Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of The Black Effect Podcast Network and I Heart Radio. Alright, hello, and welcome to another episode of Reasonably Shide. My name is Giselle Bryan's. Hey everyone, I'm Robin Dixon. Oh my gosh, this is episode called Sexy Voice. Just kidding now, I'm just taking Thank you for joining us, a kid, thank you, Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for everything

that you'll do. We are here because of you. We are here because indeed, all right, so per usual, we have our reasonably shady moments of zoeek Do you want me to go first? Yes, you go first? Okay, So my reasonably shady moment is courtesy of my hair stylists, Shirley Shirley. We love Shirley. I love Shirley. I've been more Shureley forever. Um, so you know we recently went to l A. It Sureley happened to be in l A doing hair for the ebany one hundred event, so

she needs to be really nice. And by the way, ebany one hundred, I wasn't invited and NA that was Robin. I know maybe next time, well one eye yeah, so does that mean A hundred years or hundred people, a hundred hundred people that they're trying to honor, and not that you need to honor me, but I mean, you know, I've been there. They could have made a D two. But anyway, okay, so okay. So Shirley was there and she was able to do my hair for the appearance

on the reel. So we added some pieces to my hair, some extensions, and she didn't have like usually you know, if I add pieces, it's like a clip on or like a tape tab or something. So I don't know. She just had like the tracks that she glued onto my hair. Right, So she's like, oh, yeah, yeah, you know you just when you go home, you take them, just rub some olive oil on it and it will slip right on out. T I today spent two hours getting these tracks out of my hair and this glue

out of my hair. I looked like my had My hair looked like oil flick like and it literally was like I mean, she she's literally, oh, it's just gonna slide on out. Some of them slid up on out, but most of them was like it was just so much work. I'm like, my hands are getting my arms getting tired. My neck is tired. I'm like rubbing the oil in. I'm trying to get it out. And then once you and then once you get the hair off,

the glue is still in the hair. And then you gotta get get the glue out and you're trying not to pull your real hair, like break your real hair out. And then so then my hair is an oil slick because I have all this olive all my hair. I gotta shampoo it and you know, get all that out, and then I'm still pulling out glue us and I'm willingly so I know because Cole has done that to me. And it was a big fight after that, because like, you never want glued down tracks, never no good. But

they're good because they lay really flat. So that's why they use them, you know. Apparently that's all kim Ka uses. Really, Yeah, apparently she she keeps hair nice and long and flat because she has it glued onto her head. But yes, I was like, no, this did not just slide on out. It was a whole like literally, it took longer to get them out than it took to put them in. Yeah. Yeah, so kim Ka and Shirley or Shady, Yes, yes, both of y'all shady, Shirley, Oh okay, so my shady moment

is okay. So I do have an excesseband. His name is Jamal and yeah you heard a femi time or two, and so we like to like share what we're watching, what we're binging with each other. So he and he's like obsessed with it, like if he thinks something is really good, like he's gonna call me like every day and make sure you watch it. Did you start watching you? Did you start watching? What do you think? What do

you think? Let's talk about it? And so he has been on squid Game, right, Okay, So I started watching first episode, I was like, this is horrible. But then I watched the second episode and I was like, this is freaking horrible. I don't like this. But then I watched the episode, watched the horrid damn thing. Okay, it

was a guid game. Y'all are shady because I hated it and I didn't want to watch it, but I kept I kept watching because you're like, it's got to get good at some point because so many people are talking about squid games. But isn't it kids, Well, kids should not be watching it and Okay, so of course, uh squid games on Netflix. I think either seeing in

or somebody because Jamal just sent me this article. It says that kids should not be watching Squid Game because it's really it's like violent, it's beyond it like turns like the regular kiddie games into and like the killing people. If you don't win the game or something, you know, you die a horrible death. Okay, and I and I don't like to watch stuff like that. It gives me nightmares. So I'm telling y'all whoever has not watched Squid Game,

don't watch it. Sorry, Netflix, it's shady because I just kept watching it thinking it's gonna give up. And I heard that like the schools are banning Squid Game Halloween uniforms, I mean costumes. Um, and my my kids watched it, like somehow. My and my kids don't really watch TV like that. They played a video game all the time or they're you know, outplaying sports, and one day they were like, we gotta watch quick Game. We gotta watch

Quid Game. I'm like, what is that? And so they sat on the couch and binge Due and Glory and Carter might grow up and be acts murderers, Like it's not I'm just kidding. I'm really joking, but like it's it really it glorifies dying. So there was nothing good about it, like nothing entertaining. So I'm changing this. The shady person of the week is Jamal Bryant because I said to him, why did you make me watch this? And why do you like this? He was like, just hell,

there's so many plots and twists and turns. It really gets into the mental um thoughts about why people do what they do and are they driven by money? He had like a four point sermon, he said to me, So really, Jamal, you're the shape and none of that happened. It all happened. But I don't care about that, Like I don't care about like what drives people to kill? Yeah, that's just not my thing. Yes, anyway, we're moving on. Okay, speaking of Halloween, do you have a costume? Um? I don't.

The time has flown so fast that like I haven't even realized that Halloween is coming up? Yes, and then like where am I going? I don't. Is anyone happen a party? Okay, So by time I hear this, Halloween will have happened. Okay, so we can talk about some things here. Yeah, we can talk Halloween guys, Happy Halloween. Okay. So for Halloween guys, it was a major full circle moment for Giselle because we all went to l A. We were on the reel Awesome Awesome Opportunity season six,

so it was a Potomac takeover of the reel. So like all of us were on for the week. It was an amazing thing. We appreciate the fact that the reel was like really into it. They came out as in like holding like what we hold champagne glasses and ourselves there holding her diamond like it was. It was great,

Thank you, It was awesome. Yes, So I did the Halloween episode and they asked me what I wanted to be, and I went through all of these different costumes and finally one of my girlfriends was like, he should be Vanessa Aams when she won Miss America. And I was like should I really? And she was like okay, So I love it to know me to know that, and Robin Robin probably has this issue too. So back in when she won. The next morning, my father woke me up and he was like, just Zoe you look like

Miss America. You look just like Miss America Essa Williams. And I was like, dad, what's for practice? What are you talking about? So but then from that day for the next years, everybody thought I was her, asked me was I her? Said you look like her? Related. I've signed autographs because they didn't believe I wasn't her. I've gotten into parties saying I was way. So this is like a major full circle moment. Oh my god, that is funny. And I wanted to I want you to

know I nailed it. No, you sent me to picture and and that you know the episode. I haven't seen an episode yet, but the picture. I was like, Wow, that was spot on spot. Did you send it to your dad? No, because I want him to be surprised. But I loved it. I feel like it's a full circle moment. She was the first black Miss America. She was a bad one, like she took her platform and made a complete and utter career out of it. And you know, we love you, Vanessa. Yes, yeah, I love it.

I love it. I think people will love it when they see it because that's the picture. I was like, oh, this everything. So it's so when you mentioned your dad watching you on the reel. Um. Hello. I want to shout out my mother, who listens to the podcast, apparently, because she called me the other day and was like, um, I listened to the pie, I watched you on the reel and you did really, really really well. And then I listened to the podcast and it was like this

one episode where you you weren't like you. You weren't talking really um confidently and I need you to talk. I was like, what do you talk about? She was like, you know, but there's other episodes where you do, but there was this one where you didn't and I need you to talk more confidently. And I said, okay, well, thank you for listening. So hi, mom, does this sound confident enough? Probably not. You probably don't like that. Okay,

So don't you just love our parents? Okay, first of all, yes, the parents are kind of like we love y'all with y'all at the worst because it's like y'all y'all's commentary. Sometimes it makes sense and sometimes it's like what are you talking so random? I was like, okay, thank you. I think it's kind of like a compliment. But then you're like, that wasn't a compliment. It's not a compliment. Oh my god, Oh my gosh. Okay, so we got

to get into it all right. First of all, we're so excited because in the state of Maryland or no, in the county, I don't know, no mask. We don't have to wear a mask anymore where. Oh no, that's like, um it's mcgarmer County, Montgomery County. Yes, in mcgarmer County, we no longer indoors. We no longer have to wear a mask because our our cases are so low, which is amazing. So, for instance, I went to the gym this morning. No mask. Yes, that's like a great thing.

But still people need to be careful. Yes, no, no, people definitely do be careful. I saw an article where it said the COVID cases are declining all across you know, the US, UM, which of course is attributed to the vaccine and the mask wearing. But they said, still, it's it's kind of interesting, um, because the US still has the low lower vaccination rate than like some of the other countries. Some of the other countries are like, you know, vaccinated,

and we're like, what is it. Fifty seven percent of the US population is fully vaccinated. Um. So even though our cases are declining, we still have a little ways to go with the vaccination. And I'm happy that the kids, the younger kids now from five to eleven, they're going to approve that pretty soon, I think, for them to get vaccinated. UM so, you know, come on, let's let's let's get a job. Let's get the vaccinated and stop

being a rebellious child. I feel like all of the um jobs that are like, you have to get vaccinated in order for you to have continue to have your job, and the people are like, oh no, I wannt want to do that because they're being told to do it. You're just being like a rebellious right. Yeah, it's like you're you're not doing it because you don't because you don't want someone to tell you that you have to do it. It's like you're trying to prove a point. And then like how many times do I three an

article where it's like, oh, you know, two parents. I saw this article. Reason it was heartbreaking was two parents. They were like forty and forty eight, they have five children, both got of COVID and of course the man you know there, he's the husband as he's dying it's like I wish I had got in the vaccine. Yeah, and it's and it's like, oh my god, like we're almost thereal. But it's so crazy to think, like how long we've been in this pandemic, Like we've been in it over

since mar so so a long time. A year and a half pretty much, Like it is still mind boggling to me that we even got here, Like it's so weird, and it's so weird that like our normal now is like wearing masks and like just it's it's so crazy. But I'm here for the mask on the airplane because it's quite it's tight quarters on the airplane. So oh yeah,

for sure. I mean I actually feel like I'll probably wear masks even, you know, as the pandemic subsides, like because I haven't really had like a cold and all that type of stuff. You know, my kids not until they went back to school did they get strapped throat. But um. But but we still have to be careful because they said there is a new COVID variant called Delta plus. Oh so wait a minute, there's delta and then now there's Delta Delta plus. Yeah. Yeah, so let's

keep our eye out on that. But but I did read or here on CNN that, um they said, it hasn't really spread here yet, it's mostly in the UK. So let's let's hope it. Let's hope it stays over there, y'all going to London. Don't bring that over yes, and I know we have people in the UK who listened. So just wear your mask and stay protected. Stay protected. Okay, Robin, we gotta talk about this woman who was set up

on a blind date. Okay, because these people are crazy, like I do crazy stuff, You do crazy stuff, of course, but wait that damn grazy what happened? Okay? So she was set this woman. I believe she was in Korea or a she's somewhere. Okay, she was set up on a blind date. She brought twenty three of her family members to the restaurant with her for the blind She walked in the door with twenty three people. I don't

know if she walked in with them, but the table. Yes, she walked in with twenty three people on a blind You don't even know this dude, You don't know the dude, and you bring you don't bring your home girl, you bring your whole damn family. What Okay? So then the bill came and so first of all, first of all, we already know when when you know this morning, three people at the table, the bill can be a little hairy,

could be a moment. Okay, we already know that. Looking around, you're looking around like, well, who babe, I just drank water real slow. I had water. I had water, and I asked the way just to bring me some limit and some sugar and I made my own. That's free, y'all. Okay, So the bill comes as thirty and the dude knew, right, I know what were they eating ramen? Anyway? So he was like, at that, I'm not getting stuck with nobody.

The dude sat and dine please. He already knew, he already calculated in his head, and he knew what he was gonna do. Brother said, I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be right back. Did we ever see him? He dipped? Come on now, dip baby dip. He was goals cat gone. He ran out the back door. Okay, wait a minute, so he said, oh, I got one for you. Yes, we're gonna sit here and eat. Yeah, I'm entertained, smooth, and guess what I don't blame him. Okay, this is

a wives tale, just happened. And guess what, that's what you deserve. And I can call her a home that's what you deserve. This is a fable favorite. Okay, there's there's a moral to this story. Know what the moral is. But guess what? That was some time ful and some shenanigans. But let me tell you what's also going to be some time fooler and shenanigans. And I'm here for it. And it's called Porsche's Family Matters portion has her own spin off. Guys, y'all know portions, my girl. I'm so excited.

It's gonna be on Bravo's coming I think airing on Sundays Summer in December. But they the trailer for it dropped, okay, and the trailer was. The trailer was like all kinds of time foolery and shenanigans, and I was here for

every second of it. I can't imagine like having a show like that where you have all these you know, you have this family, these people with all these personalities, and like you were literally like it's one thing for us to film our ensemble show because you know, there's only so much time they can devote to your personal life, like oh my gosh, like and the people look like they came to play. They listen. And and Porshea's sister who we we've seen on Atlanta over the years. It

seems kind of mild manner. She was coming from. Portion like South, you're gonna be wife number fourt how you gonna deal with that? What happened to other three wives? Pa? I mean, I mean that was like serious inquiring minds want to know listen. And it was Dennis for me. Okay, so Dennis talking about, yeah, she always gonna love me.

I don't think you said that. I think I'm making this up, but it was like very much like focused on the fact that maybe there's some unresolved issues between her and Dennis, and um, the overlap of it all. So yeah, I'm here for it is the whole. Your your baby daddy's fionce, baby daddy is filming the show, Your baby daddy, Mama, Your baby daddy mama. She was there too. I can't wait. Who this is gonna be some good stuff. Portion, we are here for anything. I

predict great ratings, get your get your coins. And in meanwhile, and actually, you know, I didn't want to really talk about this again, but like the failin girl is pregnant and engaged to the other guy. Okay, I mean she's making pregnant like she was probably pregnant then. I mean, now I'm like, okay, I think I had said some things before. Now you want to retract, I might want

to retract. Okay, So Porshel put a record. Robin is retracting any commentary that she made negatively business being pregnant with the poor boy and they they engaged, and she's walking around with a ring that she bought for herself all the money that Simon gave her when they got divorced. Yeah, I said it. Yeah, I'm just gonna business. Okay. We minded our business as we move on. So this this story like touched my heart, like in a really big way.

This whole alec ball went and the gun and shooting a crew member. Okay, So so let's just let's just put this in perspective. So you know, Rob and I have been filming our show for six seasons. Our crew is like our are like our people, like they've become our family. Absolutely, there in our lives, there in our houses, they you know, we talked to them constantly seven so it's like, I can't imagine something happening in the moment

on our watch. You're responsible. You're responsible because like Alec Baman will never get over this. So I mean, I'm sure most people know, but Alec Baldman was on the set of a movie that he's producing and he's the lead actor and called rust and he was handed you know, it's like a Western film. So he was handed a gun. I think they were running throughing like a rehearsal of

the scene. He was handed handed a gun. He was told it was a cold gun, which means there's no live ammunition in it, and he's going through his you know, the scene and he fires the gun and a aparently, you know, moments later, the the one of the camera the camera woman said her stomach hurt and then they looked and there was like, you know, she was bleeding out and he also so she was shot and they also hit. I think it was the director. And I'm

just thinking, like, can you I can't imagine. I cannot imagine why were there real bullets in the gun. That is the weirdest thing, because they're not like, why is there live ammunition anywhere on the set, Like that's what. Like I really feel like this is like a murder mystery. Like I don't think this was a straight up accident. It just doesn't seem it's not even logical why there would be bullets like live ammunition on the set because you're not supposed to have it. You're not supposed to

have it. And this woman also can can imagine. So she's a mother, she was just married, um and alcohol ball Win had to go and talk to her husband and be like, yeah, I shot your wife and she's dead. Horrible. But it's like he probably that's like it's crazy because it's like, um reality, Like you know, he's an actor, but it's like real life like kind of took over

in on set, like while he's acting. It's like okay, so then so then what in respectability do we continue to shoot this film or do we scrap the whole project? I think it was scrapping. I think I wonder how long have they been on that set. I don't know. I think I don't. I don't see how anyone, I mean not even Alec Balwin. I don't see how anyone can even continue. How can they show up to that set and you're looking around and you're like, yeah, I think you scrap it. But I really think I almost

you know, there was like conspiracy theories. He said. It was like some you know, Trump Trump people planted it or something. I don't know, but I do feel like it's not just an accident. No, I don't think it's an accident. I think we're gonna get to the bottom of it, and we might not know. They might not tell it, and I wish they had, like I doubt they have like security cameras well, unless they do, because

there's like you know, expensive equipment and stuff. But like that's a horrible so Alec Baldwin, we're frankly, but you know it. I'm sorry. I don't mean to cut you off when you when you mentioned like our camera, our crew, Like I didn't even put it into that perspective, but I did immediately, damn immediately, Like if something happened on while we're filming and god forbid, one of our crew got killed, yeah, I we wouldn't be able to finish this,

finish the whole season. Well, it'd be done, yes, um, And I'm all about the show must go on. But I think the show at that point. Yeah, yeah, but and I hope I would borrowing in and everyone else involved is getting some sort of like you know help, Yes, yes, And her name was Helena, Helena, Helena. We're praying for Helena's family as well. Now on to another note of

y'all out here with too much time on your hands. Okay, So it's a Ray who we love who has a show called Insecure, decided that the boogie um cast, you know, the actor who's playing somebody very booge right and educated and you know, dots her eyes and crosses all of her teas who we love, and the characters played by A. Manda Seals. I love her too, the characters Tiffany, the characters Tiffany, and Tiffany is a member of my sorority

called Alpha Kappa. Alpha. Sore Wars had their painties in a bunch because she had on paraphernalia, said, and I think she had on like the official symbol of our shi off, the shield of Alvaca. Okay, alright, so Sores went into an uproar. How dare they show our shield on Insecure? Who does the MANA Seals think she is? She is not a member of the civility, And I like, did y'all forget she's an actress? Right? How are you better? Sore wroars. I love y'all, but y'all, this not the

fight we're gonna fight. Okay, we got other fights to fight. This, ain't it. I saw that and I was like, okay, So I'm almost like how many people were mad? Because I feel like it was one stupid ass person that tweeted and then all hell broke loose. Yes, and then all hell broke loose because I'm like, most people with the brain are like, yes, this is a show and she's acting right, and like, oh wow, that's so awesome that they represented our survives. But you know what I mean,

like it's so, oh that's great. So for someone to get mad, it's not like you were at the stoplight and the homeless woman you know we go to college is wearing your paraphernalia. This is this is an actress who's portraying a college educated person. Like it's so so I really think this the whole response to it was blown out of proportion because I really think it was

one person that had an issue. I do, but you know what, so you know, I think the the production someone you know involved on the show was like, you know, we have to get permitted. We got permission for that. But then I saw where your national people that was fat which one? Which which one? But the nationals, like National sent a letter or something that said that they

said that was fake. I have to do my due diligence because anytime something comes down from the national headquarters like that, I do get a personal email, and I can't remember if I got one, but um, I am gonna say that typically yes, And and I know this. I'm speaking for it from experience because I know from real house bands Potomac, if I wear or something that says a k a um, they're gonna blurred or something

that I think we've gotten away with it. But like I've never worn like the official UM shield or I mean crest or whatever, the official ivy I've never worn. And then people are like, oh, well, Spike Lee, Um, you know when he did school days, it was like

these fake sororities and fraternities. Spike Lee couldn't get no approval, okay, but Spike was just excited he had a day a movie, Like what so I just I really feel like a it's it's an honor when and we are imagine the people that are watching Insecure who don't know anything about black maternities and sororities, and the eyeballs on us like that's I think, great, not something that we should be complaining about, right, And it's not like I mean, I

didn't see the episode, but it's not like she was acting a fool. No, she's she's not like a hall on the street. She's not a criminal. She's not she's not what I'm thinking, Okay, she's just so. I remember one time when um, I think it was season two, I have a ring. I'm so, I'm a member of another sorority, Dalta Sigma Data, and I have a ring with the symbols on it a ring okay, And on the show I wore it filmed scene I wore and

I was drinking a glass of champagne. And one of my sore wars like literally messaged me like, oh no, you're wearing symbols and you're drinking on TV. That's not alloud. And I'm like what I'm like, okay, Like let's not go too far with it. Like the drinking thing is like, no, you don't. You can't be like getting. It's not respectful to be getting like wasted. Right, I can't drink a glass of champagne. Yes you can, Oh my gosh, so so yes, Well, we have respect for our sorority. We

you know, we honor and value. It's it's importance and significance. It's like, come come on, y'all, come on, sorebars, calm down, get your panties out of a bunch, and we're moving on in Jesus name, Okay, so can we put your pinkies up y'all? Yeah, and be proud and and a man's the seals, Um playing Tiffany, you did a very good job. We're moving on. So Um, the People's Choice Awards nominations came out, and um, the Real Housewives of Atlanta was nominated. We're excited for them. And I think

Candy Burrst was nominated individually for a reality star. We're excited for Candy. But um, choice, People's Choice. I mean, we love you down. How lots longer do we have to be around and be ignored? I'm sick of being ignored. I mean that's gonna be Season twelve, Season twel we gotta get to season twelve. I mean, we've had some some monumental seasons. People's choice, like, what is what is the criteria? Is there a voting system? Because I can get all my people that I know to get the

voting for us. Okay, I need to know what is the process. That is funny, I missed that. I mean, but I mean you were think like, yes, how long does it take? How long does it take? Okay? So people's choice do better, people's choice do better? Okay, that's it. I'm I'm I've said off. I had to say about that. Now I do want to shout out Magda Stallion, and

I do. I do want to know, okay because last year we had the spicy chicken sandwich from fip Eyes now right, and everybody went crazy and was standing in line. And now we got a Magda Stallion chicken something situation with some hottie sauce. I want some hottie sauce. Yes, I do. Okay, So if you see me in line of Popeyes, just know I'm going to get some hottie sauce. What is what is hottie sauce? Do we know what it's? It's it's a. It's what does it taste like? Like? What?

That's what we're gonna find out. But it's her, So it's a mystery sauce. Well, I mean it's the Megan. I mean if you go there like, oh, what Sasha can a barbecue ranch, sweet honey muster like not as a hottie? What the hell does that taste like? It tastes like a hotie? I don't know where we go. We're gonna find out. Actually, Carly, we're gonna give Carly a job and she's gonna to be to get us some hottie sauce. So Megan gets a sauce. Not no, she got a whole meal from what it's like a

meal and you get a hottie sauce with it. Yeah, that it comes with the hottie sauce. Yeah, I want some hottie sauce. I dare you? Because I don't think that you eat Popeye's. Well, my dual, my children, I want that. You know, my children's go to its Chick fil A and occasionally because they do like the frod chicken sand Yes, we we might end up at a Popeye's or I'll be honest, there's not really one like

really around my house. But I'm just saying, now that Meg has the hottie sauce, we got to support and get the hottie sauce. Okay, Okay, Robert, We've got to talk about some real things out here in these streets because we have put a a question to the people, and the question was because you know, okay, let's be clear, it's October, guys, and about five more minutes it's gonna

be November. So you know what that means Thanksgiving and families come together for Thanksgiving, and we still in our had messed up about things that happened Thanksgiving dinner, like last year and the year before that and year before that, like when the family gets together, some some not sense. So we asked, we put the question out to the people, do you have crazy family drop? And y'all answered that day of question WHOA Okay? I think okay, So I

think we should keep everyone's name anonymous. UM, and I want to start off by saying, to to everyone who shared, thank you so much for sharing. UM. You know a lot of your stories are indeed crazy full of drama. UM, you know a lot of them. I felt very you know a lot of sympathy for you and your family and what you're going through. And so I just want to you know, say, you know, I'm whatever it is that y'all are going through. I'm so sorry that you know,

you're you have these experiences. Um. And I also want to thank everyone for sharing so that we can share because a lot of our listeners, you know, I think one of the great things about you know, us being on the show or even the podcast is like we share stuff with people to make them understand that like, Okay, I'm you know, I'm okay, I'm normal, because there's other people out here who are experiencing drama and trauma and you know, have crazy things going on in their life.

So you know, sharing these stories is a way for everyone to know like you're not alone. Everybody you know has something going on, and so you know, it's just a matter of supporting one another, showing empathy and support and um, you know, and and hopefully people don't have to like struggle alone or by themselves. Agree, Agree, agreed. Let's see, this was actually kind of funny, y'all. I'm

sorry I was laughing when I read it. Okay, So the question is, do you have any crazy family drama and this this particular person wrote back and said, my uncle got deported. His American wife had the choice to allow him to come back for the second children who is this person's cousin, and instead of instead decided to divorce him. So that meant he had to wait ten years to apply to come back, but had the nerve to ask his sister for child support money. Talk about shady, Okay,

now this is funny to be okay. So in other words, she was like, you know what, um, I don't want you around no more. So I'm gonna call the I n S is that what it's called. I'm gonna call Homeland Security and tell you are not for ISIS. I'm gonna call Isis Ice. I'm gonna call Ice. I would call the people. And I'm a loot to know that she ain't supposed to be in this country because you are my nerves. That's what you are, my nerves and

got her husband deported. I divorce you, sir. Now let's tell you somebody a woman scorned you better leave alone. She will jack you up. Oh my gosh, okay, this is crazy. My parents switched spouses and married their exes. X what Okay, wait, okay, how does that work? So I guess both of the parents had exes and then oh wait, and and married there. So like you would you would go date Jamal and I would go date wine. No,

we would know that's not right. Alright, alright, okay, we trying to figure it out, trying to figure out it's whatever? Does it sound crazy as hell? Okay? So your parents exes, my parents switched spouses and married their exes X. Okay, so if I had okay, if my parents were previously married, right, but they divorced and they married each other. Okay. So let's say Jane and Bob and Mary and Bill. Right, So Jane and Bob were married, and then Marry and

Bill were married right. Oh my god, it's so confusing already. And then those people divorced okay, and then Bob and Mary got married. O. And then they divorced, and then Mary and Bill and Jane and Bob got I don't know, nice giving us castle? Okay? Crazy? Okay? All right? So I got one. I got one. So confusing. This one says, my sister has been divorced three times, she's ready to get married for the fourth and she's and she said she couldn't go to the to the this fourth marriage. Okay,

she's mad, she said, it's mad. I'm not going. I mean, you can only go to so many before you realize all they really wanted was a ninja air frying. So I sent a present at R s v P that I would not be there, And now she's salty sent a present. She's lucky I didn't send my future brother in law a divorce attorney card. But she's mad at the new air fryer. Now that it's funny to me,

Oh my gosh, that's crazy. That's like having multiple baby showers, right, you know, on your fourth wedding, Like come on, now, come on, you should really just go to the dag On Courthouse. What kind of wedding was it? That's crazy. Listen, listen, this is this is my thing. You can. You can. I'm gonna come to your second wedding, like if I went to your first one, I'm gonna second. I ain't going to your third wedding. Okay, you cannot get married

three times and I'm attending this nonsense. Let me tell you something. This is this is a true story. One of my girlfriends she'll remain nameless. You know who she is. Um. She got married and her mother gave them the toast at the reception to the new her new son in law. She got divorced. Second wedding, the mother gave the same damn to the new husband. I remember that thing. It

was berbato. It was berbato. I don't believe it. And I said to another girl who was next to me, who also experienced both of these weddings, I was like, didn she said that ship last, Oh my god? To the first two? Oh my god, it was like shady. That was the beginning of my shadiness. I'm lying, I've been shading for a long time. Okay, that is hilarious. Yeah. No, I'm definitely not going to a fourth wedding, so she

just gonna be mad. I'm probably not sending a gift either. No, no, but a Ninja air friar is nice, by the way, But how many how how many courts? Was it? Don't now? Now Robin being shady? Now Robin's being shady? Okay, wait, back, got another one. This one said, um, My eighteen year old cousin from Mexico came to visit her godparents earlier this year. Long story short, she is now daging her

god dad. She took her god mama's husband. What I saw another story like that just recently, not not what family members from Mexico coming in town, splitting up families. Now this is but dating your godfather. So this is so crazy. I just saw a story. Um, they seemed very southern. It was an eighteen year old that married

her sixty one year old godfather. That's terrible. Yes, and the godfather they and then somehow it got media attention or Instagram attention, and they keep going on Instagram and making all these videos and stuff. And the guyfather was like, um, all these little girls hating all my wife. And then the eighteen year old was like, I mean I don't want to take these young boys. They can't do anything

for me. And then the girl's mother it was just the whole man, what what race of these people take care? I don't want to. I'm gonna move on. We love everyone. I got right mate? Wait minute, you got one? Yes? Yes, yes, yes, So I mean this is crazy. I've got an older sister that's so messed up. She tried to get my parents divorced. My little sister, and I will never forget it. That is so sad, that's very sad. That's like why

that's so weird. I mean that, that's definitely something that would break up a family, you know, like that, that's like you if that happened in my family. Yeah, I'm not forgiving you for that. No, no crazy family, Joma. Okay, this is a good one. So my grandma passed out because I told her that I'm gay, and she started screaming, crying it passed out, and I laughed because the way she dropped to the floor. Okay, guys, let's be clear, like anyone over the age of eight, don't spring on him.

That's your gay, Like, just let him be, just let up, just just let it go to the grave. Just let it go to the grave, because I can't. Lord only knows how they're gonna handle it, and they're a little hards especially if you know, like, Okay, Grandma, I gonna take this, well right, Just just let grandma. Just just let her live the rest of her life, you know,

in her stubbornness. Yes, oh good, oh my gosh. Okay, So this one, I walked in on my mom and someone from my own grade making out in my basement room. I had to tell him to get the funk out and then tell my mom. She ruined my reputation. She also said she told you another story about her psycho mom attacking her current boyfriend. The first time she met him. She was wearing his sweatshirt that he gave me and I told her that's awkward, Mom, please take it off.

So she walks up to him says, I heard you want your sweat it back and pulls it off and whips it at him and it is all going on. Why they're trying to eat mash with dados and gravy Thanksgiving? This is terrible. So I had to know. I was like, Okay, how old was your mom? Like how much older was your mom? Like she sounds like she was like twelve years older than you or something, you know what I mean? Like,

why is your mom acting like that? So she says she was twenty four Her mom's twenty four years older than her. She was eighteen when this happened, like she literally oh, she said she would dress way too young for her age. She was good and daisy dukes. She had suffered from an eating disorder since she was fourteen. She's always been a hot mess, but that was like the worst thing she ever did to me. She loved her pills and liquor, so she's always up to no good.

One time she had me drive her and her loser friends to buy coke, but they got cracked instead. That was another thing that went too far from me. It's all trauma and I've processed it, so don't feel bad. Happy. I have these bad ship crazy stories to share or and and this is good because everybody should know that no one is immune or skips drama. We all go through it no matter what. I don't can how you know you look at people's families and you think they're perfect.

They're not. But also like people before you have kids, oh my god, just make sure that you're like fit to raise a kid, that you you know that you can be a good example for your child, because this type of stuff, it creates lifetime trauma, you know, Like I just I feel like as a as an adult, my responsibility to my kids is to make sure that I don't do something to them or you know, create a scenario for them that's going up negatively affect them

for the rest of their life. And and before you have kids, to make sure that um, the person that you're having the kids with, family you want to eat with, arrested your life or have the potential to have to break bread with them instead of the table with them, deal with how they chew on their food, like all of that, and you gotta weigh all of those things. Um, and but the good news is that you know, we're

all in this thing together. No matter whether your family drama is I have to go drive my mama to buy cocaine or or um, somebody came from Mexico and stole my husband likes. You know, it varies, but we all have drama. Now. I do want to read a couple of things. One, I want to remind you guys to write reviews, Oh yeah about this podcast because um, that's important to people. And review please important because it'll

like more eyeboats will see it. So if we have like, the more reviews we have, the better ratings we have, more people will see it and then more people will listen to it. So please make sure you review reasonably. Shade okay, And I do want to end my my side of of this drama with something actually kind of nice because Batty her name is Batty. Yes, I'm saying your name, b j B. She said, I'm gonna read

it just out. I haven't always liked you, but I will say this episode, I don't know what episode she watched made me see you in a different light. And I respect your vulnerability and I understand you much more now. I guess it was like seeing myself in the mirror. Even though you don't know me, I still feel you deserve an apology for my judgment on you. So what I'm gonna say to um, B j B is I appreciate your apology, but girl, keep your judgment to yourself.

I appreciate you, but you know what it takes. It takes a good person to admit, okay, I was wrong, or an apology, you know what I mean, Because I think some people can say, you know, I um assume things, or I jumped the glunt gun or whatever. So it takes a big person to come out and say, you know what, I was on the bandwagon and I was hating right. But but does this make it this okay?

That you You've probably written I don't know a thousand comments to say that I'm horrible, but you give one that says I'm sorry, and I was supposed to be like, whoo, no, b j B. I appreciate you, and uh, it's all good. You know, we're just here to entertain and to make you guys see that we are. We are beyond relatable. Our story is your story. And if you can look in the mirror, if you can look at my story, and then you look in the mirror and see yourself,

and that's a good thing. I've done my job absolutely. And you know, our stories aren't like our stories are not going to be relatable to one person, but there might be a sliver of something where you're like I can relate to that, and they can appreciate that. Yes, yes, yes, yes, all right, well I think that's our episode, rob This

is always a pleasure. We do appreciate you listening and never forget either live your life reasonable or shady by all right, By reasonably Shady is a production of the Black Affect podcast Network.
