[SPEAKER_00]: Rams fans welcome in on this edition of Rams Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: We dig into the Rams offensive roster plus Nova Union, but as a trade still on the way and later the Rams have a quarterback battle heads up. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's rock. [SPEAKER_00]: This is Ram Showcase with your host. [SPEAKER_00]: Sheriff Joe Bags. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome into it. [SPEAKER_00]: Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: My name is Sheriff Joe Bags. [SPEAKER_00]: At Sheriff Joe Bags.
[SPEAKER_00]: At Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: That's where you follow along on socials. [SPEAKER_00]: RamShowcase.com has well. [SPEAKER_00]: We've also done it in the past before. [SPEAKER_00]: We had Derek Poppin and just an outlet. [SPEAKER_00]: We wanted an outlet to let some of his Ram's thoughts unfold. [SPEAKER_00]: RamShowcase.com is where we like that happening. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a really awesome Aaron Donald peas. [SPEAKER_00]: That is up on the website.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a trippy from there. [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Definitely be sure to check that out. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you have some of those thoughts you're trying to unleash onto the world as well, well do it dude. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a good time. [SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes I know I started RamShowcase because I had like too much, too much ram stuff bouncing around on my head all the time. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have anything where to put it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So lucky you get that stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: We do have a decent amount to get into tonight. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll hit the news here shortly. [SPEAKER_00]: Also some really solid fan cases that we will dive into. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's go ahead and begin here with a bit of an offensive breakdown.
[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm doing here is we're just kind of going over the roster and then I guess just some some expectations on on each position grouping here and what we're kind of looking at here. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll go and start of course with quarterback position quarterback, Matthew Stafford. [SPEAKER_00]: Jimmy Garoppolo stats and Bennett and newly added dresser win are making making up the the arms of the group, but not really a lot to analyze here.
[SPEAKER_00]: Stafford is the quarterback. [SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be the quarterback of the LA Rams barring something tragic, which is definitely not anything that we're hoping for. [SPEAKER_00]: Bad things happen. [SPEAKER_00]: This is football. [SPEAKER_00]: It's aggressive sport. [SPEAKER_00]: It's violent sport. [SPEAKER_00]: So, so things can happen, but we have some decent depth here as well.
[SPEAKER_00]: Jimmy Garoppolo, Steady B, Steatt Benatar, and Dressor Win, Baby, that is the grouping right now. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, as we head into July time, officially, and we'll be getting into training camp here soon. [SPEAKER_00]: It is nice to have someone I will say on the bench who has as much experience as a Jimmy Garoppolo. [SPEAKER_00]: I know not a lot of Rayms fans are big into Jimmy Garoppolo. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not happy he's here.
[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of still hold on to two teams he's played for in the past as a as an emotional tie to Jimmy Garoppolo, but hey, he's a ram now. [SPEAKER_00]: So he's got Joe beg support. [SPEAKER_00]: And again, it's just a really solid person to have as your backup quarterback with that much experience. [SPEAKER_00]: really can't go wrong with that. [SPEAKER_00]: So jimmy garoppolo being on the on the ramps bench. [SPEAKER_00]: Definitely does not hurt my feelings.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of crazy though, because he like literally plays for all the teams that Rams fans despise the most starting with, of course, the Patriots. [SPEAKER_00]: Then you know, we know well from the the forty-nineers and then the Raiders just like teams that Rams fans do not like it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so [SPEAKER_00]: I think that yeah that Jimmy Garoppolo name has been tied to a lot of hatred I think in the past but yo he's been around for a little bit now being the backup to number nine and it's hard to get super upset about that because again [SPEAKER_00]: Stafford's the guy, but at least we have somebody with experience back there and not to say anything bad about Stetson Bennett.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have nothing negative to say about Stetson Bennett put the experience just isn't really there. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that from a standpoint of just looking at the roster looking at possible situations where if we would need a backup to come in [SPEAKER_00]: having a guy that has, you know, played in a super pole has been thrown to the ground by air and dollars in an NFC championship game. [SPEAKER_00]: That kind of experiences invaluable, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_00]: So, so I think that that's good stuff there. [SPEAKER_00]: But he's been around long enough. [SPEAKER_00]: He probably has a really good feel for the offense. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think like in a pinch worst case scenario, I think that McVe could like in a situation where maybe Stetson Bennett was going into a game as the starter. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that McVe [SPEAKER_00]: would be able to create a game plan for stats and Bennett to still get it done.
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, that's largely because stats and Bennett has been around for a few years now and at least has a solid understanding of what's going on in the offense and how this thing is run it. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, how this scheme [SPEAKER_00]: is actually put together. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that it could have been worst case scenario. [SPEAKER_00]: We could absolutely see a steadbenetar throw some rockets man because I mean, let's face it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The arm talent is certainly there. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, we know how his career started. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of those weird issues with, you know, taking some time away from football and all that stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, you have a situation like that in a Ram's team who is willing to keep you around for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that is that's flying colors for stats invented. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of how I see it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Do we want to see stats invented be the starter for seventeen games? [SPEAKER_00]: Probably not. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, but there's got to be a good sign that the team, even with how his career started in the NFL, that the team is still like, no, no, no, we want, we don't, you're here. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, we're good, you're good, and he's making the roster too. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like he's getting, you know, practice squatted and just chilling like he's around.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, [SPEAKER_00]: So that's pretty good stuff there and then also the new addition of dresser win will get into that a little bit later here. [SPEAKER_00]: But dresser win recently added back to the roster. [SPEAKER_00]: I hate to say this term because it feels almost rude and I have no intentions of being rude to dresser win here.
[SPEAKER_00]: it feels very camp armish to me at least a preseason you know situation as we as we do get into the training camp at preseason time we got to keep nine's arm healthy dude so you know having having more arms [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, obviously you got to get in there. [SPEAKER_00]: You got to be loose and stuff like that, but I don't think there's a lot of football that Matthew Stafford still trying to figure out and learn.
[SPEAKER_00]: So when we have more depth in our wide receiver room, which we actually don't have as much this year. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just good to get everybody reps. [SPEAKER_00]: When you have another arm out there, everybody gets more reps, that's a good thing. [SPEAKER_00]: But Matthew Stafford, number nine, we are expecting, of course, to be our quarterback at least for this year. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what the future holds man.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I ain't here to talk about that because we're heading into season, uh, the twenty twenty five NFL season for the Rams and, uh, he's here today. [SPEAKER_00]: And, uh, honestly, that's all I care about, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Be in the present. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what matters now. [SPEAKER_00]: We could talk about Matthew Stafford leaving when Matthew Stafford decides to leave. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of how I feel about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Next up, the roating back spot.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to start with K-Dub, Kyron Williams, Blake, Corom, Jarkwez, Hunter, Ronnie Rivers, and Cody Shrader making up the roster there. [SPEAKER_00]: K-Dub definitely the top tier guy of this grouping. [SPEAKER_00]: He should continue to get the bulk of the reps. [SPEAKER_00]: He is going into in the final year of his contract. [SPEAKER_00]: We have not heard any updates yet on how those conversations are going. [SPEAKER_00]: The last we heard is that they were productive.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were positive. [SPEAKER_00]: We heard that from Sean McVe. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we haven't really heard much since. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's one of those situations where we could get a deal any day. [SPEAKER_00]: It could be happening as I'm talking to you now. [SPEAKER_00]: You could be, you know, watching this podcast after the fact that I'm done and you could be like this, this dummy doesn't even know, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: He already signed easier for ten more years or whatever it happens to be. [SPEAKER_00]: My guess would be three, but either way. [SPEAKER_00]: So K-Dub obviously the guy and I fully anticipate that he is still going to get the majority of the reps. [SPEAKER_00]: I still think he's plus fifty percent of all of our carries. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that we see that for sure.
[SPEAKER_00]: It does feel like the Rams are intentionally trying to make this group who has like just multiple guys who can get it done. [SPEAKER_00]: So it feels like the Rams don't want to have a situation where [SPEAKER_00]: If something happens to Kyron Williams on injury front or anything like that, that they still have guys at their comfortable with. [SPEAKER_00]: And we were seeing that with the depth that is being built right now. [SPEAKER_00]: We know the Blake home is a good player.
[SPEAKER_00]: We feel like Jarque has honours a good player. [SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Rivers out here and then Cody Shrader as well. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these are guys that we can at least, we can at least put in the game and feel like [SPEAKER_00]: The defense can't just only focus on past now. [SPEAKER_00]: Like we can still run the football running backs are good. [SPEAKER_00]: And we've got we've got a stable of them here that are really solid.
[SPEAKER_00]: Blake Corem definitely showed plenty of action last year that he can play ball and the expectations I think going into this year should be that he could improve. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this should always be the expectations from players from year one to year two more experience. [SPEAKER_00]: You get an off season to kind of evaluate yourself. [SPEAKER_00]: We saw Jared versus do that really well. [SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully that translate.
[SPEAKER_00]: But Blake Korm is another one of those guys who, I mean, obviously dealt with the injury, but should be good to go as we begin the season.
[SPEAKER_00]: Jarquets Hunter seems to be a little bit like the the wild card in this situation that we really don't know what the the Rams offense is going to be with a Jarquets Hunter or really what Jarquets Hunter is going to be for the Rams offense is I think the right way to say that but because he's still like that he's still just a wild card [SPEAKER_00]: Is he good at football? [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_00]: We know that. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got eyeballs, dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we know he's a good player, but I think that Coreum and Hunter, they're somewhat right now in my brain, at least on the same level as far as talent and bad assery. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's well, I would say that. [SPEAKER_00]: But I really do expect that at some point during the season, one of them is going to rise up. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it could be either.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't think that just because we had a new flashy fun toy in Jarquets, Hunter, that we should forget the Blake home exists because he absolutely in your two could really pop and
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that could just be an unfortunate situation for Jarquiz Hunter, but that's not necessarily saying that it's going to be bad for Jarquiz Hunter, because you got two dudes who can get it done, and you can never have too many running bags, man, especially running bags who can get it done. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you are cycling those guys out in and out like that, and they can get it done, I just bad news for your defense.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, sorry about your your linebackers ankles rest of the NFL, because we're common form dude, common forum. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, Ronnie Rivers and Cody Schrader really solid depth options. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe lose out just being a numbers game. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that the Rams would need five running backs going to the season. [SPEAKER_00]: Do we keep four possible if we keep four?
[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of tend to think that Ronnie Rivers would be the one that sticks around on top of that, but don't, don't count out Mr Schrader over here, man, because that kid's good to football as well.
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... definitely that's a kind of a battle to watch i would say as we get into training camp in preseason listen for the comments man uh... tell i say this every year sharmic vay is like he does a lot of coach speak a lot of above the neck and stuff like that you know but uh... i think that ultimately he does give us hints on on certain things and he'll unprompted give us a hint in and unless you kind of like watch every thing like i do of like the ramps press conference i know a lot of you do as well but
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're really paying attention to that stuff, you can pick up his little subtle hints. [SPEAKER_00]: Even if it's just a facial expression, he'll got to get really serious on certain things. [SPEAKER_00]: We saw that with the Cooper Cup situation. [SPEAKER_00]: We saw it with Todd Gurley's situation years ago.
[SPEAKER_00]: His face gets really serious and it feels like he knows he's very [SPEAKER_00]: He's thinking about his words very carefully in those situations, but then there's also times where we get a question about just the secondary and he's throwing it in a manual force. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's making it a point to say a certain guy's name. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's a big thing here.
[SPEAKER_00]: I also forgot to write up my Joester Thomas segment, but I've got it here. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk about that. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying that out loud, hopefully I remember if I don't, sorry, I don't know what to tell you. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the steel trap dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing gets in, nothing gets out. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, let's head over to the offensive line. [SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, interesting group in here, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, we'll start with AJ Jackson, Steve Obula, Coleman Shelton Kevin Dotsen, Rob Havenstein, Warren McClendon, Dylan McMahon, David Questenberry, DJ Humphrey's Justin Detic, AJ Arcurie, Bo Limer and Katie Leviston. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, let's all let names here, man. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm really loving the depth of this offensive line, especially with Questenberry and Humphrey's coming over.
[SPEAKER_00]: But those first five names that I said, those should be you're starting line up. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be Jackson, Abilash, Shelton, K dot and Big Robb. [SPEAKER_00]: We need we need better nicknames for for Steve. [SPEAKER_00]: I think man. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that's happened yet.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you do drop them dude in Coleman, I'm not sure if he's got any either an AJ, uh, uh, uh, say J. That's where he said to me very adamantly. [SPEAKER_00]: He told me that he prefers AJ over all Eric. [SPEAKER_00]: Looked me dead in the eyes and said it man in the scariest way possible because that's a scary human being. [SPEAKER_00]: He's huge. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't look at me and come on. [SPEAKER_00]: What am I supposed to do here, man?
[SPEAKER_00]: AJ Jackson speaking of he is experiencing some issues with those blood clots again and we've seen you know graphics and info and all this stuff coming out from camp and like from from now we camp and all that stuff and according to those and I want to take everything I do want to take everything with a great assault here
[SPEAKER_00]: According to some of those were seeing that Warren McClendon has been taking a lot of reps at left tackle and I know that typically he's been like if you look back yet, I just rewatch last year's preseason. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't shut up. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: But I was just watching last year's preseason and he was coming in right tackle. [SPEAKER_00]: So I know that that's kind of the situation and I've gotten pushback on that before.
[SPEAKER_00]: of saying that I think that if AJ Jackson has continued issues with this, it needs to take some time off that I think it would be Warren McClendon and I got a lot of pushback on that a lot of people saying because he's a right tackle. [SPEAKER_00]: I challenge back if that and say that the Rams don't have anybody except for like Bo Limmer who only plays one position, Coleman Shelton, I guess two. [SPEAKER_00]: Most of these guys can play multiple positions.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we saw Steve Oville start the year at Santa last year dude with Joan of Jackson pulling some other stuff as well. [SPEAKER_00]: Who's now gone, but I mean, that that's the thing with this rams offense. [SPEAKER_00]: I think Big Rob is the only one though. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, no, he's all right, tackle.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because even when Azure Jackson goes out in fairness, if I was like maddening this thing right now, I would, you know, slip over Big Rob because Madden's just a video game and none of it's real. [SPEAKER_00]: So you just take those skill sets. [SPEAKER_00]: numbers and equations and algorithms and stuff and put that out your left tackle spot and you're you're looking pretty good but that being said I think that ultimately McClendon could very well be that guy and maybe I'm wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's totally fine. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm okay with being wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it is DJ Homefrees. [SPEAKER_00]: Guess you've got a lot of football experience. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, DJ Homefrees, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: And Dave in question, Barry, and as well, I think that in my brain, I have a hard time accepting the Dave in question, Barry is still a good player. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's one of those things. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I say this a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, if you judge a book, or you can judge any book you want. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, if you judge, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it's going to believe forever that it's an idiot.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, David Questionberry had to come in against the Rams on Thursday night football and just got absolutely smoked by Jared verse, but if you, if you, you know, assess or if you judge a left tackles ability to block Jared verse, and that's what you decide if he's good or not, took, well, then everybody sucks dude. [SPEAKER_00]: They all, they're all terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: There's not one good left tackle in the NFL.
[SPEAKER_00]: If they're only barometer here, is can he block Jared versus nobody can't do it? [SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't make any sense. [SPEAKER_00]: So I got to get that out of my own head. [SPEAKER_00]: The just because I watched David Questonberry just get absolutely embarrassed out there on the so-fi turf by Jared versus that that doesn't necessarily mean that he's bad player. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, we used to say that about Aaron Donald all the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, that guy sucks. [SPEAKER_00]: He can't block Aaron Donald. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, dude, what? [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody can. [SPEAKER_00]: Are you talking about, dude? [SPEAKER_00]: So, that's definitely a part of it. [SPEAKER_00]: But, of course, I'm very solid depth as well. [SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I think that the situation of depth that tackle is going to be something that the Rams are clearly interested in investing in.
[SPEAKER_00]: Coleman Shelton, he's coming in and he's already been confirmed as the starter at center. [SPEAKER_00]: We've already heard that from Sean McVay, but Bo Limmer being there for death after he had a really solid rookie season is really fun for me. [SPEAKER_00]: I love that that we do get to see now a situation where
[SPEAKER_00]: where limmer has that experience he's played a bunch of football games against some really really good teams and now he has to stand on the sideline and watch Coleman Shelton in absolute monster in the center center spot that he gets to learn from him now and he gets to come off the field and be like hey when when you did this what did you see here when you called this adjustment what was that you know and they can go over that
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that Bro Limmer out here, man, I think that he's in a such a six spot to like I realize that the twenty five season is probably not going to be a bow limmer season most likely not okay, but I also understand that twenty six twenty seven twenty eight. [SPEAKER_00]: those, each of those individual years might be sick, but lemmer seasons man.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that, I mean, we heard from Sean McVay that the miscommunications up there of upfront and that final drive in the ramps final two plays of offense this last season. [SPEAKER_00]: Miscommunication was the downfall there. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Coleman Shelton is going to be the starter. [SPEAKER_00]: But again, nothing negative to say about Bo Limmer. [SPEAKER_00]: He came in as a rookie.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was playing against one of the better teams in the, the Super Bowl championships. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, come on. [SPEAKER_00]: And so there is some leniency there. [SPEAKER_00]: No matter how, how many pieces my heart got shattered into when that ball sailed over Puka to Ku is heading out of bounds. [SPEAKER_00]: Either way, man. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that Bo Limmer's in a really, really good spot.
[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of the RAM success this season really comes down to how good this offensive line plays in continuity. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't necessarily mean that if we lose a guy here or something happens here, that it's all going to fall apart, but that continuity. [SPEAKER_00]: If somebody goes down in week two and we have somebody then fill in for the rest of the season, [SPEAKER_00]: by week eight, nine, ten.
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we're going to start to feel that rhythm in there and then we'll be okay because I think honestly and I'm not just saying this because I'm a Rams fan, but you look down this list even your warm McClendon, your Dillon and McMahon, your Justin dead at your AJR curie who's been around for a while now. [SPEAKER_00]: Kate, he left a stand coming in last year from Kansas State. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that these guys are really good.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like we have some really, really solid depth here, just a lack of experience. [SPEAKER_00]: So you get that experience in there. [SPEAKER_00]: and good things happen, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Good things happen on football fields, and that's what we are here for. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's move over to the tight end spot, really interesting position grouping here. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, sorry, Tyler, Higbee. [SPEAKER_00]: We have Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, and Terence Ferguson.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams love their white dude tight ends, man. [SPEAKER_00]: That is a very much a thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Big Rig Higgs is expected or should be expected to start the season, I would say. [SPEAKER_00]: But the risk growing speculation that Furg is the kind of guy that could unsteet Tyler Higgs be in that role. [SPEAKER_00]: How long will that take? [SPEAKER_00]: Not really sure.
[SPEAKER_00]: Is this going to be one of those situations where I mean, Tyler Higgs became in the twenty sixteen season, man. [SPEAKER_00]: This is, this is your tent for Big Rig Higgs. [SPEAKER_00]: Not necessarily saying that he's on his way out or got to foot out the door or anything like that, but the time is common. [SPEAKER_00]: And Terrence Ferguson [SPEAKER_00]: seemingly has all of the tools to absolutely crush it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a tight end spot and he seems like he fits into the Rams offense exceedingly well. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, let's not forget that the Rams tend to use tight ends in a way in their offense that just does well. [SPEAKER_00]: So as long as you're catching footballs and can break one tackle, you're going to be a damn good tight end for the LA Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: We saw that with Gerald Everett. [SPEAKER_00]: We saw that with Kendall Blanton in the Super Bowl run.
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you can get if you can just hang on to the ball. [SPEAKER_00]: That was Gerald Edwards problem. [SPEAKER_00]: If he if he caught that ball, it was going to take four dudes to tackle them. [SPEAKER_00]: But the chances of catching that ball were like up in the air. [SPEAKER_00]: So those so if if T-Ferg [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, we're trying, I'm trying to nail it down man. [SPEAKER_00]: I gotta think of a better one than Fergi.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's so boring man, but either way, as long as he gets a football man, make one guy's ankles spilt guts out on the floor, then I think we're going to be looking a okay there. [SPEAKER_00]: And it definitely should be something that that we see unfold as far as as the season goes on of like how that distribution is going. [SPEAKER_00]: I for one love snap counts and snap percentages and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: There's something I look for after every game.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like who's who's who's not playing. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: Like who's in there? [SPEAKER_00]: And I say I think we saw that last year riding on the wall of a thing like Cooper Cup where a healthy Cooper Cup was getting less snaps than a poop in Akura. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like one of those things that I can look back on about that was a little bit of a hint. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a little bit of a hint on what was coming.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: So that's gonna be one to watch out for it as that as that season goes if if Higgs is starting at eighty percent and you know and Ferguson closer like that thirty forty range and then that starts to kind of kind of get a little closer and we're looking at sixty sixty in there. [SPEAKER_00]: Then I think that we could we could see a move coming up quickly after that.
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of those situations too, where maybe Higby's still getting the starts, but Ferguson's still getting the bulk of the reps. [SPEAKER_00]: That's absolutely possible as well. [SPEAKER_00]: Colby Parkinson, by the way, could be an underrated player this season after his first year with the Rams was considered a bit underwhelming, considering his skill set. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a very good player.
[SPEAKER_00]: Davis Allen as well he's shown flashes throughout his time on the Rams and is at the very very minimum at the at the lowest level a really really good depth guy at the very worked he's a really really good depth guy and in fairness I think he could start on some NFL teams [SPEAKER_00]: And uh, last up here, wide receiver spot. [SPEAKER_00]: So we got Puka to Kuhua, Devante Adams, two two at well, that feels fake, right? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's hippy yet.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'm gonna need to see Devante, you know, absolutely destroy a corner soul until I'm really like dang Devante Adams is on the right, bro. [SPEAKER_00]: Whoa. [SPEAKER_00]: But Book and Kooa, Devante Adams, two-two at-well, the two-two train, Jordan Whittington, LilWit, Xavier Smith, a KonaTay Mumpfield, Britain Covey, and Drake Stoops, the combo of Nakua and Adams is being talked about as one of the best combos in the NFL and rightfully so.
[SPEAKER_00]: I like many Rams fans have absolutely nothing negative to say about Cooper Cup. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, nothing negative to say about Cooper Cup. [SPEAKER_00]: Love, Cooper, all that good stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think we improved. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that we got better at this spot by moving from cup to Devont Day Adams. [SPEAKER_00]: I think by week two, we see exactly the impact that Devont Day Adams has. [SPEAKER_00]: And I know that we're in a situation.
[SPEAKER_00]: We start against, you know, AFC team all as to two AFC teams. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little bit weird and hard to really gauge it until we start seeing like division opponents where the offensive scheme understands the opponent a little bit more. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't really play the Texans very often. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't play the Titans very often. [SPEAKER_00]: That game week three in Philly though. [SPEAKER_00]: That could be one where we see a bit of an explosion.
[SPEAKER_00]: We played Philly a lot recently. [SPEAKER_00]: So that could really be the year or the game that we're like, oh my gosh, Devote is on [SPEAKER_00]: fire out here dude, but also Pooka to Kuo future Hall of Fame or Pooka to Kuo out here. [SPEAKER_00]: I would comment back. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I said this last week as well that I started saying that after his first game. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Future Hall of Fame or Pooka to Kuo.
[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely killing it out here. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that by that week two, week three range, I think that we're going to be like holy, moly man, Devante Adams is a football player. [SPEAKER_00]: One of those. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, not that we didn't think that he was, but still. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of fans seem to think that Adams is largely going to play that decoy role and that while Puka just kind of thrives off of that that attention going over to Devante.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it goes game by game and what the defense is trying to take away and Stafford smart enough that I think that if somebody's paying attention to to tightly to Nakuya that you know you got you got seventeen on the other side there. [SPEAKER_00]: find him because he's also an absolute monster out there. [SPEAKER_00]: So absolutely got to find your find your guys there. [SPEAKER_00]: Some teams will focus on Puka and some teams will focus on Devante.
[SPEAKER_00]: Some that may do any teams have corners that can cover both these guys. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so, but even in that case, I love our depth there. [SPEAKER_00]: We got two two out. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we got Jordan Whittington. [SPEAKER_00]: Man, I'm feeling really good about it. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's be real. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's be real. [SPEAKER_00]: Who does have the corners to cover these two man on man on man?
[SPEAKER_00]: if we're at you know it's it's second second goal from the three and we put one on the other side one on each side at wide
[SPEAKER_00]: who gets the number one guy who like how do you how do you do with that like I genuinely don't know if anybody has that that situation where they could man on man covering each of those guys because I mean it's that point dude staff or just pick your pick the matchup you prefer and launch that so I'm in launch the fade score tugs gonna be awesome man [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, also good depth man two to outwell like I had mentioned.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean obviously his his speed is is the name of the game there, but he's also putting in a lot of work right now. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that here in a bit, but I mean there's no reason to think that two to outwells not gonna have a good year. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean I'm at the point now with two to outwell where if he doesn't come in and just absolutely just crush skulls then
[SPEAKER_00]: that's a bit of a disappointment for me all the ball be honest I feel really good about two to a well coming into into this season uh one year deal fully guaranteed and I feel like he's also in a position where he knows that if he absolutely balls out he's getting money next year to whether that's from the rams or the chiefs is kind of where I see him going I don't know why uh ball tomorrow makes a lot of sense there's a lot of teams out there that could use a guy like a like two to a well but hey he's with us right now so hands-off dude
[SPEAKER_00]: Back off. [SPEAKER_00]: The two train is in LA. [SPEAKER_00]: Two train is in and stays in LA at least for one more year. [SPEAKER_00]: Jordan winning team. [SPEAKER_00]: He seems to be the perfect play style for the Rams offense. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just his his the way he operates man.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's very it's very Poo kind of Kula to me as as far as does not that that that that pure you know talent and not not to say that he's not good at football, but I mean Poo kind of cool is out like he's just [SPEAKER_00]: He's an anomaly, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: So he's got that same style. [SPEAKER_00]: He's got the same energy to him too. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think he fits in just absolutely flawlessly to the rams offense.
[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely someone to watch for. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to tell you a month field. [SPEAKER_00]: Loki gives me Brandon Lloyd vibes. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: The more I see the more I kind of get that that that that that that body fluidity movement and stuff like that uses his body so well. [SPEAKER_00]: Definitely not as like wild as a Brandon Lloyd.
[SPEAKER_00]: a little bit more like not as like a way that this supposed to be intended as a shop a little bit more stiff than Brandon Lloyd and maybe that's actually a good thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Brandon Lloyd was a little bit of a loose cannon loved that dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Some of the catches he had man absolutely insane, but I get some of those vibes from a Kona Taimump field that he's just got that that really good body control.
[SPEAKER_00]: Xavier Smith, who I don't feel like his truly had a chance to show off his skill set yet. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this is a year where we kind of get him a little peppered into the offense a little bit more. [SPEAKER_00]: And he can really shine because he's obviously a really talented player. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have Drake, Stoops, and Britain, Covey. [SPEAKER_00]: They certainly have an uphill battle here simply because of the numbers game.
[SPEAKER_00]: We can only keep so many guys, do you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: So, it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll a man and they're sitting kind of on the low end there. [SPEAKER_00]: But hey, anything is possible, and it's not like these guys are bad players at all. [SPEAKER_00]: Covey could absolutely make his way onto the team as a return ace. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's absolutely realistic.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that the real situation with Britain Covey is not that he is in a position battle to get onto the field on offense. [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's in a position battle for a returner. [SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that impacts somebody like Xavier Smith as well. [SPEAKER_00]: something to keep an eye on as we get into the the preseason and and and training camp stuff like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, either way underrated battle to watch there as far as the returner goes and just to kind of see how the Rams also deploy that spot is it going to be one of those things where they they are getting there their kick return work and reps in in practice so they don't want it in the preseason. [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen that I think the last two years. [SPEAKER_00]: That they want to do that in house. [SPEAKER_00]: They're doing their practice there.
[SPEAKER_00]: They say let the ball go. [SPEAKER_00]: Get a touch back. [SPEAKER_00]: We're good to go. [SPEAKER_00]: We just want to see the offense out there. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a that's a situation to watch there. [SPEAKER_00]: So that is your offensive breakdown. [SPEAKER_00]: And my recording just stops. [SPEAKER_00]: Give me just I'll be our pick. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I talked too much or something. [SPEAKER_00]: Probably. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I talk all the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: But either way, man, that's something something to watch out for for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Next week next episode, I should say, I don't know if it's gonna be next week or two weeks out. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure yet when I'm gonna start the weekly cycle, or if we're still gonna be on the every other week, at least through July. [SPEAKER_00]: It's possible. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jones and no, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is my outlet, and I need it. [SPEAKER_00]: But defense is gonna be next. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll kind of dive into that. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, forgot to write it down. [SPEAKER_00]: Joe Stradamus, man, making its return as I have a few a few things that I think I think will happen. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm forgetting one, which is very convenient. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's see here.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think [SPEAKER_00]: That my first Joe Stradom is pick here is actually going to be involving the tight end room. [SPEAKER_00]: My Joe Stradom is pick is that one tight end Colby Parkinson gets traded. [SPEAKER_00]: I do think this is a very realistic situation. [SPEAKER_00]: You have a team like the Miami Dolphins who just got rid of John who Smith obviously brought in Darren Waller, but they have been in conversations for tight ends.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it's impossible to see Colby Parkinson head on out. [SPEAKER_00]: And I forgot my other Joseph Thomas pick. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to try to remember it. [SPEAKER_00]: This is why I'm supposed to write things down. [SPEAKER_00]: They steal trap. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing gets in. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing gets out. [SPEAKER_00]: We got news. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all the other side of this break. [SPEAKER_00]: It's Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, come back in.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: My name is Sheriff Joe Bax. [SPEAKER_00]: And as I was was doing that, I remembered my other pick. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so funny dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, uh, we tired out of here dude. [SPEAKER_00]: We tired. [SPEAKER_00]: But hey, we're getting close to the season, which means no time to be tired. [SPEAKER_00]: Time to get hyped and speaking of hyped.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have another prediction as far as a starting position goes. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you'll agree with this and actually tell me if you disagree with this and tell me why though don't just be like you're an idiot. [SPEAKER_00]: Give me some reason in here man. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's have conversation in the comments wherever you can hear or see me or at Ram Showcase at Sheriff Joe Bags dude hit me up. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about the Rams man.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm digging that right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So my other prediction is that a Hello wither spoon does not [SPEAKER_00]: get a starting job week one, even healthy, not that I have anything negative to say about a kello weatherspoon, but I do think that Darian Kendrick is talented and awesome enough to win that spot. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that we go into season week one with D-Wilth, Darious Williams and DK, Darian Kendrick on the other side as our starters.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that Kello gets more than enough playing time. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good player. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Kobe Durant is a guy that I'm kind of seeing as is going to spike as well. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that position group a little bit more in depth next episode. [SPEAKER_00]: But I do have my prediction here. [SPEAKER_00]: My Joe Strottom is pick here is that I think Darien Kendrick is going to be the starter again.
[SPEAKER_00]: he was a starter two years ago before he got heard obviously last year went out like week one of training camp which is so unfortunate with that torn ACL and now he's back on a different deal a little bit of a rework deal I don't have those numbers and I do think that could could give a bit of a hint on on how the Rams plan on utilizing him but I haven't seen those yet because it could be one of those situations too is like well on that contract there's no way but
[SPEAKER_00]: or it could be like on that contract due to obviously you know what I mean so um so there's all that let's go ahead and get into the news though uh the NFL top one hundred list is starting to come out and it's a lot more underwhelming than it has been in past years I feel like this used to be a super hype thing it used to be like a like an event like every week it would like air in prime time on NFL network like leading into the season and then we'd be like oh
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man, this guy got it this spot here. [SPEAKER_00]: He's ninety three and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: First of all, if you're in the nineties, you're still such a sick player, man. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: So like, I think that people are like, oh, man, he's like, he's that guy's twenty four in this guy's thirty six. [SPEAKER_00]: That guy's loser. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, no, they're so many players in the NFL dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a one hundred players doesn't even make up two full teams, man. [SPEAKER_00]: So what are we doing out here?
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say the the top one hundred I miss when it was like a big deal and I think the internet kind of ruined big deals you know what I mean like there's songs I saw this thing that was like this is the most stream song of twenty twenty five so far I hadn't even heard of the song I didn't even heard the name of the song [SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, I'm at it this man, but like the internet makes it so everybody's lanes very much their own lane.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so if you don't care about the top one hundreds, it's very easy to avoid. [SPEAKER_00]: No rams have popped in yet. [SPEAKER_00]: I will say that much, but definitely some expected. [SPEAKER_00]: I was trying to think about where where's Jared versus going to fall in. [SPEAKER_00]: Is he a top one hundred player? [SPEAKER_00]: I think so. [SPEAKER_00]: And I would put the overrunner. [SPEAKER_00]: I do it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so hard.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if anybody else doesn't need thoughts on this. [SPEAKER_00]: I've been I've been workshopped this with anybody yet, but I feel like he falls into the sixties and that a lot of ramps fans are going to be mad about that. [SPEAKER_00]: But coming in as a rookie and being in the top, you know, seventy of the NFL players that mean your so much about asking on me. [SPEAKER_00]: And so [SPEAKER_00]: Something to keep our eyes on for Jared verse.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he falls into the sixties this time, but then next year he's like top fifteen. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why. [SPEAKER_00]: That's like really sticking to my head. [SPEAKER_00]: But Jared verse will see where he lands. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm wildly curious and I propose that to you. [SPEAKER_00]: Where do you see Jared verse slotting in on the top one hundred list? [SPEAKER_00]: If at all, maybe you don't think he makes it. [SPEAKER_00]: Next up, Tyden Tarantz Ferguson.
[SPEAKER_00]: He does remain the lone Rams draft pick yet to sign his contract. [SPEAKER_00]: Ferguson stated that his first big purchase after signing his deal will be his rent in Los Angeles hilarious. [SPEAKER_00]: No word on if it's a negotiation hang up or just slow timing. [SPEAKER_00]: Rams have been known for taking their time with rookie contracts. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't just fire them off and get you under there. [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know though.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's like a guaranteed conflict or anything like that, but the good news is we haven't heard that news. [SPEAKER_00]: We haven't heard that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yo, there's like Terrence Ferguson has a sign. [SPEAKER_00]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_00]: That's not becoming a situation right now like a like a situation with like the bangles or anything. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's at least a good sign that it's not becoming an issue. [SPEAKER_00]: It's very quiet right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that we're getting, I mean, it's July. [SPEAKER_00]: We're getting to that point where the media, I mean, example. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing it right now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to start talking about it. [SPEAKER_00]: So Terrence Ferguson, not under contract yet. [SPEAKER_00]: We will see what happens. [SPEAKER_00]: Rams release wider receiver, Quintez C-Fis.
[SPEAKER_00]: This news came and went quietly, so no real explanation or word on what the Rams will do with the open roster spot, which they do have a few of right now. [SPEAKER_00]: Just ahead's up, so we could see some new Rams pop in. [SPEAKER_00]: My next story here, I had the, uh, the whole Jalen Ramsey. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no updates. [SPEAKER_00]: What's going to happen, um, but then obviously the Rams officially out on the Jalen Ramsey switch takes as Miami trades.
[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Ramsey, Johnny Smith and a pick to the Steelers for Mink of Fitzpatrick and a pick based on the trade. [SPEAKER_00]: It makes total sense that the Rams did not participate in this action. [SPEAKER_00]: Mink of returns to the Dolphins and the Steelers like to pay more money to their defense while TJ what still waits for a new deal. [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams Super Bowl aspirations did not hinge on Ramsey, but there's absolutely no denying his talent.
[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what, any of these publications are trying to spin the trade in two for the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams have a hell of a roster and it was never dependent on Ramsey whether this team was going to be a legitimate contender or not. [SPEAKER_00]: y'all who, um, in sports illustrated, they're trying to make it a big deal. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, Rams missed out on Ramsey. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they're bombs now.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, well, it's not, it's not a really true. [SPEAKER_00]: You click baiters over here. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, let's not forget that, um, I mean, he's on the, he's on the back end of his prime. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted Ramsey back. [SPEAKER_00]: For sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Ramsey's so dope, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: But uh, he's on the back end of his prime. [SPEAKER_00]: He's getting to that.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's that spot now where it's like, hey, you know, stack up your cash, man, and have a good time doing it. [SPEAKER_00]: You go on to the geriatric Steelers over here, which is cool, man. [SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: That's that's good. [SPEAKER_00]: The Steelers, I respect their history.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have zero negative to say about Pittsburgh and the Steelers stuff like that, but [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's it's a little bit crazy to see the reports and these these these publications come out and be like, oh, the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: They missed out on Ramsey. [SPEAKER_00]: Better luck next time. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess better luck in twenty six or something. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, well, relax guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Everything can be fine.
[SPEAKER_00]: But with the Rams have helped have been helped by Jalen Ramsey returning. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I do think so. [SPEAKER_00]: But other Rams hopeless. [SPEAKER_00]: Now that he's a stealer. [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not. [SPEAKER_00]: My personal prediction is that we do see a Rams dolphins trade. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going to guess that it's tied in Colby Parkinson. [SPEAKER_00]: Boom! [SPEAKER_00]: Joe Stroudam is additional.
[SPEAKER_00]: Not only do I think Colby Parkinson gets traded, I do think it's still a dolphin. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not necessarily though like that's not like the my only place that I think he could go. [SPEAKER_00]: But I do see Colby Parkinson as a very very much a a tradable player, I would say. [SPEAKER_00]: But hey, won't be mad if he sticks around. [SPEAKER_00]: quarterback battle. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man. [SPEAKER_00]: We're getting into it.
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a position battle at the quarterback spot. [SPEAKER_00]: The most important position in the game dude. [SPEAKER_00]: So there are thoughts that stats and Bennett slot is QB three for the Rams is up in the air with the addition of quarterback dresser win win and Bennett will likely get the bulk of the reps in the preseason, but it's still unclear if this is true.
[SPEAKER_00]: position battle or if the ram is just interested in adding someone like dresser win who's been with us before familiarity with the offense heading into camp got keep nine's arm feeling real smooth dude real smooth as long as he can do some of these will be okay man going be okay speaking of quarterback's former ram's quarterback Jared Gough is going into his tenth season wild. [SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got a text about that and it was like [SPEAKER_00]: Dang. [SPEAKER_00]: That was it. [SPEAKER_00]: That was like that was my only reaction was a little bit of a lean back scrunched eyebrows and said dang. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the extent of that.
[SPEAKER_00]: But either way, he did appear on the Netflix series, quarterback, and Goff detailed his emotions with the Lions mentioning that it's nice to feel wanted, leading many Rams fans to poke fun at the quarterback who couldn't put the number one offense in the league into the end zone in the Super Bowl. [SPEAKER_00]: We love Jared Goff for what he did absolutely, but I do feel like it's time to stop the, they didn't want me card. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's over man.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're going into your five with your new team. [SPEAKER_00]: You're too old to be doing this now, man. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, a ten-year vet being like, dude, didn't want me. [SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here, man. [SPEAKER_00]: So I love Jared Goff. [SPEAKER_00]: I root for Jared Goff still. [SPEAKER_00]: Jared Goff is the main. [SPEAKER_00]: We drafted him. [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't work out. [SPEAKER_00]: He went somewhere. [SPEAKER_00]: It's working out.
[SPEAKER_00]: At least somewhat. [SPEAKER_00]: Enough with the pity party dude. [SPEAKER_00]: You're in a good spot. [SPEAKER_00]: Leave us alone man. [SPEAKER_00]: Get his stop with the whole like, oh, they don't even like me over there. [SPEAKER_00]: At least I feel wanted here. [SPEAKER_00]: Dude, you're going to your five with a new team. [SPEAKER_00]: Get. [SPEAKER_00]: Do that. [SPEAKER_00]: Do it. [SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here, man. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm pretty over that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty over the pity party. [SPEAKER_00]: The Jared Goffs trying to do the sympathy card is got to stop. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I already don't like the sympathy card. [SPEAKER_00]: And people try to pull that when people try to make me feel bad about something. [SPEAKER_00]: I immediately don't. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what to mean.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that I'm pretty done with the with the Jared Goff, pity party and the old Jared Goff, like at least it's at least they won't. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at least you shut up. [SPEAKER_00]: Get out of here, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Moving on.
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... plappa poooka poooka kooa is in a situation where with his girlfriend haily who is uh... getting the courts involved in a custody case this is more of a personal situation for poooka kooa and will likely have zero impact on what happens on the field situation will surely have more updates but this is probably the last one that i give that's a personal situation with poooka kooa none of my business
[SPEAKER_00]: And the two-two train is a rolin, two-two at-well reportedly getting some extra work in in this what we refer to as the purgatory of the off-season here, the obyss, the dungeon, the black hole of the off-season where there's not a lot going on right now, but people still get into work.
[SPEAKER_00]: South Florida is the setting for the man going into his fifth season as Baltimore Ravens players Lamar Jackson Z flowers and Malik cutting him spotted working out with two two at well in South Florida at well has seen his numbers go up every single gear those those those receiving yards up every single year and as he enters year five on a fully guaranteed deal [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, all expectations are that that's going to climb once again.
[SPEAKER_00]: Permic way the Rams have underutilized that well to this point in his career and there's a wide belief that that well is going to truly explode if he's going to truly explode. [SPEAKER_00]: It's this season. [SPEAKER_00]: And if it doesn't really happen this season, maybe it doesn't happen, but there's a lot of speculation and a lot of growing belief.
[SPEAKER_00]: that if that's in them, if it's in them to really pop off and show the league what up with the two-two train is going to come this year. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's pretty cool stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: With the one-year deal, there is no word on whether this will be the last season the two-two train is stationed in Los Angeles, but of course we'll cross that bridge when we get there. [SPEAKER_00]: We got them this year and that's all that matters. [SPEAKER_00]: Stay in the present.
[SPEAKER_00]: The twenty twenty five season is what matters Matthew Stafford on the two to farewell with that change next year. [SPEAKER_00]: That's next year's problem dude. [SPEAKER_00]: And former Rams making some moves here. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a tremendous income has been released by the Kansas City Chiefs. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't think it's impossible. [SPEAKER_00]: He makes his return, but I would be surprised.
[SPEAKER_00]: And defensive and slash linebacker, Obanaya, Ocaronquo released by the Cleveland Brown. [SPEAKER_00]: So Obo back out looking for a new team as well. [SPEAKER_00]: That is going to do it for your news. [SPEAKER_00]: We got some pretty sick fan cases. [SPEAKER_00]: That's on the other side of this thing. [SPEAKER_00]: These guys? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: It depends on where you're listening to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you get like commercial breaks, you're just air and Donald throwing people to the ground. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back. [SPEAKER_00]: It's Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back in Ram Showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: I am Sheriff Joe Begs. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pulling up my fan casos that I forgot to do before I hit record. [SPEAKER_00]: So we just chill in man. [SPEAKER_00]: Ram Showcase.com. [SPEAKER_00]: Be sure to check that out.
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, if you are looking for an outlet dude, you want to spill some Ram spots onto the world. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, then yeah, hit it up man. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty cool stuff there. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to start on the Facebook page here. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, just got one coming from the Facebook pages when coming from a Gary long time ranch fan, long time Ram Showcase listener and long time awesome dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: Gary says, what do you realistically expect from Jar Quest Hunter in twenty twenty five? [SPEAKER_00]: I love this question because I think a lot of people are forgetting that [SPEAKER_00]: We have a lot of really good backs and it's not that Jarquiz Hunter is like a bad player by any means, but for him to come in and have like a major impact in year one. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if we necessarily see that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that by the end of the season he'll be getting more reps than early in the season. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think we start, like I wouldn't be surprised if we see Jarque was hundred get zero carries for the first five weeks of the season. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's out of the question. [SPEAKER_00]: We also got to remember that the Rams typically kind of on board their rookies a little bit slow.
[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of have a path that [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have the exceptions, you know, Jordan Fuller started it safety pretty early. [SPEAKER_00]: He was playing a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: Pook and Akua absolutely destroyed the soul of Seattle in his first game in the NFL. [SPEAKER_00]: It definitely happens. [SPEAKER_00]: We do have guys that that do play play early, but [SPEAKER_00]: It's not always.
[SPEAKER_00]: And you have a situation where you have a player coming into a position group that has Kyron Williams and Blake Corrum already. [SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think it's realistic to say that the Jark was hunter is going to absolutely light it up and go off year one. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that we'll see flashes. [SPEAKER_00]: I think the best way for me to say it would be I think that we see a similar year this year for for Jarque's hundreds that we saw last year for Blake Corrum.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's totally realistic that it's going to be pretty similar that there's a lot of hype and then it's I don't want to say underwhelming but like people kind of move on from the thought of it of it being crazy you know what I mean so I think that's absolutely something to watch for. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a decent amount here on the YouTube channel? [SPEAKER_00]: What up? [SPEAKER_00]: I was getting notifications on these. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Cool stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: We're just going to go down the list here. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, like that last question, too. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: We go down the list here. [SPEAKER_00]: So first few here, come from pale time, pale time rams, YT, check them out there. [SPEAKER_00]: Rams radar with pale time. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the YouTube channel. [SPEAKER_00]: Definitely check it out there. [SPEAKER_00]: He does watch parties and stuff like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're like looking for a game day environment, that's the place to be. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure I'll do that eventually at some point, hopefully one day working for the rams because that's the goal, you know, but [SPEAKER_00]: I would say that right now I'm a fan still and I'd definitely take some day game days to be a fan still, but I will say I do want to bring back my live streams this year.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that'll make its return as I'm heading out going to catch some football games that I'll probably do live streams again. [SPEAKER_00]: Either way, Bayotown, tough question warning. [SPEAKER_00]: Alright, let's see. [SPEAKER_00]: Would you rather be given VIP game experience to a ram's home game of your choice?
[SPEAKER_00]: Meet the players, coaches, locker room access, food, giving you, et cetera, or be given nose bleed tickets to every ram's road game of the year and get a hot dog and fries voucher. [SPEAKER_00]: With travel expense to pay for, love the show. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, two, that's actually, that is a hard question, man. [SPEAKER_00]: You weren't kidding. [SPEAKER_00]: Both wildly appealing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but if I have a chance to go to more Rams games, I don't care if it's nose bleed or like hot dogs and fries and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care, man. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, to me, uh, the football is the is the draw. [SPEAKER_00]: And so if I can see more stadiums, um, get out and experience more stuff like that, I think that would be the route that I would go.
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but there was definitely there would be something to be said about that that VIP experience locker room access is major that'd be crazy awesome man. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think they'd like walk into a locker room and I'd be like wearing Steve. [SPEAKER_00]: I realize Jersey's looking like a toddler. [SPEAKER_00]: They might get get out get show to pick the other one dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, good stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe can I pick one one year and then the other the next year is out loud because I'll do that. [SPEAKER_00]: But I want the road game one to be the one where we play nine road games. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Do do your thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Pay. [SPEAKER_00]: Make it happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Make it happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Next one here from pay.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you had to trust a member of the Rams of the current Rams team to get you a good deal on a used car. [SPEAKER_00]: Who would you pick? [SPEAKER_00]: Love the show. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you again.
[SPEAKER_00]: um... who to get me a good deal like is the are they the salesman are they like coming with me because if they're coming with me no one's gonna try to flex especially no like dorky car salesman is gonna be able to like try to flex on Jared verse right i mean i walk in with Jared verses and be like hey this one's going for this much and he's like how much one of those you know [SPEAKER_00]: He's so cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Or I just try to out swag them and bring Kevin Dodson.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's the coolest guy in the universe. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's that part of it. [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm trying to smooth the sales guy, make him laugh and all that stuff, give me the land shark dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Kobe Durant. [SPEAKER_00]: There's so many options here. [SPEAKER_00]: Pook and Akua too would be just like one of those where they'd be like, they would just be so thrilled that Pook and Akua is there. [SPEAKER_00]: There's that part too.
[SPEAKER_00]: good questions man, good questions. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I think I think I would go to Jaredverse for intimidation, intimidation factor, which also you get with Kevin Dodson too. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like he's a he's a small dude who's not, you know, mean as hell on football field. [SPEAKER_00]: But he's also got maximum swag. [SPEAKER_00]: Pinnacle swag dude, top tier. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the top of the pyramid man.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's where Kevin Dodson swag is that man always. [SPEAKER_00]: Next one here, what is the most random strange piece of Rams merch that you own? [SPEAKER_00]: Underwear, shower curtain, soap. [SPEAKER_00]: Is there Rams soap? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any underwear. [SPEAKER_00]: I have multiple pairs of socks, though. [SPEAKER_00]: I've got a lot of Rams socks. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm actually wearing some, right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was unnecessary. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's see. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe like I've got these coffee mugs. [SPEAKER_00]: I got from. [SPEAKER_00]: Wait. [SPEAKER_00]: Wait. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it this one? [SPEAKER_00]: And this one. [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: It's good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's good. [SPEAKER_00]: So I got those, which is pretty cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, my record is pretty cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a hard question. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll look at it on my stuff here. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to put a pen in that dude. [SPEAKER_00]: I need to think about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Coosies and stuff, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is here. [SPEAKER_00]: This is just showing here. [SPEAKER_00]: My sheriff badges. [SPEAKER_00]: Dude, those are up there for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know man. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a hard one. [SPEAKER_00]: I've got a lot of random stuff here.
[SPEAKER_00]: Ramdom stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Nice. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this one come from ram's house. [SPEAKER_00]: Who's host? [SPEAKER_00]: I need to change my battery here too. [SPEAKER_00]: So if I cut off, sorry, I'll be right back. [SPEAKER_00]: But either way, the with the Ramsey news breaking this week. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of Ramsey fans are discussing who the CB one is of this team.
[SPEAKER_00]: While the Kelo and Darious are great, I think a lot of people are maybe overlooking Kobe Durant and the year he could have your thoughts. [SPEAKER_00]: solid, okay, I kind of talked about this, but I think CB one is Darious Williams. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's really in competition. [SPEAKER_00]: I think a CB one is for sure, D will. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a killer out there. [SPEAKER_00]: He's top guy. [SPEAKER_00]: Skill wise. [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's our best guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Darian is also skill wise up there. [SPEAKER_00]: He just, and I know that a lot of Ramespan's feel certain ways about Darian Kendrick, but [SPEAKER_00]: Um, he's a risk taker for sure, but also so was generous Jenkins, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so it was, I mean, champ Ali, you know, you know, me, so I mean it happens, whatever, but I think that of people have a few plays in their head when they think of Dary and Hendrick when if you watch like the all-twenty twos, he's absolutely shutting dudes down for bulk of the game, but then one time he tries to jump around and they burn them and it was like, it's guys socks.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, [SPEAKER_00]: is been on fire all day due to a corner and offensive line you can you can do your job perfectly ninety nine percent of time absolutely flawlessly that one percent you make a small mistake and people like get this bomb out of here as wild to me so
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say he's an underrated one but Kobe to ramp you're absolutely right he's in in a position right now going into this year where he might be the top guy like he might be like numbers wise are top guy like he really might be absolutely murder and souls out here so [SPEAKER_00]: I think that a kello, I don't think would be a CB one. [SPEAKER_00]: Simply his contract situation and stuff like that is don't think that he's better than Darius Williams.
[SPEAKER_00]: Love a kello, I have nothing negative to say about a kello. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really, really solid player man and especially a guy having your locker room still like that, obviously. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, it was awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that we got a little bit of a log jam of guys that were very, very good, but who rises up out of that? [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_00]: So that is a tough question, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I know there's a lot of discussion and it seems like no matter which Rams fan you talk to you, everybody's got their own thoughts on who's going to do what and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to change my battery real quick a bit. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, hopefully I'm not like weirdly out of focus now for the rest of the show. [SPEAKER_00]: The screen that I have is like that big and a really far away. [SPEAKER_00]: So I need a monitor or something.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll figure that out. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll get there when I grow up and become a real podcaster. [SPEAKER_00]: We will do that. [SPEAKER_00]: So next question here, coming from a, well, Nathan A. Manning says, if the lions when he Super Bowl this year, did they win the trade after all? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good question. [SPEAKER_00]: And no. [SPEAKER_00]: And only because you say it that way, you say did they win the trade after all.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that both teams have already won the trade. [SPEAKER_00]: No matter what happens from here on out, both teams have already won the trade. [SPEAKER_00]: The Detroit lines have built the best team in franchise history. [SPEAKER_00]: Whether they win a Super Bowl ring or not, that stands true. [SPEAKER_00]: This is the best the lines have ever been, and that was largely because of the trade.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams moved back to Los Angeles, had a couple of years where they were kind of building it up and stuff like that, and then made the trade one at all. [SPEAKER_00]: You win it all after losing it just a few years before and then you have a Super Bowl championship in your own venue in your city that you are back in where a lot of people already kind of believe that that's where you're supposed to be in the first place who never had a Super Bowl win there.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the Rams won the trade year one. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Lions won the trade couple of years into it because now like I said, this is the best they've ever been. [SPEAKER_00]: And I realize that everybody wants a winner and a loser of every trade and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, I mean, we could, I thought that the Rams won the RG three trade. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the players that the Rams got out of that trade.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, oh, man, probably not. [SPEAKER_00]: But also.
[SPEAKER_00]: What the hell do you three do I mean so he's just out here like he had Solid rookie season then kind of dwindled down Injuries and in all that stuff and then at now he's just like a media guy who I think says too much who kind of I think is actively trying to stir the pot and stuff like that on certain topics and stuff so To who won that trade at the time the Rams looks like they flee stone [SPEAKER_00]: And then we can look back on that trade now and be like, hey, I'm not really.
[SPEAKER_00]: Both teams lost that trade in fairness. [SPEAKER_00]: This trade involving Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that both teams have already won the trade. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think anything from here on out will change that in my mind at least. [SPEAKER_00]: It's already happened. [SPEAKER_00]: It's already both teams have already won. [SPEAKER_00]: So if the Lions win the Super Bowl, they'll definitely tell us that they won the trade.
[SPEAKER_00]: There, their fans are going to come out on social media and be like, see, we won the trade. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, dude, you guys did what we did years ago. [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for catching up. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think there's that part of it, but yeah, I think I understand everybody wants a winner in a loser of every situation, but I think that in this in this situation, there's just two winners. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it worked out for both teams.
[SPEAKER_00]: So no, ultimately. [SPEAKER_00]: So I answered your question. [SPEAKER_00]: Next one here from Nathan, how many seasons can Sean McVay end the season? [SPEAKER_00]: Hold on. [SPEAKER_00]: A new season on a loss before he's on the hot seat. [SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
[SPEAKER_00]: How many seasons can Sean McVay end the season on a loss before he's on the hot seat or talk about like losing in the playoffs because he's made the playoffs six times seventy five percent of the seasons that he's been the Rams Kedge Coach he's been in the playoffs six times [SPEAKER_00]: And the Rams in St. [SPEAKER_00]: Louis entirely made the playoffs. [SPEAKER_00]: What five missed the playoffs for twelve straight years. [SPEAKER_00]: He's been here for eight.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've made it six. [SPEAKER_00]: He's not on his. [SPEAKER_00]: His seat is perpetually on cool mode, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: It's I think he sits on ice. [SPEAKER_00]: But he's got him, Roy. [SPEAKER_00]: It's dude. [SPEAKER_00]: He's sitting on ice. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think that's that. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think that's case. [SPEAKER_00]: Especially you look at like the way that season ended last year.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Rams are the only team that even gave Philly a fight. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, year before that, I mean, that's just, you run into that situation, that storyline of the lines. [SPEAKER_00]: And last by one in fairness, let's not pretend like that game couldn't have gone either way.
[SPEAKER_00]: But you ran into it to one of the best feel good stories and NFL history of the Detroit Lions getting their first home game in my lifetime home playoff game in my lifetime and it happens to be against the quarterback. [SPEAKER_00]: They traded away and want a Super Bowl who want a Super Bowl in year one with his new team. [SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of the perfect storm of just like yeah, they're going to win this game. [SPEAKER_00]: I hated that. [SPEAKER_00]: I hated that.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had to play the lines. [SPEAKER_00]: I hated all of that because it was like going into that game. [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't going to tell anybody or say anything aloud, but it was, because I did feel like the Rams were the better team. [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like we could, we should have, could have sure to want it. [SPEAKER_00]: What a one. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but again, it was like that storyline. [SPEAKER_00]: It was like this city is going to be so crazy.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be one of those. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was talking about is like, it's like, we're probably going to see a Ford Ford Field B as loud as that NFC championship game in New Orleans where we can't hear a dang thing. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just gonna be one of those situations and they came to play. [SPEAKER_00]: They had a good day and they won. [SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, if you look at just those, those last two, I don't think so.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, bend to a Super Bowl, won the NFC twice, won a Super Bowl. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I, again, like he's got hemorrhoids, Sean McBase, it's all nice. [SPEAKER_00]: Got like that, put them on a shirt. [SPEAKER_00]: Rams, how is who's hopes? [SPEAKER_00]: I said, what would it be like having Kyrin Williams as a coworker? [SPEAKER_00]: I think Kyrin Williams is all business dude and I at work at jobs. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't love it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not that way.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know man. [SPEAKER_00]: But if we worked for the Rams, he does already, but if I worked there too, it'd be all business too, man, because that's like the only thing I care about. [SPEAKER_00]: The Rams is the only thing I've ever truly loved. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't. [SPEAKER_00]: He's over here. [SPEAKER_00]: He's sleeping on my shoes. [SPEAKER_00]: He does that. [SPEAKER_00]: Love him. [SPEAKER_00]: And love the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, my mom.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's in my niece is my favorite human being in the world. [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_00]: Love my niece. [SPEAKER_00]: She's the best. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it'd be all business man, which if we were working for the Rams, then that's A. Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: If it's working for anywhere else, it's problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Because I want to be I want to joke. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be a joking jokester from jokeville.
[SPEAKER_00]: Jokey Mick Gokerton and that's just always going to be bad. [SPEAKER_00]: He would get annoyed with me as what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll see here next one here from Nathan Amen again. [SPEAKER_00]: Why do I want Cooper cup to score seven touchdowns on twenty three passes for four hundred and forty four yards when he plays against the Rams here. [SPEAKER_00]: No idea. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be sucks against the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope he's I'll be terrible.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be drops a bunch of passes. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't hope injury or anything like that because I love Cooper Cup, but no. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a Rams fan first and foremost players come and go the Rams or forever. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't hope anybody does well against Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll care about your fantasy team. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about former Rams playing against the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: I want them all to do terrible.
[SPEAKER_00]: I want the Rams to win football games and everybody else can go die. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a, that's how I feel. [SPEAKER_00]: I had to score seven touchdowns on twenty three passes for four, four, four, when he plays against the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't relate to that emotion, man. [SPEAKER_00]: I really can't not say anything wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll never tell you that you're being a fan wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: Phantom is ultimately that.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's your own. [SPEAKER_00]: You can, you can handle that, that, that, however you feel. [SPEAKER_00]: I know people who are just player fans. [SPEAKER_00]: I know people who are who
[SPEAKER_00]: will live and die on their team winning or losing a game and looking at you prox fans y'all need to relax all right uh... but uh... i would say yet a couple of against the rams i don't want anybody to do well against rams okay who you are i'm care of my my my nephew plays for a team and they're playing against the rams i'll be sucked that day i've a cousin who plays football he's actually really really good he's going into your two but he had a red shirt freshman year uh... he's a linebacker and for a small school in fairness uh... for Lewis but
[SPEAKER_00]: He's an absolute monster dude, and if he's playing against the Rams, hope he sucks, hope he misses a bunch of tackles. [SPEAKER_00]: So I can't relate to that emotion, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, not telling you you're wrong, but there is no instance everywhere I would hope somebody would do well against the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't exist. [SPEAKER_00]: And last one here, come from Rams house, who's house?
[SPEAKER_00]: Most underrated slash overlooked player from both the twenty eighteen Super Bowl team and the twenty twenty one Super Bowl team. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a great question. [SPEAKER_00]: That twenty eighteen Super Bowl team is one I kind of feel like I need to try to remember better. [SPEAKER_00]: I remember the year very well, but the Super Bowl. [SPEAKER_00]: I watched every game multiple times. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm in the middle of doing two days right now on the rewatch of the season.
[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot that I mean, I always start and I usually watch a game. [SPEAKER_00]: One game a week until we get to the season and it's kind of how I control my insanity. [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't doing that and it was like we had ten weeks left. [SPEAKER_00]: Crap dudes like Williams played games last year. [SPEAKER_00]: So I better get on this dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I've been playing one through started that process of rewatching the rewatching the season which tuna brought up which is so funny to me. [SPEAKER_00]: I have never thought about it this way. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, tuna on the first and tuna podcast. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a tuna in the sheriff available audio version everywhere Apple Spotify. [SPEAKER_00]: All that good stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: But also live on the Ram Showcase Facebook page in the first and tuna podcast YouTube channel.
[SPEAKER_00]: Check us out. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, he had mentioned he was like, he's like, it's so funny. [SPEAKER_00]: You treat it like a TV show. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I got to catch up on last season. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not lost in this one. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so funny dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, because I definitely treated that way.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, I got to know like, [SPEAKER_00]: who who ended the season hot that I need to be watching out for that I wasn't paying attention to you know but anyway answer your question twenty eighteen super bowl year under rated slash overlooked [SPEAKER_00]: I almost don't feel like this is the right answer. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I'll be mad that I'll think of somebody else later, but I'm going to say CJ Anderson.
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the year that Todd Gurley was having his twenty seventeen into twenty eighteen was unmentionable dude. [SPEAKER_00]: He's still in like top five from he hasn't played since it's twenty twenty y'all and he's still like a top ten running back since he got drafted. [SPEAKER_00]: Crazy to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we I don't think I understood the real like how how sick talk early really wasn't till it was gone So that's why I really tried like I ran that in like you know like Matthew Stafford. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how long we're gonna have him but we're gonna talk about this Matthew Stafford Rams era [SPEAKER_00]: For the rest of our lives, we're going to die talking about this stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just trying to soak that in again, but I'll say CJ Anderson because we did get to the playoffs and there was that situation where Todd Gurley's knee was like getting out of your dude. [SPEAKER_00]: So CJ being able to be that guy. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that was that was invaluable in that run. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if the Rams make it all the way if without a CJ Anderson getting it done.
[SPEAKER_00]: I know that Todd and CJ both had the hundred plus against Dallas, but CJ still in that game has one of my favorite moments. [SPEAKER_00]: One of my favorite pictures in Rams history where it's just him sitting on the Cowboys bench. [SPEAKER_00]: That's one of my favorites. [SPEAKER_00]: I share that regularly when it's like, when I'm just like, you know, in a situation where I'm with, I just a bunch of other fans. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, this is me.
[SPEAKER_00]: One time, it was with a bunch of cowboys fans and I really, I shared that. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, yo, this is for real right now, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it was me sitting in my ram stuff surrounded by cowboys fans. [SPEAKER_00]: It was fun. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll say CJ Anderson for that. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm trying to probably remember if anybody else really sticks out to me from that season, but nothing's popping in my head right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Piers was fun that year, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Holy moly that week one that touchdown he got against the the Raiders dude. [SPEAKER_00]: That was like this year is going to be so much fun. [SPEAKER_00]: It's you almost know man.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like watch out against the Texans dude because I mean we had it against against against the Raiders week one that year where Marcus Peter says that pic six six celebration we're all having a good time we're high five and we're like yo those so sick and then you're at twenty one season
[SPEAKER_00]: Which kind of leads me into this next one where we get that twenty one season where was it second play of the season that Stafford hits Van Jefferson deep for that touchdown and is one of those situations where Van was falling catch in the ball and realized it wasn't touch so it gets up and runs it in and it's like it's right then that's when thunder struck starts playing and it's one of those situations where it's like It's like this year is gonna be fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is gonna be a good year [SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, opposite end, let's go back in time a little bit here. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember exactly the year, thirteen or four. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it must have been twelve, eleven or twelve, maybe. [SPEAKER_00]: Stephen Jackson had a forty-seven yard touchdown run to open the season against the Philadelphia Eagles.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, yo, it was gonna be a fun year, but he strained his hamstring on that and didn't play it until like, we gave. [SPEAKER_00]: So it was like, dang, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Even farmers are back in time. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's even go further back. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why this is triggered in this memory. [SPEAKER_00]: Chicago Bears week one where Orlando pace towards rotator cuff week one. [SPEAKER_00]: That was one of those where it's like, oh [SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be one of those, you know? [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's like it's that week one. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it's so telling for the Rams. [SPEAKER_00]: If we if we destroy it week one, that's gonna be fun, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Like Sean McVase first year, Indie comes to town with the Colosseum. [SPEAKER_00]: I just remember Lamark is joiner getting that interception. [SPEAKER_00]: He runs into the end zone and just keeps full sprint. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so funny to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't really. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't figure out why that's so funny to me, but it is. [SPEAKER_00]: Lamark is joiner. [SPEAKER_00]: What a name. [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't said that name at a long time, but [SPEAKER_00]: I hope he's doing well, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Under where he's up to these days.
