there there. When was the last time you paid to get into a club. I haven't paid to get into a club. It's never nineteen o two. If I gotta pay to getting your damn club by coming,
what in the world? And then and then we got to pay to see a dead body? She that's insane, insane, And I mean the things people do. It's not the first, like I've seen story. I've I've seen stories of that in like foreign countries like No, the South, Carli the South, So that was not just all arriving, that was Carly and so come for her. But I feel like I've seen it in like the Dominican Republic or something like the body is like chilling in the house and a
chair or something like. Literally, for real, listen, when I when I die, I closed the casket. I don't even want you looking at me. Put a beautiful picture of and um you can just you know, cry or laugh or whatever. Exactly, yes, exactly, yeah, please don't put me in you know we're not doing that. Okay, So this this new show on MTV called Help I'm in a Secret relationship. Help, I'm in a secret relationship. Get out what you're need help for you pet yourself in it?
Like what do you mean, right, And if you're go on a show and say help, I'm in a secret, it's not a secret anymore no longer, So just help. I'm in a relationship with somebody I don't want to be, like, what does it? What does that mean? That means you a mistress? The family doesn't the family doesn't know. Oh, that reminds me of a story I heard on the radio. So this show is about so help I'm in the secret?
Relationship is about people in relationships with people that their family is unaware of or like, so they have like a whole But that's probably the best most of the time because you don't want that commentary. But wait, So this reminds me. I was listening to the radio in the car one day, it was like about three months ago, and this girl was on there and she was saying how her boyfriend has lived in her parents basement for like three months and they did not know what it's like.
He had like no job, nowhere to go, so he literally was living in their basement and their parents did not know because they never went down there. Right, Okay, so she's sneaking him food, yes, and he won't flush to a lot of parents at home. This is absurd. What it's wrong with people? So just when did the parents find out? I think they did eventually found that. I mean this day. Yeah, I'm gonna need for him to get a job. Isn't that crazy? That that that
is beyond crazy. I don't know how how much legs this show has help. I'm in a secret relationship. Has anybody got to watch this? MTV? What are y'all doing? Y'all, y'all need some content. We'll happen to music videos? I know. Isn't it crazy? When we were growing up, it was like you return to MTV or b ET to watch videos period period, nothing else, and then and then you would say, oh okay TRL or UM one O six
and par like none of that. I don't understand it because I do remember like both of those BT MTV and then would h Yes, you would be in front the TV and you'd be trying to get the dance moves right yeah right? But how did VH one go from music video like like soul you know, kind of like they weren't like the bats or the mtvs. They were like the more mellow soul music or whatever, to freaking basketball watch and loving hip hop. Listen, they said,
we gotta change change gears? How to change? Like, how does that make sense? It doesn't v H one, and like it literally stands for like video what is the v H I don't know, video hits one something like that. You're like, how do you go from that to love and hip hop? Mona Scott, that's how okay? And and they took but there's no love and hip hop on right now? Do you you want to know? Okay? Because there's love and hip hop Atlanta, Miami, New York, l A.
None of it is on right now? Why, I don't know, but I need my ratchet back, pleased to give it back to me. That's actually a good observation. Black black about say black China Child, what's the what's the black ink? Black ink is on right now? Yeah, but I don't watch that, but they think it's the love and hip hop. I'm just else tuning in. So and then Basketball Watch is coming back on? Are you gonna watch that now?
I'm not gonna watch it. I'm I used to. I'm gonna not watch this time because I don't know something about Evelyn. You know, she's not gonna be on and something about in all Emlyn and I mean, oh my God, like I like all of that. Okay, yeah, so Evelyn's not on. I think Shanny is gonna be on like a little bit. Speaking of Shannie, she's engaged to a nice little pastor. They look so cute together. Do you have any advice for her? Oh? Wow, because she's going
to be a first lady Shanny. Then people in the church is crazy. Okay, I'm here to tell you. Okay, but you just focus on your husband and if an old lady in the church feels the need to cut you out, just take you and say, you know what, God bless you, God bless you, right, Mr Johnson, God God loves you, Mrs Johnson. Yeah. So now, I mean I've seen like them on Instagram and stuff. They look so super cute together and she seems happy. Oh and we didn't talk about right, I mean, but Shaq really
is telling us like what we all already know. Yeah, but I do appreciate the fact that that guy that whoever she Kill was talking to was trying to insinuate that they were both wrong in their marriage, therefore they got divorced. She Kill was like, halla held up, let me let me correct, Shanny did nothing wrong. Yeah, I'm waiting for the Jamal Brian announcement. Shanny did nothing wrong
as a matter. I sent it to Jamal and I was like, sound familiar, and he explained it like, she took care to kids, she took care to house, she took care of all the businesses, and I was out here living a double life. Yeah, I appreciate that she killed. Oh, Neil, that's why God is blessing you with all kinds of business out here in these streets. All right, we have just got to grow up. They have to grow Yeah,
grow up, and yeah we'll call it growing up. Okay, So Robin has eight sentences that we should all live our lives by. So this is gonna be profound, y'all. Y'all, you know, we talked about a whole lot of stuff, a whole lot of nonsense, but we do try to, you know, impart some type of inspirational words as well. So I come across these posts on Instagram, am and I'll save them, and I said, I'm going to share this with the podcast listeners because I love you all.
So this is eight sentences that everyone should believe. Okay, Okay, So you should believe. Okay. So I haven't heard any of these sentences, but I'm here to tell you. If something sounds crazy, I'm gonna let you know. Okay, I appreciate it. Okay, Um, you have to lose a few people find yourself that I like that. I like that. But are they u exclusive? You know what I mean? Like? Can they be mutually exclusive? Like? Can you find yourself
without happen without having to lose people? Yeah? Um, according to this post, no, you cannot. Okay, continue on. I think I think it actually should read. You shouldn't be afraid to lose a few people to find yourself, you know what I mean? I got one for you. Okay, No, okay, you do yours, okay before you forget Okay. So this is my T. E. Jake's impressionation. Okay, because I've watched
this reel about fourteen times. Okay. So T. D. Jake said, you ain't gonna let fear rue rue your life, even if you scared, even if you're trembling, even if you um can't do it and you and you're terrified, do it anyway, have the courage to do it because you don't want to be in the old folks home being in a bad band, and you didn't do it? Did you really say me? Yes? Yes, And let me tell you something. That thing shook me to the court. Yeah,
whatever it is I'm careful about. I was probably scared that. I don't know anyway, But I mean I appreciate that, like like fear will like debilitate you. Yes, and it will stop you from from doing a lot of stuff that you you you know, it can stop you from leading a life that you never even imagine that you
could leave. Yes, And a lot of times the fears in your head, so it's like you're you're stopping yourself from doing something, But once you go ahead and do it, you look back like what what was the skart of that for? Exactly? And then you know you just never want to have regrets. So do you want to let fear prevent you from doing stuff that when you're an old folks home, you're like, man, I should have just done that, I should have just done X, Y and Z.
Let me tell you something. I'm out here doing it. Yes, yes, all right, so back to my list. So you have to lose a few people to find yourself, which I think we should edit to say, don't be afraid of losing a few people in order to find yourself. And I think that you know that can apply to friendships, relationships, you know, businesses, whatever, coworkers. Um. Sometimes people are holding you back um number two. Sometimes it's best to keep it private until you know it's permanent. Let me tell
you something, hunts need Hunt. It's very difficult for being robbing to keep things private because we're on this show, Your Housewives of the Tommach and they are all in our business. But I do agree with that. Yeah, yeah, I agree. I mean whenever whatever, it is like in
good stuff and bad stuff. So I think about when you're going through See it's hard because like when you're going through struggles with your partner or with a friend or whatever, and then you um, you can fide in another person, right, and then you make up and you resolve those issues, and then that other person is still mad and they like, don't you remember where he did? And so it's like sometimes it's like you really have to be careful with what you're sharing with people because
sometimes they're going to hold hold it against you. And then on the flip side, it's like you could think that you're about to close a business deal. How don't you do you know how many people Because in the world of reality TV, UM, reality TV production companies and casting companies, they try to cast people left right up
down around. Do you know how many people I've heard that have gone around telling all their friends and family that they're going to be famous and they're gonna be on reality TV because someone so talked to them and blah blah blah, and it doesn't happen, right, So then you're left looking stupid, kind of stupid when people are like, Hey, what whatever happened to that show? You said you're going
to be one? Whatever happened to that? Because I mean and that it's so funny because like I applied that to my own experience with Potomac. Remember, I mean, could tell you we want season three and I was like, so we're on a show, right, Yes, We've been doing this for years. What are you talking about? Like the cameras at my door? I'm like, what y'all doing here? So So anyway, yeah, I just think it's important. It's
it's always hard. It's like, just be careful with what you share and who you share it with and how premature, you share it and all that type of stuff. Okay, Well, I gotta go back to my phone and I gotta call coming in. Why doesn't iPhone like you can't hit decline when you're not like on your phone. Anyway, that's a whole another subject. I can we can have our iPhone rights later. Okay, number three, If you can attach, you can detach. H So that that brings me to stories.
So I was, um, what was years ago? And I was I thought I was on a date. Okay, I was. I was. I was doing a little vak with this dude, right, and I didn't really know when I was. He let's say he had to be there for the week and I was in town for a couple of days, and I didn't really know when I was leaving, right because I had just had stuff to do. And he was like, just also, when when are you leaving? And I was like, are you trying to get rid of me? Right? And
he said, no, I need to. I'm trying to figure out when to disconnect. Oh, and that that also was rude to me. I was like, what the hell does that mean? But he I understood, like he just wanted to know, like when was the disconnection happening? Yeah, so was that so disconnect from like being hospitable, or disconnect from me getting out of his room, disconnect from us being together? Really yeah, he just it was a very strange way of him asking me to get the happy. Yes,
need to start packing? Yeah yeah, yeah, you know, like okay, you know what in fact, well and my flight leaves in ten minutes. But I think really it was because I never really had I didn't know when I was leaving, so he you know, I guess he just needs to know when I was leaving anyway, Yes, that that that
I mean, I guess that's similar. But um yeah, like if you can attach to something or someone, then you have the ability to detach as well, so don't So it's pretty much don't put all your eggs have have them egg scrambletony all over the alright. Number four, social media has made perfect look achievable, so now real has become undesirable and that's so true. Yeah yeah, I mean I think honestly, I think even before social media, people
had issues with trying to achieve perfection. You know, whether it's like passed on, passed down from their parents, you know how many people I know that have like parent issues, you know what I'm saying, because their mother wanted them to be skinny, or you know what, they wanted to live up to their parents expectations and stuff. So so yeah, I mean social media definitely. You know people on social media they're not and I would say most most of us are guilty of it. We're not going to post
the ugly pictures, but no, I don't. I don't want y'all see that, right, Yeah, I mean, but you know, it is like the filters and stuff, like, you know, you have to be mindful that if you're posting a picture and you look nothing like that, you don't post that,
right that. Yeah, that's an issue. Yeah, yeah, but yes, we we would love to be back to realness because because I do feel like if you look at what people look like today with with or without filters and stuff, versus what they look like in the eighties, you know what I mean, people in the eighties were just more raw and more like now it's just like, I don't know, we're so like overdone. I agreed, agreed, yes, yeah, And I want to go back to having like real conversations
with people. Yes, yeah, I used to do that a lot. Yeah, I agree. All right, let's see number five. Anything that costs you your mental health is too expensive. Look elsewhere, Like what give me an example. I mean anything that's stressing you out to the point where you're like, you know, you're feeling depressed or yeah, I mean ship. That can
be a whole lot of stuff. So it's pretty much saying like there's nothing out here that's worth compromising and you know, weakening your mental health, are right, So so yeah, just keep that in mind if something is bothering you to the point where it's consuming you and you can't think straight and you're depressed, and let it go. Agree number six. If they don't know you personally, never take it personally. Oh that's not god one's And that's good
for people that are in business. Of times, if you're in business and something happens and you take it so personally, it ain't personal. It is business. Yeah that's true, that's true, but it's it's like important. It's like even if you know someone like in passing, people still might not know the real you. Like if you don't spend a lot of time around someone, um, you know, like still don't take that stuff personally and personal. Yeah, and I always
like flip it on a person. I'm like, well, that's they issue, that's their insecurity, that's there, you know whatever, their their mama drama that they're putting on you. Yes, and if and I just want to put this out there. If you want to reality television show and you're getting a paycheck, it's business. That's very true. Yeah, just saying very true. It's hard, it's a little it's yes, because we are you know, friends, we want to be friends. We want to nurture our friendship. Very true. It is
definitely a fine line. Number seven. Never assumed that loud is strong or quiet is weak. It's often the other way around. Very true. I would I would agree with that. Yes, my grandfather like barely spoke, but when he did, you listen, you listen, and even when he was quiet, it was like just his presence in the room spoke volume. So yeah, I want to stop talking. But then there are some people who who you know, they walk in and they're like, you know, they they want to be the center of attention.
And it's like you can just tell like, okay, you're not you're not comfortable where you are you know what I mean, Like it's it's it's yeah, so never soon all right, if you're happy alone, you'll be happier together. So I guess it's saying, like two people, if you're happy and content by yourself, by yourself, then in a relationship, that that makes for a better relationship. Facts. Yes, and then like you might even like being alone better than the relations Just send them all, send him yep, So
that was it. Those were good. Yeah. I think people can learn from all of those. I mean, something you can speak to somebody. Yeah, And I think I think that sometimes we just have to stop and like really think about what's important and what's what's valued, what we're valuing, and what we should like get rid of. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And I just like one of my I think people seeking perfection is like the root of a lot of
issues that people in life. You know. So it's just like if we can just let go of our desire to be perfect, in our desire to be perceived as perfect, so much will just you know, be better. Like you know, everyone you're just afraid to fail or you don't want to disappoint someone, or or you know, afraid you don't want to be judged like so what Yeah, And I don't even really And I tell this to my kids because I'm raising three teenage daughters and so that whole
perfection thing is huge right now. So I always tell them like, I don't even understand what perfect means, Like what does that mean? Defines perfect? Right? Just be yourself and that's the perfect whatever that is, flaws and all. So yeah, I think that that's what we're given to the people. Yes, if you are, if you are something called perfect, don't be perfect. No, that's not it. You don't exist. Just be yourself, damn it. Figure out what that is, figure out what makes you happy, what makes
you sad? Just be yourself? Yes, all right, that is our show, guys. We absolutely love y'all.
