Episode description

CASTING DIRECTORS - Successful actors have agents, managers and publicists to help guide their careers. Until now, no classes, workshops or programs have provided that guidance to actors who are just launching their careers. College To Career Acting was formed by two successful casting directors, Wendy Kurtzman and Caroline Liem who have 35 years of collective experience in theatre, film and television. Their focus is to fill the void of the two areas and time periods of an young actor's career that is being under served: From High School To College - From College To Show Business. Their objective of College To Career Acting is to get young actors to start thinking about crafting their careers - to help them get into the college of their choice, stay pro-active during college and then help with the transition into the entertainment business. As casting directors and coaches, with personal knowledge from both sides of the acting process, CTCA will help you identify and create a personalized game plan geared to get you from where you are to where you want to be, from College To Career. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS INCLUDE: What do your classes on college to career acting cover and why should students take your classes over going to just plain old casting director workshops, acting classes, etc? What are some of the mandatory things an actor needs to know that they don't get from their acting classes at college? On your website you state that successful actors have agents, managers and publicists to help guide their careers. How did they achieve their success without having the guidance and knowledge that you both now offer? WEBSITE: CTCActing.com
