Centuries ago some great innovator came up with punching a hole through fried dough. These dough balls eventually became the familiar ring shape we know today as donuts! Donuts have remained popular not only for it's versatility, coming in all sorts of flavours and sizes, but also for being a bit of a cultural icon in the comfort food world.
