Should I Get a Tattoo? Considerations

Speaker 1

Guys , welcome back to another episode of RED . It's the everyday podcast for the everyday people and , as always and I am pleasured to be here with you all my name is Rashawn Jr and I am your host .

Before we get into the show , I just want to thank our loyal subscribers , our loyal followers on TikTok now going into 1,060 , and on YouTube , 613 subscribers , 613 family members and over 1,000 plus family members on TikTok , plus family members on TikTok .

We really cherish you , guys , and we thank you so much for allowing us to be able to represent your stories in a way that will leave you feeling loved , cared for and dignified . So our theme today , in connection with episode number 35 , should I get a tattoo ? Have you ever thought about that ?

Well , what's involved in connection with making a wise decision as to whether you should get a tattoo or not ? Well , first let's consider the question . What is the attraction ? Notice the expressions of a young person named Ryan who says I think some tattoos are beautiful works of art .

Now , the motive for getting a tattoo might affect how you feel about getting one . For example , a teenager named Jillian says when a girl I went to school with was little , her mom died . So when she became a teenager . The girl got her mom's name tattooed on the back of her neck .

I think a tattoo like that can be very sweet and it's true , a tattoo can have valuable meaning . I know many persons whom have had things inscribed onto their person based on life goals , based on how people treat them , how they treat other people , etc . Things that they want to live their life according to they put on themselves by means of a tattoo .

But regardless of the motive , you should think long and hard before deciding to have anything permanently inked into your skin . So what questions are you going to consider if you are thinking about getting a tattoo ? Number one what are the health risks ?

Tattoos breach the skin , which means that skin infections and other complications are possible , says the website website , the Mayo Clinic . Sometimes bumps , called granulomas , form around tattoo ink . Tattooing can also lead to keloids . Keloids are raised areas caused by an overgrowth of scar tissue .

Furthermore , the website notes if the equipment used to create your tattoo is contaminated with infected blood , you can contract various blood-borne diseases . So by considering the facts in connection with the dangers that might come about in connection with getting a tattoo , you can be able to make a balanced , reasonable decision . Consider the second question .

How would it affect your reputation ? Like it or not ? Your appearance sends a message . It identifies you as either adult-like or immature , as either trustworthy or irresponsible . A second question to consider in connection with this topic how would it affect your reputation ? Like it or not ? Your appearance sends a message .

It identifies you as either adult-like or immature , as either trustworthy or irresponsible . Whenever I see someone with a tattoo , I automatically put him in the drinking and partying category , says a teenager named Samantha . Melanie , whom is 18 years old , sees another aspect to it To me . She says tattoos hide your natural beauty .

It's as if those who wear them don't want you to see who they really are , so they hide themselves underneath tattoos . Here's a third question to consider . Will you always like it ? Over time , weight gain or even simple aging can stretch and distort a tattoo .

I've seen what tattoos look like on a person decades later , and it's not pretty , says a young man named Joseph . Tattoos often become outdated , says 21-year-old Alan . What was once significant to the wearer might not be important just a few years later . Well , alan makes a good point .

The fact is , as people age , their views change , their tastes change and their affections change , but their tattoos do not . Having got a tattoo that only reminds me of foolish feelings is something I wouldn't want to add to the list of things I regret . Years later , says a young woman named Teresa .

So , in view of these factors , many people have decided against getting a tattoo . In fact , they have found something much more better than tattoos . In fact , they have found something much more better than tattoos .

Teresa , who was quoted earlier , says If there is a phrase or slogan that you truly love or a person whom is important to you , then live by that phrase or tell that person how much he or she means to you , instead of getting a tattoo . Live what you believe .

Now , of course , this podcast , this episode's theme , is not to sway you against getting a tattoo , but it's helping you to cultivate as a young person , and even those who are in their mid-20s who tune into the show , to be able to make a balanced decision as to whether to get a tattoo or not , to be reasonable as you weigh the options .

It's something that shouldn't be done under the influence of alcohol . It's something that shouldn't be done because of peer pressure , because all of your friends have one . It's something that should be done because you thought about the decision , you've given it sound attention and you are striving to do it for your personal self .

So whether you decide to get a tattoo or not to get a tattoo is a personal decision . The most important thing , though , is to live your life in a way that will bring glory to yourself and those whom you truly love and care about . Our first story is a follow-up in connection with a shooting that happened in Bowie , texas .

From the previous episode , classes resumed at Arlington's Bowie High School after fatal shooting . We're now returning to Texas . Classes resumed Monday morning at Bowie High School in Arlington after police say an 18-year-old student was shot and killed by a classmate last week . The accused gunman , 17-year-old Julian Howard , remains in jail on more than $750,000 in bonds .

Howard was arrested near the campus and was charged with murder in the death of 18-year-old Tavian Barnes . Barnes was fatally shot outside of a portable building . The Arlington ISD confirmed both Howard and Barnes were students at the school . Following the shooting on Wednesday , classes were canceled Thursday and Friday .

The school district said they are working with Arlington police to add more security at the campus and that counseling services are being made available to students and staff for the week .

Some parents have expressed that even though these measures are taking place , they are not going to send their kids back to the school the following year , back to the school the following year . Gabrielle Eunice , whose daughter also attends the school , said she prays daily for her children and generally for safety at the school .

At the release of class Monday afternoon , ninth grader Louis Benavides told NBC5 there was a notable difference with the presence of security and extra Arlington police officers on campus . The investigation is ongoing and police have not yet confirmed a motive .

The search for the murder weapon is also ongoing and the Arlington police are receiving help from federal investigators , including the Bureau of Alcohol , tobacco , firearms and Explosives . When you think about school protection , when we were in school there were fire drills , things that we did in case of unique emergencies .

But now arming the school as if protecting a military base and bringing in certain individuals of a municipal manner , really just shows how out of control things have gotten in the school district .

So we wish you the best in Bowie , texas , you dear ones , and if you're struggling with some of these changes as a student , take practical and positive steps to cope , try not to become irrational in your thinking and reasoning and strive to do your best to live safely and soundly and avoid dangers as best as you possibly can .

Our next story we are traveling to my home state of New Jersey . This story is very unique in nature Former Carteret Middle School teacher accused of sexually assaulting student .

School Scandals

An investigation revealed Jeffrey Munguia was the victim's teacher at Carteret Middle School when the incident allegedly occurred in 2022, . According to authorities , we're now in New Jersey . A former middle school teacher in Carteret is accused of sexually assaulting a student . Middlesex County Prosecutor says 32-year-old Jeffrey Munguia of North Bergen was arrested Wednesday .

An investigation revealed Munguia was the victim's teacher at Carteret Middle School when the incident allegedly occurred in 2022 . Munguia was charged with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child . Police say the investigation is ongoing .

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Castro of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit at 732-745-3652 , or Sergeant McFadden of the Carteret Police Department at 732-541-4181 .

These things that continue to happen in the school industry , that leave students feeling uneasy , perhaps unloved and uncared for , can really add to the trauma of students not wanting to go to school . You see , some time ago it was uncommon for a child not to want to participate in school activities .

But because of the nature and the dark turn of the school industry today , the school system today , it's not a unforeign concept for a young person to not want to go to school and be involved in such heinous and dangerous things . We wish the victim the best and a well recovery .

In connection with this tragic story , in the following story we're going to continue that train of staff members and individuals who are there to protect students , steering them in another direction . Arlington after school employee accused of showing pornography to students .

A man who worked in an after-school program in Arlington County , virginia , was arrested and accused of showing pornography to minors , police say . Police say the suspect , 18-year-old Matthew Pinata , was an Arlington Public Schools extended-day employee who was assigned to Abingdon Elementary School Late last week .

Police began a criminal investigation after receiving information that the suspect had shown pornography to three children . Pineda of Fairfax County has been arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography , as well as assault and battery .

Police said After Pineda's arrest , arlington Public Schools sent a letter home to families with children at Abingdon Elementary School . Abingdon's principal shared this letter with News 4 . Police said they are concerned that there are more victims . They are asking for .

Anyone with information related to this investigation or any past inappropriate encounters with Pineda is asked to contact Detective R Muninza at 703-228-4171 . Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call that tip line at 866-411-TIPS . Also 8477 . Also 8477 . The suspect is being held without bond . It is unclear if he has an attorney .

Tragedy , unforeseen circumstances the things that students have to continue to deal with and contend with as they strive to better themselves under the school environment . The parents involved in this circumstance don't blame yourselves . Find a way to help your children to cope with these challenges and make the best of the circumstances .

Help them to reason out their choices , as it were , and encourage them to fortify themselves against such persons and these unique perversions . In our follow-up story , we're going to analyze the dangers of using AI and what can happen when the technology is abused by persons using it for ulterior motives . The location here is Baltimore .

Baltimore High School athletic director used AI to create fake racist audio of principal . Police arrested a Baltimore high school athletic director Thursday after they said they discovered he allegedly used artificial intelligence to create a phony audio recording of the school's principal that went viral and cost the school leader his job temporarily and his safety .

Principal Eric Eyesworth , was removed from his position at Pikesville High School after the school district began investigating the audio clip that was circulated among staff and social media in January , where it appeared Eyesworth made racist comments against black and Jewish persons .

Investigators allege the three-month probe , which involved local police and the FBI , concluded that the audio was forged using AI tools by Dazon Darian , the athletic director at the school .

According to Baltimore Chief of Police Robert McAuliffe , this situation began on January 16th when a recording that appeared to be a conversation between Isworth and an assistant principal first circulated .

According to the charging document , in the audio Isworth allegedly claimed black students were unable to test their way out of a paper bag and made disparaging comments about Jewish individuals and two teachers .

The charging documents said Investigators said the audio had profound repercussions for Isworth and the school community as school officials began investigating the incident . Isworth maintained that the conversation in the audio never happened and told investigators that Darian , 31 , may have been involved because he was good with technology .

According to the charging document , darian was one of three teachers who first received the audio from a mysterious email . The charging document read the unidentified teacher whom is mentioned after the first teacher forwarded the audio to several media outlets and groups , including the NAACP .

Investigators said Detectives allege that Darian used his large language models , such as OpenAI and BingChat , to create the recording . The charging document claimed that Darian has a paid OpenAI and Bing Chat to create the recording . The charging document claimed that Darian has a paid OpenAI account , which gives users more features than the free version .

He was arrested at Thurgood Marshall Airport Thursday morning as he was trying to board a flight to Houston and charged with several criminal counts , including disrupting a school operation and stalking . Police and charging documents said Darian was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond Thursday afternoon . Attorney information for the defendant wasn't immediately available .

The investigation is ongoing . The interesting thing about this story that you find gripping is that AI can be used based on the person's free will . Oftentimes , parents are upset with how things are handled in the school system , but it's really up to the individual to use the AI technology in a wise way .

This could have went further than what possible if it wasn't stopped by police , so it's interesting that they were able to catch this before it transpired out of control . But unfortunately , damage was done , and so we can only imagine what this principal is feeling , especially when he's been lied on in a public way .

We wish you the best , Principal Eyesworth , as you continue to rebuild your reputation in a community that may have thought negatively about you . In the following story , we're going to be able to see just what can happen when a young person doesn't fully rationalize on a decision in our theme , in connection with getting a tattoo .

This person should have reasoned a bit better before he took such a very , very drastic and heinous step . Teen charged with murder of beloved California middle school teacher . The boy was 15 at the time that 50-year-old Sergio Martin was shot dead in his home in Dinuba , california . Martin was a longtime Spanish teacher at El Monte Middle School .

A 16-year-old boy has been charged in the killing of a beloved middle school teacher during a burglary in Central California last year . Officers found Sergio Martin , a 50-year-old teacher for the Cutler-Orissey Joint Unified School District , dead from multiple gunshot wounds in his home in Dinuba at around 3 am on November 6 , 2023 .

At the time , police described the shooting as a random act of violence and said the suspect was not a former student of Martin's . The teenager was charged with murder and burglary , among other counts . The Tulare County District Attorney said Monday the teen was arraigned in Tulare County Juvenile Court on Friday .

Under California law , the boy will be tried as juvenile because he was 15 at the time of the killing . If convicted , he can only remain in custody until the age of 25 . Tragic , devastating how one person's abuse of free will can cost another person their life . The family of Mr Martin we send our strong condolences .

We are so tragically , terribly sorry for your loss . It really , really isn't fair when you think about it and the pain that comes from this journey that you're going to have to take on the road of grief . Continue to endure and continue to know that you're loved .

Surround yourself by such people who love and care for you , and we know that you're going to be able to endure . We wish you all the best in California . In this next story , you be the judge in connection with if this substitute teacher is justified and how he decided to handle matters regarding this particular student .

Fight between high school substitute teacher and student caught on camera in Las Vegas . The location now is Las Vegas . A video of a fight between a student and a substitute teacher at a Las Vegas Valley High School was shared on social media Thursday .

A substitute teacher and a student engaged in a fight which was caught on camera at Valley High School in East Las Vegas . Sources indicated that the fight began after a student used a racial slur and that the video is being used as evidence by the Clark County School District Police Department . Ccsd police identified the teacher as Raekwon Smith , 27 .

He was a substitute assigned to Valley High School and has been employed by the district since November 2023 . He will be removed from CCSD's substitute pool and is no longer eligible to serve as a substitute in the district .

According to police , court records show Smith faces several charges , including battery resulting in serious bodily harm , assault to school pupil on school property , vehicle activity threatening to do bodily harm to public school student and interfering with a student from attending school . He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on $9,000 bail .

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 26th . Today , you can really see just how difficult it is to be a teacher in the school system . Well , why do we say that the student said a racial slur to the teacher ? Doesn't matter what the race is , it doesn't matter . Our episode's center and focus is on young people .

Weighing the options of your decisions . Where is this going to get me ? What is this going to get me and where is this going to lead me if I make this decision ? Yes , of course , a grown teacher should not be beating on a young student . We can't ignore the reality of the law , however .

Humans have free will and if young persons don't take the time to think about their actions , these are somehow the consequences , or sometimes the consequences that are going to pay the price of using misjudgment . Parents , encourage your children to be respectful , not because they could be attacked , but because respect goes a long way in life .

You can't control the actions of another person , but you can control your own actions and how you deal with the circumstance and a situation . Some people today have nothing to lose . They don't care about prison anymore . They don't care about prison anymore . They don't care about the police anymore .

So this teacher was willing to take matters into his own hand and be man enough to deal with the consequences . Well , the student , on the other hand , is dealing with the consequences of this teacher's lack of caring about the system .

So look for ways to protect yourself from such individuals by maintaining self-control and reasoning on your thoughts and actions before things progress out of control . We wish the student a well recovery .

The video is gruesome but unfortunately , due to community guideline violations , we will not be able to upload it on any platform , but we can drop you a link if you would like to see the contents of this story . This following story highlighting the dangers of the choices that teachers continue to make and bringing students in harm's way .

High school students experience driving impaired with Arrive Simulator . Clark County is our location . Prom and graduation season is underway across the Miami Valley and schools are looking to keep students safe . According to the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration , teens are more likely to die in crashes than drivers who are 20 years and older .

New Center 7's Nick Foley was at a local high school on Friday when the Clark County Health Department brought a special simulator for students . It's like I thought I was doing good and I was not one student , said Sophomore Samantha Russell learned firsthand what driving impaired after drinking alcohol looked like .

Foley said the ARRIVE simulator gives drivers a sense of what it's like to be behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana , and even texting while driving . It is a danger first responders know all too well . It is knowledge that russell admits she may not have fully grasped before . It definitely made me feel more real .

Like you hear about stories that are happening but you never like actually feel the gravity of it . She told foley , so it definitely is . You leave today with kind of a new sense of the dangers . The Arrive Alive Tour is the nation's number one ranked drunk and distracted driving awareness event .

Well , as was discussed in our story , there are many ways to prepare for prom . Some people search the proper dresses , some people search for the proper colors of the proper tuxedo . Well , here in this school in the Miami Valley , they are looking for ways to protect themselves physically and emotionally from dangers that come from marijuana and driving while impaired .

We wish you , students , the best and a well and safe prom in connection with your senior year . Congratulations , senior year . Congratulations , class of 2024 . In this follow-up story , note the beauty of what can happen when you take a healthy trip down memory lane . 104-year-old time capsule discovered during demolition of Minnesota High School .

The items found inside included a high school magnet high school newspaper and financial statements . During a demolition project of a former Minnesota high school , construction workers discovered in the rubble a time capsule from 1920 .

The capsule , which was buried at Owatonna High School in Owatonna , minnesota , was found as the construction crew was pulling down the front pillars and doors of the school .

The time capsule was opened during a ceremony event on Monday with the items found inside , including a roster of the teachers and administrators at Owatonna Public Schools in 1920 , the high school magnet , the high school newspaper , three local newspapers and financial statements .

The Owatonna High School Museum Committee is working with the Steele County Historical Society to try and preserve the items . A determination will then be made as to which items will be displayed at the school and which will be moved into the Historical Society's collection .

Appreciate the historical significance of the time capsule and are committed to continuing to preserve our history for generations to come . A spokesman quoted One of the things that I find to be unique about a time capsule is you can really see just how much things have changed .

One of the things in particular that I used to do many years ago was write down some qualities I wanted to get a hold on and then check my progress at the end of the school year .

That was something that we would do , so I can only imagine just how thrilled these persons are to have found this piece of history and being able to compare it with the times of the 1920s to the times of now .

And the unique thing , too , about this story is that it comes during demolition , so at a time when you're destroying a school , you find just something small , a little piece to hold on to and to cherish . Well done in Minnesota . Well , guys , we reached the final story for episode number 35 , and what a wonderful episode it has been .

We are devastated to hear about your loss and we want to wish you the best as you try your best to deal with the circumstances surrounding the loss of these two individuals .

When someone that we love and care about has been taken away from us in such an abrupt , quick manner , it can be very difficult to find the means to cope .

But as we allow these feelings to not ruin us , as we take hold of the pain that we're experiencing and we communicate effectively with those around us who love us and cherish and care for us , we do find comfort .

We wish you the best and we hope , even in connection with those who are friends of these individuals , reach out to us here in the show , express yourself and be able to feel that support and connection with your losses . We wish you all the best there in Tennessee . Well , guys , it has been a pleasure to be here with you for episode number 35 .

You'll recall , in one of the stories we discussed today , a substitute teacher attacked a student because he didn't reason out the consequences of his action .

No one is siding with the teacher , but the theme of our episode , although it's focused on tattoos , can help us to see the need and the value of reasoning on decisions before we make them . Other than that , guys , we love you and we cherish each and every one of you . This has been RED . It's the Everyday Podcast for the everyday people . Peace out .
