Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of The Black Effect podcast network and I Heart Radio. Hello, and welcome to another episode of Reasonably Shady. I am Gazelle Bryant. What's up? What's up? Everyone? I am Robin Dixon did We are so happy to be here with you. I feel like we have been like gone forever we've been. Yeah, it's just been two weeks. Alright, alright, yes, it's just been two weeks for people. I need for y'all to understand
y'all love us. We y'all, we love y'all. And this is like, drum roll, drum roll, look at look at what y'all did. Look at what y'all did. We are now on season two of the Reasonably Shady. Let me tell you I did not. I didn't. I didn't. I've said this before multiple times, like I do not know what to expect with this podcast. Um, but being on a season two already is like, that's such a moustone. It's so huge, and we only have you guys to thank for listening to us, loving us and all of
that good stuff. We also want to think our partners clearly, Black Effect, we love the fact that you love us. And that you want to keep us around because truth, he told Black Effect took a little bit of a chance on it. They did. They saw something in us, they did, you know, they were probably you know a lot of people probably were like, I don't know, housewives, they stuck up, they spoiled, they only work. Huh. Yeah, you know, Black Fact, they took a chance on us,
and I guess we delivered. So listen, we deliver something, um and my heart, we appreciate you as well. And you know, housewives, and you know this because I've said this so many times. You know, I was told since I'm a housewife, I'm stupid, Like there's no way I could be smart, right, And I've been told that by like people in high places, and we are proving them
absolutely freaking wrong. Absolutely. I mean, I think people just see they hear reality TV, they see house wots and they think, first of all, they think what we do is easy. It's not by any means. But you know, you can't paint everyone with one broad brush either. No, that's the great thing. We are all dynamic. We all have different you know, elements and aspects to us that make us unique. Yes, some people are stupid, but we're not. Yeah, there are some very stupid housewives and I've met them.
I'm not gay, but were Okay, they're not on our franchise. We're gonna keep it pushing. What do they look like? Listen, there's no no one in Atlanta, no no one in Atlanta. So it's not under black girls. Okay, keep it moving anyway. All right, So we were kind of a way when the slap, they're supposed to be like riding a bicycle. Oh what happened? She not talk about? We can't wait? Can't we talk about this? Okay? But you're right, our reasonably shady moment of the week. Okay, So I have
a big one. Not a big one, but okay, So y'all, y'all know, I'm on this whole fitness thing. I'm going to the gym all the time. I'm taking these different classes. I got my train to Tyrone, and so I have another guy that I do. I take his classes. His name is Timbo. Okay, Timothy is his real name, but everybody calls him Timbo. And he's like, you know, a fun guy. He's super skinny, he spends a lot of time in Miami. He wears speedos, Okay, fine, he's gay, right, Okay,
so and he's like cool at shit. So, um, he has like this jump roping class. I normally take his running class, right, which is like everybody's on a treadmill and he's kind of walking us through the running set, right, Okay. So I decided, you know, I'm gonna take this job roper class. So I walk in the door and Timbo sees me. He said, I just so. I was like, okay, that's weird. But I go and I get my little jump rope and I get you know, and it's a weighted jump rope, so it is very intense. So I go.
When I get my little area in the in the room, I'm I'm gonna set up, and he comes over to me. He's like, yeah, this this class is real intense. And I'm like, Shade, what does that mean? And he basically was looking at me like you need to leave because you can't handle this. She's like, I've seen you in the gym, yeah, and this is not for you. This is not for you. This is only for like the professionals. So I said to him, I don't like where this
is going. But I was like whatever, Tembo and I set myself up and I did that damn class, did you? I did the damn thing all the way through it. I got all the way through it. Now, my heart rate didn't stop beating for like two days. My heart rate was five thousand for like two days after that. But Tembo, you were shady to me, sir, Yes he was, And look at you. You did it. You proved him wrong, you proved haters from And after the class was over, I walked up to him and I was like, like, really,
like what you gotta say. He was like, oh, just ol, you know, I'm just nothing. I did the damn thing, tempo shady self, Yes, thank you. What is your shady moment? Oh my gosh, I've probably had the same shady moment before. But so you know, I've moved into a house. I'm um whatever, decorating all that type of stuff, my sofa that I was expecting the middle of March, Robert, I try to tell you, yes, I can't. This is I was expecting at the middle of March. Then it was
the end of March. Now guess when when I'm doing the end of April, like what were almost there were almost? No, we're not like I mean, okay, it's the middle of April now. But when I was told so, so, when I was told this like earlier, I was just like I am like, I literally threw my phone across the room. I was like, okay, take it because the problem is it's holding up not just the one room that is going and it's going to my family room. So I have right now I have a temporary solf in my
family room. We're supposed to go in my office. So like I'm just it's like it's like a domino effect. Yes, yes, yes. And then on top of that, where my damn drapes, like child you and be waiting for a long time, and drapes, I'm gonna tell you, and your drapes I'm telling the people are from like the ceiling to the floor special Customs specioper. Yeah, super high ceiling. But they say it's not and this is the the if they say it's not even the product issue for the drapes,
it's a labor issue. They got nobody to install it, to do the work. Yes, yes, to install that. Like so so we're waiting, I guess, to get on the schedule to have them installed because they're short staff same thing. Really told you what my landscaper said. Yeah, my landscaper that you know when when we lived in our old house, so from like over ship, what was that from two thousand two to two thousand sixteen. Is man landscape my house. And he had a whole slew of people who worked
for him. You would go through the neighborhood and you would see his trucks and his people and his crew all over the neighborhood. So I called him to come landscape my new house. Child. This man is working by himself. He has where he said, nobody wants to work. You know what he sounds like, Kim Kardashian. Nobody wants to work. I'm a Kim on that. So yes, get later. You know, every landscapers and and all that, get your ass up and work. Nobody wants to according to its not this
is a universal issue. This is not right a female issue that Kim Kardashian talked about. I guess we should talk about that since I brought it up. Yeah, we we can. But I just want to say wait for it, because my shady moment of another week is gonna be my landscapers. But we'll wait on that. Okay, any way, yes,
let's talk about Kim. So Kim did say that and said, you know this, it was like it was the way she said it, it was you know, it's hard because it's every it's perspective, right, so you know it's like, oh, um, what was it? What advice do you have? And she's like, I have the best advice. Robin's interpretation of Kim is spot on. Okay, go ahead, and we love you Kim. She said, get your ass up and work. Nobody wants to work these days. Listen, and like went on. I
understood what she was saying. I did too, but she you know, it's kind of hard because it's like you, like Kim, you gotta preface it like, yes, I know that I have a um you know, I had had a silver spoon in my mouth and things were kind of handed to me. But she still had to you can you can put her on the same list as like other people that probably had the same platform, platform or same opportunities, right, I maybe even a Paris Hilton, Like Paris Hilton was the original. And then Kim came
and Kim, I would say, probably her ass off. She did thousand times harder than Paris Hilton, did Paris Hilton still Paris Hilton. But she's not you know, she's not on that level. She's not worth a billion, right, her family maybe, but not Kim, I mean not parents. So it's just it's all a perspective thing because I'm because I'm sure Kim sees other people who who had the same opportunities that she did, such as, you know, just rich parents or you know, just knowing people that aren't
doing anything, that aren't working hard. Look at Courtney, well, Courtney, you you made it clear, and it's so funny. I feel like I was looking at Courtney in that moment that clip to see Courtney's response, because I do feel like Courtney probably was like, shut up right. Well, I mean, if I don't know these people, but if I was to look at the three of them, Kim, Courtney, and Chloe, Kim obviously gets her hustle on, and I feel like Chloe does too. I feel like Courtney is just like, oh,
I'll do it if I feel like it tomorrow. I'm not getting up, Okay, I'll get up on Thursday. Like she just seems like she's very don't talk about Courtney is an aries Okay, oh explains it. You know, I don't mind chilling sometimes I want to be with my kids. You know, it was vegan at one point. But but no, no, I mean I understand, I understand what Kim was saying. It's just always it's like the perspective that is coming from the person. You know, it's hard. You gotta kinda hurt.
What she's saying doesn't go for everyone, but yes, there is um. In order to be successful, you gotta work hard periods like that's the moral to the story. Period. Yes, all right, before we get into any other hot topics, Robin and I have an announcement. Doom, dude, dude, but I okay, May eighteen, you better save the date because Robin Dixon and just Sell Bright are going to be live, live, live, live, live show Live, Reason Live, Reason Shooting, LA Shooting. Okay, guys, seriously,
we're so excited. We are doing a live show um here in the d m V area. It is May eighteen, reasonably Shady live dot event right dot com. And you know what, I'm going to link it on our reasonly shad dot com website too. Yes, yeah, well we'll put the link in. But guys, and we still have merchandise you can buy. Yes, we have merchan you can buy.
We're so super excited about it, reason being like, you know, we have gone to a couple of podcast shows that have had live shows, right and we loved how the people were interacting with all of the folks that came to the show. That's what we plan on doing. We're gonna be live, up close and personal. We're gonna interact. We're gonna be like all up in your face. Yes, and you know what I think. It's like, we want to see you guys too. We want to hear you guys too, Like you guys hear us. You see us,
you know, on our Instagram page or our YouTube. When Carl chooses to upload YouTube, Robin Shade to Carly, Carl is looking at me like, bitch, try me okay anyway, but so like you all see us, you hear us, but we don't hear you, right you. We want to like see y'all. So you know, I'm hoping we have a packed house, but if we don't, it's okay, No, guys come out and and listen. Listens. Yes, and we do have like a meet and great section because we do want to like, hug you guys, take pictures with
you guys. We want to we want to get up in all up India. So um eighteen save the day, and y'all got to make this successful because if it is successful, then we might consider going to other cities. But if nobody comes with me and Robbin, it ain't going nowhere. Okay, I'll just tell you down because this is not it's suspensively what we're doing out But I know that I've seen, like you know, some people are coming in from out of town, which is like such an honor. I know, thank you so much for for
doing that. Yes, I love you. Can we not talk about the slab? Yes? Okay, yes, I know. Yeah, I know we're little late with this with us. I feel like just when it happened, that was, you know, on a Sunday, and I think we called each other yes, oh my god, like, how is this going to happen? And we're not recording break? Yeah, we want to break so and so we actually considered like recording, but we were like, no, let's let's plan. Yes, let's stick to
our break because we're little tired out here anyway. Okay, So y'all know what we're talking about. The slab at the Oscars, Will Smith got up out of his seat after Chris Rock made a joke about Jada and it was a joke. It was actually very p g rated joke like it was. It was no big joke. It was not offensive in my opinion, not offensive at all. Um. And then all of a sudden, Well got up out
of his seat. He woked Chris Rocket. Chris Rock thought he was gonna like kiss him or something or Chris Rock had his face out there like wait, it was like it was it was so he was like hey, I mean he like literally made his face so readily available toy for the slap. And so then out of nowhere, no one was expecting it, we heard a and that thing was hurt in China, it was hurt in Australia. That slap was heard around the world. Funny to the point where I was sleep my phone started ringing off
the hook. I was like, well, god, damn, what happened. The alerts were all the text messages. Oh my god. So then the fallout, Okay, so the fall out at this point in time, we all know, um, what's the same. Will Smith can no longer attend the Oscars for ten years? What's that about? I mean, like, is that is that a punishment? Okay, that's almost a gift kind but but
I mean, what can they do? I guess all right, the punishment really would be like you can't be nominated and you can't win, Like that's more of a punishment thing, like you can't attend. I though it was not expecting ten years. Ten years, that's like I would have thought I would have been all right if it was just one year, but it was like, you can't come next year.
But like, but ten years, that's not even I don't that's like it's extreme, but it really is like okay, like whatever, But um, let's get to why we think he did what he did. Let's get to that. So it wasn't it kind of weird how he was like laughing ever, and I wish can we find the camera that did not cut away from them between the laugh and the and the in him walking on stage? Well, no, we saw Jayda row her eyes. Well we saw that,
but in right, what happened right right? Because there's no there's no camera on Jada when Will gets out of his chair, right, and there's no. I mean there's a little something like okay, she wrote her eyes and then he looked at her, but the camera cuts away, right, so we're like, what happened then, right? Did she say like you better handle this or was she like I don't know, like it was just so weird for him
to go from from one thing to the other. Right now, I must say, I don't care how many times I look at this slap. I still think the ship was fake. I don't think like no, no, no, no, no. I don't mean I don't think Chris Rock was in on it. I think that was like one of those acting slaps. I don't think. You don't say you don't think he got hit for real. I think he maybe hit him, but he hit them like they do in the movies
so that they don't hurt them. Because I'm sorry if I guess if Chris Rock didn't even like grab his face his whole body went to the side with his face, but he did. Okay, if I could slapped, I'm going to like maybe grab like it was. I felt his reaction was so like it was so mellow for being slapped like that, robbing. No one else feels that way. I Dot Times because no, because there's a clip of of Will teaching a kid how to fake Yes, I saw that. That looks just like that. Okay, I'm telling
he did not slap him mark even. I mean you can see a little bit. Okay, So you don't think Will was wrong? No, No, I didn't say that. Okay, no, no, he's still wrong, Like you's still wrong to get up fake slap him like, I mean, he clearly made contact. I think Chris was really slapped, not fake slaps the record, But okay, so why didn't he like grab his face or like it's a sla it's not a punch. It's a slap like a slaps hurt, only so much a
punch will knock you out. I don't know a slap stings, and you'd be like, I don't know, like he Chris is a christ Room wasn't even like he was just like wow, wow, Chris Rock just slap. I'm sorry if someone slaps me with the force that it looked like
Will Smith slappy, you're going to grab your face. You're going to be like you're gonna you're gonna grab You're going to say like say or you might be like I mean, okay, so so is this like, like do we need to like erect a freaking statue for Chris Rock for like not reacting because he wasn't even like what the bro like like he did know. He was like, wow, I just got slapped. Slap. Yeah, I'm sorry. If someone walks up to me and slaps me, I am going to be so out of sorts, like not know what
to do. I'm going to hold my face and say, oh, I have a different perspect I'm going to say I can't believe this, just like I feel like Chris Rock is like the goat, right, yeah, I guess he Okay, so he gets slapped, he acknowledges little and he's little. He's a skinny dude. He's kind of tall. He's a skinny dude. He acknowledges it, right. He says, oh, just go to love Boy Wilf Smooth, and then he he did something said something else I can't remember, and then
he went straight back to the prompter. That means like that's like he's a professional. He went back to prompter. He you know, handled his bit and he got off stage like that is some goat ship. It's very impressive him It was kind of like Beyonce falling down the steps and getting up and literally her face is cash and blood is dripping down and she jumps up and
continues the song like amazing, You're the goat. No, it was awesome, and it made me think in that moment, Okay, that was just a joke, like that was playing right because he handled it so well. Yes, but clearly that was not a joke. Okay, So let's get to why that the ship happened. This is my theory, Okay. I
feel like Jada has emasculated that man. We didn't got on the red table, and she didn't said had entanglement, Like you made up a word to talk about effects you was cheating on your husband, Like you came up with a word entanglement because we didn't know about that word. I wish they never shared that, right, But then you made your husband talk about it. And then he says, tell me what that means. Remember that she said I had an entanglement. He said, like, explain that or tell
me what that means. And she said, well, you aren't giving me what I needed, bitch. What Like, I just
feel like some things are not for public consumption. Yeah, I definitely feel I felt I felt like the Red Table Talk, especially when Will was getting involved, it was like, yo, like we want y'all to stay on your pedestal, right, Like we want to be you know, confused, We wanna we wanna um, you know, wonder and have curiosity about thank you, but not really have the confirmation exactly, so that that conversation about August should not have been for
the public. I don't think, Yeah, no, I don't think so I have to. I think they just totally took them. They knocked themselves off of their pedestal, which you know, okay, that's fine there everyone's no one's perfect. So maybe they wanted to be a little more relatable to the masses. But I just felt like we, especially in black culture, they were like our power couple. They were a couple.
They were you know, one of them, and I really when they when even when Ja herself was on Red Table Talk, I just like, sometimes it's like you don't
want to know too much. Yes, some things need to be like stay like you know, Beyonce and jay Z. Like if Beyonce ever gets on Instagram and post anything other than beautiful pictures, beautiful pictures, and starts like, you know, rambling and talking about their personal business and stuff like like Beyonce smarter than that, She's just gonna write a song about it, and everybody's gone by it another billion and everyone's gonna spec it lemonade? Did we did? We
remember that? Listen? And I would be cool with cool with Will slapping backstage right, or they walk into the car and they get a little slap, going cool, because we were all cool with Solange beating the hell out of jay Z in the elevator because that was you know, send my behind closed doors, right, But you can't do this publicly in front of the world. You can't do on that stage, on that stage. And okay, let's get back to the August else. Can we get back to
that real quickly? So you emasculate this man. And I felt like he felt like slapping Chris was gonna get his balls back right for her, So you felt like he did it for her approval, He did it for the world, for the world. He did it for like I'm I'm big man on campus and me and my wife are tight, and this is how I protect her. So I'm gonna slap another black man because you, because if it was Jerry Sign fell up there, you wouldn't have slapped the probably not if it was Dave Chappelle,
you ain't slapping him any anyone else. You're not doing to do that to Chris Rock because Chris Rock is kind of scrawny. But don't get me wrong, I love Chris Rock. He s puple something. They had beef, did they? I don't know? Okay, so apparently that they didn't have a slap in front the World beat. So maybe Chris Wakers like joked about Will Smith and he should. He's a comedian. He's a comedian, right, That's the other thing, Like we're talking about a comedian here. It wasn't like
another actor. Like then that's not what they do, you know what I mean, Like he's a comedian. But okay, so so he was trying to prove his masculinity here. That's what I think. I mean, I do think gosh, I don't know. It's like I just feel like he like snapped, like he was out of it because even that little smug the way he walked away, it was just like yeah, he's like yeah, I did that. Yea. It's like, do you realize where you are right now and do you realize you're now a goofball and that
that gave you no cool points? And yeah yeah, And you know it's so funny because I know, like people were kind of divided on it a lot. Yes, you know, especially in the black community. Um, people want to you know, there's people who want to continue to supports support him or say, oh he was defending his wife, it's okay, and then other people were like that's not acceptable. However, whichever way you want to slice it. And so one
one has always always been a huge Will Smith fan. Yeah, Like he actually thought that maybe if basketball didn't work out for him, he could be like Will Smith stunt double right or standing in. You know what I'm saying, I love One's hopes and dreams. I love it. I'm not laughing at you one, I'm just laughing with you, okay. So you know he thought he was he could be
a good Will Smith standing right. Okay. So when it happened, he was like, you know, he had all the thought processes, talked it through, you know, going through He's like, I've lost all respect for him, all respect. Yeah. It was black on black crime at the Oscars that's never cool. Never, But it's not. It doesn't matter, it's it's not cool. If it's I don't it's it's not cool. If anybody
does it. No, it's not cool if a white man does it to a white man, or if a white man does it to a black man, if a black man does it to a white cool, it's not. It's not cool. And then it was really not cool. But wait, can you imagine the uproar if it was a white man that went up and slapped a black man, a black man that went up and slapped It's never happening. First of all, the backlash of that, that black man
would have been dragged out of there. Will you got to sit there and get your god damn moscar, which bothered me. That bothered me sitting there, sitting there screaming, um, keep my my wife's name out your half the mouth, like, how are you still sitting here? I think everybody was so shocked and did not know. They were shell shocked. They did not know what they did do, how to handle they did, what's going on? They probably themselves thought, oh,
maybe Will and Chris are in on this together. Whatever. I don't know, because it was just so bizarre. I didn't like it. Now, this has not been completely confirmed, but word has it that Jada later was like, I didn't need Will to do that. I'm no wall flower. I don't need any man to protect me. I can stand up for myself. Where was this, Well, it's not confirmed, but this is what the word on the street is. Now.
If that is the case, if that's how you feel, and I can see her saying that, that's because it's like, your husband did this in front of everybody for you. You You gotta ride with him, whether you like it or not. But maybe that's the response to people saying, oh, he did this to prove his love. You know what I'm saying. So maybe maybe if she said that, maybe that's in response to people saying he was doing it for her. Whatever he says at this point, you gotta ride with him. Now.
Let me ask you. You read his book, right? No? Oh you didn't know? Okay, all right, because I feel like I did read something where people were like, they read his book and they kind of understood him a little bit. When his book came out, we talked about it because his promotion for buying the book Stupid was Robin said stupid. I thought it was genius and you still didn't read the book. I didn't get the book.
I just thought it was genius. But there was promotion and it was genius and you still didn't get Listen, listen, I have I have officially unfollowed Will Smith on Instagram. Okay, big us. I don't want to him, No, I don't. I'm I'm anti Will Smith at this point. Enough already he needs a time out. And that's how I feel about it. Yes, I'm hard in the paint with the Will Smith situation. Now let's move on because we have talked about this enough because there's other things in the
world that are happening. I e. We now officially have a black woman in the Supreme Court. Boom, boom and boom. How do you like me? Now? Her name is Katangi Brown Jackson or Jackson Brown lit a minute, yeah, Katanji Brown Jackson. And let's just talk about her. Um her hearings right because white people showed day ass. Yes, white people showed y'all racist. You know, it's so crazy. It's like y'all were like you were gonna lose anywhere, so like stop it stopping some grace, like just give her
some respect. And it's so crazy when you see when you line up like all of her qualifications next to the last one, Um Amy, Yeah, the one that they threw in there. Yes he's a conservative and who's horrible. It's insane. It is insane, Like Katangi checks all of the boxes, like every single box, and I think Amy check probably like three out of like ideal to you know, you know what I'm saying, Like it's so crazy to me, Like y'all weren't going to win anyway, so but why
are you doing this? That that whole check the box thing solidifies what black parents have been telling their children for generations. What you have to deal with, what you what you gotta deal with, and you gotta be twice as smart, you gotta work twice as hard and maybe you'll get a chance. And then in Katani kids, you gotta sit there and take all that ship on the chin with a smile, take it on the chain. I
mean she literally did it. But she literally you know, as a black woman, you could tell another black woman is like yeah whatever. She was like yeah, okay. And then I love that picture of her daughter watching her in admiration and you know, ride and just so proud of her mom. I'm like, oh that and even it
was like, so it's a picture of her. And then I saw another time they were like walking and her daughter was behind her and her daughter just was so proud of Yeah, and that that is what it's all about. So guess what. And you know, we don't even have to say this, but representation matters. So I just love the fact that, you know, we have been able to see a black president, black vice president, black woman on the Supreme Court, right, And you know, it's so crazy.
It's like, I guess they felt like they checked off the black box with Clarence Thomas, but no, you didn't know. He does not represent us. And don't get me started on his wife. Can we just talk by his wife for like eight seconds because she don't deserve any more time than that. Okay, you are a conspirator of the January six uprising. I even kind of want to say you were there. I definitely want to say, because this is fact, you paid for busses to come filled with
people to storm the Capitol. You lady, are all and you're married to a Supreme Court justice and right right then and there. But like, what do they call those things when you like, you can't tell you refuse? He should refuse himself from the Supreme Court based off his wife. That is a huge conflict of interest. Yes, huge, Yeah, So I mean, if y'all aren't clear, be clear, CLIs Thomas his wife is a racist. Now I said it. Okay, we can move on absolutely, um but um. But yes,
history was made and we are all very proud. Yes one of the things, not one of the things. So many more things to talk about, so the real Okay, So our girls, Lonnie and Garcel and Adrian and Genie, we're sad. Yeah. I was hoping it wasn't true because I remember, you know, we talked about it before it was rumors and it wasn't confirmed. I was really hoping they were going to work it out, I know. But
they are now canceled. Um. And they were on. They had like a long run, like eight seasons at least, yeah, yeah, or eight years or eight I don't know whatever it is. They they I felt, spoke to us right and we you know, they were just like fun to watch, and I mean I really wonder it makes you wonder, like what what more, what is it? Like? What was lacking? Was it the rate? Were the ratings too low? No? Lonnie put out like a little statement for COVID, Yeah,
having something to do with COVID. Yeah, like COVID killed the show pretty much because you know that before COVID they had a live studio audience. Yes, so, but I don't but then they tried to make it work and um, I don't know why. You just why they had to pull the plug, like why, I mean, I don't know. It could have been ratings, who knows. But but you know, they shared their stage with us, with with the Potomac Ladies, and that was very nice with them. I'm happy we
had the opportunity to get there before. You know, Yes, but you know we we were. I mean, all of them are so super smart and talented. They're they're gonna land in great places if they want to. I can see Adrians taking a break and having like four kids or focusing on music. I think it's really cute when she and her husband uh sing together. I've never seen that. Yeah. Yeah, well he's a Gospel of Powerhouse. Okay, so I got
to look that up. There is some real housewives of Beverly Hills drama out here in these streets and they're not even on TV right now. They are they took a break, I know. I'm just like, does that make you excited for the season? I think so? But like, okay, so let me tell you what's going on. Okay. So, Garzella has a book that's coming out. I think it's
dropping like any day now or it already dropped. And there's a picture that Erica Jane, she's also on Beverly Hills, posted of Garcell's book in the trash can, like on top of the trash care How mean is that? Like? Okay, Okay, So I first of all, you know me, I recycle, And I'm like, why didn't she put that in the recycling bin? Okay, Robin, that was honestly my first thought. That was not my first thought. So, Rob, it is funny to be I was not happy with her for that. Okay,
I've done some shady things. I would have never thought to do something like that. Well, if you did it, you wouldn't like posted on Instagram, because I'm sure you've thrown parents things away. If I thrown I have not thrown Karen's candles in the trash can actually burned them. Yeah, I've used them. Yeah, they didn't smell like anything, but I used it. I gave mine away. I gave mind to my my friend's mother, who I thought, who thought I would like, like, that's that's sent um anyway, Erica Jane,
you are actually wrong for that. I don't care if you have beef. Obviously you do have with garcel but like all you had to do was just like so not read it? So did you see? Like she answered a question. They said why did she do that? And she said, because garcell and I missed this posted on Instagram or something about First of all, it's like she talked, she trashes them in her book, like her Renna and
maybe Renda's daughter or something. And then Garcella must have posted something on Instagram about them or her or something. I don't know. No, I think the trailer came out, and then the trailer, Garcella is saying, I don't need to say something to embarrass you. You embarrassing yourself following your own sister. So okay, I was gonna find it, but I was like, there's so many people that I
can say that to you. It says what made you throw the book out, and Erica replies her Instagram post, no need to use my name or very complicated legal and personal problems to sell her book. She has enough friends to help her. So I don't know what her Instagram post was. Okay, maybe in her Instagram post, she's like talking about her book and saying, Oh, I'm gonna you know, in this book, you're going to read about Erica. I don't know. Listen so you know, y'all, I'm in
like a well, it's probably split. You know. I like Erica, so I do. I love Erica, I love I love both of these ladies. I love both of these ladies. But there is some drama and Beverly Hills. I know. I'm excited for this. I am totally excited for a season. I don't know when it airs, but I'm it's coming up soon. I'm totally excited. Can I wait for my Beverly Hills lady? Are you watching any other Housewives? I have not, I have it. You know, I'm just a
little busy. But you know, New Atlanta comes out soon. Oh, they have a date. They have an air date. They do when is it? We don't know when the air date is, but yes, So just to let you guys know, our executive producer, Eric Fuller, who we absolutely love, produced this season of Atlanta, so you know, I'm sure he put his Eric Fuller twist on it. And it's going to be a good season. From from what I hear, it's gonna be great. Yes, and we we love Eric Fuller. Yes,
so we will be watching. We'll be watching. I will definitely check it out. And you know those are our girls. So who do they have still left that we know? Oh? Everybody? Do you know Marlow? Everybody? Well, not everyone, nobody. I know all of them except the new girl you said. Oh okay, okay, that's what you mean. Yeah, okay, do you know have you met Marlow? Um met her Andy's baby shower? Oh that's right, that's right. Okay, So who but you haven't met Drew? No? Okay, Juice, super sweet,
but I don't. I can't remember the new girl's name. She's a track olympian, okay, okay, all right, yeah Richards Ross, Yes, she's a track olympian. Okay. We love Candy, of course, we love Kenya. She sharade Okay, I'm here for Sharade. Yeah, she's I saw her post the other day. She was like walking her dog or something. All right, good to see. It's kind of weird that, like, you know, they usually air in November. Yeah, like so weird that they are
not airing in November. Okay, May first, they yeah, they air May first. All right. So Rob and I have a question for you guys, because this actually came up. I was I was actually on a date recently, and um, I came up on my day. I was on a date with this guy and came up, what is his name? His name is? I don't know his name? You know his name is. We're not talking about it anyway. So and then Robin posed the question what movies can you watch over and over again? So? I have like maybe three?
How many do you have? Um? And I want to know if if we have the same one that we can watch over and over again. And I think we do. And we've never had this conversation before, right okay, um okay. So it's like, so I have movies that I used to watch over and over again, and there's movies that you know, I could still watch over and over again. I'm saying. So it's like, so the the number one movie that I can watch over and over and over and over again. I swear it better be Everybody Coming
to America. That is nowhere on my list. Nowhere on my list? Are you kidding me? Dead? I watched that movie. I could watch it today and crack up at every freaking thing. Really, I mean, if it's on, I'll definitely watch it. But I'm not like, oh, I need to be coming to America. I mean but no, I mean right, I'm not like, oh, let me turn and come to America again. But like, if it's on, I'm catching it and I'm cracking up. But as when I was younger, Yes,
that movie was on repeat. Okay, I can see that because they the Dynamics were there, like the Michael Jackson was there. Yeah, it's classic. It is the best, like they will never be able to recreate or do I don't know. I just think like you cannot recreate that magic. Good morning, my neighbors. Yes, yes, did you see the new one? It was awful. I didn't see the new one.
I fell asleep on it. It was awful. I didn't see the new one because I felt like, you know that whole story and it kind of put it didn't put our sins kind of put our sine on the map. I think the new one because he had all those characters and he was like amazing because he was just as challenges Eddie Murphy like he was funny too. It was the best. Okay, so what is yours? Like? Oh gone, I'm scared to say mine. Okay. So on my date we talked about this and okay, so a long time ago,
my girlfriend told me. She was like, just you gotta watch this movie. And she was like, oh my god, it's amazing. And I was like, I'm not watching that movie movie stupid. So just because the title, I feel as stupid. So she was like, you have to see it. It's amazing. She was like. I was crying for like three days and I was like what, so time goes by, Time goes by. And then I was like, let me watch this movie. I watched it and I cried for like a week. What what is the see? I don't
want to cry? What is it? But it was so good? Love and basketball stop Loot basketball. Crying because of that movie me, I cried for a week. I mean I literally could not get myself together for like a week. She said, at the end, Double or Nothing, y'all watched this movie at the end, so I Latham says double or Nothing and if okay, so I want our viewers for these happy tears you cried. I was like, oh good, I want them to be together. Maybe I was going
through a breakup of song. But anyway, the person and the date that I was on, he agreed with me. He was like, yes, yes, that's the movie that is so great that is nowhere on my list. Love and Basket. And I'm surprised because you know, you have basketball in your life, so like Love and Basketball was everything. Yeah. I could watch that over and over again. Double enough. So this is greaty. So my list is like very old, like very just because I don't know it's weird. I don't.
I don't like I watched news. I watched the news all day. Now that's an adult. So my list is very old. So my number one, like this is you know, started when I was very young. It's Purple Rain. Oh yeah, oh I can watch a million times and you know it's so crazy. I used to literally come home from school as like an elementary schooler, turn it on and watch it and like and now it's an adult. I'm like, I can't believe my parents let me watch that. They
probably didn't know. I think they did. Maybe they just never watched it for themselves because it's like a whole new scene, you know what I mean all that, I'm like, I can't believe they let me watch it. So that was my movie. Now I have another one that's really cheesy, which is Greece Too. Ye. Never seen it, not one, it's so funny, not Grease one, but Grease To. Never seen it? Oh mg, that was my Like I wanted to be Michelle fight for well, no, no, she was
was Michelle fIF too. Yeah, Michelle fire was to Michelle because it was happening. He was the other lady in one. Um, damn John, Yes, why do I know this? Yes, but I wanted to be Michelle fight for like my whole life, my whole like from I wanted to be you kind of look like her than you. Yeah she's pretty, yeah, but I want like that was like everything Grease Too. And people think that that's like the worst Grease movie, and I'm like, no, that is the best one. I've
never seen it. Maybe I need to see it. Okay, it was coming to America Print, Purple Rain and Grease too. Okay. So my other one, well, I've already said on this podcast many times that you know, me and my kids watch the Sound of Music over and over again at Christmas. We watched every year for Christmas. That's like our thing that we do, okay, because the hills are alive with the sound of music. Just let you know. And I would like, I can't watch you can't watch that, okay.
And then the first Sex in the City movie. Oh, I watched that, and I like cry every time when she comes out with her flowers and she beats big up in in the middle of Manhattan. That was like amazing with her dress on. And then she goes off and she cries for like six months and finally they get back together in her closet with her shoe amazing. Yes,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, We're sorry. Come on, now, do you remember when that came out, Like everybody went to the movies and they were dressed to the na like you know usually go to the movies, you wear like sweatpaants and tennis shoes. I remember wearing because I had those. Do your shoes the um do you're glad? Gladiator shoes that Sarah Jessica Parker has and I had to wear my shoe, my heels and my little cute outfit to go watch the movie. But it was so crazy because
it was like such a vibe. It was like so many groups of girlfriends, yes, going to the movie together looking all cutes and stuff. You know, So that was that was love. It's more like, um, that's like a nostalgic thing, I think, just because like it yea, and the way that they that was like you could tell at that time it seemed like all the all the ladies like Samantha and all them, like they really liked
each other. Um, I don't know about now, but yeah, I don't know what's yeah, but anyway, I absolutely love that. You know what I can watch though now I'm like may become a little more current. Current is like, um, I can watch any Oceans movie like really? Yes, speaking of speaking of Rihanna was on that one right, Oh are we talking about Rihanna? What are we talking? Like?
Did you see her photo shoot? Yes? I was gonna say, okay, all right, before we get out of here, Yes, before we get out of here, we gotta talk about Rihanna, okay, because she like is making every pregnant woman who came before her look like shit. Okay, every single last moment, Jlo looks, I look like but Rihance did it for that moment, right, But Rihanna has put everybody to Shane, why are you doing this stuff? Rihanna? Why? Looks amazing? Amazing?
And it's like, you know, when she first was like debut in the bump, like it was cold as I was like if she didn't give two ships she walking around with right she was in New York and I literally said, the baby is cold. Can you cover up the baby? The baby's freezing? Okay, oh my god. She looks just freaking amazing. She looks really it's amazing, and she's just like so cool, like yeah, and and she's she's making a statement like I want to change the
way people look at pregnant women. You have done it, Sis, you have done the damn thing. Yeah. I gotta see what she looks like at month ten, because you know, it's not a not a month yeah, it's really it's really I think this is probably it for her. She's gonna hide after this because you know, at some point it's just ain't cute no more, right like you swollen everywhere because she hasn't even like she she doesn't look you know, swelled. Yes, her face is still the same. Yes,
her face is the same. Look don't feed gonna blow up? Yes, Rihanna, when you hide, girl, just know me and done that okay several times over? Oh my gosh. And then if she can walk in heels at that point, like you know what I mean? Yes, yeah, good, good for you, and asad, be nice to her, okay, give her whatever she wants, yes for sure. All right, we got to get out of here. That is our episode. We absolutely love you guys. Just remember to live your life. Reasonable
