Episode description

I’m so excited to welcome the brilliant Tamu Thomas back to the podcast today!

Tamu is an emotional well-being coach trained in somatic coaching, as well as a writer, workshop facilitator, podcaster and Non-Linear Movement practitioner, whose work helps women build an intimate, healthy relationship with themselves so they can make powerful choices about how they live, love and work.

On top of that, Tamu and I are each other’s money hype people on the day-to-day, which is one of the reasons we wanted to bring you some of our most frequent WhatsApp chat topics around how to support your clients and yourself, ethical sales, and becoming unashamed about making big money.

Tune in for insights on

  • The many factors that can affect the dynamics of group programs and communities
  • The impossibility of creating a fully “safe space”, and alternatives that serve your clients even better.
  • How to move past the conditioning that convinces us that it’s ethical to charge less and step into your power.

QUOTES

“It's impossible to create a safe space completely. I think it is much more honest, realistic, and we can create much more mature agreements and boundaries if we talk about brave spaces. I hold a space where people can be brave.”

“Boundaries mean that I can have empathy for you and still be in my power, still be in my majesty. When I'm submerged by the weight of the world, I can't be powerful.”

“Your capacity is not the same as your capability. I'm constantly stretching myself to my capability and not honouring my capacity.”

“There is a very fine line between what people perceive to be ethical and what people perceive to be people pleasing. People are doing these things so that people say you are a good person.”

“Making big money means that it's better for all of us. We can make more empowered choices and because of the relationship we have with money, this is just how it is. Many of us feel way more empowered when we're making more money because we have more access to things. Because we are living a better quality of life.”
