Hi, Anne Corbin, your Mind Body Spirit Mentor. I'm here with this week's episode of the mind body spirit connection. You are a complex being composed of 3 parts, mind, body, and spirit. Just get those 3 parts working together in harmony Anne upscale your life. I'm here to show you how. My body, my choice, you're probably familiar with that cry of liberation. You, no doubt associate it with these rather militant women who are marching for their right to have abortions.
The slogan, my body, my choice was adopted by Anne Parenthood, which is the American Movement the pro abortion movement, and they've been so, financially successful that they appear to have a clinic kill a cry of my body, my choice, I ask myself why it has not been acceptable to apply exact the same logic to the question of to vaccinate or not to vaccinate. My body my choice Anne came from the Nuremberg code, which was, adopted after the Famous Nuremberg Trials.
In 1947, it was all a bit of a show, actually, but the idea was to stop medical experiments being carried out on people who were not in a position stand up for themselves or even people who didn't appreciate what was going on. Voluntary informed consent was declared critical. And there were 10 standards, listed to which physicians had to add here when carrying out experiments on human subjects. So this was long accepted as ethical medical behavior. Appropriate to the post World War 2 ethos.
And communities who were aware of their human rights and so on. Risks had to be weighed against expected benefits, and there was to be no unnecessary pain or suffering. No fraud no Corbin, and no mandates. Oh, and just thinking about the famous Hippocratic Oath, the Part of that, that just about everybody can quote, is first do no harm. I saw a short video recently, which was a summary of 1 health care workers story. She was a nurse with 15 years of experience.
And all through the so called pandemic, she worked her 12 hour shifts and stayed healthy although she was unvaccinated. She managed to come through lack of PPE at times having to get a week's use out of a single mask, and at time wearing bin bags when the supply of aprons and the other kit that they were ran out. When the vaccines were rolled out, these nurses, all the medical staff were warned, that they would lose their jobs if they did not submit.
And what's more, they wouldn't be fired They were ordered to resign. So the whole thing would look as though it was voluntary Anne according to the letter of the law, when you have resigned, you are not in a position to claim any benefits. And the result of this is that 100 them chose to cut off their their, only means of support My body, my choice, indeed. Now, I've spoken before, some length about our natural immunity. Health is our birthright.
For the majority, simple regular practices, incorporating exercise, fresh air, sunshine, contact with nature, Anne a healthy balanced diet, of course, will deliver a long and healthy life. Oh, but the food supply and the water supply have been under attack for years, and so too is the air that we breathe, as a result of pollution Anne they've even frightened people away from spending time in the sun because, apparently, it gives you cancer.
Truthfully, you're more likely to get cancer from the sun's screen that you use on your skin to keep the rays bay, but it's those rays that allow the body to make its own supply of vitamin D. Corbin pharma strikes again. It's a multimillion dollar, this sunscreen industry. Most of us in the developed world are vitamin D deficient. And we're also pretty sick. What proportion of people over 50 or even over 40 are on some kind of long term medication? Daily tablets for hypertension.
That's high blood pressure. For example, or how about diabetes medication? Adult onset diabetes, used to be called type 2 diabetes. It's the sort that comes from excess sugar and the pancreas shutting down later in life as opposed to being born with it. It's nearly always the result of a diet that's too high in sugar and processed foods. Maybe you're thinking, oh, I'm okay.
I don't add sugar to anything, but remember that nearly every manufactured or processed food contains loads of hidden sugar. It's even in bread. And of course, in anything described as low fat. Because fat gives food its flavor or at least a large amount of its flavor. And if you strip out the fat, you've got to put the flavor back somehow, so they use sugar Anne they use questionable flavorings like monosodium agglutamate, which is pretty well, considered now to be carcinogenic.
Oh, and incidentally, alcohol is almost identical to sugar at the molecular level, and the body soon converts it. So if you're wondering why your waste has gradually thickened over the years, just consider how many bottles of wine you drink during the week or spirits, which seem to have an even more dramatic effect. Now back to those long term medications, statins have been forced on patients by doctors because the doctor practices get subsidies for prescribing them.
The doctors are given targets, or the practice is given targets, Anne the incentives are there for them to, you know, make substantial sums of money. But you know that, and the birth control pill are the only two forms of preventative medicine that I ever recall coming across in the NHS, apart from vaccinations, of course, but I'm going to do another, podcast about that in the very near future.
But even in the days when you could actually get hold of a doctor for a consultation, and for days you could actually into a doctor's office, there was never time to discuss what might be causing your illness. As soon as you described a symptom or 2, the doctor would reach for their pad or for their, keyboard and start tapping away. Anne you'd be on your way to the pharmacy to obtain some sort of chemical remedy. And you know what I think about those.
What a great many of our modern ailments are down to is diet. There's no question about that. But it comes as a surprise to many to know that what's going on in your head is also very relevant to the state your health. I was reminded recently because I saw a a poster, which said you can eat Cale, you can drink the alkaline water, take the supplements, do pilates, or go to the gym, but if you don't deal with the stuff, going on in your head, your heart, and your mind, you are still unhealthy.
People who are living under stress for several years, very often end up with some form of cancer. It can come from over work. It can come from sometimes caring after a, looking after a family member who is suffering from a long term illness. There are all sorts of reasons, but it's it's an indication how stress can drag you down health wise. And it's fairly obvious when you think about it. Why shouldn't there be repercussions? But also mental and emotional baggage can really weigh you down.
So If you can learn a method to let go of past traumas, the benefits on your health will be just as dramatic as improving your diet or your, your exercise habit. Very odd, We're not even aware what it is that's dragging us down. Often the, this emotional baggage is preventing us from meeting success when we're pursuing goals of one type or another, and psychologically, you can boil down the reasons into sort of 4+2 categories, There's fear, there's anger, there's love, and sadness.
But in addition to that, there's also strangely enough, enjoyment, and judgment. Now judgment is a big one. You might not be aware of this, But if you are, judgmental kind of character Anne if you are finding fault all the time, with, for example, the people you live with, the people you work with, the situation politically, I mean, let's be honest, there is so much that we can make judgments about.
If you can't handle it, if you can't kind of compartmentalize it Anne step out of the vibration, if you like, it is going to take a toll on your health. Something that you can do, is become your own coach, takes a while, takes a bit of discipline, and a bit of coaching would probably help. But there are ways that you can analyze and process it, You can verbalize it, sometimes talking about issues.
It can be very therapeutic, but, really, it does just come down to taking control, establishing discipline, routines, and not allowing yourself to feel like a victim, and try and put the past in a compartment Anne stop going over and over things that have happened that had unfortunate consequences.
You know, when we complete when we constantly revisit and reminisce and dwell Anne reemerge in what could have happened, and we find ourselves blaming some other person or some other circumstance, it's not doing us any good. It's much better if we can find a way of Overcoming. Whatever the issue is Anne stepping away from it Anne basically moving on with our lives. Yes, we should learn from the past, but the pain was there to teach us something, so we have to also learn to release it.
And then we try to live in the now. We focus on the present. Okay. I'm not saying it's easy, but that's the ideal. Because if you start learning about time Anne the best way to manage it, they do tell you that the only bit of time you can really effect is what's going on right now because the past is over and done with, and the future hasn't yet happened. So worrying about it, is not going to be particularly good for you. Yes, it's good to plan.
Yes, it's good to strategize, but not to worry because worry is extremely unproductive. It does solve anything, and it's a habit that would be a really good one to break.
