When our enemies mount the attack, this psalm is our prayer of resolve.

What is it about our enemies that is so bad? Sure, we feel hurt, but is there something bigger than just my own pain?
Psalms like these can be scary, but are good medicine for those in pain.
When what we see ahead is scary, let’s not forget to look above.
It's hard to look difficulties straight in the face and name them out loud.
What hurts more than betrayal by the trusted? How can we cope with this hurt?
Truth is one of the few things in which we can depend. Do not exchange it for something else.
What does God see when he looks down from heaven?
Pulling myself up by my bootstraps is more accurately stepping onto the backs of others.
How did David deal with his sin?
If God is indeed God, what could I ever offer to him?
Who will shepherd you after your life? Whom did you follow while alive?

If we trust in God and his ways, our answers become clear.
The wicked hide in their selfishness, while God is generous in his light.
