Yo, it's a rap right off podcast Wilson's Beat Beat Dot Yo. Man, I missed you, Man, I missed you too. Water We're back two years man, it's been a long time left you. I want to shout out all our supporters. Man, you know they brought us back. Many the man is still there and we're ready to get back to work. Right, let's do it down to a t L right now, people's man, queer bo take off? What's up? So you let us crash your festivities like you like doing photo

shoots and stuff like. Talk about today. Man, it's a big day for confe right yeah, right now? We know what I'm saying. In the process of shooting the album covering, you know, we're getting that going in. It's crazy. We got a couple of scenes and look, dope, how was that for you? Take off the whole shoot what I'm saying, we put it on every time we put it on,

you know what I'm saying. So we got it on, and these ideas we came up with, you know what I'm saying, were aside it absolutely Why is now the right time for I mean, just alum always been in our mind that we wanted to do Um, we actually had it ready like two years ago, but then we just pushed it back for a culture three but just the right time. And you got started as a group, right the polo club, right, sure, Like I said, man him, we used to record since it was fourteen, and it

was something we always wanted to do. We used to pass our CdSe with men take on it like when it was in eighth grade, you know, like I said, it was just one of them, one of them dreams on them back pocket dreams that we all just wanted to do. Let me go back to just you know what I'm saying, like the famous pictures, but it went by since standhem sad the tree, right and just we we just wanted talent shows. Just we was always you

know what I'm saying, doing something. So so my my take on the whole like DNA of it, like you know, Quavo, like he was in the sports a little bit of music, I feel like, correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like take Off like you was like the like the push for the music ship like you was like the energy of like I want to get into music and like let's do it. Yeah, that's all I know, right, What was that right for you, Like why was that?

How did you how did you equaval to like focus because he was doing the sports, the music, all types like and now he was focused to with you know what I'm saying, But it's just you know what I'm saying, just doing it, keep you saying, keep you out of trouble first, you know what I'm saying. But it's just what I like to do. Ain't like you know what I'm saying to them that I'm forced to do, like forced doing. It's like he's just you know it too,

Like he knew every song from talking about him. Yeah, one of them Takeoffs influences because we were viewing as like the karaokes in my room, like you don't be No, it ain't no better in the room. But it feels like it's at Coachell and I'm coming out to closet. I got like a little superstar line up man coming out there. Dog, But does anybody get man when we say take Off might be the strongest rapper out of the me goos? Is that is that anything? You know?

Does anybody catching feelings about that? It's like he's a different DNA in terms of like rapper right in terms of how you approaches things. Definitely, I feel like he's hard. He's definitely hard, you know what I'm saying, all of us the hardest and in some type of shape or form. And like I said, that was his dream, I feel like it was my dream too. But I just feel like my dream was playing sports man, you know, football and basketball until I figured out what specially, we'll get

put up by the police. And he was thirteen years old saying he'll rapping. I used to just laugh at us and ship and I think we were going to go to jail where he always had that dream. And like I said, used to get in trouble for just wrapping theirs front the back, cussing like a mother. What was in form with you so much that you felt like hip hop with your calling? Like what what connected

to you? That was just the way they know I'm saying, the music sounds good the way they look, you know what I'm saying, Uh, I don't know, just something bad music made me feel good. Yeah, it just don't know ran that soul with any artists that particularly connected to you, Like y'all want to be a star like that rapper or that MC or like was anybody you saw as

like an influence. Yeah, little yeah, little weisy, okay more the southern MC's right, Yeah, I don't want to like the technician he said, you wanted to wrap out, make it happen. Get the microphone they lit on the wall, Get a computer. You know what I'm saying. Put the sock over three old time you tell him he can't do something. I'm always somewhere just rigging up something to

make it look good, right on my job. Do you still do you guys still have those early recordings when you were like in the polo club we got you know, we got some of them on his mom and computer computer. Still still got a computer. Were you guys rapping like that? Or like the flows improved the flow coaches got up. You know what I'm saying. We was heavily influence. So you hear something some of the influencing Atlanta influence. And then once we find out on style, it's like it

was it was off to the racist right. Yeah what I'm saying. You know, we used to seeing you guys is a trio. Now it's a duo. Like what's the creative process? Like you know, working together in tandem we're bouncing off each other like I mean, it's just the chemistry they've been in some day once, so we're just you know, we easily bounce off ms saying it was recording the same um. We always normally record by our said, because we're so crazy on just dropping new ship on

each other. And so when you go out and record by yourself, I can't wait to see coming back and just bring some ships. And that's how you're doing impress each other sometimes and then time to go in. So it's just and ain't never know crazy feeling on. Like I feel like we made the best music of course in the studio together because like even if we say, like a bad bar barter don't work, we'll say don't

work or change it up and do something. But as far as like sending the studio recording, I can't wait to bring some new music to take on because you want to impress each other, right, like the energy, yeah yeah, yeah, that's energy. Like even back when I used to call you, when I used to be doing something, I called you over the phone with you or something. For sure, I don't want to wait till I get to him. I just can't wait. So I had to call him, so

jump ahead. I remember with even Avalanche, like I remember when that came out, which was dope because you guys flipped the pop was the Rolling Stone, which is a classic takeoff verse. I think I had a different energy and I remember I ripped it on Twitter and like that got like a million follows, like it was a million likes out the gate. It's just like, you know what I'm saying, Like do you feel like when you're doing stuff like that, you're trying to impress your brothers?

Like my verses like I'm in a pocket and ship, yeah we're going there. I mean, yeah, of course, I mean we're going there. It's like competition, friendly competition. If I do here verse, you know what I'm going there. It's like, you know what I'm saying to do what I do. But I'm just I got because when you like a freestyle, freestyle like remember like you know Kevin Durant, like your style, your your verse, but like when you watched the via, like who did who did Kevin Durant

take off that guy with that verse? No, but when you watch when you guys do freestyles, like like you know, the old school hip hop treacherous, free, like that type of ship. They'd have routines where they play off each other, Like what makes you guys unique? What all said? It's like how you can like build off each other with rhymes and the whole rhythm of how you do things, Like you think this came from repetition of how you was working together in the band or and building that. Yeah,

more definitely came from recording. You know what I'm saying. If we had a shipped verse would tell each other the verse ain't nothing, No, we're just deleted or come back and your verse gone right? So can I ask you respectfully? Because it became a whole moment of bad and bochs, like was it something about bad? Why you don't want to wrap on that beat? Like why wasn't you on that song when it came out? Ultimately, Yeah, I just think I was just trying to get something out.

Was actually piste off because we have no music out. I think like a couple of months before that whole little wave and what was going through the litigation with three hundreds, So we ended up leaking. We ended up leaking Bad and Bouge on Soundclub first. You know what I'm saying, Ship, I won't even to be on it. It was gonna be. It was gonna be Idea. I had to do my verse like on some quick fast and a rush Ship. So just like everybody running to

the song and trying to get it done right. Yeah, but I was handing my tanner like that's only you and take on that one. Yeah, that was just like we did because he was going away jail. Yeah, you don't realize that, like, and I think that was the key thing because I thought when people were starting to doubt me, goes like you came with that fight Night and your hook and you're a friend with that, Like that was a whole different energy like that, just like,

oh Ship, like these guys crazy on the hook? What was his on that you never remember putting together? Fight Night? He was in the studio downstairs in the basement at the house, and that was the first little migo matching what we was on. Noisy, I ain't got in trouble by that ship. Yeah, so we did. We were down there recording and we were just trying to come up

with something crazy with the beat. We be going through beat so that the beat had to come on and take our start with Bronist to the Love to the Right, it was. It was that how it happened. That's exactly I moved downstairs in the basement. We're trying to figure out how to hear who's gonna do something with it? Be a matter of fact, I think I think I wanted then cut that cut quite night and I said, hell, no, I don't sound right with my voice. You need to

say it. That what it was. He want crazy? That what it was, But you go crazy, sake, That's exactly what it was. You know, I'm always going crazy, So beat the beat proud. I know I had to come with it. Absolutely. You guys are coming with it, you know, with these singles, and obviously I'm confused. Seems like a passion project that you guys have for a long time. And obviously Officer it's not, you know, part of this situation, but like what those conversations difficult to happen with him

when you guys decided to do this. Not too much really, because at the end of the day, once we want to do two records, if you want to do a record with Man take regardless of anything going on or not, we're gonna still put it out. Really, let's together, not why you decided to drop Hotel Lobby is the first single um that wasn't again another record that we was gonna put out. Can we have another Sitteam Passenger five break do take off? Please break that line down for everybody.

We gotta get to that level with you. Wet it down. You just got my minds up. You know what I'm saying. Not debts, you know what I'm saying. It's a private jet, no offense. You know what I'm saying. So when you fly a lot, that's a difference. I'm just telling you. We were tapping other SIT Team passengers that day and it's a G five is not a challenger. It's a difference living your life, living your wraps. Yeah, so I'll just put you down on a game if you didn't

know about the private jet line. I love that record so much, but the only probably so short, like I keep running to get back. You want more, like so far, you want some more? I gotta be up. But quite it felt like you have real fun with the video, the whole fear and loathing in Las Vegas theme, Like what made you decided that just kind of have super like fun with it? We've been definitely inspired by the

feeling Las Vegas. We watched that movie one time in a great space and we have fun watching it, and I think we I thought we should recreate it. Takes it, let's recreate it. And you directed the video too, Yeah, man, keepmotion, man kem motion? Did us versus them? Um record too? You know, we're just trying to you know, we always go crazy with the videos and I'm just trying to shine light on the hunch your films. So we feel like sometimes the hunt your films is not be given

the proper You're in the movie space. You know what I'm saying, something drop and hunt your fan everything and dropped on the camera, on the camera, on the lens, going on, hunt your fans. You did hunt you like active extraying the man. I can't keep you all. See what John Travolta stepping into Robins de nero. I can't keep up with the acting. I can't. I can't keep up what's going on? Can give us a brief breakdown.

What's going on with you? Is like the actor. I'm just trying to keep my hand in all type of bowls. You know, That's all I need. I just need it on their thing. You're working with John Travolta this movie Cash All right, what's your rolling that? Um, I'm just robbing ship, you know, up, holding ship up? You know what I mean? But Anton with a gun, that's it? And what's the water boys? I mean water boys? What's water boys? That's another one. You know they called me

Young Bishop from Juice. You know I'm comorable like taking waters taking everything. You got to pay for my block. You gotta pay for this block. I'm running around, sit up and around all hoods in every hood every time. Yeah, that's me and Robert DeNiro something Robert DeNiro exactly, Rob DeNiro another game from me. Look now right now, I'm actually the plug. You know, Robert DeNiro, he actually working

for me. You know what I'm saying. You know he didn't inform what he the police, so you know what, I got him working for me? Right, So to take? How do you feel want be showing up? Man? Like you just inspire you to step out more like? You know what I'm saying for the show, you know, I mean, I'm gonna watch them for God and everything you do. I'm put him in the move. I got another movie called Take over, you know what I'm starting, and then my boy take over here if they take over, take

coming on over. You know he said't come to a big screen there you right? Also, you never know you're what I'm saying, so you never know what I'm Yeah, shout out quite shot you out, like happy birthday. Take. It's like we say, you like the most quietest, coldest dangerous man on the planet. I think you love that, right, take? Like why why do you love being the most quiet coldest dangerous man on the planet. They don't know what they'respect They treat your respect and I mean, yeah, you

ain't gonna play with you. Not real that I ain't gonna play with your cray They're just going what I'm saying, treat you like you know what I'm saying, treat you're supposed to be treated. Absolutely, you treat you be too friends with people. You treat us with this records man like us versus them. Come on, I'm gonna treat you every time. Not for shure, No, I'm on it. Why was that the next move? And like why was that the next song? And how the Gucci main getting involved?

Like always that's how it came about. What I'm saying, who's them? You know saying whatever? You know that that battle you woke up to, you know what saying you woke up that morning and trying to figure it out and trying to battle it and then know how you're gonna get the money or you're going through something, you're battling with something, get what on? Which is versus them? You know what I mean, battling counsel or something you

can't figure it out? We which is us versus counsel? Hey, you know what I'm saying, you can't get no money? You know what I mean. You're trying to figure it out and you're trying to you know what I mean, you're trying to get your life up or trying to go you know, suicide. No, so we don't do that.

It's us against the world's ups against evil. But why do you think all the success you've had, it's almost like you want to make this for about kind of bowling adversity, Like like is the people out are still fronting or like it's it's still like, you know, levels you still want to get at. Like when you say that what is tru fan If you think you're back against the wall against the other fans. It's us versus

new you know what I'm saying. It's always a versus demo matter what you do, just like it's a lot of great and a lot of you know what I'm saying, a lot of great artists. They always gonna put you up against somebody and saying who does what I'm saying, this person better than what's the that or so and so better that if you're a group, just pers better. It's just since versus you know, it's crazy. It's like, I know you make it clear and it's a fair

argument to say megos is the greatest group. But even if you don't want to say that, well you have to say clearly is that you're like the last greade group, right Like you guys killed the last standard of it, right Like if I'm if I'm in seventy one growing up in the eighties, run the MC is like the the group it ends with the mego's, Like there's never been a great group since you guys, so matter what, you're like the last grade group. Like what does that

mean to you all? To build this sort of like legacy of that standard of what you guys do? You know what I'm saying, we've been doing it for teen years. It's a blessing. You know, it's time to it's time to go even beyond to infinity. You know, trying to go to the moon. You know that was that was the breakthrough. You ever seen a rocket, you know, and just looking at it and as it goes, I'm saying, that breaks those little parts off and then they keep

going in the act, got going straight. We're going past you know what I'm saying. We already took you to Jupiter. Now we're trying to go to the Mars with this ship. I love to quit. You keep drinking. He definitely, I just paid one to go out of space. And you know what I'm saying, look it up. What you do is like, why are you being at every sporting event the planet? I can't keep up with you. Man, I

got a time machine. I'm saying, you'd be every sports fucking thing, like, so I need something like highlights, like what's some of the things you've seen sports wise? It's like like sports witness. You be at every All Star game, every Super Bowl. Yeah, I got like I got like three of mine. Give me the first one got to be when Kobe pulled up on us in um l A and we met. G right, Yes, that's got to be the first one, alright, Kobe history, um the All Star Game when you when you see Lebron and um

is it Yannis or who are you facing off? Things? Lebron and Yannis? And then you see the picture and I'm in the back that one. That one crazy. And then the third moment when there bought ice trade. You know what I'm saying. We set them folks on fire all playoffs and knowledge game. That'shi guy that took them was off and feeling meet Milly had to pay me cash and and stuff, and then Mike room and try to leave me on the jet and then try to give me a ride back to Atlanta. They gotta be crazy.

Oh yeah, they did me dirty and feeling. They almost left me. Did you trying to leave you now? J Bush? But they did try to leave me though. That trade, your boy trade did break us NIXT down to the wrote them down. I wanted there though, I'm glad I wanted to match. I probably got the fighting in there. And they're crazy. On the music front though, guys, you know, we did this really good interview with g Q and

I saw that you said that. You know, we're all growing, but it feel like the world doesn't really know more about you. Like what do we not know about you so far? Um, y'all just we're probably missing just the origin of the family. You know what I'm saying, Um, where it started, where it came from, how we cracked the loudtop open, how we engineer on, how we produce, how we started this jury game, how we started to flow. You know what I'm saying. It's been, it's been, It's

been a ten piece. It's trying to re educate. I feel like every decade, every nine, every years, you gotta you gotta, you gotta re educate people. And the young one is on what's going on? You feel on saying, So that's what we are, that's gonna say. It's interesting you say that because on your debut on Equable Hancho, like the first line you said, one of the first lines you say, like the most influential since you dropped you dude, since that first it was, and we got

to go back to that. We're showing them everything, you know what I'm saying, and taking it back to them from from I think to me. We were talking about it was going back and listen to like your solo record, Takeoff solo record. I feel like it wasn't appreciated enough. When you go back and listen to it, it's like that's joints in there, like Last Memory, Casper, like your joints on there, Like there's there's a lot of heat on there, like we have fun on them on those cellos.

But I think, um, the reason why, I think because we was on tour with Drake the whole time, Yes, and the whole time, especially for mine. I was was on tour and I was doing mine in like hotels across the world globe, nice hotels. Yeah, but you know, I said, just just happen that space. I really, I really really really love my album. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I really love my album, and I'm ready to get your next one. But right now it's time, That's what say.

Because this is how y'all faked us out. You did shooting inside of my crib and you did the joint with a risk of kid, we'll gonna come seat you don't you pick us out? To us about that a little to fake it hopping hitting with the cheat coat, and they thought they you gonna do that, you know, they know trying to tell you, Yeah he was. He was having crypt though at the time, risk kids though we hit the lick though, you tell them you hit that lick on no. No, But I actually like that

we talk about those records. I actually love both of But he was going, don't making you know, but talk about inside my crib, like what happens was the incident? Like what did you go to shoot inside my crib? Man? Meaning I'm saying, don't make no sense because like her shooters or something. Mom say that every time she come around and lay around. You know, back in the day, y'all kind of seen it on the noisey man. We were just everywhere you go, every shelf, every books you've seen,

you know, it was a stick or two. And they say they had no saying and you were crypto risk the kid. Why was that the right thing at that time for you? But we were getting that crypt up. Yeah, shoo and h At that time, you know, Brian had dial he had did you know what I mean? So? And I record and I had said what I said, So I ain't want to you know, I'm any way

too long for that because it's one of them. You know, certain balls you say you can need to be put out right in and there and certain like stuff of sex music as times like it can last long. But I feel like that right there need to be out right there that's lasting long? Is the flow man that these guys have been manipulated imitated over the last ten years, Like how did flow come about? Like who patented it? Like I know what I'm saying. You got to just

be ready for the documentary. M we got a documentary. I don't want time to take Yeah, you know what I was on that part of the documentary. We we're gonna get you cutt get your cut now. You got to just say save me a weekend in the in the calendar, you said one time, even though like the flow has been manipulated and like I said, duplicated. I remember you tweeted once you said comparison as a form of jealousy, like when you heard other rappers using that flow?

Did you feel like that? No, because I never compared. You know what I'm saying, We don't compare. It was flattered when when people first came out loved it. If we came out probably like bitching on some ship like where it was like, hell, it as my as my shop. I don't think the influence has been there. Yeahs like up and common Artist and he the probably ran away from the flow and try to not use it, you know what I'm saying. So we was like, hey, yeah,

we use it. And you see how many kids and how many genres and artists and different people use it, you know what I'm saying. So appreciation is pointing towards this way. That's how you ended up. But where did it come from to you? Guys? Like people say, well, Free six Mafia did this, whatever other people did this, like and you feel like it's way did it connect for you? Guys? I feel like you know, everybody have history repeats itself. Of course I feel like it was

it was just an advanced flow y effect. Yeah, there's something hand kind of like the iPhone one of the iPhone twill. You know. Also the way you executed right, that's what makes it special. It's like exactly. Um. Then on top of that, it was melodies and auto tune were singing. Yeah, was singing with on top of atlets you know, the athletes brought see something different to PETI projecting words, turn and turning, making making Disney trapped friendly.

You know what I'm saying. We have pie, had you whipping up a crop pipe? You had it you you thought you was eating um stirf our chicken and really you was cooking avalanche. I remember you said that you think your skills are getting better? Right? How do you think you've improved as an MC? You know what I'm saying. Every time I get on the mic, I feel like I improved and stand stand in the studio, make you improve? You know, so you stay in the gym and hit

a thousand show. You can't do that. Bust switch them motherfucker's You know? Why do you think the success take didn't like not stop that fire like that? You want more like success come, money come. A lot of people didn't build for that. Then then puts themselves to be better as artists, like why do you think you guys was like still focused, like oh we still gotta keep doing this and get better, and we pray a lot.

I mean, we just I'm saying, we see we're so much, we see the results, and we just we want to be better onsepts. You know what I'm saying we know that is different. You know many different levels that you go. I mean we're just locking the superstide level. And yeah, we travel across the world. We see all type of different money, see all the type of you know what you see all the type of the yachts and big boats and you know du Bui type money, and you

know jay Z money. And when we see stuff like that and make you go, make you go in and still keep you homing. Right with the Carters with that Ape ship, we're talking about talking about that record like that them all like that got to them and then they made a record right that was too hard man, that was a blessing. Yeah, sure, for real, hat cooked it up. That's that's a round. By the time we did stir Fire, Yeah, we wentered there and did like

two three records. You know, for real, ain't gonna let none go to waste. He called and said, Yo be and Jake gott of his own and ship. I knew it was on right. I ain't had to say no more. Get out the way it happened, watch you but take off. I wanted to go back a little bit. Um talk to me about like those early days, right, like when he was locked up in the studio with fourteen seventy nine, Like, what was it times like for you during those during that ever, when I was in the studio five thirty,

what recorder said? Yeah, I mean I'll be on the computer on the internet those times, you know, we have no my boy. What I'm saying the game and we have him. Yet when those day when nobody asked you felished? So I gonna like where it was sound? What get what we get to be farm? But yeah, well am I go on YouTube? That's like a type beat to type. Yeah, I'm saying downloaders there and we record what's it was? What it was? M Yeah, what are you talking about? Before?

You said before Fortune said remember just the time when I was cool appear right? Yeah, because the room this lyrical on I remember you said you was locked up in the studio of fourteen seventy nine, and I was like, okay, I just wanted to take you back to that particular time. What was it light for you? Put up the beat? Yeah, go in. But you mentioned DJ Dural. I feel like he's a secret weapon to the mego success right, like he helped copivate that sound. Talk about how his influencing

importance has been with you guys. You gotta him. I'm saying he has James come up with what I'm saying. How you think you might not understand you say called Jans crazy. You might not understand it, but you know since how you come up with the ideas just how men and him record and what I'm saying, like this only person I like to record with really yeah, how we just chemistry? Like he understand me. I can give

him a certain look. I mean I might even ask him shot I might have, like when I I might come up with like three foot bars in my head. I'm gonna ask him like, was one you know what I'm say. I'm gonna say, like to you know what I'm saying two or three? D Let me know it's one You're like, I might be feeling like I lean almost when I like the most, but he'll be like, yeah, that's one right there. You know I want you be like, yeah, I just want to say that picture of a dude. Yeah,

come in like that. But just the trust I trusted me feel him my work. You're gonna let me know what it is. Keep it hunt. What was he like the person you went to for like one of your solo records on your project None of Me, like that was real vulnerable and transparent. Yeah, you damned that did my whole man. I wasn't saying that record none none to me. I felt like he really was really vulnerable and transparent on that particular record, like was some like

was it real or was it? Yeah? I was right there with me, not the real right there with me for that for sure, spending money, but it's nothing. I mean, yeah, now you're right there with him for that one. I think I was in l A two when I did that. Was it hard being that transparent? Because I know you often like a silent person. You talked about like a situation. I just woke up there day and said, I'm just say what's all my check? Let him know because I

picking you. Yeah, I don't know everything, so I'm like Diddy, I'm just opening them them lest something. Do you'd be happing that quay for take to kind of share more and put up stuff out there. Yeah, shipbody need getting get in there. I thought it was interesting you said, like way now you were scared to even step on stage for the first time, right, remember that experience for show you know what I mean, just the first I

mean just you know they're nervous. You were nervous. You know, they're just nervous little and I mean you don't know how just to crop whatever it is big, you don't just you just you don't know the time. You know what I'm saying. You do, but it's like yeah you do. You get an air zion, But it's like I think that's what we're doing. Go away fast, turn to the first one. Fird time you remember that first show, the

first show. It's been so many yeah, yeah, read to my the first show and just like the feeling just first perform, you know, I mean, just like they're nervous. Feeling when you look back at the mego's journey of like to break through, right, like you know Besahi was kind of that thing that broke you nashal right before that was Bandough right, Like BANDA was the first record I guess locally they gave you that, Like what was

that feeling like? And like you take us since that journey of like finally breaking through that you feel like people are listening to what you're doing. Yeah, the band though, it was most definitely our breakthrough record. Yeah, especially for the for the South and for Atlanta, and it was just showing us ship, what we what we're doing actually working.

I think we had tried like two, two or three songs before that it was getting trash and it was getting from working with what it won that like how that bando was we first? Yeah, when we first? Yeah, man, when that ship first came out and the beat and that like that that would that beat For some reason, man, that ship just stuck so hard and everybody wanted to play it back to back to back, and she we was paying the DJ to play back to back to back.

You know what I'm saying. So well, make sure we just had that good relationship with him and then ship that he started out local one day the Nink with justet wrapping up and she was like, where you go? Don't gonna go to the city And I got a gig in the city. Okay, you know that like a dream of New York City too, you know. So we

were like, I bet we're moving with you. So we hit we we follow him, put our money together, make sure we strain him out, had enough to have have a v I P. As you can see like in the videos when you see us coming up, and she was that spread money and made sure they played out something prime, prime time, midnight one of them. Yeah, if you played that ship when the lights come on, you know as you might not have a loud talk. No,

you know what I'm saying. And we stood on that everywhere we went and then like we just created the traction and everybody looking at us. Of course we had some and knife had it all. We kept we kept coming through killing and ship and made noise and that thing you know, I ran and we ran into as they told him, and it was we can't forget about you know, the engine that's been the driving force for the successes QC. Remember on a talk he said, like

QC is the new cash money records right for show. Now, like a lot of artists, you know, hate their label, but you never hear that like with QC. Why do you feel like there's such a good home. I mean, we got family ties and we have ups and downs, but I feel like publicly it ain't never for the outsiders. If we came in the door, closed doors anyway, you know what I'm saying. And that's how I feel like with our family anyway, any family, you know, the group

of us Me Goes, QC. Anything. We just feel like we should just deal with anything, any problems along with us. And I feel like we grow like that and I think we get it off that way. I was gonna say, why P and coach K, like why they're so good label heads ship They're great at what they do, like Yang, you got, you got straight and you got in corporate. You know what you got straight in corporate. It's the

best brandstand right. But I felt like that was a big thing where I felt like maybe you guys weren't good, but then you record, stiled and got things were needed to be Like that's an important step to show the artists that, you know, maybe you can rectified whatever difference is, and and like of course, of course we've grown in at the end of the day, you know what I'm saying. If you have an issue, everybody to get with it.

What's the problem. Sometimes you spill, sometime you don't. You just try your best way to clean it up and make sure you're straight, and make sure we're straight. You mentioned in family like take off. You know, if you listen to Me Goes music, you have a lot of references to your grandmother, like even on us as then you said, you haven't shed a cry, you haven't shed a tis since your grandmother died. And on vacation you said you gotta think Mama, grandma and it helped you,

you know what I mean? Can you talk about like the role that the maternal people and your family have played for you to get where you are? Big role, you know, just you know, I'm saying, just being there, always being made sure you never want from there, you know, just I always know we could come talk to them about anything, and whatever it was. I'm saying, no matter what it was, this was Jenna, right, Okay, that's your grandmother. Okay,

that's my grandma, that's your grandmother. Okay that it really is. They're gonna keep it real funny. Is that why you're we shout out Mama and the libs? Like? Is that like a homage to them and the queens? When Queens got you and que was dope to see you and your mother on the cover of g Q together, How important was that? Yeah? You know what a little mama hunt you man around, ripping in for the game. She

she she had, you know, she put it down. She let us make all that noise, all type of night all over upon it, right up on her room and basement. So you only it's only right that you make sure she's straight and every young nigga noor and make sure their mama good. What do you like to build that thing? Like to go back to the bando and then Visashi and the Drake something on it, Like what's it? Like? That feeling is like, oh, we're really breaking through like

this Meekhos thing. It's like really was crazy. You know it was crazy. I was just thinking though, bro, Like when Drake jumped on it, of course he was. He was crazy huge, but he's as big as what he is now, so like and I was, and and when I think we was what was somewhere on tour he's introducing me to he was introducing us to somebody. He was like, sh I basically growed up with you guys, like we kind of like, yeah, I went crazy. All that started at the same time, you know what I'm saying,

even with his record. You know, his record was going crazy before, but like beside you and then Ship after that, like it was like nothing but up for both of us. And I felt like Ship now that I'm looking back at and I don't like, damn, we did kind of like on some high school classmates. He was like, he was like that came and got the young young. So you know what, that was cool and that's how and that's how I felt like it was. It's funny you

say that though, because take off. I remember you had a lyric you said you can't put a nigger on if you're too famous. But Drake helped you with that. It was gonna lead the way, leave the wave. He was like, you can't put any on to be too famous. I don't think I might say you said you can't put a nigger on if you're too famous. Don lead

the way, leave the way. He wasn't too femtassy, saying saying he was still on the cor and in a real picture of it, it's like because that thing, it's like you look at the telling mom brushmore of who impacted, because you guys look at it as a group. You're not just the same way as like a Drake Kendrick call or whatever, because you're a group. Right Megoes is a defining story of that decade with your emergence of like breaking through exactly. That's the difference. You know that

the division. We need a group maunt worshmore. Let's see what that little hall of fame with greater group all the time. Anybody, there's been no great group since Megos. You know what, I'm right, we've been holding it down close, We've been holding it down like that. Let's say games now you can't leave you close. It was the last standard. But how do you feel with that? Like being like I think it's it's unquestionably looked at as you're the

leader of it, right, the leader of this. We all leaders. We also play for now. We all we all dead ass have our own program. And why do you think it is that artists don't really embrace that, Like it's a lot of it's a lot of like I mean, when you was playing football and coach with the see on you asked for you know what I'm saying, you earned it, you know, so whatever whatever the people you know what I'm saying, like they say, you know, artists and I'm the front man or whatever. I take that.

I take the front man. But we all we all make our own decisions like like, gentlemen, yeah, what's the sound of this project? Gonna feel like, talk about this good feel what we're about to get. We're about to get about to get this real idea, raw, uncut. What just like back to the back to the essence, you know what I'm saying, Back to the oars, back to the real screaming shots. You know that I came in on that Leu's versus them. It's about blood, you know

what I'm saying. It's about us together, about us coming together, bringing it back home to the family. That what I see. You know, they're infinity. It's forever. You know what I'm saying. We've been in there for a decade and it's time. You know what I'm saying. Does it feel like a decade? Do you feel like ten years now? I don't feel like we're just getting started. I feel like my first year.

I'm jumping all the parts as a freshman. Even like on Culture three, you produce Avalanche, Like, do you plan to producing more on this project? I'm clicking, you know, me and my boy Derail, me and Murder, me and Buddha. You know what I'm saying. Then my main top three producers I felt were heavy that you know, I put hands on keys. You know what I'm saying you look really low with the production, like people don't know unless read the credits, Like, yeah, just do it for me,

you know what, I do it for us. You know what I'm saying, When I need that salt, that that's secret salt. That's the cheat code for the family. I've been doing this ship though, I've been making beats in ninth grade, eight grade. Yeah, I saw that once what you said, like real niggas don't need credit, like you think that still applies and this day and for shure, you know what I'm saying, give me my credit on

their time. And I feel like once you add them, pick up out the marrow's don't have a basket for you know that's all? What is credit? Like? What does that look like to you? Is it just money? Is it troph definitely? Paper? Okay money. You can't get no credit credit? You know what I'm saying, Get some credit? Said straightening. Yeah, I'm trying to tell you, yeah, you're not getting no straight straight Did you really have to

give you your teacher some straighten and take off? Only the way you say you talked about how you met ran a teer teacher you feel me? Was that story you come on, man, I ran the joy. Talk about it because you said they ran into a faster joy. He saw a teacher that said he wasn't gonna like amount to nothing. What was that experience like for you? M I could have said something else, but you know, just so you saw him like a Chick fil a and was like, yo, Mr Little McDonald picking the miller

double cheat burger. I remember like you, yes da picking me a double cheat burger. No pigle, No, ain't like you know the order. So he was like, right, how did you next to you? Not walked? Then he got it it was lying too long. I had to walk in. Well. Then I seen him in a line, okay, and he knew who you were, like whatever was this like maybe platinum, yeah, superlat super platinum, and you said congratulations or he said it to you or you said it to him. I

told because he told me. I said, I ain't what I said in the version I don't remember exactly said, so I ain't got no um and they got no bad word for him what I said, So I I forget that. I'll just remember your second what he wants me to do when I'm in the position I made it. Yeah, so I ain't tell him that, greaty, Why why would I do that when I'm in the position I made it right, Ain't no point of me doing that. So I'm gonna keep it playing right and just hey, hello,

remember me, remember yea quit? Do you love when like because obviously it takes a quiet storm? Do you love when he steps out one and shows more like man a little bit? Right? Yeah? Many, little dude, y'all know? Man, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, is that how he's always been from day one? Like he's more like he seems like you're more like actually verdy, he's gonna introverted like you. Man. You told me quiet man, man say

he quiet man, Man, you don't talk too much. Man, they just man dead man, man get back man, still blow up on you, man, say do you love that you've been able to be successful and still be that way, like you know, on your own terms? Right? Yeah, it's a blessing, I thank god, Yeah it is. But you also got people recognizing your skills like you was on the Little Wayne project on Funeral being that you How important was that well impactful for you to be on

that project? Oh tune, that was Buckeless. You know what I told you growing up. You know what I'm saying, watching listen to him. I want to be I mean, like the type of what I'm saying, rapper one of them. Then I mean, order just want to be a type of rapp accomplished. You know what I'm saying, streaming things he did and just to be you know what I'm saying, do that be on them? And then it's my brother

and I'm saying, like my red red like Colin. You know I mean, I'm saying, we talked, So that's awesome. Remember that, Jim Jones, we set the trends, set the trends that that hook off and then Way was on the remix and yeah, seeing that energy between you all was dope. Give one twenty million camp. Yes, do you think about that like this is a hook or you just be writing it don't matter, Like no, I don't. I just be right, like I might just start wrapping.

You're going, you're just going in. You like to change Mamber that He was like, jump on the two, change the good drink and drink you're a good drink too. Yeah. But when Travis, like I feel like you said that birds trapped buying me Night album after that. Yeah, I came after Yeah, I name a burden not you know that? Yeah this ain't Yeah, dog do we have a title for this project. It's coming in September. That's all I got for y'all. You'll be having some heavy features. Got

justin Bieber, You had Madonna. You know, I got some good friendships, you know, good relationship. You know with the collid ship that's about California second before we get out of here, like we just did on that God. Yeah, you talk about that like people don't fully understand what Kalid does with Calida is like I see, who come trying my boy cat Like he don't come with that vision. You know what I'm saying, My boy cattle having vision

production beats. You know exactly how he wanted. All you gotta do is just put your drip and your whole blessing on it. In his own He's gonna take it to the moment you're looking at. You know, I had to do a last minute for that. God did because God did everything. We did. Everything we got going on God. I only put it on after God made it. You know what I'm saying. You got a lot of hits with this Justin Bieber. This guy not even humanized man, that's my boy, JB has JB is actually a human,

real person, like talk to us. You know I'm saying, we all alien. You know what I'm saying. We all from you know the alpha verse. You know what I'm saying, we all from the Alpha her. We all come from you know, a spot that we you know, were clicked to the music and to the people where we stretched out. So I feel like he's just another just crazy extra Tradi will come through with just different type of music, no how to play, a good time to do everything.

And we had a relationship, Si yo, piano everything. We had a relationships in two thousand fourteen, we were feeling good and drinking and everything. And since then you just still be my buddy. What's your buddy? Ship pole muddy And before we got here, we gotta give congratulations finished high school. Yeah back go getting the plum and Jeff for the touch you up? Why was that in point for you? You're ready very important, you know what I'm saying.

For the old heads and feel like they dropped out like me and then I want to go back because they felt like it was lame or not cool. You know, you can still go back and get your paperwork so you can do what you gotta do. You don't have to be slow. Okay. Also, another little birdie told me that Adidas. You're working with Adidas and some capacity. Um, I gotta deal with Adidas with my AU team Hunt Team Huncho. Ay. You you know what I'm saying. Were having a U team team Hunt you. They're going crazy

right now. And we have seven on seven team also, yes, seven on seven football team Huncho elite. You know what I'm saying. You know, hunt your love of kids, we got we got, we got we We got a lot of things going on in the sports world, you know, just trying to raise them right so they staut of Truman have a good celebrity behind them. You know, back in the day, we had no celebrity pushing us and nobody come to the hood and just touched the kids with all this talent. So we just gotta be there

and it's all of us. You know, when they say hunt you, that mean we also hunt you. You know it ain't jet me. You know it takes takeing come through coach Team Hunt seven and semi lead. That coach take when you see him, y'all, nigga, that coach take you feeling respected? Everything is on. So you treated, I'm gonna be the first billionaire out of my class. You penned it? What did that mean? You penn it on top because listen, I pin it because I meant it. So get So what's that we get out of here?
