CASTING DIRECTOR - Ty Harman is a Casting Director who has worked in various positions of the entertainment industry his entire career. Ty started in the business as an actor, but found that he was more interested in working behind-the-scenes. This discovery lead to a position as a Development Executive for Kim Basinger's Mighty Wind Productions. Under the tutelage of the legendary Talent Agent Ed Limato, Ty was offered and accepted the job of Talent Agent at ICM. However, after several years, Ty sought a more creative endeavor and took the position offered to him of Casting Executive for the Fox Network. While there, he helped cast shows for: 90210, MELROSE PLACE, ALLY MCBEAL and The X FILES. Ty has also been a Casting Executive at Universal Television and TNT. As an Independent Casting Director, Ty has worked on the: AMERICAN PIE franchise, HBO's GENERATION KILL and the television series' WAREHOUSE 13, ALPHAS, THE GAME, GIRLFRIENDS and too many pilots to mention. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS INCLUDE: What are a person's chances making as a working actor if they're just starting their career and they're over 40 years old? What is the best advice you can give to a young aspiring actor? Middle-Aged Actor? Senior Actor? What can an actor do that would make their audition memorable?
