Episode 23 is finally here, after a short hiatus Quarantine Call With Shieldless Mag is back with a very special episode featuring Tyrone Olson! Tyrone is a legendary professional skateboarder from Madison, Wisconsin who moved to San Diego in the early 90s to pursue a career skating. He also helped organize one of the largest rolling protests in the country last weekend called Rolling For Rights SD. We reflect on the success of the protest, as well as hear about some of Tyrone’s personal thoughts and experiences with racism. We also talk about growing up in Wisconsin, being in the legendary video The Storm, and starting his own company Scarred Skateboards.
