It's just like, wow. Yeah, especially after all that shit talking Trump was doing about all these countries. And it's like, bitch, they're still coming to help us. Right? It probably would have looked different if he was in office. Yeah, that's probably true, right?

I don't know. I think people still would have showed up and came out. I think so. They would have, but would he have accepted it? I mean, I feel like Gavin would have. Yeah. Does he have to or did the state accept it? I have no idea how any of this works. Yeah, I believe that the state, the governor, is the first main contact for disasters that happen in that state, then they reach out to the president to see if there's any other additional funding or resources that the state could benefit from.

It was like, she was a mom and her daughter go to school and was like, what are you doing? But also L.A. County also voted no for rent cap. Then people was complaining about like, oh, like there's no resources for the firefighters. But y'all wanted to not defund the police. Y'all didn't want to defund the police. Y'all wanted the money to go to the police. but now that money went from the firefighters to the police department so who's fighting the fires the firefighters and criminals that the police put away so what that's what y'all wanted right.

It doesn't make sense to me i mean even if like with all the like explanations they're giving for like why it was allegedly cut the funding was cut it's like these fires are growing like more and more every single year you act like this is a brand new thing that we don't know about exactly like you should have done over prepared how many times have we like been underprepared happens literally every every time like why you is not right and but they don't do anything to not under prepare

like how about you prepare by i don't know i guess paying these firefighters more so people have more incentive to be a firefighter since apparently we're lacking so many we're always like out of firefighters really get firefighters from wherever the fuck from mexico and canada so it's like why don't you just like pay them more so people are incentivized to get into those jobs right and then also like have this shit on lock bitch like make new systems like

So they were saying that the LA fire department had a glitch in their system sending out the alerts that it sent about the whole la county versus the areas where the fires were happening yeah i heard that too i had i knew i know someone who got uh four warnings and two were were wrong so they were not they were misinformation i got two or three i'm not sure three warnings while i was driving to work but My work was in closer to the Pasadena area,

but I mean, that area wasn't being evacuated, but I kept getting alerts on my phone and I was driving. So I'm like, where are you tracking me to alert me that I am? I'm confused. Where needs to be alert? What the fuck is going on? How do you know? Do you so... What? What?

Yeah i think it definitely highlighted a lot of like uh places we need improvement on i was gonna say because if you saw that fucking car lineup that they had on in hollywood oh i saw that shit i'm like bitch if we have a fucking the big one and what is it 0.7.2 yeah it really was you know how many fucking places are having like huge ass fucking earthquakes a lot of them and it's like bitch and y'all been complaining about the big one

So a lesbian bar, the Ruby Fruit, has announced its closure because of the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. The closure leaves only one lesbian bar in the city.

According to CNN, at least 24 people have died since the flames took hold, while more than 92,000 Los Angeles County residents are under evacuation orders. The Eaton and Palisade fires are said to be among the most destructive in California history. The owners of the Ruby Fruit, Emily and Mara, said that the financial impact of the disaster had forced them to close. They hoped the bar, which opened in February 2023, would not disappear permanently. Not goodbye.

Hopefully this is just a see you later, they said. The devastation felt within our small community, as well as the unfathomable destruction that continues day after day, is truly beyond comprehension. They wrote on Instagram, sadly along all the feelings and grief and shock we have experienced over the past few days also come this undeniable reality. California Governor Gavin Newsom has said the wildfires will be one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history. So Donald Trump announced on Friday that he would nominate white white well that's true white right wing lesbian Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce as the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State a role that doesn't require Senate confirmation.

Excuse me in a January 3rd truth truth social post Trump described Bruce as a highly respected political analyst, who, after being a liberal activist in the 1990s, saw the lies and fraud of the radical radical left and quickly became one of the strongest conservative voices on radio and television. According to the Department of State's official website, the office of the spokesperson is tasked with communicating U.S. Foreign policy objectives both within the country and abroad.

As trump alluded to on true social bruce wasn't always a right wing figure she served yeah so she served as head of the los angeles chapter of the national organization for women which is called now from about 1990 to 1996 and became the first openly gay woman in the united states to host the mainstream talk radio show with the Tammy Bruce show.

Bruce was later denounced by Now and fired from her radio job after she vocally protested OJ Simpson's 1995 acquittal, leaking the case of domestic violence in a way that Black feminists and civil rights groups said minimized the racism that also surrounded coverage of Simpson. After being censored by Now due to racial insensitive statements in 1995, Bruce pivoted, to increasingly conservative features of, I mean, ventures, sorry.

She penned a 2000 Los Angeles Times op ed defending anti-gay media personality, Dr. Laura Schroesinger. Absolute right to state her opinion after Gled called on Paramount to counsel her show, Dr. Laura in 2022. Bruce published her book, The New Thought Police, which purports to expose a dangerous rise of left-wing McCarthyism. Most recently, she has become known for her work as a Fox News contributor, a position in which she used her platform to, among other things, lobby against pride ads.

In 2023, she argued that corporate pride commercials really do damage to the gay and lesbian community. During an appearance on the network show, Hannity, fuck Hannity, She has also railed against forms that ask people to either their pronouns calling them forced speech I think most of the audience knows i'm a gay woman. Bruce said at the time.

It's not about homophobia It's about everything being politicized having messages political messages of any type being pushed to tune us None of us want that no matter what your sexual orientation or your race or your background is You also might have seen her make headlines in 2021 after making the bizarre claim that a $247 billion bill that the Senate had recently passed was actually a push by Democrats to fund research centered on the creation of human-animal hybrids.

Biden's protections for LGBTQ plus students are now blocked nationwide by them, by James Vectora. A federal judge in Kentucky has blocked the Biden administration's proposed changes to Title IX, which would have provided some federal protections for LGBTQ plus students. U.S. Judge Danny C. Reeves issued his decision on the proposed rules on Thursday, calling the changes fatally tainted by legal shortcomings, per NBC News.

Reeves issued a decision temporarily blocking the rules from enforcement last summer. The latest decision permanently vacates the Title IX charges, according to legal publication J.D. Supra. The rule was already blocked in 26 states, all of which had signed onto lawsuits challenging the title, the challenges to Title IX in August 2024. But Reeves' ruling meant that the Title IX changes appear to be blocked nationwide per J.D.

Supra. In his 15-page decision, Reeves claimed that the proposed changes, the proposed changes to Title IX violate the Constitution.

He wrote that Title IX recipients would be compelled to use names and pronouns associated with a student's asserted gender identity which would violate freedom of speech put simply the first amendment does not permit the government to chill speech or compel affirmance of a belief which the speaker disagrees in this manner he wrote so they're over here being like being transphobic is freedom of speech basically wow like you can't force me

So, in December, Biden administration withdrew its rule changes that would have provided some protections for trans student-athletes, though schools still would have been allowed to develop regulations for sports that would limit trans-athletes' participation. The New York Times and other outlets wrote that this movie was likely intended to make it more difficult for incoming President Donald Trump to change federal rules on trans-student-athletes.

In a statement to NBC News, Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skirmiddy celebrated Reeves' ruling, calling it a rejection of the Biden administration's relentless push to impose a radical gender ideology. Because the Biden rule is vacated altogether, President Trump will be free to take a fresh look at our Title IX regulations when he returns to office, Skirmiddy said to NBC.

Trump said in December's speech that it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female. Okay? Like, that's not up to you, bitch. That's not even fucking history. That's not science. Much of his campaign was built on anti-trans rhetoric, including that trans rights have ripped apart our country. He's also previously promised to keep men out of women's sports, referring to trans women and girls participating in gender sports.

So, yeah. Well... But like, I guess I'm just curious too, in terms, because they're supposedly going to dismantle the Department of Education, right? So, oh, never mind, I answered my question in my head. I was like, how's this going to get enforced? But the reality, what this does is stops students and parents from suing the school district. Right. That makes sense. But I think transphobia is running rampant. Because look at, do you hear about the transgender community?

Bathroom ban that has gone into effect at the Capitol. Is it the same one that was like the Nancy Mace? The McBride, yeah. Right. So under a policy renewed on Friday by House Speaker Mike Johnson, transgender people will be prohibited from using single-sex bathrooms that correspond with their gender in areas belonging to the House of Representatives. The policy, which states that all single-sex facilities, such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms, are reserved for individuals of that biological sex, is now in full effect.

Although earlier reports indicated that the policy was not officially part of the House rules package passed on Friday during the first session, the ban was listed among Speaker Johnson's policies for the 119th Congress as reflected in the Congressional Record, a daily count of the congressional proceedings. According to the congressional record, the policy will be enforced by the sergeant-at-arms and applies to areas of the Capitol subject to the Speaker's general control.

This includes the House chamber, the hallways, the pathways in the Capitol designed for House use, and any unassigned rooms in the area per the House rules. While this will be enforced by the sergeant at arms it's still unclear how they attend to do so.

Because i have a question how many motherfucking sergeant at arms do y'all have for the motherfucking capital right because i mean you would have to have some on the floor in the hallways in the turnabout in the bathroom right what how the hell like you don't have enough firefighters and you the fuck right right i'm pretty much a fucking.

So according to Chapman in Truth Out, he said that trans people have been working on the Hill for years and their bathroom usage has never been an issue. They say that this was clearly an attempt to retaliate against Representative McBride for her status as a transgender person.

And in November, McBride disappointed many transgender activists by saying she would comply with the anti-trans policy.

Stating, i'm not here to fight for bathrooms in a statement mcbride has a private bathroom in her office and had previously stated that she planned to avoid using multi-stall women's restrooms likely to avoid this specific issue what if she just like goes into the men's restroom full full fish so what yeah i'm getting your bathroom now right now you're gonna get more pissed because now i mean you're in the right bathroom, allegedly to you. And then, now what?

Eight members of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department including multiple sergeants have been reportedly fired amid allegations of a cover-up centering on the 2023 police beating of a transgender man the los angeles times reported last week that former deputy joseph benza the third and seven others in the department have been all recently that But let me start over.

The Los Angeles Times reported last week that former deputy Joseph Benza III and seven others in the department have all been relieved of duty, according to six anonymous sources within the sheriff's office. The firings came less than two weeks after Benza reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors in which he admitted to following and assaulting the 23-year-old Emmett Brock for raising his middle finger at Benza while driving past him. As part of last month's plea agreement, Benza admitted to all factual allegations made by prosecutors, including details of an alleged cover-up within the sheriff's department that begins as Benza was still pursuing Brock.

As he followed Brock's car, the agreement states that Benza called another deputy and told him he was just going to stop Brock because he had just flipped him off, even though raising one's middle finger is legally protected free speech under the U.S. Constitution. I didn't know that. Great.

Everyone's all for free speech until it's against them exactly after tailing brock to a gas station benza threw brock to the ground and began beating him so severe that brock suffered serious bodily injury including a concussion heavy bruising and cuts his body brock was initially jailed on a hundred thousand dollar bond and charged with mayhem and resisting arrest, No, no, no, no. That's what they charged the trans man. Oh, never mind.

But was declared factually innocent by a judge last year. Oh, wow. When compiling his report, according to the agreement, Benza spoke with a sergeant and another deputy of what information to include. The sergeant counseled Benza to omit that he began tailing Brock after being flipped off.

Two other sergeants are also said in agreement to have counseled benza to omit the fact that from the incident report indeed benza's report did not mention the information or his subsequent use of force instead misleadingly claiming that he stopped brock because of an air freshener in his rearview mirror what the fuck so that's why he beat his ass later to the sergeant who told first told benza to omit information from his report to also

told him to toss the phone which Benza understood to be an instruction to delete cell phone data prior to an investigation. Benza and other deputies... Okay, okay. Anyways, Benza and other deputies are set in agreement to have discussed lying to federal authorities to cover up the truth. Other conspirators in the alleged LAUSD cover-up were not named in Benza's plea agreement.

An LASD spokesperson confirmed that Benza had been fired in a statement to CNN last week, but did not officially confirm any of the other dismissed former members' identities or how many had been fired. It's possible that the unnamed deputies and sergeants could still be rehired at other law enforcement agencies, as is common in cases of misconduct. Because this is America.

Benza currently faces a maximum of sentence of 10 years in prison, though his attorney, Tom Yu, told The Times that he will ask the court to place Benza on probation. On probation? No, no, no, no. Last September, LASD relieved several deputies from duty in connection with federal investigation from the U.S. Attorney's Office, as the Times also reported.

It's not clear whether those firings were related to the Brock case or to another federal investigation earlier that month. Another LASD deputy, Trevor James Kirk, was also charged with deprivation of rights under color of law for allegedly assaulting and pepper-spraying a black woman who was accused of shoplifting. I just feel very lucky you've gotten justice for this when there's a lot of survivors of that who don't.

So I'm just greatly appreciative of that, Brock told NBC News last month following the news of Benz's plea deal. It's my lifelong wish that people in law enforcement live up to their public statements, that they disapprove of this kind of felonious behavior, and they will hold their employees accountable because I can give you 100 cases in which they said that nobody went to jail. Benza is scheduled to reappear before the court to formally plead guilty on

The new guideline now permits language that includes or insults individuals based on sex, gender or sexual orientation, citing topics like transgender rights, immigration and homosexuality as justifications for social discourse.
