Episode description

HIV and AIDS have had a huge impact on the LGBTQI and nonbinary communities. Not only did the disease wipe out an entire generation of people, individuals in power created a stigma around the disease that further decreased access to care. It’s taken years to improve the medical and societal implications of this disease. But I am a cup is half empty kind of person and my work in sexual health allows me to educate and dispel stigma around current HIV infection. Today’s show focuses on how far we’ve come as a medical community and a queer community. We’ll focus on the amazing medical strides we’ve made by discussing medications in depth. I’d like to dedicate this episode to the many individuals who were lost in this terrible epidemic. We promise to continue fighting to decrease stigma and end HIV/AIDs. ***Full transcript here***
