Three recent filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office indicate Walmart is getting deeper into the metaverse. It plans to create its own cryptocurrency and to offer digital versions of its products via NFTs. Does this signal broader consumer adoption of digital assets and virtual experiences?
