¶ Deer Breaks In, Grinch Protests Santa
This is the Everyday Podcast for the Everyday People . Guys . Welcome back to another episode of R-E-D . It's the Everyday Podcast for the Everyday People and guys . The red light's on and you know what that means .
It's time to go through all things crazy this past week , and one of the things that I really really appreciate about this podcast is the potential that it has the people that it's reached this week . I just want to extend a warm welcome to 15 new subscribers on my last video . Each and every one of you guys is loved .
It is a privilege and an honor to be here with you guys . You guys are phenomenal and I really , really appreciate all of the comments reaching out in connection with this podcast .
Many of you know that I dedicated this podcast to my brother , whom was killed a couple of years ago , and I really really enjoy what I do because it's growing , it's helping people and each and every week I get to be here . So far , things have been very slow this week Pretty hectic but slow .
My wife turned 27 and I just find that to be humorous because you know , now being 31 , it's just 27 still seems to be living the dream , but you guys know how that goes . So for those of you who are born in 96 , you can definitely take a deep breath because you guys are not officially old yet . So that's pretty much what's been on my mind this week .
But other than that , guys , we have some gripping stories as always on this podcast to discuss , and this first one is we're coming straight to my hometown of New Jersey . A deer broke into a New Jersey elementary school . Its escape was caught on police body cams . Tom's River , new Jersey .
A New Jersey elementary school had an unexpected visitor over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend . A deer jumped through a small window and knocked over items in a classroom before fleeing the building .
A man walking his dog around 10pm on November 25th saw the young deer smash through a window at Cedar Grove Elementary School in Tom's River , which is about 60 miles east of Philadelphia . The man notified police and their subsequent search of the school was recorded by the officers body cams .
When officers encountered the deer in a stairwell , the animal , who police have nicknamed Rudolph , initially charged at them as it ran down a hallway . It then entered a classroom by opening a door that happened to be unlatched and jumped onto a bookshelf , scattering some items , but it didn't cause any major damage .
The officers eventually used a dog snare to get the deer out of the classroom and it soon fled the building the same way it got in . Authorities said the animal didn't appear to be seriously injured . School staffers boarded up the window and cleaned up after the deer escaped . This story is just a little wild of nature .
It's nothing too drastic or hectic , too crazy , but I really do appreciate the resilience of the police . Some of the taglines in connection with the story is run , rudolph , run , and I find that to be humorous because it's often . Deer to me are just a funny kind of animal . I'll see them outside of my house and they'll give me the look .
And so I'll give them the look and it's like you mind your business , dude , I'll mind my business . But overall they tend to be more fearful than the type of animal to charge one or to be aggressive . But then of course , when any animal is fearful or timid or afraid , they may react rashly .
But I'm glad that the police officers were able to take care of it and that no one was hurt seriously in connection with this story . Now the follow up story . Again , everyone's getting ready for the holidays . Some people are embracing the Christmas spirit a little different than others .
Grinch stands out elementary school with Santa is fake sign , angering parents and scaring kids . This is one to make the naughty list . A killed joy Texas pastor stood outside an elementary school dressed as the Grinch , holding up a sign stating Santa is fake . Jesus is real , in an attempt to steal the holiday joy from the kids inside .
David Harold Grisham posed as the beloved Dr Seuss character in front of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School in Amarillo , texas , earlier this week , professing his belief toward the children and the parents he views as telling a lie .
The unjolly man claimed he was assaulted outside the school while the police showed up in force to distract him from his mission and blocked him from exercising my first amendment rights . As much as they could , grisham said in a Facebook post . Hundreds of children heard the message and many parents as well . He added .
It's very telling for a society to go this far in protecting a lie . To go that far in trying to protect kids from hearing the truth is no wonder our country is in trouble Now . The video in connection with this story is gripping , so let me know what you guys think about this . Excuse me , sir , ma'am , stay in your car . Please Stay in your car .
Got your license plate number . Got your license plate . We shouldn't lie to children . You shouldn't lie to children . Grisham can be heard saying , before a man grabs his sign , rips it and throws it to the ground , as was considered in the video . Grisham then begged the man to get away from my stuff before threatening to get his license played .
The school's principal said Grisham was unwanted and uninvited and the interesting thing about this particular story is the police made no arrest because they say Grisham did not break any laws in connection with the stunt he pulled . I would say nothing other than wearing a silly costume and harassing young children . This is my entire perspective .
Everyone is entitled to believe what they like to believe . There is nothing that is going to move me or motivate me to push my viewpoint on other people , cause them disrespect and connection with certain things that they're involved in .
If you want to celebrate holidays and people want to get involved in certain particular things , let these people do what's going to bring them some comfort and joy in the end . Am I pushing a celebrating holiday one way or the other ? Absolutely not . That's a personal choice for everyone to decide , but my personal choice .
I'm just not going to force that on anyone , because sometimes it doesn't always work out in our favor . This next story , though , finds itself on the edge of gripping . We're following up in connection with a previous story Riley High School student killed and stabbing identified by family , and classes resumed that following . Thursday .
The 15 year old student who was killed in a stabbing at South East Riley Magnet High School has been identified by his mother . Delvin Ferrell was one of two students stabbed on Monday at the school . According to his mother , the other student was taken to a local hospital but is expected to survive . A 14 year old has been charged with murder in the case .
The school was put on lockdown until the end of the school day as police investigated on campus . Classes have resumed . Counselors will be made available to students and staff at the school when classes resume . There will be additional law enforcement and security personnel on campus .
Thursday , the school noted that it will hold a family and community forum on December the 4th , from 6.30pm to 8.30pm , which was yesterday , to provide people a space to ask questions or share concerns . When I come across these stories and these stories are brought to my desk , and I have to be able to express my condolences to the family involved .
It takes a great deal of emotional stress , or emotional strength , rather , to be able to express to you guys just how devastating it is to be able to cover these stories .
This individual that was killed , delvin , was some 15 years old and the sad part about it is , although the kid 14 year old in this matter is going to jail , as it were , or being tried for murder in this case , that doesn't bring the family justice . That doesn't do anything for the family . It drives persons to be depressed .
Some people can't really rationalize what it's like when you're dealing with different types of death . For example , some people have the opportunity to come to terms with the fact that they're going to lose a relative . Perhaps they have cancer or they're dealing with some type of other terminal illness .
But when a relative is ripped away in such a nasty manner , and then , to add on to that , they're young and they have some vibrance in life or could have been able to accomplish so much in life , it does emotionally devastate you as an individual . I know that the family can continue to persevere during this . Guys .
Feel free to reach out as best you can , talk to someone . Don't let the feelings linger , and continue to do the best that you can each and every day as you strive to find some sort of normalcy in this tragic circumstance . In this follow up story , we're dealing with another act of violence in connection with young people .
Today , it just seems that young people are just so angry and just so violent and prone to doing things that are just crazy and heinous . And I talk to some of the people at my job and they'll say to me well , it really starts with the parents , and I can agree 100% . In some aspects it does , but in some aspects it's just a matter of free will .
Administrators ignored warnings before Georgia middle schoolers stabbed fellow student . Lawsuit claims . We're going now to Georgia . Administrators at a Georgia middle school ignored multiple warnings before a student stabbed a classmate over a dozen times , leaving her with catastrophic injuries .
According to a lawsuit filed this month , in March , a knife-wielding student stabbed a classmate in gym class at least 14 times across her face , head , neck , shoulder , back and chest . The lawsuit claims All our middle school administrators failed to act , even though they'd been warned that the student had brought a knife to school and was threatening classmates .
According to the suit , the lawsuit also says that on the day of the attack , teachers saw the assault , assailant bullying the victim , but didn't intervene . What tragedy . Notice how this was developed in the following video . This is what happens when administrators don't follow the policies and procedures they're required to follow .
A spokesperson for the Henry County school system said Wednesday that the district does not comment on ongoing lawsuits . Superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis said the day after the attack that the victim was seriously injured . After an argument turned physical , she added that the school district was working with the Henry County Police Department to investigate .
A representative for the police department could not immediately be reached for comment . This is indeed tragic . The lawsuit alleges that a student resource officer told administrators the day before the assault that a student had threatened to attack peers with a knife .
The next day , another resource officer told administrators as well that the same student brought a knife and had threatened to use it . According to the suit , the victim's mother has made mention that the attack left her daughter unrecognizable . When you look at these photos here , you can really see the hate , the rage and the aggression in connection with her peer .
It's very , very tragic . It's devastating . Even your mom has to Now coat with , but her daughter as well has to deal with . Wilson is seeking damages covering her daughter's medical expenses and pain and suffering . Paperworks submitted by the plaintiff's attorneys notifying district personnel about the lawsuit indicates damages may meet or exceed $3 million .
The violent street that young people are on today is indeed dangerous , and the sad part about it is it's not waking parents up . I'm not going to sit here and tell you guys that parents are 100% responsible in every single case , because earlier it was mentioned that in that particular case , it starts with the parents .
Yes , 100% , but there are times where children will go off on their own free will make choices , even though they come from good , stable environments .
But often times you'll find that it's because of a lack of love in the home environment that children are running into these dangerous lifestyles , and if no one steps up to tell that child that they're loved and cared about or that they're valued a person that is a member of society that is valued then they're going to continue to unleash these acts of rage ,
frustration and aggression on their peers and sometimes teachers . In this next story , though , a mother wanted to get a closer look as to what was happening in the school . Now the method in which she tried to acquire this . I would not recommend that anyone follow A mom posed as her daughter at school . She was convicted of trespassing .
Going back now to Texas , of course , casey Garcia walked into a Texx middle school in 2021 wearing a yellow marvel hoodie , nike sneakers and a black face mask . She attended classes that day until school was nearly over , but during one of the last periods a teacher noticed she wasn't a 13 year old student .
She was a 30 year old mother impersonating her daughter . School employees reported Garcia to authorities a few days later and she was ultimately charged with criminal trespassing .
But Garcia , who posted a video of her day at school that quickly went viral , said in a follow up video that she was only trying to expose what she considered an adequate protocols meant to protect students from school shootings .
Last week in El Paso County , criminal jury found Garcia guilty of criminal trespassing , a misdemeanor , and sentenced the 33 year old to 6 months of probation . Garcia faces a $700 probated fine and must serve 100 hours of community service .
There may be some people who don't agree that mom should have met this outcome or that things should have went a little bit more smoothly in her case , but there's one thing I always try to tell my kids that I come in contact with at work . You cannot fix the problem by creating another problem .
In fact , einstein said we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that we had when we created them . And so if mom had an issue or thought that there was some danger or some threat , why on earth would she try to breach the system by going undercover , causing persons to be uneased , might even question her mental capacity and faculties ?
And then now she finds herself in a circumstance and so she has a child , obviously , and so you have to think and meditate on the question how is this going to affect my child ? As a parent , you always have to think how is it going to affect my child ? Today , one of my coworkers asked me she said she said do you and your wife want kids ?
And I've been through this with you guys 100 times . Right now we're , you know , just married , coming on our fourth year in August and kids . Right now we're taking it easy , as it were . You know , no harm , no foul .
¶ Teen Killings and Guns in Schools
But I may mention to her that one of the things in connection with having children that many people don't realize is that you have to be proactive as a parent . You're like a superhero . You're like a superhero , you're never off duty . If there's crime , batman is going out there to save the day .
If there's a person out there intent on harming a good Samaritan , spider-man is right behind you . So a parent has to recognize first that if they want to have a child , there's going to be sacrificed , there's going to be responsibility that must take place for the benefit of that child . I've come to recognize that .
So at this moment no , I'm not in any rush to have a child , because I understand the dangers and the environment and the world that we live in today . That is going to take great sacrifice , is going to take great courage and definitely great responsibility in having a child .
So you just want to make sure that you're prepared for all of that before you just jump hastily at the thought of having a child . It's very , very important to be able to meditate as to the entire outcome of a decision before just jumping into one .
In this next story , we're going to find ourselves dealing with a teenager who's using social media for a purpose that does not end well for him . Suspected Teen Killer Brags On Instagram After Murder . Mother Watches Son Open Fire Washington . A suspected teen killer from DC bragged on an Instagram live stream days after allegedly murdering a 14-year-old boy .
According to a court report that also claims the suspect's mother watched as her son opened fire . Police arrested 17-year-old Lorenzo Thompson and charged him as an adult with second degree murder in connection with the November 3rd shooting that left Nico Step Dead .
Court report says Thompson was observed on an Instagram live stream on November 6th where he appeared to brag about the killing of the 14-year-old . The report says that in the video Thompson referenced Step by his nickname and said words to the effect that he had got him .
The court report also says Thompson showed no remorse in the video and appeared to celebrate with others while performing a reenactment of the shooting . Officers arrested Thompson on November 9th and say they recovered a 9mm magazine from a backpack that was inside his bedroom in a university place apartment .
The shooting happened in the parking lot of a gas station on 14th Street around 11.30pm and detectives say multiple surveillance cameras captured Thompson open fire that night and one particularly chilling image released in the report Thompson can be seen pointing at his weapon while a woman identified by police as his mother watches from just a few feet away .
After the shooting , officials say Thompson , his mother and another person fled the area to an apartment on university place . A step was able to run about a block away this is here our victim to the corner of 14th Street and Fairmont Street , where he collapsed in the middle of the street .
He was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later from his injuries . A second juvenile who was wounded in the shooting was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries . The investigation is continuing at this time . Police have recorded two , 43 homicides in the district so far this year , a 34% increase from last year .
To the family , to the ASTEP family , I am again tragically sorry for your loss . It's devastating . When you come across these stories , you see the spirit of people today . They're bent on murdering someone . They're bent on killing someone . This is insane , to say the least , guys .
And then when you think about the motive behind it , I know back in the day , during my parents' time , there was this thing about respect when it came to fighting someone that you may come in contact with , and respect was a big thing . You know , I throw my hands up , you throw your hands up .
I never would someone think in large amounts of cases , not saying that it didn't happen , but in large amount of cases was the intent to fight to kill someone . Oftentimes it was for respect , which may appear to be silly . Oftentimes it was just to defend yourself from a bully .
But now people are taking especially young ones are taking such a nonchalant approach to ending someone's life and that is the tragically scary part . And then for his mother to watch him shoot this gun here . This photo is gripping . I've never on this podcast seen anything so intense like this . It's devastating .
And then you call in to question the background of these persons , the ethnicity . You want people to have a certain perception of a particular race . But the problem is , if these things keep occurring , people are going to be afraid . People are going to be fearful for their very lives and that's where all of this is going to head .
If these persons don't start getting that assistance they need right away , they're going to continue to do things that make people scared and make some people fearful .
And this next story again we find ourselves coping with another tragic circumstance surrounding young persons and just the things that they have to deal with and just trying to go to school for the day . He's bleeding real bad . 15 year old shot near local middle school , dayton . A 15 year old was hospitalized after being shot in Dayton Saturday night .
The shooting happened in the first block of Willowood Drive near Edwin Joelle Brown Middle School around 5.40 PM . New Center 7 previously reported it happened on West Fairview Avenue which crosses with Willowood Drive . Shots were fired . My cousin is lying on the ground , a 911 caller told Montgomery County dispatchers .
The caller said two people tried to rob his cousin before one shot him . He's bleeding real bad . There's blood all over his shirt . The caller said Two suspects ran from the scene through houses on Willowood Drive . According to dispatch records , the teen , identified as a 15 year old in dispatch records , was taken to an area hospital .
At this moment there are no updates in connection with this story other than the fact that it's just heinous . These things that young persons are having to endure are things that are just unheard of . Now , if you guys are familiar with this person that was injured in connection with this school , please watch out for yourself , guys .
There are a lot of young people today , teenagers , who think that these things are thrilling . It's nice to be in the news and I know that person and that's my school . Well , that's not the reason why these things are coming to you guys .
They're coming to you because at some point , you guys are going to hit that cross road in your life and you're going to have to make choices . Circumstances like this serve as a reminder of just how wicked and how bad this world is that we live in . Well , as young people , you have your whole life ahead of you .
There's so much that you can acquire and do . Don't waste your time . Don't get caught up in things .
Not saying this particular case , this was a tragic accident , possibly of unforeseen occurrence , but don't let things getting the way of you being the best person that you can be , because the sad part about it is , if you do , then you're going to find yourself lost , alone , devastated , and eventually your life is just going to go back full circle .
In this next story , again , we see a young person's gone wild on social media , one of the things that I just find to be quite humorous . Parents give their kids these devices . They give their kids these tablets and these phones , laptops , et cetera , and no one ever stops to monitor what their child is doing .
So in this next story , notice how this individual decides to use social media . Social media post leads to gun found on 12 year old girl at Columbus Middle School . Columbus , ohio . A 12 year old girl found with a gun and a 13 year old boy found with a BB gun at a middle school are facing charges .
Columbus police responded to the 200th block of North 22nd Street after a post on Instagram showed two students with guns at Champion Middle School . Police said school officials identified the students and brought them to the office . A concealed unloaded firearm was found on the 12 year old girl .
A BB gun , which police said looked like a real gun , was found on the 13 year old boy . The girl faces charges of illegal possession of a deadly weapon in a school zone and a CCW violation . The boy faces a charge of illegal possession of an object indistinguishable from a firearm in school . Both were taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center .
¶ Rising Concerns
So the question that I want to ask in connection with my commentary is who on earth gave them these devices ? If you're talking about a 12 year old , you're talking about a 13 year old . How on earth would they acquire such things they need to acquire ? Well , it goes back to mom and dad , or perhaps someone in the family .
These children are literally crossing their lives out before they can begin , you would think the expression goes oh wow , that person shouldn't do that because they have so much to lose .
Well , these young people today , they're facing these challenges , they're going through these tragedies and they're carrying themselves in a way that shows they don't care if they lose something or not . And the saddest part about it is , I don't think that some of the parents care if this happens .
I was talking just again to someone the other day and I told them that we have to realize that we live in a world , in an environment where people are extremely selfish . And the sad part about it is people are not going to stop to think or care about their child if they don't stop to think or care about themselves .
And it's sad because these children , these teens , these young adults , they did not ask to be here . They did not say to mom and dad hey , guess what ? I want ? To walk out of you two combined and into life , or walk out of mom and into life .
No , two people got together , whether it was on purpose , whether it was by one night of fooling around or just one night of partying , etc . And created a child .
And now this child is here and they're misguided , they're not getting the information they need , they're not getting the love that they need , they're not getting the discipline that they need , and they're growing up and they're adding to potential dangers of society today .
And that's the saddest part that you really start to meditate on when you come across these stories . Because can you really hold the kids responsible ? The article makes mention that they're charging these kids , but what are you going to do about their upbringing and their background ? Who's going to represent these kids ?
Who's going to stand up for them and let people know ? Hey , by the way , I'm this way because no one in my family decided to care . No one in my family extended that helping hand . No one in my family told me right from wrong .
Upringing has a lot to do with how kids thrive and survive in life today , and so that can make a stark difference between a child going to the left or to the right , and if there's no one there in the center to point out either direction for them , they're going to try to figure out by themselves .
They're going to try and strive to do things that it just seems ridiculous , but isn't that all the part of the childlike experience ?
The purpose of living as a child is to experience , but there are some experiences that a child should never go through and one of them is having to deal with actions that could have been prevented because of a lack of role model in their life . Here's another just statement , article or story that really covers or highlights what we just discussed here .
Guys , 13 year old brings gun to Rock Hill Middle School . The teen was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon on school property . We're going to Rock Hill , south Carolina . A 13 year old brought a gun in his jacket pocket to a Rock Hill Middle School Monday .
According to the Sheriff's Office , the teen was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon on school property . The incident happened at Castle Heights Middle School of Fire Tower Road . Deputy say a student saw something and said something and authorities found the boy had a firearm in his coat pocket .
The weapon was taken and cleared and no threats or targets were made at the school . The Sheriff's Office said In a note to the parents Monday , or two parents Monday . Principal Cynthia Robinson thanked the student who spoke out , elaborating . It is everyone's responsibility to keep the community safe .
If your student is feeling anxious or wants to speak with a counselor following today's incident , please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know .
And , guys , I do recommend strongly that you take that provision , that you take the help , because now , with school shootings being so prevalent and so frequent , you're going to naturally be afraid when you discover that one of your peers decided to bring a gun to school , and the saddest thing about this particular story is that you avoided this one scenario .
But what about the other ones that are just brewing behind the scenes ? Then you have to ask yourself what is making these young people bring these weapons to school . Are they dealing with bullying ? Are they dealing with social anxiety ? Are they dealing with teachers who are supposed to be helping them but are putting them in harm's way altogether ?
Those are the things that I find to be quite concerning in connection with these stories . If no one gets the facts or asks the questions , then what do you think is going to happen at the end of the day ? These children are going to be left to their own devices and they are going to fend for themselves .
So I just find it to be of interest that this is starting to become more of a frequent pattern . But if you guys were involved in this particular incident or story , talk to someone .
Do not let these moments pass you by and say things like I'm fine , I'm okay , it's alright , it's not alright , there is nothing okay with one of your classmates bringing in a weapon . That may make you feel threatened or may make you feel as though your life is in danger . I'm sure it's very scary for parents when they drop their kids off to school .
They have to worry every day and night if their child is going to make it home safely . These are things that you did not have to worry about when I was growing up , but now it's something so so serious , so so severe .
In fact , some parents have even resorted to putting their kids in bulletproof vests so that they can be able to feel some extra added comfort , because you just never know what situation is going to arise at the next particular time .
Now there are circumstances in connection with school violence that continue to permeate , continue to grow on the scene , but then there are other gruesome stories . That literally highlights a darker side of school , and this also is becoming an upcoming problem in connection with the educational facilities .
Cms High School teacher in court after arrest for sexual activity with student Charlotte . North Carolina , a science teacher at South Mecklenburg High School was arrested after she allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a student , police said Gabriella Neufeld , 26 , was arrested by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department on Wednesday .
Court records state that Neufeld and an 18-year-old student engaged in intercourse or a sexual act at least five times since October 18 . We take this matter seriously . South Peg Principal Mark Angara said in a message to families we share your concerns regarding the situation . The safety and security of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us all .
¶ Teacher Misconduct and School Violence
Neufeld is charged with five counts of felony sexual activity with a student . She was released from jail Thursday morning on a $75,000 unsecured bond . She faced a judge in her first court appearance Thursday afternoon , where she requested a public defender to represent her . She was accompanied by her family . A group of her students was also seen in court .
The student's mother was present for the court appearance . Via Webex , prosecutors said his mother found out about the relationship on Thanksgiving . They said she tracked his phone and noticed he was not at rugby practice on Wednesday , so she followed him to his location .
That's when prosecutors say she saw him having sex with his teacher in a car at Park Road Park in South Charlotte and called police . A judge ruled that Neufeld would be put on electronic monitoring and have no contact with the student she is accused of having sex with .
The interesting thing about that is it makes mention that she is accused of having sex with this particular individual . Mom saw them doing the horizontal mambo and still it has to go through proper legal channels .
That may be one of the most difficult things for young people to be able to meditate on , because some young people feel very grossed out , disrespected by these things happening Because there is a proper channel that this has to go through . It does add to the anxiety that some young people may face . For me it's very sad because this is an educator .
When you think about a teacher , you think about someone who is supposed to be a refuge , someone who is supposed to guide and instruct students on how to carry themselves . But the sad part about it is that you just don't know . You just don't know .
So now they are facing this situation where this particular teacher is literally involved in these sexual acts with the student and no matter what the consequence , no matter what they decide to do , it's not going to make a difference . The act has been done . Now comes time to recover . Now comes time to move forward .
Newfell faces a class G felony with a maximum sentence of 47 months . Although without a prior criminal record , she would not face the maximum time .
It's unusual in the sense that the normal sexual statutory offenses all deal with students or kids that are under the age of 16 , smith said , whereas the exception to this is that you can be at the age of consent , which an 18-year-old is , but if you have a sexual relationship with that person as a teenager , then you're committing a felony .
And the saddest part about it is that this is obviously a Brad Smith . He is a managing member of Arnold and Smith PLLC and he made that comment about the law surrounding sex with a student in North Carolina . And someone asked me well , he's 18 . She's a grown woman , is that okay ?
And she's against the law in many cases for a teacher to be involved with their student in such an unorthodox fashion . Well , we'll continue to see as to what happens as things develop , but it's not going to be an easy and simple ride . In connection with this case surrounding Ms Newfell , we're continuing to traverse these lines of stories here and again .
It's just another situation in which you have young violence escalating . Student 14 stabbed at Santa Rosa High School taken to hospital . A Santa Rosa High School student was stabbed after a fight involving two students on campus Wednesday morning .
Santa Rosa High School principal , dr Mark Ryan , said in a letter the stabbing happened around 8.30 am before classes began . Two Santa Rosa High School students were fighting near the football and baseball fields and one of them was carrying a large kitchen knife in his waistband .
According to the letter , the argument escalated and the student stabbed the other student in his side and back . The victim , 14 , suffered lacerations to both sides of his torso . According to the Santa Rosa Police Department , srpd believes this stabbing was an isolated incident and the two parties involved were from rival gangs .
The suspect 16 , carrying the knife was seen on school surveillance cameras leaving campus . Srpd detectives initiated a search of the suspect around 5.30 pm . He was located and arrested without incident at his residence on the 1400th block of West Avenue .
Authorities , via a search warrant served at the suspect's residence , recorded the knife used on the stabbing gang , clothing and a lower receiver for a Polymer-80 Ghost Gun . According to SRPD , photos of the seized items will be shown in this video .
As you look at the size of this knife , it's at least 7 inches and it's not a knife in which you're just accidentally cutting someone . It's ridiculous . This person was really , really contingent on bringing harm or possibly an end to someone's life . The victim called a family member after being stabbed .
The family took him to the hospital where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries . He has since been released from the hospital . Police said that is a relief . We are so happy to hear that this individual did not succumb to his injuries . The parent of the injured student notified school staff about 30 minutes after the stabbing took place .
Ryan said the school was not placed under lockdown because the student with the knife had already exited campus . The suspect was booked into Sonoma County Juvenile Hall for the following charges Assault with a deadly weapon , not a firearm . Minor in possession of a handgun , possession of a knife on a school campus and gang enhancement .
Neither the suspects nor the victims' names were released . Srpd is investigating the stabbing with the help of staff from Santa Rosa High School , staff in the Santa Rosa City High School District . Again , another chilling story , another gripping story of just how background can literally affect someone and damage another person's life .
I sometimes wonder if young people actually think about what they're doing before they do it Because if they were to take a moment to think about what they're doing , if they were to meditate for a minute about what they were feeling and what emotion they were trying to convey or are trying to convey , then they could lead a better way for tomorrow .
But rather than focus on that , rather than trying to be the best person you can be , you're doing things like this . And so now this boy has been stabbed . One boy is facing charges . What is the logic in connection with these incidences ? I know the article made mention that this was gang related , but why ? What is the concept ?
Of most of the times and this is not all of the time , but most of the times young ones turn to gangs because they're lacking emotional support .
If you are living your life , even if you do have parents at home , even if you do have individuals in your life that claim to care about you , and you don't feel that radiant care , you don't feel that love , you don't feel that endurance , that passion , that creativity in your life , then you're not going to embrace the family arrangement .
You're going to go into the streets and you're going to find support and love from what seems to be another source , which is a gang , or your peers , or a boyfriend or a girlfriend , or even a moral relations with a teacher or someone of an adult nature .
Children are often vulnerable because their emotions are still developing , still cultivating , and so they may think or reason differently because of the fact that they're not getting that guidance . It's really important and people often take it as a joke , but getting guidance is really important for young people , as expressed in this next story .
Social media hit list at Sharon High School prompts warning from police . This is Sharon , massachusetts . Authorities are investigating after a student at Sharon High School allegedly possessed a hit list . The list , or origins , allegedly stem from a TikTok trend called an ops list , where users threaten to harm certain people .
Investigators say they've been in contact with anyone named on the list and there is no ongoing threat . Law enforcement and professional counselors all assess the situation and ensure the appropriate measures were taken . According to school administrators , both the family and the student who allegedly possessed the list have been contacted by the police .
The contents of the list and alleged threats made on the list are unknown . Officers became aware of the situation on Friday after a parent notified school officials , something Superintendent Peter says is troubling . In unpacking the situation , we learned that some students had knowledge of the list and did not report it .
Both he and principal Kristen Kenan wrote in a letter sent to parents . The interesting thing here about this particular story is there are a lot of things that kids will do in connection with following trends , and my thing is what is the purpose of a trend ?
Because if you're not being true to yourself and you're not setting trends yourself , then what is the logic , what is the purpose , what is the promise at the end of it ? The interesting thing about trends and I'm going to be honest with you guys I hate trends . I hate , hate , hate , hate them . They trip your algorithm .
They some of them are often corny , corny and they don't really do much except provide some small amount of joy or enthusiasm for its viewer , and a lot of young people today are just not getting that from trends . Everyone wants to be liked , everyone wants to be cool , everyone wants to feel like they're doing something , as it were .
Well , if you want to do something , so bad , just be yourself . There's nothing wrong with being the person who you are and were created to be . The sad part about it is when you give up your creativity , when you let go of your passions , your drive , your enthusiasm for whatever it is out there , because you're trying to be like or please someone else .
¶ Being Authentic, Reckless Behavior Repercussions
When I'm driving my car , sometimes you know I'm driving through North New Jersey and I look out the window and I'll see different schoolers and I work with high schoolers or other cases All kids in my industry and you see them walking and I'm looking at these kids with their outfits and etc . Etc . And I'm thinking of myself . They all look alike .
Oftentimes mistaken identity develops because everyone is dressed the same . It's kind of like cartoons , right ? You ever see cartoons in which they're putting away their laundry or they have a stack of clothes , jeans or shirts on their bed . It's all the same clothes . Why ?
Well , because the animators are not going to draw different outfits , because that takes time and production . But that's not the same in real life .
Oftentimes young people dress the way others dress because they're insecure , they have low self-esteem , they're trying to impress somebody and the thing about it that I find to be funny is if Johnny is trying to impress Juan and Juan is trying to impress Kevin and Kevin is trying to impress Johnny , then it's a circle of no one impressing anyone because everyone is
trying to be like the other person . If you choose to be different , if you choose to be the person that you want to be , you will find genuine friends . But if you're trying to make a carbon copy of yourself or be a carbon copy of someone , you're not going to meet success . Guys , believe me , I've seen it , I've lived through it . It does not work .
It does not do anything for you or for the next person . Strive to be different . Strive to be the person that you know that you can be , and watch as your results in life grow wider . You'll be able to experience that joy and love from a different group of people .
You'll be able to connect with different segments of life , such as art , culture , different elements of entertainment , different elements of music . There's a lot more genres to listen to out there , guys , than rap and Drake .
When you think about music and when you think about being true to yourself , strive to be able to analyze what's really inside of yourself , and then that way you can continue to be the best person that you can be . You can continue to grow into that individual that will make you , and only you , proud one day . Well , guys , we're going to wine down here .
We are literally coming towards the end of our show . I mean it's amazing just how fast an hour can just blow on this segment , but again , it's my greatest pleasure to be here .
Guys , there is nothing more refreshing than when I turn my camera on Tuesday and I throw on my RED shirt and I put on my RED cap and I look at that sign in the back and that sign is literally calling out to every viewer that clicks on this video , to every viewer that's tied into this podcast . That sign is shining bright for you .
So anybody who comes in contact with these videos , anybody who comes in contact with my page , you guys are family , you guys are loved in church , and I will continue to say that and repeat that as we traverse through the many , many crazy stories that we have in the upcoming year of 2024 .
Here's our next one 13 year old , arrested in Pinellas County after threatening school shooting in group chat . Again , another story in connection with a young person being reckless on social media . And the interesting thing about this particular story that I just find to be smile worthy is his response to police when he gets caught .
Palm Harbor , florida , a car wise middle school student was arrested on Saturday . According to deputies , officials say the 13 year old sent messages in a group chat via snapchat to another student about participating in a school shooting . According to deputies , the teen threatened to shoot the student , who later told his parents about the messages .
First , if he reported the incident to anyone , the student's parents notified law enforcement . According to officials , deputies say the 13 year old admitted to sending the messages when they went to his home . However , he claimed he was joking . After the investigation , the middle schooler was arrested and charged with written threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting .
He was taken to the Pinellas juvenile assessment center . Anyone with information on any threats is asked to notify the Pinellas county sheriff's office . Here's the number , guys , at 727-582-6200 . This is a perfect case , this story of the boy who cried school shooting .
Now , it's obviously a rendition of the boy who cried sheep , but in this case , the boy who cried sheep wasn't as reckless as the boy who cried school shooting .
There are things that I find to be humorous as a YouTuber , as a podcaster , but I don't find or delight in joking about the killing or destroying someone's life when you make jokes like this , guys , let's just put this in perspective for my young viewers who are tuning in each and every week . Put this in perspective for a minute .
Let's just say and we're not hoping that this happens , we're not striving that this happens , but we're just trying to create the picture here . Let's just say you lost your mother to cancer . You fought the battle with your mother as best you could . She wasn't able to overcome it , she succumbed to the cancer and this is a hallmark stamp in your life .
You remember your mother died from cancer and she's no longer with you . Well , just imagine if a friend of yours a friend , I say , or a classmate , decided to make jokes about parents who have cancer . Well , it wouldn't be funny . Well , why not ? It wouldn't be funny because the perspective changes .
Rather than this being a circumstance in which you're talking about your scenario as a third party , or it's not your personal circumstance , you'll be offended because it affects you directly . Well , similarly , when jokes are made about school shootings , when jokes are made about killing someone , etc .
There are actual people on this planet who have lived through those heinous , disgusting incidences and when they hear these stories , it triggers them , it brings back negative memories . So just imagine if it was your loved ones in connection with those stories . Well , guys , this is going to bring us to our final story of the night .
I can't believe we have literally raced through over 14 stories and just a short amount of time . Again , just love , love , being here with you . Guys . Here is our final , final story , and I'm not going to say the story is interesting , but it is one that will have you hugging the side of your cheek .
Florida teacher's assistant arrested after allegedly slapping middle schooler inside classroom . A Florida middle school teacher's assistant was arrested for allegedly slapping a student inside a classroom before Thanksgiving break .
According to arrest records obtained by Fox 35 , orlando Galloway , 61 , slapped a student in the face during class at Ustis Middle School on November the 17th . The principal then notified the students parents .
According to the local station , the incident allegedly happened when students were playing a game involving drawing a turkey and were not supposed to look at the paper . The student reportedly told police that he did look at which point Galloway allegedly hit him .
The incident allegedly happened when students were playing a game involving drawing a turkey and were not supposed to look at the paper . The student reportedly told police that he did look at which point Galloway allegedly hit him . Galloway reportedly then pulled the student to the side and apologized .
A school official said to have told the students parents they would handle the situation and called them later to follow up , but reportedly never did . An officer reviewed surveillance video of the incident after the child's parents reported it . Two other students corroborated the victim's story about what happened , according to Fox 35 .
Galloway is still employed by Lake County Schools , according to Fox 35 , but is no longer in a role working with students . The district did not immediately respond to a Fox News digital request for comment . The student involved is 14 years old Now . So this is one of the things that drives people crazy .
Right , because and again , I'm not going to pull cards based on prejudice and whatnot but how is this woman still working in the school , even though she's not working with children ? Would you trust this woman in an environment around kids ? Because what's to stop her from work ? Like where else would you put her ? That's my question .
And so schools have to be careful , too , that when they respond to problems that are a threat , or when they respond to problems that are unwholesome , or when they they take action , they want to make sure that they take action in connection with the perception of the situation it was .
It was really no need for this teacher Galloway to slap a student for something so small . And then the fact that the student is practically grown here . When I , when I saw this , I used this middle school I'm thinking , okay , we're talking about a kid on the younger side of the fence , but you're talking about someone that's almost 15 years old .
You said this is it may mention . Excuse me , this is a 14 year old here . I just find that to be so shocking . And and the teacher should be happy that the 14 year old did not assault them back , because that's one of the things that teachers don't necessarily take into consideration per se .
They think it's a joke like oh , I'm going to hit you and there's nothing you can do about it . But what if the parent perhaps would have came into the situation and just punched the teacher in the face ? That probably wouldn't have worked out for anyone the parent , the student nor the teacher .
So when schools are handling these circumstances , they have to keep in mind the dynamic of the child .
They never want the kid to feel as though discipline is being brushed under the rug under the rug , or you never want the child to feel as though they're not loved or cared about , because that too can add to the stress , the demand and personal decisions that children are going to make . Well , guys , that's all the stories we have for this particular episode .
