Oct 07 2022 - Catalyst Committee Interview With Councillor Hawkins

The Catalyst Committee was formed in July to develop a long-range plan for the siting and financing of a new downtown hockey arena to replace the Brandt Centre, a new aquatic centre to replace the Lawson, and a new, pro-quality baseball facility to replace the Red Sox’s home at Currie Field. It will also be considering the plans to rebuild the main branch of the library.

The Catalyst Committee will be starting public consultations about all of these projects in mid-October so we cornered committee co-chair, Councillor Bob Hawkins, and peppered him with questions about what the Catalyst Committee has been doing.
